47) Quran Study: Surah 1 & Surah 2
Introduction to Blue Quran Sura 1 & beginning of Sura 2 - Rashad Khalifa
Speaker 1 (0:10) It's the red sky, it's a good example of it. (0:12) Don't look at it with this camera. (0:21) The theme of the book. (0:23) It's amazing how growing up in so-called Muslim countries, they breed fanaticism into you. (0:32) And I'm going to use Adib again as an example. (0:34) Adib is a very enlightened Muslim, very, very, definitely guided by Allah subhana wa ta'ala. (0:41) And only two weeks ago, he came to me and made a confession. (0:47) He said, I used to think until this morning that no Jew or Christian can make it to heaven. (0:54) This is how we were taught. (0:57) But now, alhamdulillah, I believe, I'm now convinced of this verse in the Quran, that there are righteous Christians, and righteous Jews, and righteous Muslims, who are dedicated to God alone. (1:10) Of course, there are other verses in the Quran also that confirm this. (1:14) Like 3.113, I think, that says, among the Muslim nations, there are those who are righteous, and they make it to heaven. (1:22) Okay, that's the theme of the book, and it is very important. (1:26) We're going to skip the copyright page, and the other title page. (1:35) I want to read the acknowledgement. (1:37) Grateful acknowledgement is made to Lisa Strait for her tireless work in editing and helping in the production of this monumental and historical project. (1:50) She worked days and nights on this, as you know, and we congratulate her with all the credit she accumulated. (1:58) Significant editorial assistance was also provided by Yadiv Yusef, Lydia Kelly, Mitut Adesoma, Susan Harrison, and Emily Stern, for which I am thankful. (2:10) Of course, God is the one who rewards all these people, and in many different senses, every one of you contributed to this monument. (2:18) God knows that, and he will reward you accordingly, even though you remain anonymous. (2:25) The next page says, Proclaiming one religion for all the people. (2:35) Now, speaking strictly from an outsider point of view, as one who's looking from the outside, this is one of the most... (2:44) In fact, it is the main function of the message of the covenant, is to unify, consolidate all the religions in the world into one. (2:55) And this is not a bright idea of a human being or a collection of human beings, as I wrote before. (3:01) This is God's plan, and therefore God will do it. (3:05) It's not... (3:06) No human beings, no armies in the whole world can do it. (3:08) God will do it. (3:09) And God will prepare the hearts of the new generations, of the Christians, the Jews, the Hindus, the Buddhists, and so on, to accept one religion, that will be God's religion. (3:22) And this is why the theme, the theme of the book, is a unifying theme. (3:29) So, proclaiming one religion for all the people. (3:31) It may not even take two generations. (3:35) And then you will see this final testament printed with the Old Testament and the New Testament in one book. (3:40) And you will see people unifying into one major religion, which is God's religion. (3:46) And by the end of the world, even though this started out to be a second kingdom, it's gone, God will... (3:53) God has always been a winner, but as far as this tiny planet Earth is concerned, God's religion will be the winner before the end of the world. (4:02) So, this is the main function, and this is a very important function. (4:05) And like I said, I'm just looking, as one looking from the outside. (4:11) Proclaiming one religion for all the people. (4:13) The final testament, this final testament consolidates all the messages delivered by all of God's messengers into one global message. (4:21) Henceforth, there's only one religion that is approved by God. (4:26) Islam is not a name, it is a description. (4:29) Those are sufficient regards. (4:31) Worshipping God and devoting the worship absolutely to him alone. (4:34) And you can see here the word submission emerging to replace, not replace, actually it's the correction of the word, the Arabic word. (4:43) If we speak in Arabic, we will still say Islam and we will still say Muslim in Arabic. (4:48) This is the way the Quran uses it. (4:50) But if you speak Japanese, you have to translate the word Islam to the Japanese word for submission, and you cannot use the word Muslim when you speak in Japanese. (5:00) You cannot speak Japanese and all of a sudden you utter Arabic. (5:03) You have to speak Japanese and translate the word Muslim to the Japanese equivalent for submission. (5:10) So this is the one religion. (5:12) Total submission to God. (5:14) Worshipping God and devoting the worship absolutely to him alone. (5:17) Anyone who meets this criterion is a submitter. (5:21) The new translation, this is the old translation, right? (5:27) The new translation is to be a submitter. (5:29) Anyone who meets this criterion is a submitter. (5:32) Thus, you may be a Muslim Jew, a Muslim Christian, a Muslim Buddhist, a Muslim Hindu, or a Muslim Muslim. (5:38) And today we were recalling the incident in Washington, D.C., and that was on the 19th of July, by the way. (5:46) It was the day I spoke to the World Future Society. (5:50) And Ehsan was sitting at the table with the... (5:54) We had a Jew, a Protestant, and we needed a Catholic. (5:58) And there was one empty chair with a big round table. (6:01) And this man came by and he said, Hi, can I join you? (6:05) And said not to be the Catholic we needed. (6:07) And he said, I submit to the one God. (6:10) I'm a submitter. (6:11) And the Jew said he's a submitter. (6:13) And the Protestant said he was a submitter. (6:16) And they said we cannot bring ourselves to say I'm a Muslim. (6:19) But they really meant it. (6:20) We submit to the one God. (6:21) Because the Catholic started out by talking about Jesus and this and that. (6:25) And he said, Jesus is God. (6:26) And he said, where is it in the Bible? (6:28) Can you show me in the Bible where it says Jesus is God? (6:33) You know, the Christians have certain verses, their favorites. (6:37) Like, I'm the way, I'm the life, I'm the truth. (6:40) You know, in the beginning there was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, and all these things. (6:45) I said, okay, well Jesus may be the way, and the life, and the truth, but why does he say I'm God? (6:49) I'm the way, I'm the life, I'm the truth. (6:51) He didn't say