(0:00) Alhamdulillah, we praise God. (0:05) wa ash'hadu alla ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharika lah (0:08) And we bear witness that there is no god except the one God. (0:12) I started the machine here and all it said was la ilaha illallah, it was not planned this way. (0:18) But la ilaha illallah is the greatest statement. (0:22) It is the statement that will redeem us and will take us back to God's kingdom. (0:26) And God will accept us back if we believe this statement, la ilaha illallah, in words and in deeds. (0:35) And yesterday Mahmoud made a discovery, I hope I'm not stealing his quota next week, (0:40) but la ilaha illallah, in Arabic, looks like this. (0:49) What Mahmoud did, he put the grammatical value of this, (0:53) L is 30, F is 1, 1, 30, 5, these are the numerical values of these letters, next to each other. (1:05) This is 5, thank you, sorry, not this time. (1:09) 1, 30, 1, 1, 30, 30, 5. (1:17) This is la ilaha illallah, next to each other, expressed in numbers. (1:21) And this is a multiple of 19, that's quite a discovery. (1:29) Because as you know, God's stamp on everything is the number 19. (1:34) On you, the number of bones in your body is 19 times 14, 266, excuse me, the number of bones is 209, (1:45) 19 times 11, and you are in your mother's womb, if you are a full term baby, 266 days. (1:54) This is what we have in the science books, the embryology textbook at the school of medicine, right here. (2:02) 266 days for a full term baby. (2:04) And la ilaha illallah, the grammatical value is 19 multiple. (2:12) I want to reflect together with you, myself and you, on the question, who was your God last week? (2:25) Who was your God last week? (2:27) Don't answer me, don't even shake your head, this is between you and yourself. (2:31) We are going to together reflect on it, me and you. (2:35) Let's start last Saturday. (2:38) Who was your God on Saturday? (2:40) Did you think about God the majority of the time on Saturday? (2:49) When you got up in the morning, did you say Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim on Saturday? (2:56) Lady, I said don't shake your head, and now I know you did, okay. (3:01) It's between you and yourself. (3:04) Did you do the morning prayer on time, on Saturday, before sunrise? (3:13) Who was your God on Saturday? (3:17) You got up in the morning, you mentioned the name of God, Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim. (3:20) The first thing when you got up, did you make wudu, and prayed the morning before sunrise? (3:28) This is what God wants you to do, if He is your God, you did that. (3:36) Then you put on your clothes, you had breakfast, did you think about the milk? (3:43) It came from blood, there are those glands in the cow that go to the blood as a source, (3:50) and takes out the protein, a whole bunch of vitamins, the right percentage of fat. (4:00) You know you cannot have vitamin A without fat. (4:03) The word fat has a bad meaning these days, but really you cannot have vitamin A without fat. (4:09) It is bound in the fat, so you have to have a percentage of it. (4:15) And those glands of the cow, God created them so they will go and get the right proportion. (4:22) This is why they supplement the milk with vitamins A and D, because the fat has to have (4:28) those two vitamins, connected, bound in the fat. (4:32) Did you think about the milk? (4:33) How white it is? (4:35) The standard white is milk, they use it as a standard for the color white. (4:40) And it came out of what? (4:42) Red. (4:43) Blood. (4:44) Did you think about this and praise God? (4:48) Was God your God? (4:50) About the cereal where you put the milk on, where did it come from? (4:55) Did you think about God and the grain going in the ground, germinating, giving you 700 (5:01) grains or whatever, of wheat or barley or oats or corn, whatever the cereal was, or rice. (5:10) Did you praise God for that? (5:15) Maybe you put some strawberries or bananas on top of the cereal, or peaches. (5:21) Did you think about God's creation, of the flavor, the texture, the smell, the taste? (5:27) God made those. (5:30) When you finish your breakfast, did you say bismillahirrahmanirrahim before you started (5:33) to eat? (5:34) There is a commandment in the Quran that says do not eat from that upon which God's name (5:39) was not mentioned. (5:42) It