New Messenger After 1400 Years, The Ego Test, Messengership Signs
(0:00) We praise God, and we bear witness that there is no God except the one God. (0:07) And we declare that all devotion and all worship is directed to God alone. (0:14) Surah 39, halalillahi d-din al-khafiz. Devotion and worship belong to God alone. (0:24) Some of you probably saw this bombshell, where there is an announcement (0:41) that I have been commissioned a messenger of God. (0:47) And this is probably the most difficult announcement that I have ever come up with. (0:57) But it's something that I have known since 1980. (1:01) And you can see that I was coward, I was afraid to come up with it. (1:12) I dreaded the time when I may have to announce it. (1:17) Because there is a general tendency to resent anybody saying... (1:25) I'm going to use a wrong statement now, but this is what resentment is for. (1:31) Generally, people resent somebody saying I'm better than you. (1:35) Or what appears to be saying, I am better than you. (1:41) And even the Quran condemns such a statement. (1:46) In surah 4, God says, not those who exalt themselves. (1:56) God is the one who exalts whomever he wills, without the least injustice. (2:02) The resentment in this case results from two things. (2:11) Ignorance, and idol worship. (2:15) Ignorance because the Quran teaches us that a messenger of God is not necessarily better (2:24) than anyone else in the congregation. (2:28) In surah 18, from verses 60 to verse 82, we see that God picked out one of the biggest (2:38) messengers, Moses. (2:40) One that God said, I made you for myself, I made you for me. (2:49) And in another place God said, I had you made before my eyes. (2:57) And we see in those verses that God sent Moses to one of our servants, whom we bestowed, (3:06) who gave mercy and knowledge. (3:08) And Moses proved to be a lousy student. (3:12) So this teaches us that a messenger of God is not necessarily better than anyone else (3:19) in the congregation. (3:21) I can think of quite a few of you whom I consider better than me. (3:31) I see people, when I was their age, I used to go to the same and ask for help. (3:39) I was an idol worshipper when I was that age. (3:42) Yet here they are, a lot younger, they have a 20 year head start compared to me, and so (3:50) this is the first thing, ignorance causes this resentment. (3:55) Idol worship, because the people idolized the messenger of God and they made him next (4:01) to God. (4:03) They made him a God besides God. (4:06) So when you mention the word messenger of God, they are awed. (4:11) But the truth is, a messenger of God is, the Quran repeats, a human being like you, or (4:18) in colloquial local terms, a flopster like the rest of us, whom we can kid around and (4:25) who can be silly. (4:30) What is more, the Quran teaches that a messenger of God, if a person is picked out as a messenger (4:36) of God, a commissioned messenger of God, there are kinds of messengers, does not even guarantee (4:43) heaven. (4:45) And we see this in surah 39 verse 65, where it says, it has been revealed to you and to (4:54) those before you, that if you ever fall in idolatry, all your work will be nullified (5:01) and you will be among the losers. (5:04) So a messenger of God does not even guarantee heaven. (5:09) And this is why we see in surah 21 verse 28, that the messengers are worried about their (5:15) own neck. (5:17) We are all familiar with these verses. (5:19) But the people who have either ignorance or idolatry in them, they resent an announcement (5:27) like this. (5:37) If a person is picked as a messenger of God, it is a difficult job, it is a very difficult (5:41) job. (5:44) There is no material getting out of it, I certainly will not allow a single penny to (5:49) enter my personal pocket, because of this or because of religious reasons. (5:56) I am not a professional religionist, and I will not allow a penny to enter my pocket (6:02) from religious activities. (6:05) Because then the motive changes. (6:07) And the Quran repeats, stay with those who do not ask you for wages. (6:18) The Quran says in surah 49, the criterion of who is better than whom, and it says in (6:25) Arabic, the best among you is the most righteous. (6:31) It didn't say the best among you is the messenger of God, or the richest, or the tallest, or (6:37) the most knowledgeable. (6:40) The best among you is the most righteous. (6:45) So all these things will teach us that the messenger of God is no big deal. (6:50) It is just a vehicle that God uses to communicate with us, a center of information. (7:02) And with it goes a difficult job, a very