I'm God. (6:52) He may be the way, the life, the truth, he may be all of this. (6:55) Show me where he says I am God. (6:57) And I show you ten places where he says I'm not God. (7:00) Straightforward. (7:01) Anyway, before the end of the discussion, he did say, I submit to the one God, and the one. (7:06) So, we have examples of people saying, and we had Muslim Muslims at the table. (7:13) They went, Khalil was there, and Khalil was there. (7:19) Okay, okay, verse 19 of surah 3 says, the only religion acceptable by God is submission. (7:27) And 85, surah 3 says, anyone who accepts other than submission as his religion, it will not be accepted from him. (7:35) He will end up a loser in the hereafter. (7:38) So as you see, we are already advanced, even beyond this new translation. (7:44) See, I'm reading to you, I'm changing the word, the Arabic word, to the English word, submission. (7:50) And this is, we should be thankful to God for advancing so fast. (7:56) All religions of the world, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc., have been corrupted through idolization of their prophets and saints. (8:06) This is a statement of fact. (8:08) What's happening now? (8:10) Now, being advanced, before I forget this part, I want you to know that maybe only about 50 years from now, they will show your picture, my picture, holding a book like this and looking at it and they'll be laughing at you. (8:28) 50 years ago, they used to have things called books made of paper with ink printed on them, bulky things, because 50 years from now, probably they'll be using something like a small TV. (8:41) You push a button and the picture is shown in front of you. (8:45) Or something like that. (8:46) Because the books are kind of primitive. (8:50) Everything will be advanced. (8:53) So, it is good that we are going at this pace to the point that we were ahead of the book that just came out of the press. (9:17) But as I said, this is a transition for the new translation. (9:23) So if you want to reserve your copy for the new translation, leave your name with the hashtag. (9:29) I'm already working on it. (9:32) Okay, now you flip the page and you see some biblical verses that are predicting the coming of the Prophet Muhammad and the Quran. (9:44) From Deuteronomy 18.15 A prophet like me, with the Lord your God, raise up for you from among your kinsmen, to whom you shall listen. (9:53) The next verse is from also Deuteronomy 18. (9:58) God telling Moses, I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their kinsmen, and will put my words into his mouth. (10:06) He shall tell them all that I command him. (10:09) If any man will not listen to my words, which he speaks in my name, I myself will make him answer for you. (10:17) So as you see, God is I mean, even here in Deuteronomy, the accuracy, you can see the accuracy of the language. (10:28) We are not following Muhammad, we are not following Rashad Khalifa, we are not following any human being. (10:33) And don't let anybody tell you that. (10:36) I don't follow Rashad Khalifa, and you don't follow Rashad Khalifa. (10:40) We follow the words of God. (10:42) We follow God. (10:45) When people make those statements, they're making them out of their idolatry. (10:50) Because they idolize Ali and Muhammad and Hussain and Jesus and Mary and so on. (10:55) They idolize human beings. (10:57) We follow the words of God. (10:59) And if Rashad Khalifa says anything on his own, we don't listen to him. (11:03) We can listen and use our own discretion. (11:06) But we follow, we do not follow what Rashad is saying, we follow what God is saying. (11:10) You and I. (11:12) So you can see here that God is saying, if any man will not listen to my words, the words of God, which he speaks in my name, the name of God, I myself will make him answer for it. (11:25) So the idea of messengers is that it's not the messengers at all. (11:29) If the messengers we know never existed, we have to find other people to deliver the message. (11:34) It is the message that is important. (11:37) It is the words of God that we follow. (11:39) And you can see the accuracy of the words even in the translated, all the scriptures. (11:44) The next statement from John 14, 16, 17, Jesus says, I will ask the Father and he will give you another character to be with you always, the spirit of truth. (11:55) Because the Quran, the last message from God, remember the message not the messengers, the message came and it will be with us until the end of the world. (12:06) This, the Quran. (12:09) And the Prophet Muhammad was of course the one who received it and delivered it. (12:15) So this verse speaks about the Prophet Muhammad in my opinion. (12:21) In 16, 13, Jesus says, when the spirit of truth comes to you, he will guide you to all truth. (12:28) As you will see, we're going to read the introduction together, and you will see that the picture is being perfected. (12:34) You meet people now, now in our generation, and they have no idea why we came to this world, what it is all about, where we're going, where we came from. (12:44) They don't know. (12:46) And you can feel the privilege that God has given you. (12:50) Because we have the complete picture, we have the whole truth, and we have it supported by physical evidence. (13:01) When the spirit of truth comes to you, he will guide you to all truth, and will announce to you the things to come. (13:09) We've got all the information here, even the end of the world, and when it will be, when it will take place, and what are the signs that remain to be there. (13:18) In Malachi 3, we see the, which is the last book of the Old Testament, you see a prophecy about the message of the covenant. (13:27) It says, though I am sending my messenger, obviously this is God speaking, though I am sending my messenger to prepare the way before me, and suddenly there will come to the temple the Lord whom you seek, and the message of the covenant whom you desire. (13:48) Yes, he is coming, says the Lord of all forces, Rabb al-Alamin but who will endure the day of his coming, and who can stand when he appears, for he is like the refiner's fire, he will keep purified. (14:04) Malachi 3, 1-2-3 It amazes me, wherever I go, as to the pain that the opponents suffer from proclaiming the word of God alone. (14:23) Otis, who is Otis? (14:26) Caroline, I don't know if you know this or not, but Caroline was telling us when we were