# Do You Know What You Want? Remembering God, Mathematical Blocks

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrQrpX8pjQc&t=1s>" %}

(0:02) Alhamdulillah wa ash'hadu an la ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharika lakum. (0:06) We praise God and we bear witness that there is no God except the one God. (0:13) Today is the first day of a new year, it is January 1st. (0:18) And I don't see a single person with a hangover in here. (0:26) The first day of a new year, 1988, is also the first day of the rest of your life. (0:36) And the Quran provides the ways and means of starting all over again, anytime you want to. (0:43) You can forget completely about the past and start as a totally new person, beginning a totally new life. (0:52) The concept of repentance. Repentance, returning to God. (0:58) Being unaware for a while, and now deciding to return and be with God. (1:04) I have put the theme of the new translation of the Quran on the wall here, for you. (1:11) And I am going to read it, because I wanted to share it with you. (1:16) Before I read it, I would like to say that finally, we have discovered the secret of happiness. (1:24) The most elusive of all human searches. (1:31) The secret of happiness is in this short theme here. (1:38) Happiness is a quality of the soul, the real person, not the body. (1:45) Therefore, a body that achieves all the material successes it longs for (1:52) money, fame, power, good looks, carnal satisfactions, often belongs to an unhappy person. (2:01) The real person's happiness depends totally on the degree of growth, development, (2:08) and fulfillment of the real person. (2:12) This book, the Quran, maps the road to perfect happiness for both body and soul, (2:19) both in this temporal world and in the eternal hereafter. (2:23) So this is the secret of happiness. (2:28) And you have seen the video that we made a couple of weeks ago, (2:33) and I mentioned Eddie Murphy in his interview with Barbara Walters, (2:38) and how he owns this big estate in New Jersey, where he has his family, his mother, (2:44) seeing him successful. (2:46) He has got the success, the fame, the movies, the TV, millions of dollars, (2:51) five cars, two Rolls Royces, a Porsche, a Mercedes, a Corvette, (2:58) yet he said that he was not happy. (3:02) So what does a human being want in this world? (3:06) Isn't this what everybody out there thinks they want? (3:11) The millions of dollars, the Rolls Royces, the Mercedes, the estates, the palaces, (3:17) and he is not happy. (3:19) So this proves, once again, this has been proven over and over, (3:25) that material success does not bring happiness. (3:28) If the soul is shrunk, and not fed, and not nourished, there is no happiness. (3:34) This is the secret of happiness. (3:37) Nobody can be happy unless the soul is nourished, develops, and grows. (3:45) Just try not to feed your body for one day, and see how miserable your body is. (3:52) Try for one day not to feed your body or give it water. (3:58) The soul is exactly like that, if the soul is not nourished. (4:02) But in our dimension here we do not feel the pain. (4:07) It is reflected in what Eddie Murphy told Barbara Walters, that he was not happy. (4:12) It is reflected in that. (4:14) This is the secret of happiness. (4:17) A few weeks ago they had the Barbara Hutton story on the TV, and many of you saw it. (4:24) Same thing, wealth, fame, anything she wanted. (4:29) Yet you saw her on the program trying to commit suicide. (4:32) This is a true story, how miserable she was. (4:35) The exact opposite of happiness. (4:37) So what does everybody out there want? (4:39) You want money, fame, good looks, success? (4:45) But then, if the soul is not nourished, there is no happiness. (4:51) The nourishment for the soul, God teaches us in the Quran, just like it is mentioned (4:57) in the theme here, that the Quran maps the road to perfect happiness. (5:02) And the minute you wake up, we will be learning here from the Quran, that when you wake up (5:07) in the morning, the first thing you say is Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim. (5:11) Right there, it is a good snack for the soul. (5:16) It is a bit of nourishment. (5:19) The minute you open your eyes in the morning, you say Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim, (5:22) la ilaha illallah. (5:24) There is no God except the one God. (5:31) The Quran teaches us specifically, when you admire anything that belongs to you, (5:36) you must say mashallah. (5:40) This is the Arabic, you can say it in English, this is what God gave me in English. (5:46) Say mashallah, you admire your car, your children, your spouse, your house, anything that belongs (5:53) to you. (5:54) And this invokes protection for your belongings, and it is nourishment for the soul. (5:59) Because the soul is a piece of God. (6:02) And when you say mashallah, your soul grows. (6:05) Another bit of nourishment. (6:09) You praise God, you say alhamdulillah, thank God, or praise