difficult job. (7:07) The abuse, the slandering, the threats. (7:17) And God says, I believe it is in surah 42, verse 51, God says that no human being can (7:30) communicate with God except through three ways. (7:34) Inspiration, or from behind a barrier, or through a messenger, through whom God spreads (7:42) certain information. (7:44) So people will know that this is reliable information, that this is from God. (7:49) We are people who follow the Quran, the whole Quran, and nothing but the Quran. (7:54) Therefore anybody, and this means anybody, who brings any information must conform to (8:00) the Quran, the whole Quran, nothing but the Quran. (8:03) And if anyone, and we underline anyone, comes up with any information that is not confirmed (8:10) by the Quran, we tell him, forget it, we don't accept it. (8:16) So the criterion is preaching, confirming existing scriptures of the Quran, and nothing else. (8:27) No innovations. (8:29) Now we come to the question, is it possible that we receive a messenger from God? (8:39) If you ask an average Muhammadan, they will tell you that Muhammad was the last messenger. (8:46) But they have no basis for saying this. (8:50) And the Quran gives us a precedent, since Joseph, the prophet Joseph, when he died, (8:58) the Quran teaches us that the people said, okay that was the last messenger, we will (9:01) never see another messenger after that. (9:03) So this is a human tendency. (9:05) And the Muhammadans claim that Muhammad was the last messenger, he is not. (9:11) In surah 33, verse 40, God says Muhammad was not the father of any of your men, he was (9:18) a messenger of God and the final prophet. (9:23) So here we see a distinction between prophet and messenger. (9:27) A prophet is one who delivers a scripture, like Jesus, Moses, Muhammad, they are prophets. (9:34) And we see this clearly in surah 3, verse 81, where God says that he made a covenant (9:40) with the prophets that he will give them the scripture and wisdom. (9:45) So here we have the definition of a prophet. (9:48) Then God made a covenant with us, with you and me, with every human being, he said then (9:54) when a messenger comes to you confirming existing scriptures, so there is the definition (10:01) of a messenger. (10:02) When a messenger comes to you confirming existing scriptures, you shall believe in him and (10:09) support him. (10:10) God said do you take, make a pledge with me. (10:15) And we all said yes we do, and God said you have thus borne witness and I bear witness (10:22) along with you. (10:26) Therefore it is possible that there will be messengers after Muhammad. (10:30) In surah 7, verse 35, it says, oh children of Adam, when messengers come to you, reciting (10:39) my revelations to you, those of you who believe are the successful ones. (10:47) This is surah 7, verse 35. (10:50) Obviously it is for people after the Quran. (10:53) As a matter of fact the verse begins by saying, oh children of Adam, so as long as there are (10:58) children of Adam on this earth, this verse is valid. (11:05) If messengers are coming after Muhammad, what do they look like? (11:08) What would a messenger look like after Muhammad? (11:13) Just think of any human being, what are his characteristics? (11:16) You think he would be walking on water, or walking in the air, or coming with three angels (11:20) on each side, or something? (11:22) He is just one of us, he is a human being. (11:28) Some people came, I want to answer the question why, why send a messenger? (11:37) Why does God send a messenger? (11:39) Why not just go in the same way that people have been going? (11:45) Reading the Quran, following the Quran. (11:50) Well one important element is the test, because of this covenant that we made with God. (11:57) What are we going to do if a messenger of God comes and says, worship God alone, and (12:04) forget about the human beings? (12:06) Muhammad, Jesus, Moses, or anybody. (12:10) You must devote yourself totally to God alone. (12:15) One who will preach the Quran, God's proven scriptures. (12:21) What are we going to do? (12:22) Are we going to scoff at him, are we going to help him, morally? (12:27) Are we going to rally around him? (12:30) What are we going to do? (12:31) A test. (12:33) Another test is the test of ego. (12:37) The Quran repeats, they said, oh he just wants to be better than we are, he wants to be a (12:41) leader. (12:43) And this is emphasized throughout the Quran. (12:49) I'm going to find some verses in here. (12:52) And there is, in surah 17, verse 94, it says what prevented many people from believing (13:00) was that they said, even God sent a human