in her house the other day that she went in a store and she saw a lady dressed in a Middle Eastern way and said, Assalamu alaikum. (14:40) The lady ran to the back of the store and brought her husband. (14:44) And he came and he said, I guess Caroline was not dressed traditionally Middle Eastern. (14:50) And the wife, this woman has no business telling me Assalamu alaikum, she's not even covering her hair. (14:56) So the husband came and asked Caroline, when did you become Muslim, where did you come from? (15:01) And she said, I come from Tucson. (15:04) And I think he said something about crazy Rashad Khalifa and she said, yes, I know him. (15:10) And then he said, don't mention his name in this neighborhood. (15:11) Are you familiar with this story, Otis? (15:14) Oh, okay. (15:15) Caroline will tell us when she comes, she's coming next week. (15:19) But this is what she said, who was with me when she said that. (15:24) I don't know if I told this story like you said, but the summary of it is, okay, this guy said, don't mention his name in this neighborhood. (15:31) And he said it in a half-time way, right? (15:34) Some kind of a threat. (15:36) And this, it puzzles me, but when I look at these verses from Malachi, that says, yet, but who will endure the day of his coming? (15:47) Now, God describes the message as a heavy message. (15:51) In other words, you have to be strong to receive it. (15:55) And it probably has to do with our initial inclination not to accept God's absolute authority. (16:06) Remember why we are here? (16:07) To try and commit it. (16:13) All the doors. (16:17) We have to build a soundproof room or something. (16:23) To me, there is no explanation to this hostility. (16:26) And of course, we have been experiencing this here with the idol-worshippers. (16:32) However, let's see, it's a statement of the Quran, though. (16:36) We should not be surprised. (16:41) There's a verse here that I want you to look at. (16:51) Was somebody assigned to give this Quranic study? (16:55) It's too late. (16:59) I want to assign Linda. (17:00) Barony is going to give the Quranic study next time. (17:04) Two weeks from tonight. (17:06) I don't want to forget that. (17:10) Ahmed, there will be another time. (17:12) Linda, Barony. (17:18) Okay, look at surah 42, verse 13. (17:21) 42, verse 13. (17:31) 42, verse 13 explains why they are so hostile and why they cannot stand the message of being devoted to God alone. (17:45) Okay. (17:47) The subtitle is only one religion. (17:48) It fits with the theme that we're talking about. (17:51) He decreed for you the same religion He decreed for Noah and what will inspire to you. (17:57) The kids are still sleeping. (18:01) Send them to the children's room with the baby. (18:11) He decreed for you the same religion He decreed for Noah and what will inspire to you and what will decreed for Abraham, Moses, and Jesus. (18:18) You shall uphold this one religion and do not divide it. (18:22) Then I inserted the subtitle in the middle of the verse. (18:25) It says monotheists, that's us, versus idol worshippers. (18:29) The idol worshippers will resent what you invite them to do. (18:33) God redeems to Himself whoever He wins. (18:36) He guides to Himself everyone who submits. (18:42) So they resent it. (18:44) That's why they cannot stand this message of worshiping God alone and being devoted to God alone. (18:52) That person who told the carillon don't mention his name in this neighborhood never saw me, never heard me and there is no reason whatsoever for him to be hostile. (19:02) He's not even from the Middle East. (19:04) He's the person who was born here. (19:05) It has nothing to do with Sunni or whatever. (19:09) Yet the name provokes hostility. (19:14) But this is what God said in America and the Quran also like we read. (19:21) Okay, now we go to the big criterion. (19:25) The next page. (19:26) It says when God alone is mentioned the hearts of those who do not believe in the hereafter shrink with aversion but when others are mentioned besides Him, they rejoice. (19:36) Surah 39, verse 45. (19:38) This is our criterion to distinguish the people and even ourselves and to show that we believe in the hereafter. (19:51) If I am averse to the idea of God alone this tells me that I don't believe in the hereafter even if I say with my lips that I believe in the hereafter. (20:00) And this criterion is so powerful that the most famous translator of the Quran Abdullah Yusuf Ali could not bring himself to translate it honestly. (20:11) He did not say when God alone is mentioned. (20:13) He said when God the one and only is mentioned. (20:16) The one and only does not mean alone at all. (20:18) The one and only is the same as the great or the forgiver or the merciful. (20:24) When God the merciful is mentioned the hearts of those. (20:26) When God the great is mentioned the hearts of those. (20:30) When God the generous, the most gracious is mentioned the hearts of those. (20:34) But when God alone is mentioned the hearts of those. (20:39) Because when God the most merciful is mentioned even the idol worshippers don't mind it. (20:44) But when God alone is mentioned they become disturbed. (20:49) The next page are the contents. (20:52) And we have the surah numbers, the name of the surah in English and in Arabic. (20:56) And then the number of verses for those who will do research. (20:59) There is a lot of mathematical structure, pure mathematical structure that is, as you will read in the appendices, based on the number of verses and the numbers of surahs. (21:10) It has nothing to do with the literary composition. (21:14) And then there is a glossary for people who are not familiar with Median or Hijrah calendar and things like that. (21:21) And then you can continue to flip the pages until you see on the 27th night of Ramadan. (21:29) We had this in the other translation but there is more knowledge. (21:33) We learned a few things since nine years ago when the first translation was written. (21:39) And you will see it reflected almost in every page here. (21:43) This page says, On the 27th night of Ramadan of the year 13 before Hijrah, 16 AD, the Prophet Muhammad was summoned to the highest possible point, millions of light years from the planet Earth and this Quran was placed into his heart. (21:57) We have the verses. (21:59) Subsequently the Quran was released into Muhammad's memory with Gabriel's mediation