Study From Behrouz 1222, Sura 39:11 By Rashad, Admission Test, I Don't Compromise With A Little ins....

(0:03) Audhu Billahi min al-shaytan al-rajim, Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim. (0:06) God the Lord. (0:08) Verse 11 says, Say, I have been commanded to worship God devotedly, the religion absolutely to Him alone. (0:18) And I was commanded to be the utmost submitter. (0:22) Say, I fear, if I disobeyed my Lord, the retribution of a great day. (0:31) Say, God is the only one I worship, devoting my religion absolutely to Him alone. (0:38) These are all commandments from God to you. (0:46) I'm going to read them again, starting at 11. (0:49) God is telling you to say, I have been commanded to worship God, devoting the religion absolutely to Him alone. (0:56) So there is no room for Jesus or Moses or Muhammad or the saints. (1:06) And I was commanded to be the utmost submitter. (1:11) The utmost submitter never complains. (1:15) It's a sign of submitter or not. (1:18) The utmost submitter is content with whatever God gives him and understands. (1:26) 13, Say, I fear, if I disobeyed my Lord, the retribution of a great day. (1:33) Submitters also realize that everything has a price. (1:39) And this is now after passing all the tests. (1:43) You've passed your final test, you're in good shape, and you cannot deviate outside the path of God's truth for you. (1:52) Because if you deviate, it's very expensive. (1:56) It seems out of proportion, but really it is not. Speaker 3 (2:02) When I got finished in the first day, wow, this is too much! (2:06) I didn't do that bad! (2:07) And the answer was, yes, this is it. (2:11) He didn't do too bad, but this is the price for it. Speaker 1 (2:15) The pinch is always way out of proportion, it seems. (2:22) I guess because somehow we grew up with the notion that God is forgiving, merciful, which is true, but we tend to abuse this. (2:37) God wants to make you perfect. (2:41) And the system that I have noticed personally, and maybe you too, is that God will take one of your defects at a time. (2:52) And He will keep after you until you get rid of that defect. (2:56) Then He will start another one, until you cleanse out of that one. (3:02) The end result is a perfect human being, it is such a thing. (3:07) You'll be following God's commandments perfectly. (3:09) And you'll be a perfect human being. (3:17) So the utmost submitter understands all these things. (3:25) Remember that the utmost submitter has a perfect life. (3:30) The only reason you have a headache is because of something you have done. (3:36) And don't think there are any exceptions to that, there are no exceptions. (3:41) You don't get a scratch or a headache without something you have done. (3:45) So it behooves you to find out what it is that you have done. (3:50) Don't defend yourself either. Speaker 3 (3:54) I used to laugh when I tell some people, what did you do wrong? (3:56) I didn't do anything wrong, you know, you become on the defensive. Speaker 1 (4:00) I say, hey, wait a minute, you're supposed to join me in attacking your self and find out what you did wrong. (4:08) You become very defensive. (4:12) But we're supposed to do this ourselves, we have to find out what did I do wrong. (4:17) But if I'm too egotistic to pinpoint what I did wrong, then I just go on. (4:23) Because the punishment will continue until you know what it is. (4:27) When you know what it is and you repent, it never happens again. (4:31) The problem is solved. (4:35) So an utmost submitter means no problems. (4:39) Of any kind. (4:47) It's almost unbelievable. (4:50) But you see, God taught us repeatedly, God used me as a happy guinea pig. (5:01) I mean, I put myself in situations where a problem should have happened. (5:06) But it wasn't the cause of God, so a problem didn't happen. (5:10) And the reason I'm saying this is because Ehsan is sitting here and she expected a big problem. (5:17) Thank you. (5:19) I was busy with this translation and I slept here three nights. (5:24) I didn't go home for three days. (5:28) And then the answering machine, the telephone rang, the answering machine came on, my wife was on the phone. Speaker 3 (5:33) This is Stephanie, so Ehsan started to run away. (5:36) She said, this is it, she's going to divorce you, you're finished. (5:40) This is it, a big fight. Speaker 1 (5:43) So as she was approaching this door here to run away, she heard her say, I made a batch of Italian cookies, they were so delicious, I'm sorry we finished all of them, so I'm going to make you another batch. (5:55) She couldn't believe it, until now she can't believe it. (6:01) But this is, God manipulates the mind and the heart of the people. (6:06) In fact this happened again when, three or four weeks ago? (6:10) A few days ago, when this visited. (6:13) I slept here two nights in a row. (6:18) And she called, what did she say this time? Speaker 2 (6:23) What did she want? Speaker 3 (6:27) No, say it again, what did she want? (6:29) I want to chat. (6:31) I forget what she wanted, but it was peaceful. Speaker 