being to be a messenger. (13:08) And in surah 64, verses 5 and 6, I'm going to read them for you. (13:19) Did you not receive the news of those who disbelieved in the past? (13:25) They suffered the consequences of their decision, and deserved painful retribution. (13:30) Why? (13:31) This is because their messengers went to them with clear revelations, but they said, quote, (13:37) human beings to guide us? (13:41) Thus they disbelieved and turned away. (13:44) God does not need them. (13:47) So, it's a tremendous test to accept somebody who says he is a messenger of God. (13:58) There is an ego here, we are required to kill the ego. (14:01) And this applies to all of us. (14:04) One of the requirements in the Quran. (14:08) The egotistic person will resent anything like this, and will be deprived. (14:14) And God says in the Quran, I will divert from my revelations those who are arrogant. (14:24) I will send them away, God will actively send them away. (14:28) So this is something that we have to kill, the ego. (14:35) So many people came and said they were messengers of God, Baha'u'llah was one of them. (14:41) And Ulam Ahmed of Pakistan said he was a messenger of God. (14:46) And Joseph Smith, the Mormon leader, said he was a messenger of God. (14:52) But God made it mandatory that a messenger comes with proof, certain signs. (15:03) Moses brought all kinds of proofs, Salih brought proofs, Jesus came with signs, that he is (15:11) authorized and sent by God. (15:16) And on that difficult day, a few days ago, when... (15:22) I am going to give you all the details. (15:24) I am not going to be mysterious and say I was told this and that. (15:29) And leave it hanging. (15:31) I am going to give you, everything is going to be wide open in front of you, and I will (15:35) tell you exactly what happened, in time, if the time doesn't help us now. (15:40) But this reminds me of the fellow, you have heard this, I told some of you this before. (15:50) But this fellow was the most curious person in town. (15:54) And he would just ask questions, he would always ask questions. (15:59) And one time he was sitting in the bar, or the pub, or whatever the place is. (16:04) And there comes in this man with one leg, and he sits next to him. (16:09) And this very curious person, of course he is curious, you know, how did you lose your leg? (16:16) He wants to know. (16:18) And the man with one leg knows that he is the most curious person in town. (16:23) He just died to know, how did this fellow lose his leg? (16:28) So he told, the man with the one leg told him, the curious fellow, he told the curious fellow, (16:36) I will tell you on one condition. (16:39) And he said, anything, anything, just tell me, anything, just tell me what to do and (16:43) I will do it, just tell me anything. (16:45) He said, you ask only one question, and you don't ask any questions after that. (16:50) He said, ok, ok, I'll do it, just tell me, how did you lose your leg? (16:53) He said, it was bitten. (16:57) So I'm sure that curious guy died on the spot, because he couldn't ask any more questions. (17:02) So I'm not going to be mysterious with you, I'm going to tell you everything gradually. (17:08) But on that difficult day, when I realized that I must announce, I chickened out for (17:16) 80 years now, I needed some signs, and I was shown, I had some signs, but I was shown a (17:30) couple of additional signs on that day. (17:34) Now I will share with you some of the signs that will assure all of us. (17:43) Now the first sign, of course, is the mathematical miracle of the Quran, which is very simple. (17:49) And people should have seen it in the last 1400 years, literally thousands of scholars (17:56) looked at the Quran and counted all its words, its letters, its vowels, those signs, little (18:03) signs, they counted everything in the Quran. (18:05) But they never came up with the mathematical composition of the Quran. (18:11) bismillah 19 letters, the number of surahs 19 times 6, the first revelation 19 words, (18:16) the last revelation 19 words, all these are simple things that they should have discovered. (18:23) But God reserved this for a person called Rashad, as we see in the index of the Quran, (18:30) page 320, which was printed one year before I was born. (18:38) That index, it's a comprehensive index. (18:41) And on page 320 you will see that the root word Rashadah is mentioned 19 times. (18:48) And this is something that came to us from Turkey, I didn't discover it, it was discovered (18:52) and sent to us, as most of you know. (18:56) Now, the additional things, now I want to give you a piece of new