over a period of 23 years, from 610 to 632 AD. (22:08) And we have the verse. (22:10) At the moment of release, Muhammad scrupulously wrote it down with his own hand. (22:15) It has been divinely guarded since then. (22:17) See appendices 1 and 28. (22:19) So you can see the changes. (22:22) They're big changes but they're subtle. (22:25) Even in the first translation there was no mistake because what I wrote in the first translation was, at the moment of release, it was scrupulously written down and divinely guarded since then. (22:35) So that was good luck. (22:40) Even though I was trapped in what they taught us then, that Muhammad was an illiterate man who couldn't either write. (22:46) And now we know better. (22:48) We have evidence now that he wrote it with his own hand and the copy that he wrote and the chronological sequence of writing was destroyed by the people who added two false statements at the end of Surah 9. (23:02) They won the war, they think. (23:06) Now we read the introduction. (23:08) I want to read it first with you. (23:13) This is God's final message to humanity. (23:15) All of God's prophets have come to this world and all the scriptures have been delivered. (23:21) The time has come to purify and consolidate all the messages delivered by God's prophets into one message and proclaim that henceforth only one religion is acceptable to God. (23:31) Submission. (23:33) Islam is not the name of a religion. (23:35) It is a description. (23:37) Islam is the total submission and devotion to God alone. (23:41) Thus there are many Muslim Christians, Muslim Jews, and Muslim Muslims. (23:44) I have met some of them. (23:46) There is only one religion, devoting one's worship to God alone. (23:50) This is the first commandment in the Old Testament, the New Testament, and this Final Testament. (23:55) Now that the message is complete, we have received such crucial information as the purpose of our life, how we came into this world, and where we are going. (24:05) One may ask, why did God wait all this time to perfect and consolidate his message? (24:11) What about all those people since Adam who did not receive the complete scripture? (24:16) To put these questions in the right perspective, let us look at the world population from Adam to the end of the world. (24:23) It is a matter of simple statistics that the world's population from the beginning until now did not exceed 6 billion. (24:30) From now to the end of the world, reported here as 22 AD see appendix 25, it is estimated that the world's population will exceed 75 billion. (24:41) In other words, the vast majority of people are yet to come to this world. (24:46) God's purified and consolidated message, therefore, is destined to reach the vast majority of humans. (24:51) Just think, in about 20 years, in 20 years from now, there will be twice the population of earth, of people on earth. (25:00) Now these are twice the population of the present population who never heard about Jesus being son of God or God or Trinity. (25:09) They are coming into this world for a fresh start. (25:12) They never heard all this nonsense of corrupted religions, Islam, Christianity, Judaism. (25:19) But they will get the one unified message. (25:23) Inshallah. (25:24) You see here the graph showing world population from now, 1989, to the end of the world, 22 AD. (25:32) And the black box represents the world population since Adam until now. (25:39) So this is the question that you have already been asked. (25:43) And you will be asked, what about all those people? (25:46) What happens to them? (25:48) The same question was asked of Moses, remember? (25:51) Pharaoh said, what about all those people in the past? (25:53) Why are you coming to tell us about God and this and that? (25:57) And Moses said, the right answer. (26:00) Their master is with God. (26:02) That is the character. (26:03) Yeah. (26:04) That's their business. (26:07) It all began a few billion years ago when one of God's high-ranking creatures, Satan, developed supercilious thoughts that he could be a God besides God. (26:17) This challenge to God's absolute authority was not only blasphemous, it was totally erroneous. (26:22) Satan was ignorant of the fact that God alone possesses the power and qualification to be a God, and that there is much more to Godhood than he could have ever imagined. (26:32) It was ignorance coupled with pride that led Satan to believe that he could take care of a dominion as a God and run it efficiently without disease, misery, war, accidents, and chaos. (26:44) While Satan was the initiator of this horrendous blasphemy, billions of creatures agreed with Satan. (26:49) They decided that Satan's God-given powers did qualify him to be a God in his own right. (26:55) Thus, a profound dispute erupted within the heavenly society, as we see in Surah 28, verse 69. (27:05) The rebel's unjustifiable challenge to God's absolute authority was met and resolved in the most efficient manner. (27:14) If you claim that you can fly a plane, the best way to test your claim is to give you a plane and ask you to fly it. (27:21) This is precisely what God decided to do in response to Satan's claim that he could be a God. (27:26) As for those who agreed with Satan, they were given a chance to reconsider their decision and accept God's absolute authority or go through a test where they witnessed Satan's attempt to prove his abilities as a God. (27:40) About 100 billion creatures chose to participate in Satan's demonstration. (27:45) Now, please excuse me and bear with me for reading like this. (27:49) It's rather boring when you read from a book, but this is very important, and I think you agree with me. (27:53) It's very important to understand the introduction and the reason for us being here. (28:00) The heavenly dispute led to the classification of God's creatures into three different categories. (28:06) Number one, angels, creatures who never questioned God's absolute authority. (28:11) They knew that God alone possessed the power to be a God. (28:15) Number two, jinns, the creatures who decided that Satan was capable of being a God. (28:20) Number three, you and I, creatures who remained neutral. (28:24) They questioned God's absolute authority. (28:28) These creatures believed that Satan might possess sufficient power to run a dominion. (28:32) You and I said, hmm, that's an interesting idea. (28:35) You know, let's have a