God, when something good happens, (6:15) when you finish eating. (6:16) When you start your car you say Bismillah, and when you start eating you say Bismillah, (6:21) in the name of God. (6:24) And when you finish you say alhamdulillah, thank God, praise God. (6:32) When you see something wonderful, the sunrise or the sunset, or a flower, or a fruit, or (6:41) anything God created, or a cute cat, you say subhanallah, God be glorified. (6:52) Subhanallah, God be glorified. (6:55) Anytime you think of God, because your soul is a piece of God, your soul will be nourished. (7:01) Don't just eat the apple or the orange, think who made this? (7:07) Where did it come from? (7:08) Where did the apple come from? (7:09) The perfect flavour, the perfect sugar, the perfect texture, the crunchiness. (7:16) Who designed this? (7:18) Where did it come from? (7:19) It came from the air, by the way. (7:22) And the liquid from the soil, this is where the apple came from. (7:26) It starts as a little ovary, and then it grows. (7:32) The leaves of the tree collect carbon dioxide from the air, and link it together in chains. (7:38) The sugar is carbon, CCCCC, six carbons make one molecule of sugar. (7:47) So the leaves of the tree photosynthesis, you heard of photosynthesis, and the energy (7:51) from the sun, and the water from the soil, this is it, this makes the apple. (7:57) And all the other chemicals. (7:59) Don't just eat the apple to feed your body, eat the apple and feed your soul by saying (8:05) subhanallah, God be glorified. (8:10) Because the body you are going to throw away, the soul is you, and you are going to last forever. (8:27) The best nourishment of all is the contact prayer, making contact with God. (8:34) These are casual snacks, mashallah, alhamdulillah, inshallah. (8:38) You should never say I am going to do something the next hour, or two o'clock, or tomorrow, (8:43) or next month, or next week, without saying inshallah, God willing. (8:47) You are going to shock your American friends first, but then they will get used to it and (8:51) they will respect you later. (8:55) And you will nourish your soul as you remind them and remind yourself. (9:01) Say inshallah. (9:02) So these are the snacks for the soul. (9:08) And they may barely spare you misery, be it temporary or eternal, hell, it might. (9:19) But the best nourishment is the five daily contact prayers. (9:26) These are specifically prescribed by God at specific times, with specific utterances and (9:33) specific movements. (9:35) It is a numerical code, it is a combination that causes contact with God. (9:43) Then your soul really grows. (9:46) And like you heard on the tape the other day, the soul grows in leaps and bounds, which (9:52) makes nourishment a lot more crucial and thus a lot more important than your meals (9:58) for the body. (10:02) Because if you are going to give your body three meals today, how much will you grow (10:06) today? (10:08) The children probably grow at a higher rate. (10:11) But what is the maximum we grow? (10:12) One pound? (10:14) Hopefully not. (10:17) But the soul, if there is a weight for the soul, you may grow by ten tons. (10:25) The soul has a weight in the other dimension, not in this dimension. (10:32) In this dimension I think they determined the soul is one ounce. (10:36) They put a dying person on a scale, and they weighed him before he died and weighed him (10:41) after he died. (10:42) And the difference is one ounce. (10:45) This is scientific research, they wanted to catch the soul scientifically in the material (10:52) world. (10:54) But in the other dimension, wow, when they go to the other dimension they are going to (10:59) see the angels and the jinns and all the other creatures of the other dimension. (11:04) And one prayer very easily makes you grow by ten tons. (11:14) Ten tons. (11:14) Iman, how many tons do you carry in your 18 wheels? (11:19) 80 tons? (11:22) 80,000 pounds over 2,000 is 20 tons. (11:29) 80,000 pounds over 2,000 is 40 tons. (11:35) Yes, 40 tons, yes. (11:38) Okay, you can load Iman's truck with just one prayer. (11:42) I don't think we will forget this now. (11:47) So, this makes feeding, nourishing the soul all the more important. (11:58) In surah 22, or is it 21? (12:03) Let me make sure so I can go and refer to it. (12:09) 21. (12:10) It says that the reckoning is approaching while the people are totally unaware. (12:25) 21. (12:26) The reckoning for the people is fast approaching, while they are totally unaware, heedless. (12:33) Reckoning of what? (12:36) It is calculating how much you deposited in your account, how much growth you attained for yourself. (12:47) And you can't just wait and wait and wait, and then try to feed a shrunken soul. (12:53) There is such a time where it is impossible. (12:57) You have to do it every day, you have to do as much as you can. (13:00) This is what we are really here for. (13:05) The reckoning for the people is fast approaching, that day will come, sooner than you think. (13:13) Because