is a commandment, and if God were your God on Saturday, last Saturday, you said bismillahirrahmanirrahim (5:49) before you ate. (5:52) See God is helping you to grow and to develop. (5:59) You finished eating, you changed your clothes, did you think about the textiles that make (6:07) up your clothes? (6:08) The cotton, or the wool, or the plastic? (6:13) Whatever it is, God made it all. (6:17) As you dress, I bet you forgot to thank God for the heater. (6:25) You got up, it is very cold outside, and you take it for granted, you get up, you take (6:30) your shower, and you do your prayers, and you eat, you are not thinking that the environment (6:33) in your house is perfect, it is not too cold, not too hot, you take it for granted. (6:39) But God provided that. (6:44) And then you got in your car to go to work, you said bismillahirrahmanirrahim before you (6:48) started the engine, was God your God on Saturday? (6:56) When you came to that traffic light, you said please God keep it green as you approached. (7:05) When you crossed on red, and you saw that policeman waiting right there, did you say (7:11) please God make him blind? (7:17) I mean you have to think of God the whole time, if God was your God you would do that. (7:25) And if God was your God, that policeman was blind, he did not see you cross on red. (7:30) You become invisible to the police, it is true. (7:38) And during work, did you think about God? (7:41) It is very important, because there is too much at stake. (7:49) Your happiness here, now, and forever, depends on that. (7:54) Remember Luke 12, 29-31, it says, seek God's kingship over you and everything else follows. (8:01) Everything else is fixed for you. (8:05) We are now in an era of distinction between Satan's kingdom and God's kingdom. (8:12) There is a distinction, God's kingdom is perfect. (8:16) If you want to have perfect health, perfect wealth, perfect peace of mind and happiness, (8:23) you have to be in God's sight. (8:28) God is running everything, it is not even funny. (8:34) He left for us just one issue to deal with, whether to be in God's kingdom or in Satan's kingdom. (8:40) That's it. (8:42) The rest is not even funny, the words we say. (8:47) And we are speaking from experience, I just don't know how to express it to you. (8:51) God is doing everything, it is a very difficult concept to understand. (8:55) But first you have to believe it, then God will show you. (8:59) First you believe, then God will show you and will prove it to you, (9:05) in a very practical way, in a way that you cannot miss. (9:18) Was God your God on Sunday? (9:22) Monday? (9:25) Tuesday? (9:27) There is a system that you have to follow in the Quran. (9:31) Did you tell somebody, I am going to do something tomorrow, or in two hours, without saying insha'Allah? (9:36) Or did you say insha'Allah? (9:37) God willing. (9:41) Were you afraid that people may laugh at you? (9:46) Or did you say God willing? (9:51) Did you see something you like and you say subhanAllah? (9:54) A flower, or the sunrise, or the clouds? (10:00) You say subhanAllah, but God be glorified. (10:03) You don't have to say it in Arabic, you can say it in a new language. (10:07) God be glorified. (10:12) Anything that you like, your health, you are eating something and you taste how delicious (10:19) it is and you enjoy it, and you thank God for the taste. (10:27) Taste, we take it for granted, but when you taste anything, a piece of candy or a piece (10:32) of meat, you thank God for it. (10:37) Jim Brady, Reagan's press secretary, when he was shot, one of the things he lost was (10:43) the sense of taste. (10:47) Carrot tail, fish from apple, this is a blessing that we have and we take for granted. (10:57) When you taste anything, did you say thank you God? (11:00) God be praised? (11:02) This is what it means, God is your God. (11:05) This is why the Quran repeats all those people who do know that God is the creator of the (11:10) heavens and the earth, the one who created them, provided for them, but God is not their (11:15) God, they are going to hell. (11:17) Why does the Quran repeat that? (11:22) You know it is going to take us two or three or four months to really get into this act (11:27) and really have God as our God. (11:31) And I am counting myself with you, and this is why we have to keep reminding