demonstration. (28:37) Maybe you can do it. (28:38) But by doing so, we questioned God's absolute authority. (28:41) We did not make a firm stand. (28:44) And if Rachel lets me continue, Rachel is the noisy kid right now. (28:55) It is the parent's responsibility to keep the kids quiet, so she's going to be banished. (28:59) Keep her quiet. (29:02) Did I welcome Feroz and Betul Kirmaleh and Gail Cunningham and Movel, Kate, to our meeting tonight? (29:10) I'm sorry. (29:10) But you meet them. (29:12) Love them until the conference is over. (29:16) Now this is one, two, the third paragraph of page XIV. (29:22) It is only logical that members of God's kingdom must uphold God's absolute authority. (29:29) The angels therefore expected Satan and those who agreed with him to be banished from God's kingdom. (29:35) Exiled from God means hell. (29:38) When God informed the angels that he was placing Satan as a god on earth and granting the creatures who agreed with him another chance to be redeemed, the angels wondered, would you place on earth those who would commit evil therein and shed blood? (29:52) Surah 2, verse 30. (29:54) God, the most gracious, most merciful, willed that we get another chance to denounce our blasphemy and redeem ourselves by deciding that God alone possesses all power. (30:05) This is why you see that great criterion at the beginning of this book. (30:10) To carry out the projected test, God created death. (30:13) Surah 67, verses 1 and 2. (30:16) The divine plan called for putting the rebellious creatures to death, then bringing them into another life, this world that I mentioned, where they have no recollection of the heavenly view. (30:28) Under the circumstances of this life, the humans and the jinns are given absolute freedom to reconsider their blasphemous ideas after studying God's messages and Satan's messages. (30:37) Based on their free will decision, they are either redeemed into God's kingdom or remain excised with Satan. (30:45) As you see, the introduction is important, but if you are like me, I don't need the introduction. Speaker 3 (32:29) God, the world, it broke down at that point. Speaker 1 (32:58) You and I, you and I were in blasphemy. (33:04) I did not take it personally. (33:07) Adam and Eve happened to be assigned and God kept them together until God told them, you know people, because you are going to wrong your thoughts if you do. (33:21) If you leave from this place, you are going to live here forever. (33:25) They listened to Satan's message. (33:32) They maintained God's instructions, God's kingdom. (33:38) The planet Earth is an exiled half-way house. (33:42) Death here is carrying us. (33:46) Exiled. (33:46) We cannot sleep in space. (33:49) But up there is God's kingdom. (33:51) Adam and Eve were in God's kingdom because they didn't do anything wrong in this new life. (33:57) They continue to receive God's message and Satan's message. (34:01) The moment they listen to Satan's message, they belong to Satan's kingdom down here. (34:07) Okay? (34:08) Yes. (34:14) It's like you and I. (34:20) The other human beings? (34:23) Yes. (34:24) As the human beings were created, a baby is born right now at this moment and their soul that is being assigned to this baby right now. Speaker 3 (34:38) Yes. (34:42) Will any one of them stay there? (34:44) No. (34:45) Every single one of them will have to come here and go through the test. Speaker 1 (35:04) They did stay there. (35:05) You don't know how many millions of years Adam and Eve stayed there. (35:08) They did stay there for as long as they followed God's plan which is abstention from that forbidden tree. (35:14) A forbidden tree is a symbolic allegorical idea. (35:20) All the human beings already committed that crime came down here. (35:26) But Adam and Eve were the first human beings and I guess in that sense they represented all of us. (35:32) Yes. Speaker 4 (35:50) The same number of genes. Speaker 1 (35:53) The chromosome. Speaker 4 (35:54) Yes. Speaker 1 (36:05) The idea is correct. (36:07) Adam and Eve probably represented all of us and when they get from the tree they represented our tendencies. (36:13) In other words, every other human being if left in heaven long enough, he or she would end up listening to Satan's message and couldn't go down. (36:19) So, save all this time and send them all down to us. (36:22) Let them take the test and redeem themselves if they are going to be. (36:25) Dana has a point to this. Speaker 4 (36:27) Yes. Speaker 1 (36:29) Maybe. (36:38) Why was he the first one? (36:39) That's a possibility. (37:17) Yes. (37:18) Remember Adam was a prophet also. (37:21) Adam was... (37:22) Adam was... (37:31) and grandchildren. (37:34) They lived a long time those days. (37:41) No. (37:43) Abraham's script was all practical. (37:46) There was no writing or reading at the time of Abraham. (37:58) You see, we're laughing. (38:00) It's good to be laughing at us for reading a book like this. (38:03) And we can be laughing at the time of Abraham if we have scary sounds of rocks to read. (38:07) Go ahead. Speaker 3 (38:11) Yes, it was all about Satan. Speaker 1 (38:22) I've been bitten. (38:24) Don't listen to Satan. (38:25) I made a mistake. (38:27) That was his message. (38:28) Very good. (39:18) It's more ignorance, not arrogance. (39:20) The original sin, Moabel, is not what most people think. (39:24) It's eating from the tree. (39:26) That's what most people think. (39:27) The original sin was billions of years before eating from the tree. (39:31) It was when we did not make a firm stand with God's absolute authority. (39:35) When Satan proclaimed that he can be a god and he's right, we said, that's an interesting idea, isn't it? (39:42) That was dumb. (39:45) The jinns were even more stupid. (39:47) They said, yeah, you can do it. (39:50) The angels said, no way. (39:51) They're not the majority. (39:53) The angels were the vast majority, by the way. (39:57) But the jinns and the humans represent the criminal element in the heavenly society. (40:02) That's why we're in this prison. (40:04) The body is the prison. (40:07) So the original sin, you know more than anybody in the whole world now, the original sin was billions of years before eating from the tree. (40:14) Let's go back. (40:31) Yes, that's exactly what it says in 3372. (40:34) The human being was ignorant and the most accurate would be stupid in choosing. (40:42) Because that was