life goes fast. (13:16) For the young people it seems so far away. (13:27) The reckoning for the people is fast approaching, while they are totally unaware, heedless. (13:33) Did you hear all the hullabaloo and the parties last night for the bodies that they threw away? (13:41) They did nothing for the soul. (13:45) If anything they did things against the soul, it went into the negative. (13:55) The health department was distributing condoms to the bars, so they give the drinks in condoms. (14:02) I mean what is this? (14:05) You can be sure most of it is not legitimate relationships. (14:14) When Satan had a heyday last night, and these are negative, the souls go into the negative. (14:25) Those are the news all day yesterday. (14:28) Don't forget, get your condoms. (14:36) Whenever a new reminder comes to them from the Lord, they listen to it thoughtlessly. (14:46) I mean you remind them that they are going to throw away their body, and their soul is going to remain forever. (14:54) And will be assigned a rank forever, on the day of eternity. (15:01) And they are thoughtless, they are so unaware. (15:08) Their hearts are distracted. (15:12) Satan succeeded in distracting them. (15:17) And the wicked confide to each other, is he not just a human being like you? (15:22) They will not take anything from you, any advice from you. (15:26) They hate advice, they hate the truth. (15:32) Would you accept magic while you see? (15:37) Their hearts are distracted. (15:39) And in the second khutbah, I think I discovered something I would like to share with you, (15:44) that will help us not to be distracted. (15:48) Suhoorullah. (16:10) Praise be to God, I bear witness that there is only one God. (16:16) He has no partners. (16:17) Peace. (16:26) We are a very, very lucky generation. (16:33) In surah 56 we are told that the lower heaven is going to be relatively crowded. (16:43) It is going to be full of all the children who died, all the people who died before the age of 40. (16:48) And the adults who did not nourish their souls enough. (16:54) It is going to be like the courts in the plane. (16:57) Be crowded. (16:59) First class heaven will not be crowded with big seats, comfortable. (17:06) They all go to the same destination. (17:09) But you remember going in the plane and these people sitting in first class looking at you like, (17:13) I am in first class. (17:15) I have a big seat. (17:17) And you go in there and you squeeze in this coach in the plane. (17:21) They make a seat that is just fairly fit enough. (17:26) Especially if you are a little bit heavy weight like myself. (17:29) You really squeeze in there. (17:32) So the coach is going to be very crowded. (17:35) The first class, God says in surah 56, that there will be multitudes of the early generations, (17:46) which ours is one of them, and few of the later generations. (17:53) God wills that this generation of ours witnesses a renewal of the message. (18:00) The Christians have gone astray, they have been worshipping Jesus. (18:04) The Muslims have gone totally astray, worshipping Muhammad and the saints. (18:09) And the people forgot about God. (18:11) And all of a sudden there comes into focus God alone message. (18:15) With this fantastic miracle that is coming to enhance that. (18:20) I am sure many many people thought of it, and I have met a few of them, (18:24) but they did not have the authorization or the power or this mathematical code in the Quran (18:31) that points at God alone. (18:33) 19 means God is one, God alone. (18:36) And this is our generation. (18:39) You can be sure that subsequent generations will be fewer of the people. (18:45) Here we are, we are pounding each other's head every day, let's worship God alone. (18:50) You are idol worshipping, I am idol worshipping. (18:53) We are reminding we are a lucky generation. (18:56) There will be multitudes of us, of our generation, inshallah. (19:01) In first class, in the high heaven. (19:04) Now the difference is much greater than first class and coach of the plane. (19:10) But then as the message, as they move further from our witnessing of the miracle, (19:16) we are witnessing the miracle before our eyes. (19:20) And as they move further, there will be less and less according to surah 56. (19:27) So we are a very lucky generation. (19:29) And this brings to us more privilege. (19:34) I will not call it responsibility, I will call it privilege. (19:37) To be much more careful to do our five daily prayers, to observe God, observe his laws, (19:44) make dhikr continuously. (19:46) This reminds me, if we get distracted, the new dhikr. (19:50) I was listening to the Quran the other day, and the reader in a beautiful voice was saying (19:57) the part of Quran where God says, do they think that I do not hear their secrets and their conspiracies? (20:07) Do they think that I do not hear their secrets and their conspiracies? (20:14) And when Moses and Aaron said, we are afraid Pharaoh may kill us, God said don't worry, (20:20) I will