9 (6:33) She was also running away. (6:34) You were talking about the Trump, Trump, Trump. Speaker 3 (6:36) Oh yes, yes, yes. (6:38) She said, I'm the happiest person in the world. (6:39) I said, what? (6:42) I was insulted. Speaker 8 (6:46) Say, wait a minute. Speaker 3 (6:48) Honest, this is what she said, yes, I remember now. (6:51) She said, I'm the happiest person in the world. (6:52) I said, what happened? (6:53) She said, I found the car I've been looking for, for a long time. (6:57) I'm like a baby, I'm like a child who found a toy. (7:00) This is exactly what she said. (7:02) She's been looking for a car. Speaker 2 (7:04) And it's been out there. Speaker 3 (7:10) I mean, this is a situation that warrants a problem, right? (7:13) With most people. (7:15) Where have you been? (7:18) You're a half hour late. (7:22) If you left your office at 2.30, you should have been here at 3 o'clock. (7:26) It's 4 o'clock now. Speaker 1 (7:30) So, what I'm saying is that God's mercy and grace allowed us to learn from experience. (7:37) We really have a track record. (7:41) And it is a deep state of not comfort with my statements. (7:45) Because you have to go through what I went through. (7:48) When I make a blanket statement, a believer has a perfect life. (7:52) No problems, no headaches, no traffic tickets. Speaker 3 (7:56) What if we grow and we have a lot of people and problems happen? (8:00) They don't happen, God can handle them. (8:05) God's law is absolute. (8:09) Let me just read it with you again. (8:11) Because I wanted to pass this on to the people. Speaker 1 (8:14) Let's look at 1062 or 1162, what is it? (8:24) Page 216. (8:29) I think Adib will appreciate that because the Arabic is so powerful and he knows it. (8:33) He knows the Arabic. (8:35) The top of 2 page 216 says, Absolutely, God's allies have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve. (8:45) In Arabic, Very strong Arabic. (8:50) Says, Absolutely. (8:51) I tried to bring it to the English as close as possible. (8:54) God's allies have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve. (8:57) The next verse identifies who are they. (9:00) They are those who believe and lead a righteous life. (9:03) That's it. (9:05) If you believe and lead a righteous life, you have nothing to fear, nor will you grieve. Speaker 3 (9:16) Why are you peeking through the crack? (9:21) Come on in. (9:23) Okay or what? (9:27) Sure. (9:32) That's fantastic. Speaker 1 (9:38) Number 64 says, For them, joy in this world. (9:43) We don't have to die first before we enjoy heaven. (9:46) It happens here. (9:48) For them, joy in this world and the hereafter. (9:51) This is God's unchangeable decree. (9:54) Such is the greatest triumph. (10:00) So this is it. (10:03) God's law. (10:05) You have to realize that there is an admission test. (10:11) And the admission test is very exacting. (10:15) Very exacting. (10:18) It's usually in the first five years after you claim that you've come to worship God the Lord. (10:25) Doesn't mean it will last five years. (10:26) Don't be scared. (10:28) It comes within. (10:30) If you're proven to be a total submissive completely, in the first month, then it is over. (10:37) But you must realize it happens and all the while you're in God's hands. (10:42) The test is very tough. (10:44) Where is Mahmood? (10:49) Did he leave? (10:51) Yes. (10:51) He's gone to check his carburetor. (10:53) Mahmood is undergoing a test like this. (10:56) He temporarily lost his wife, his kids, his cars, his computers. (11:00) And he's very tearful as you see. (11:02) It's all temporary. (11:05) Like this. (11:06) Every single day restored and twice as much. (11:10) He knows that. (11:12) He's a good believer. (11:15) When we know that. (11:17) But what I want to say is that when you have a problem, you understand. (11:20) You must understand the root of the problem. (11:21) What is it? (11:22) Why am I having this problem? (11:23) So, if you're not in the admission test, then you did something wrong. (11:30) Admission test, simply, you say that you're going to worship God alone, and Satan says otherwise. (11:37) No, Behrouz doesn't mean it. (11:38) He's just saying that. (11:40) And God tells him, OK, you can go and beat him up, but within the limit. Speaker 3 (11:45) You cannot do this and this to him. (11:47) So, Satan starts on Behrouz, beats him up, gives him back a few other problems. (11:54) But it doesn't faze Behrouz. Speaker 1 (11:56) He continues to worship God alone. (11:58) Then he's proven to be worshiping God alone. (12:01) Then all the blessings open up. (12:04) Just watch. (12:08) Pardon? Speaker 4 (12:09) You have cold and fever now? Speaker 1 (12:14) Oh, well, this is part of the fun of traveling. (12:30) The only thing wrong that I can think of that you did, maybe feeling sympathy for the people who, out of ignorance, were idolizing Muhammad and Ibrahim and so on. Speaker 4 (12:41) I didn't feel that they were idolizing. (12:43) Maybe they kind of understood that. (12:45) Yes. (12:46) That they worship God. (12:48) Yes. Speaker 