another chance for us to be redeemed. (40:46) God said, do you want to submit to my absolute authority or do you want to have a freedom of choice between my message and Satan's message? (40:59) Dumb. (41:02) Really dumb. (41:04) Okay, this is now paragraph three, page XB. (41:11) Putting Satan, the jinns, and the humans to the test stipulated that Satan shall reproduce whenever a human being is born. (41:20) Every time a human being is born, a jinn is born to be the new human's constant companion. (41:27) The human person is subjected to the incessant persuasions of Satan's representative who lives in the same body from birth to death. (41:39) Satan's representative tries to convince the human companion of Satan's point of view that God alone is not enough. (41:47) On the Day of Judgment, the companion serves as a witness for or against the human. (41:52) So, we are all schizophrenic. (41:58) There's another creature in your body. (42:01) That other creature is telling you God alone is not enough. (42:03) And you are trying to convince that other creature who is Satan's descendant that God alone is not enough. (42:27) Yes. (42:37) Yes. (42:38) It's a very good point. (42:39) Do you understand what Abdullah is saying? (42:40) Yes. (42:42) Abdullah is saying that this means that exactly half of jinn and half were humans. (42:47) And this is exactly what happened. (42:49) You can think of it as not a sharp line. (42:53) You can take the whole group that did not make a firm stand with God's absolute authority. (42:57) And the one who was the strongest before Satan, this half, became jinn. (43:02) The half that was less strong were the humans. (43:07) So, God did divide this in half. (43:23) Yes, absolutely. (43:25) Yes. (43:26) Well, of course, this is the whole circumstance that goes with assigning you to this. (43:32) Why are you in this mosque, listening to this? (43:34) God assigned you to this time in history so you listen to this because you deserve this. (43:40) Because God knows in advance which souls are good and which souls are bad. (43:44) We are not here for the benefit of God to know who is what. (43:47) You know, God already knows. (43:48) We are here for our own benefit to be redeemed. (43:51) And God knows what was in our hearts and how strongly we were with or against Satan. (43:57) And on that basis, He assigned babies to your house or somebody else's or your neighbor's house. Speaker 5 (44:20) Right. (44:23) Yes. Speaker 1 (44:23) They didn't have a longer time. (44:27) Remember, they were stronger on Satan's side. (44:30) Because God is just, He gives them more time, more chances to see the universe. (44:34) They fly in this universe and they see stars and things, more than... (44:39) So, God is being very, very, very fair. (44:42) God is the most gracious, most merciful. (44:46) We were considerably on God's side. (44:48) I mean, relatively. (44:50) And they were considerably on Satan's side. (44:52) So, God, when they go to hell, they really deserve it. (44:54) And when the humans go to hell, they really deserve it. (44:57) As you see, we witness many of them working very hard, jumping the fences to go to hell. (45:11) Yes. (45:13) Exactly. (45:22) Very good verse. (45:24) That's why you have a chance to reconsider their decisions. (45:29) Every person is born with instinctive knowledge that God alone and no one else is our Lord and Master. (45:37) Surah 7, verses 172 and 173. (45:40) Additionally, God sent messengers to deliver messages, warnings, and abundant information to help us redeem ourselves. (45:48) With all these elements in view, we can appreciate the fact that the only unforgivable offense, if maintained until death, is idol worship, believing that anyone besides God possesses any power. (46:02) All those people who thank St. Jude in the New Testament for their success in the operation, even though St. Jude never went to medical school, you can see that they are idol worshipers. (46:15) I thought Marif was asking a question. (46:17) Be careful not to scratch your nose. (46:18) You may have to ask a question. (46:22) Paragraph 5. (46:23) The human being is given 40 years to study, look around, reflect, and examine all points of view before making this most important decision, to uphold Satan's point of view or uphold God's absolute authority. (46:36) Anyone who dies before the age of 40 is chosen by God for redemption due to circumstances known only to God. (46:44) If one decides at a young age that God alone possesses all power, then dies before the age of 40, the most probable destiny is the high heaven. (46:52) Otherwise, the lower heaven is the destiny for most people who die before 40. (46:56) Appendix 5. (46:58) As you know, Martin Luther King was taken two months before his 40th birthday. (47:03) God knew, and his grave stone says, Thank God Almighty we are blessed. (47:09) He didn't say, Damn Jesus, or anything like that. (47:11) Malcolm X, who discovered the true Islam, also was taken two months before his 40th birthday. (47:19) Hewitt Newton, who lived in crime, drugs, alcohol, violence, died when he was 47. (47:27) 47 or 49? (47:29) 47. (47:31) So you can see, I mean, we see in our lives all these examples of good people. (47:39) Yes. (47:40) Go ahead. (47:51) Solar. (47:53) You see, it is customary in the whole world when you say you're 40 years old, you go by the solar system. (48:01) And this is universal in the whole world, which means this is what God, this is how God wants us to calculate our age. (48:07) And God says in the verse, when he reaches, or when she reaches 40 years of age, he or she must make that decision. (48:15) So God left it like this and we all say I am this or that age based on the solar year. (48:28) Well, thank God, because we will be all older if we use the lunar year. Speaker 4 (48:38) Nine. (48:39) Nine. Speaker 1 (48:44) Also God mentions the word day. (48:48) 365 days. (48:50) Which is solar. (48:52) Solar year. (48:53) Solar year is more constant. (48:56) The sun will rise. (48:58) Sunrise is what? (48:59) We look up the sunrise on August 25. (49:03) Sunrise is 25. (49:09) 554. (49:10) Not 555. (49:12) 554. (49:13) August 25, 100 years from now the sun will rise at 554 in Tucson, Arizona. (49:20) But the moon is kind of crazy. (49:23) It has a very accurate system also. (49:26) I mean we can give you the moon rise 100 years from now at exactly the moment. (49:31) But it has an irregular