Messenger Audio 37.2 (28-Jan-1983)
Everyone is born with the fitra (innate disposition to monotheism, 7:172). Do not make distinctions between the prophets/messengers. Everyone has the fitra due to the event of 7:172, we saw God.
(0:00) They have to, and they will. (0:03) Belief in God will imply automatically that you will ask for forgiveness, that you repent, etc, etc. (0:13) It's a very important point that they make no distinction among the Prophets. (0:18) This is repeated in Quran, that they do not make distinctions among any Prophets. (0:22) This is why in this mosque you don't - you say la ilaha illallah, because if you say Muhammad Rasulallah, you will make a distinction. (0:31) But we know Muhammad is Rasulallah, we believe that Muhammad is Rasulallah, but we also believe that Noah is Rasulallah, Salih is Rasulallah, and Moses is Rasulallah. (0:41) And we don't want to make any of them stand out. (0:44) We don't want to make any distinctions. (0:48) I made an analogy to someone the other day about radio. (0:54) Well, you heard this message on a certain brand of radio, Sony, and you heard this message on a Yesu, and you heard this message on a... (1:05) So, I mean, you know, what are you going to do, get all involved with the radio, the name of the radio, or are you going to listen to what the radio is saying? (1:14) I could mention some other names, but, you know, Ken was, you know, he could say, oh, it's only the Sony, or it's only the, you know, the leaders that count, (1:23) and just ignoring what comes out from the, you know. (1:29) It's like, it's like receiving a message, it's like receiving something on the radio. (1:34) I think there's a very direct analogy, if you understood the process of revelation. (1:40) It's like there's an intermediary, you know, you might say it is the angel, and you can set up a very detailed analogy between the two. (1:49) That's a very good point. (1:51) It seems that people are more concerned with the brands of radio than the message. (1:55) I remember I was talking in Los Angeles mosque one time, and I mentioned la ilaha ill Allah and this fellow almost had a death wish to pass out, (2:06) saying Muhammad Rasulullah, you must say Muhammad Rasulullah. (2:30) Muhammad Muhammad Rasulullah. (2:45) Yes. (2:48) You're describing, for example, Ibrahim, Prophet Ibrahim. (2:53) He was in an idol-worshipping community, he did not go to school, but he made it, because we are all born with a message. (3:07) If you look up in the Quran, Surah 7, verse 143. (3:17) No, I think it's 173. (3:27) 172. (3:28) Yeah, 172. (3:35) Want to read it Mushira? its 116. (3:43) Just 172. (3:45) Okay. Recall that your Lord gathered all the decedents of Adam .. 7:172 (4:12) So, all those people you described who are in an isolated jungle or whatever, they already bore witness that God is the Lord. (4:20) And it doesn't matter who teaches them what. (4:22) They have the knowledge inside them, instinctively. (4:26) There is no excuse. (4:38) It doesn't matter who teaches what. (4:44) The only reason people went there and taught them Christianity and they accepted it is because they deserve that. (4:50) This is what they actually believe. (4:54) And if there are individuals in that community who believe in God alone, they will actually make it through Christianity. (5:01) They will reject the assumption of Jesus being God or the Trinity, and they will believe in God alone. (5:09) Abraham is a very good example of that. (5:15) Okay, we're going to close, and then we'll pray Isha, and drink our tea, and go home, and Inshallah come here for a great steak dinner for our souls at 6 o'clock in the morning. (5:27) Fatiha. (5:29) Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem .... (5:52) Isha, your city is city to the max. (5:56) Thank you.