information that shows (19:03) you the awesome miracle of the Quran that was reserved until this time. (19:12) The word God, Allah, in the Quran is mentioned 2698 times. (19:17) When you take every verse in the Quran where you see the word Allah, every verse from verse (19:23) 1 of surah 1, and you add the numbers of verses, the total is 118123. (19:35) These are the numbers of verses wherever you see the word God in here. (19:40) It's awesome. (19:42) Because not a single verse was transplanted from its place, not a single verse was changed. (19:50) And not a single word of Allah was dropped out or added in the Quran. (19:56) So this is an awesome miracle that was reserved for God knew in advance, who is going to be (20:07) fortunate enough or blessed with releasing this information. (20:13) Now, if you add all the verses in the surahs of the 19 Rashadah, and the last name also (20:22) is involved in it, it is very embarrassing to me, but I have to tell you this and share (20:26) it with you. (20:27) But Khalifa is mentioned in the Quran twice. (20:30) When you add all the surahs and verses, the total is 1369, which is 19 times 77. (20:41) You add all the surahs and verses where Rashadah and Khalifa are mentioned. (20:46) Well I was not content with that, I am greedy. (20:49) I wanted specific Rashad and Khalifa. (20:53) And sure enough, if you look up, Rashadah is mentioned twice. (20:57) Rashad, this is the way my name is written down. (21:00) It is mentioned in the Quran twice, in surah 40, verse 29 and verse 38. (21:07) The Khalifa are twice in the Quran, one of them is a bad one and the other is a good one. (21:13) The bad Khalifa is Satan, which is in surah 2. (21:16) And the human Khalifa, which is specifically mentioned in the Quran in reference to David, (21:23) the prophet, one of our favorite prophets, the Psalms. (21:29) And this Khalifa is mentioned in surah 38, verse 26. (21:34) So if you add the surahs and verses connected with Rashad and the human Khalifa, the total (21:42) is 171, 19 times 9. (21:45) So in other words, you look at every angle, and you can see that the signs are connected (21:51) with the mathematical code. (21:58) Now, I will explain to you in detail at another time when we have time, but this is the religion (22:05) of Ibrahim. (22:07) As we see in the last verse of surah 22, millat abikum Ibrahim, this is the religion of your (22:14) father Ibrahim, he is the one who named you Muslims before. (22:17) Muhammad brought the Quran, and yours truly was blessed with bringing the proof. (22:24) I was blessed with the proof of the Quran and the secrets of the Quran. (22:30) When you add Ibrahim, Muhammad, and Rashad, the geometrical values of the three names, (22:36) this is all detailed here. (22:38) The total is 855, which is 19 times 45. (22:42) And 45 happens to be my age in 1980, when I was told for the first time. (22:48) And again, I will accept, I promise you, I will explain to you how. (22:52) But 45 in 1980, which is also 1400, exactly 14 centuries after Muhammad, who was told (23:03) in the Quran that he will have seven pairs, 14 centuries, among other meanings of the (23:08) seven pairs. (23:10) So it is a very tight evidence, and it suits the age of computer age. (23:21) Now the secrets of the Quran, I mention this because it explains to you the revolutionary (23:30) ideas that I used to come up with once in a while. (23:33) Or the crazy ideas, if you want to call them that. (23:36) Like the end of the world. (23:38) It is very clear in the Quran, but it was not shown before, it is a secret in the Quran. (23:44) God knew when the end of the world will be, and he put it in his final message. (23:49) And we are the generation that was destined to know, to get this secret out of the Quran. (23:57) And like the idea that drove a lot of people crazy, that anybody who dies before the age (24:03) of 40 goes to heaven. (24:05) How can they go to heaven when they are 35 and they are awful bad? (24:08) Put them in hell! (24:10) We are mean, the human beings are mean. (24:13) There was so much opposition to that idea, it is not even funny. (24:17) And it is not coincidental that Latifa hands Carol, Carolyn, hands Otis a button, this (24:27) button here. (24:29) Today was it? (24:30) Did she give it to you today? (24:31) Yesterday? (24:31) Yesterday? (24:33) And he comes to me five minutes before the khutba to give me this button, which says (24:40) everything up to the age of 40 is just rehearsal. (24:45) Now, I thought she made the button, but she didn't. (24:50) When did you get it? (24:51) I don't know. (24:57) I was in the shop last year. (25:00) Oh, but you