be with you, I hear and I see. (20:24) And this inspired me as I was going to sleep two nights ago, to say when God hears my secret (20:34) and my declarations, God knows my secrets. (20:37) And this evolved gradually until I said, God is here in this room. (20:41) God is here now, in this room, God sees me, hears me. (20:46) And this is what you have to visualize and materialize. (20:50) And it has a tremendous great effect, I am sure your soul will grow tremendously. (20:55) And if you have any devilish thoughts, they will go away. (21:01) You just visualize God with you, God is in this room, wherever you are. (21:06) God is here now, God is with me. (21:08) This is a new zikr. (21:11) God is teaching us, and it will help you a lot. (21:17) It helped me. (21:19) And this is what I am sharing with you now. (21:23) God is with me, God is in this room. (21:26) He is, as we talk now, God is in this room. (21:29) God is omnipresent, in every room, everywhere. (21:35) And personally with you, as well as that ant out there by the roses. (21:41) God is with that ant. (21:42) God controls everything that the ant is doing. (21:45) How much food it gets. (21:47) God is with me. (21:48) God is here. (21:50) He hears my secrets. (21:52) What I am thinking. (21:54) And this will help a lot. (22:02) The miracle, I will just give you a piece of news as to what I am doing, (22:10) since we are all in this together. (22:16) What I am doing now is, I am going to give the mathematical miracle of Quran (22:23) a lot of attention in the coming days and weeks, inshallah. (22:30) And what I am doing is, I am making a generic video tape on the miracle. (22:36) Generic means that it will just have the facts in the video, (22:42) and anybody can dub his or her own language on the tape. (22:47) So I am going to do the English and the Arabic. (22:51) We are going to have Muhtasem or Abdullah or both do the Turkish. (22:55) Gatot will do the Indonesian, Malaysian. (22:59) Francisco will do the Spanish. (23:02) We are going to pick up somebody to do the Urdu and so on. (23:05) Suzanne will do the Farsi and the French, because she is good in both. (23:09) So we are going to have it in English, Arabic, Urdu, Turkish, Indonesian, Malaysian, Farsi, French. (23:20) Eric is going to do it in Swedish. (23:23) Eric Thornwall. (23:25) So we will also have these flashcards, these are flashcards. (23:30) And I can have them by next week. (23:33) And they help a lot of people, especially that there must be like 75-80% of the people (23:40) who have a mathematical mental block. (23:44) What's 1 plus 1? (23:49) She doesn't know. (23:54) It's called a mathematical mental block. (23:58) A lot of people have them, they are geniuses. (24:01) But these flashcards... (24:12) I have to laugh a lot. (24:19) The flashcards... (24:20) That's amazing. (24:24) We are going to edit this out. (24:34) Sometimes you get intoxicated. (24:37) This is called God's intoxication. (24:40) The smallest thing, people who drank last night think they are intoxicated. (24:45) And at first the smallest thing makes them laugh. (24:49) Then they wake up in the morning with a huge hangover. (24:53) And sometimes God's people get like that. (24:55) The smallest thing makes them laugh out of control. (24:58) This is the title, it says Mathematical Miracle of Quran. (25:02) And this says, these are all physical facts. (25:09) And this is the last statement before the actual facts. (25:14) The Quran is mathematically encoded beyond the human intelligence. (25:17) This is Arabic and English by the way. (25:19) We are going to have a nice sized card for everybody. (25:22) Here is... (25:25) This is another statement, the last one, I promise. (25:28) It says the Quran's mathematical code is based on the number 19. (25:33) And here is fact number one. (25:35) You see how simple it is. (25:37) Fact number one. (25:39) Opening statement of the Quran, the Basmala, consists of 19 Arabic letters. (25:45) This is fact number one. (25:46) Fact number two. (25:47) The Quran consists of 114 suras, or 19 times 6. (25:54) Fact number three. (25:57) First revelation of the Quran was 19 words. (26:00) Fact number four. (26:02) First revelation, the 19 words are 76 letters, 19 times 4. (26:08) First revelation is 19 verses, and it goes on like that. (26:14) Last revelation was 19 words. (26:17) So they are all concentrated facts. (26:20) This is the quick summary. (26:22) And then what I will have after this will be the pictures from the blue book for example, (26:27) where it shows Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim broken down into letters, 19 letters. (26:31) And then Gatut will say to the Indonesians, these are the documentation of these facts. (26:37) This will take only like 5 minutes, all of them. (26:41) And then, so we will come to fact number one, the documentation for fact number one. (26:46) Gatut will say to the Indonesians, the Basmala consists of 19 letters as you see. (26:52) And anybody can say it in any language.