accurate system. (49:36) You can accept that. (49:37) So the 40 years are solar years. (49:41) Remember we had many signs about this age of 40 which was very difficult for many people to accept. (49:48) And thank God for Emily's vision where we had a very accurate, we knew it was the solar not the lunar year. (49:58) That was the biggest, one of the biggest signs that we had. (50:04) The next paragraph, God's messengers delivered God's good news to our new, of our new chance to redeem ourselves as well as warnings to every corner of the globe. (50:16) They were supported by formidable signs. (50:19) When Moses went to Pharaoh he was supported by such miracles as the turning of his staff into a serpent. (50:25) Jesus created live birds from clay by God's leave. (50:28) He healed the lepers and the blind by God's leave and revived the dead by God's leave. (50:33) The Prophet Muhammad, God's messenger who delivered this final testament, did not exhibit such miracles. (50:39) We learn from the Quran that the Quran itself suffices as a miracle supporting Muhammad's mission. (50:45) We have the verses here. (50:46) It was divine wisdom that separated the miracle of the Quran from Muhammad by 14 centuries. (50:52) Now that we understand the momentous dimensions of the Quran's mathematical miracle, appendix one, we realize that millions of people would have worshipped Muhammad as God incarnate if this miracle had also been revealed through him. (51:06) Next page. (51:08) With the advent of the computer age, 14 centuries after the revelation of the Quran, we discover that the Quran's mathematical code is indeed one of the greatest miracles, quote-unquote. (51:19) While the miracles given to the previous messengers were limited in time and place, the Quran's miracle is perpetual. (51:27) On Reed Street? (51:29) No, that's called perpetual savings. (51:32) Only a few people witnessed the miracles of Moses and Jesus, but the Quran's miracle can be witnessed by anyone at any time. (51:39) Furthermore, the Quran's miracle documents and proves all the previous miracles. (51:44) Now when we read in the miracle that Jesus revived the dead by God's leave, we know this is proven by physical evidence. (51:49) Those letters of that statement are mathematically composed beyond the human ability. (51:54) We know God is saying that, and this proves the miracles of Jesus and Moses. (51:58) All the other miracles. (52:00) Next paragraph. (52:01) To share this awesome miracle with the reader, the word God is printed throughout the English text in bold capital letters, and the number of occurrences is shown at the bottom of every page. (52:14) Thus, the total occurrence of this most important word is shown at the end of the Quran to be 2698. (52:20) This total is a multiple of 19. (52:22) The miracles come and denominate. (52:24) Furthermore, when we add the numbers assigned to the verses, wherever the word God occurs, the total comes to 118123, which is also a multiple of 19. (52:36) Which brings you back to the point that this book is being rewritten now. (52:40) Let us open it at random. (52:42) I'm going to open this at random here. (52:43) Come to page 401. (52:45) Let's look at page 401. (52:48) And we'll tell you something about the new translation from the Israeli copy now. (52:53) Page 401 at the bottom we see on the left side the number 6. (52:58) And you see in bold letters the word God and bold capital letters 6 times. (53:02) On the right side is the total after this page, 1891. (53:07) Now, in the new translation, we're going to write also the numbers of verses where the word God appears. (53:13) We're going to write the number 40, 41, 42, 44, and 45. (53:18) We're going to add them up and put them at the bottom of the page. (53:21) So every page will have the occurrence of the word God and also the total of the verses. (53:26) And this will add up to the end of the Quran. (53:27) It's going to be 118 123, which is also a multiple of 19. (53:31) Because this alone proves that this book is from God. (53:34) It's not a human being that wrote it or made it up. (53:38) Nobody is trying to fool us. (53:41) But even now, this word God by itself proves that it's God. (53:48) We happen to be a very, very lucky generation. (53:51) You know, I shudder to think that we were born 20 years before now. (53:56) We would have been swept in the cows. (53:58) We didn't know much. (54:03) The second paragraph, page XVI, the third paragraph, this simple physical fact is easily verifiable by the reader and shows the existence of a superhuman system within the Quran. (54:17) It was far beyond Muhammad the human or any collection of humans at the time of revelation of the Quran to keep track of the word God and the numbers of verses where it occurs. (54:29) Another quick illustration of the Quran's mathematical composition involves the word Quran. (54:34) We find that the Quran is mentioned 58 times in the Quran. (54:37) However, verse 10-15 refers to a Quran other than this and therefore cannot be counted. (54:42) Thus, this Quran is mentioned in the Quran 57 times, 19 times 3. (54:47) The surahs where the word Quran, in all its grammatical forms, is mentioned are 38, 19 times 2. (54:54) The sum of numbers assigned to the surahs and verses where the word Quran in all its grammatical forms occurs is 4408, 19 times 2. (55:05) These are just small examples of the mathematical composition of the Quran. (55:11) In addition to the Quran's profound mathematical composition, we find a large number of facts which were proven or theorized by modern science many centuries after their revelation in the Quran. (55:25) Here are a few examples of such advanced scientific information. (55:28) Number 1, the earth is egg-shaped. (55:30) We give the verses. (55:31) Number 2, the earth is not standing still. (55:35) It moves constantly. (55:37) Number 3, the sun is a source of light while the moon reflects it. (55:41) All these things were known centuries after the Quran was revealed. (55:44) Number 4, the proportion of oxygen diminishes as we climb towards the sky. (55:49) Number 5, the Big Bang theory is confirmed. (55:52) Number 6, the expansion of the universe theory. (55:54) These are astronomical theories and sciences. (56:00) Number 7, the universe started out as a gaseous mass. (56:04) Number 8, evolution is a fact within a given species. (56:08) Evolution is a divinely guided process. (56:10) We