picked it up in the shop, you were shopping and you saw that. (25:03) Yeah, and I saw it and I just said, oh, I am talking about it. (25:06) So, it is not coincidental, you know, God spreads his information in many different ways. (25:13) Ways and means. (25:16) And other secrets of the Quran that we have been enjoying in the last ten years. (25:23) Oh, there is a cat, now this is new. (25:26) And I am going to tell you about it now, and you will have to do it, as of now, immediately. (25:31) The zakat, the zakat is being done wrong all over the Muslim world. (25:38) Now here is the true zakat from the Quran, in surah 6, verse 141. (25:51) Yes, it is 6, verse 141. (25:54) You remember, you are going to remember this verse, because it says when you harvest the (25:58) crop, give the zakat on the day of harvest. (26:01) You remember that? (26:03) On the day of harvest. (26:05) Okay, we are not farmers, we don't harvest wheat and barley, or anything. (26:10) But we harvest paychecks, every two weeks or so. (26:17) That's our harvest. (26:19) The day you receive your harvest, the day you receive your paycheck, you take out 2.5%, (26:26) and you give it to people that you know who are in need. (26:32) It makes so much sense, I mean, how come we didn't think of this, you know, all the time? (26:38) It makes so much sense, and it is from the Quran, and it will correct the method of zakat (26:45) that is dominant in the Muslim world. (26:48) Because the people that we know who need help, they need it now, they are hungry now, they (26:54) can't wait for a year, like they told us in the past. (27:00) You get $10, you take out 25 cents, 2.5%, is it 25 cents? (27:07) Yeah. (27:09) Now if it is impractical to give 25 cents to somebody you know, you can keep it and accumulate (27:15) it for a couple of weeks or a month, until it is a reasonable amount, then you give it. (27:19) That month, don't go beyond a month. (27:23) You give it to somebody you know personally, according to the system of the Quran, your (27:28) parents first, your relatives next, the orphans and the people who need it, in that order. (27:34) Any money, any net income that you get, you take 2.5%, because God says, chances are this (27:42) 2.5% that you have in your cheque are illegitimate, illicit, get rid of it. (27:49) It is called purifying your money. (27:52) You spend most of your time sleeping on the job or something, and yet you get the cheque, you know. (28:03) So God says this is the way you purify your income. (28:08) You take it out immediately. (28:11) Also, who is going to keep track of one year? (28:21) So God has His ways, this is one of the secrets of the Quran. (28:25) We are going to reap these benefits. (28:27) Among the secrets of the Quran that we have enjoyed in the last ten years are the correct (28:31) method of the salat prayer. (28:40) We are running out of time, so... (28:54) Alhamdulillah, wa ash-hadu an la ilaha illa Allah, wa ahdahu la sharika lah. (28:57) We devote our worship and our devotion to God alone, no human beings. (29:03) There is a surah in the Quran that says when God's victory comes, and support, and you (29:11) see the people entering God's religion, God's true religion, in throngs, in great numbers. (29:18) And this is what is happening now. (29:20) This surah is 19 words, it consists of 19 words, and the first verse is 19 letters. (29:26) This is our surah. (29:29) And so far this bombshell, the reaction has been positive. (29:34) People have been calling me from everywhere in the world saying, I'm calling to say I believe. (29:42) And when that difficult day came, and I was a coward, and I was saying this thing here (29:51) may cause my own children to disown me, they may say you're a crazy man, get out of here. (29:58) And as I will tell you in detail, I cried, I felt prostrate, I was fired. (30:03) I was fired. (30:05) And I cried, I felt prostrate, and I begged, and when in my heart it became solid and I (30:11) said I will do it at any cost, even if I lose my own children, my own friends, I will do it. (30:17) Then I was restored, as I will give the details I give you. (30:21) But the reason I'm mentioning this surah, the victory, is that I went... (30:32) I mean there is unanimous positive reaction to it, from everybody, people here who read it. (30:40) And I went, I was very careful talking to Beth, as we were at 3 o'clock in the morning, (30:47) and I told her, guess what Beth, I have to do this and this and this, and I was very (30:54) careful and diplomatic, and then she's casually drinking her tea, and she says, I knew that (30:59) all along Beth, I support her all the way.