ourselves. (11:37) Don't feel bad that you forget, or that God was not your God in the last week, we are (11:45) going to work on it, it is going to take us a few months, because Satan is after us. (11:54) So if you went through this with me and you found that God was not your God in the last (12:00) week, don't feel bad about it, just work on it next week. (12:05) To do that let us repent. (12:08) tubu ila Allah. (12:27) There are two kinds of people in this world, no third, a submitter and an objector. (12:37) Every human being you look at is either a submitter or an objector, there is no in-between. (12:43) The submitter accepts everything that God does and is happy with it, he tells God, if (12:48) this is what you want, I accept it cheerfully. (12:51) And he or she means it, they are cheerful, they are very happy. (12:54) Remember the sign, happiness is submission to God? (12:58) Sometimes I feel like putting it back, submission instead of devotion, submission, accepting (13:05) everything that God is doing. (13:07) The objector objects, he or she doesn't like what God is doing. (13:13) So the rule is really very simple, there are two kinds of people, a submitter who is always (13:20) happy, and an objector who is always miserable, and there is no in-between. (13:26) You can also put it the other way around, there are two kinds of people, a continuously (13:32) happy person who is a submitter, or a continuously miserable person who is an objector. (13:38) It is interchangeable, it is the same. (13:42) The submitter is always happy because he or she accepts whatever God is doing, whatever (13:46) is happening, he or she understands that God has a good reason for it. (13:56) The objector doesn't like what God is doing, and that is too bad for the objector. (14:02) So remember that, and remember to be a submitter. (14:05) I don't know which comes first, the egg or the chicken, but the submitter is always happy, (14:12) and the happy person is a submitter. (14:16) Now I have a question for you, and you can answer me, what is the longest surah in the Quran? (14:23) Surah number two, and what is the name of it? (14:28) Zakat, the cow, literally, in Arabic, the cow. (14:33) Now surah number two, the longest surah in the Quran, it is full of laws. (14:38) Laws of marriage, divorce, hajj, prayer, fasting, war, prayers, it is full of rules and laws, (14:49) but what is the name? (14:51) You know who gave the name to the surahs? (14:54) God did. (14:55) So why did God pick out the cow? (14:59) Of all these subjects in this longest surah in the Quran, why did God pick out this name, (15:04) which is rather outlandish, the cow? (15:08) Now the heifer in English sounds nicer, but al-baqarah, it is in Arabic, the cow. (15:15) And in some translations you will see it as the cow. (15:18) Why? (15:19) We have to think about it together. (15:23) Because it reflects, or it teaches us, total and absolute submission to God. (15:29) God told the Israelites, sacrifice a cow. (15:35) They didn't say, yes sir, they argued, what kind of cow? (15:45) And the answer came back, it is a cow that is not too old, not too young. (15:51) And they said, what color? (15:55) And then they argued back and forth. (15:59) So it became more and more difficult for them. (16:06) But do you understand the point? (16:08) Why did God pick out that name for the longest surah? (16:15) You tell the Arabs, there is not a single one here, you tell the Arabs, the wudu is (16:20) four steps, they say, what is wrong with nine? (16:25) You tell them, God says, do not make distinction among the messengers. (16:29) He said, what kind of distinction? (16:31) Distinction in what? (16:34) This is why God taught the name of the cow, gave the name of the surah as the cow. (16:43) There is a great lesson there. (16:44) When God says the wudu is four steps, that is it, the wudu is four steps, yes sir. (16:50) And out of all the commandments of the Quran, after the commandment, do not make distinction (16:55) among the messengers, God says, the believers will say, we hear and we obey. (17:03) They do not argue back, they do not say, distinction in what? (17:08) They all say that, distinction in what? (17:13) They are insisting on going to hell. (17:17) So God is teaching us, very early in the Quran, that whatever he says, we say yes sir, and (17:24) we do it, without argument.