give the verses. (56:11) Number 9, the man's seminal fluid decides the baby's gender. (56:16) We knew this only recently. (56:19) Equally miraculous is the absence of any nonsense from the Quran. (56:23) This is particularly significant in view of the dominance of ignorance and superstitions at the time of revelation of the Quran. (56:30) For example, the most respected exegesis among the traditional Muslims is that of Ibn Kathir. (56:37) In this famous classic reference, we read that the earth was built on top of a giant whale upon which stands a bull with 40,000 horns carrying the earth. (56:47) And I give the reference in Ibn Kathir's interpretation of verse 68. (56:51) Actually, they have it here at the University of Arizona. (56:53) You can find that book there in the Oriental Studies Department. (56:59) In his interpretation of verse 50, verse 1, Ibn Kathir states that the earth is flat, surrounded by a mountain which carries the first sky. (57:10) Six more earths with six surrounding mountains surround the first earth and carry their respective skies. (57:17) As recently as 1975, my favorite guy, and in the same location, he was the first man to condemn me to death. (57:30) And I am thankful for that. (57:32) I would have been very disturbed if he agreed with me. (57:35) And in the same location where the Quran was revealed, only 14 centuries later, the president of the Islamic University of Medina, Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Baz, declared that the earth is flat and standing still. (57:49) Here's the insert from his book. (57:51) His book entitled, Evidence that the Earth is Standing Still, is replete with unbelievable nonsense. (57:58) Translation of his statement, if the earth is rotating as they claim, the countries, the mountains, the trees, the rivers, and the oceans will have no bottom and the people will witness the western countries move to the east, and the eastern countries move to the west, and the direction of prayer would have changed. (58:20) 1975, folks. (58:26) His titles are unbelievable. (58:30) One of his titles is president of the scientific research and some a very long title. (58:40) Since the Quran is God's final message to the world, 3340, it contaminates the previous scriptures, confirms them, and supersedes them. (58:51) Specific details of the law, the exact purpose of our lives, and the end of the world are all given in the Quran. (58:59) One of the most elusive objectives of every human being is happiness. (59:05) The Quran reveals the secrets of attaining perfect happiness in this life and forever. (59:10) We learn from the Quran that happiness is an exclusive quality of the soul. (59:15) Thus, a body that attains all the material successes it longs for, money, power, fame, good looks, carnal satisfaction, often belongs to an unhappy person. (59:25) Happiness depends totally on the degree of growth and development attained by the soul, the real person. (59:30) The Quran provides a detailed map towards perfect happiness for both body and soul, both in this world and in the eternal hereafter. (59:39) As expected from the Creator's final message, one of the prominent themes in the Quran is the call for unity among all believers, and the repeated prohibition of making any distinction among God's messengers. (59:52) If the object of worship is one and the same, there will be absolute unity among all believers. (59:57) It is the human factor that is devotion to such powerless humans as Jesus, Muhammad, and the saints that causes division, hatred, and bitter wars among the misguided believers. (1:00:09) A guided believer is devoted to God alone and rejoices in seeing any other believer who is devoted to God alone, regardless of the name such a believer calls his or her religion. (1:00:20) As detailed in Appendix 2, the publication of this book marks the advent of a new era, the era where God's messages, delivered by all his prophets, are consolidated into one. (1:00:32) God's one and only religion, submission, shall dominate all other religions. (1:00:40) Today's corrupted religions, including Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, will simply die out, and the true Islam, submission, will prevail. (1:00:49) This is not wishful thinking. (1:00:50) This is God's inviolable law, as decreed in 3.19, 41.53, and Surah 1.10. Surely those who are Jewish, the Christians, and the converts, anyone who believes in God, believes in the last day, and leads a righteous life, will receive the recompense from the Lord. (1:01:07) They have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve. (1:01:11) And this was completed on the 26th day of the ninth month of 1409, which is given in the Khutbah today. (1:01:17) You add these numbers, and you get 144419x76, or 19x19x4. (1:01:26) And I will stop here, so Linda can begin with Surah Al-Fatiha two weeks from now, inshallah. (1:01:32) If you have any questions, you can ask the introduction, and you can see it is very concentrated. (1:01:43) Alhamdulillah. (1:01:58) I'm going to read Al-Fatiha for all of us. (1:02:02) It's a Fatiha of thanks to God for guiding us. (1:02:07) And I'm going to keep this Fatiha all by itself. (1:02:09) There will be other Fatiha's we pray to God for other things. (1:02:13) But I want this one just a prayer of thanks to God for selecting us, as He says in Surah 22 verse 78, for guiding us. (1:02:23) And we pray that He keeps us on His path. (1:02:25) Al-Fatiha. (1:02:42) Al-Fatiha. (1:02:43) Do you remember the birthday? (1:02:47) The 25th? (1:02:49) It's not the 25th. (1:02:50) In period. (1:02:51) August 30th. Speaker 2 (1:02:58) In the name of God, most gracious, most merciful. (1:03:01) Praise be to God, Lord of the Universe, most gracious, most merciful. (1:03:05) Master of the Day of Judgment, Guide us in the right path. (1:03:12) The path of those whom you... (1:03:26) This verse, known as the Basmala, occupies a special position in the Quran. (1:03:31) It is the opening statement of every surah, except surah 9. (1:03:43) The Basmala consists of 19 words, occupying the Quran in multiple places. (1:04:05) Thus the reader is happy that this is not... (1:04:14) numerous mathematical phenomena are connected with this verse. (1:04:17) For example, surah 27 contains two Basmalas. (1:04:30) Thus the count of all Basmalas is restored to 114, 19 total. (1:04:51) Remarkably, it is also the number as detailed in a pendant swan.