1 (12:52) Well, the judgment is in God's hand. (12:56) But I don't think... (12:59) I think your cold and fever will go away as soon as you're convinced that that was wrong, to do that. (13:12) Just a little principle, a reminder from God to us to make everything right. (13:18) But this is a common thing that I went through and everybody goes through, that we feel for our grandparents and so on. (13:26) They were all nice people. (13:28) We loved them very much. (13:29) And our wishful thinking tells us maybe they didn't know or their intention was good. Speaker 4 (13:35) Like we have come to know because you have come in our time. (13:39) If we didn't have you in their time, perhaps they would have believed. Speaker 1 (13:42) No, but see, they have the Quran. (13:43) They have the message there. Speaker 4 (13:45) Okay, Lisa, you better get going. (13:46) After you explain to them, we don't believe from the Quran. Speaker 8 (13:50) We don't believe in one God. Speaker 1 (13:53) Yeah, but you see, if they deserved better, God would have seen to it that they received the correction. Speaker 4 (14:01) Because exactly this line my father would say, like, if you're a true believer, nothing can harm him, and God will give him heaven in this world, and he could enjoy his life, and he could... (14:10) Yes. (14:12) And he was one in such that, you know, he talks, or when he finds something, he will say, very, very good. Speaker 1 (14:20) Yeah, but this is fine, but you cannot generalize it to the population. (14:25) If you know a person personally and you see very well that he is worthy of heaven, he probably did go to heaven. (14:31) Probably God understood his situation. (14:34) I'm sure, not probably, I'm sure God understood his situation. (14:36) But we cannot generalize this, and we cannot sympathize with that. (14:41) For our own good. (14:42) Because if I say, maybe these people have good intentions, and we defend them, Satan will capitalize on that. (14:50) Say, see, he or she is defending the idol worshippers. Speaker 2 (15:01) Yes, the case of first cousin. Speaker 1 (15:04) I'm glad you knew that. (15:07) This is a good example, actually. (15:12) 99.9%, this is exactly the connection. Speaker 3 (15:19) And it's wonderful to know that, because you probably never again question the wisdom of the Prophet. Speaker 4 (15:25) I didn't mean to, but the way I sounded, I probably... Speaker 3 (15:27) Yes, exactly. (15:29) It is the way it sounds. (15:31) See, Mrs. Amirali was perfectly innocent when she was talking about those past generations, but Satan will take that innocent statement and will make a big mountain out of it. Speaker 1 (15:40) He will actually say, she is defending the idol worshippers. Speaker 3 (15:45) And there is a law in the Quran that you do not defend idol worshippers, even if they were your parents, and so on. Speaker 1 (15:53) Remember, he is a liar. (15:55) Satan is a liar. (15:57) And if we don't word our statements carefully, especially when we are touching on the issue of idol worship, he will take that and will capitalize. (16:05) If I say the slightest thing in defense, away from God, this is why I don't compromise. (16:10) When they ask me about white lies and little insurance and things, I don't compromise, because if I say anything that is a little, just slightly away from God's law, Satan will capitalize on it. (16:24) And say, see, he doesn't follow your law. (16:26) Then I'll get smashed on the head. (16:30) Because God invariably calls Satan's excuses. (16:36) And he says, okay, go test him. (16:40) Because God puts limits on him. (16:42) When he sends him to test you, he puts limits on you. Speaker 3 (16:44) You see, you can give her a cold and fever, but that's about it. (16:47) You cannot give her a headache, for example. (16:56) We need to understand this mechanism. (17:00) We believe in God. (17:01) God told us there is Satan. (17:02) And we need to understand what does Satan do. Speaker 1 (17:05) We read the other day, some of you were here, some were not, that Satan will come from your right, your left, from your right, left, front, and back. (17:14) He will come to you from every direction. Speaker 3 (17:16) And he will exactly catch those sentences that may be misunderstood to mean that you're defending idol worshipers or deviating from God's law. Speaker 1 (17:28) And he'll say, this person, he will lie. Speaker 3 (17:34) But he will use your words. (17:37) So we don't want to give him a chance to do that. (17:39) Like Roxanna said, she didn't mean to question God's wisdom, she was just discussing the thing intellectually. Speaker 1 (17:45) But it sounded like, if I didn't know her, I would think she was questioning God's wisdom. (17:49) Why didn't God prohibit first cousins? (17:52) Why are the Christians wiser than God, for example, in prohibiting first cousin marriages? Speaker 3 (17:58) Satan will do that. (17:59) Satan will say, Roxanna means that you're not as wise as the Christians. Speaker 7 (18:07) I think it takes a while before you realize that every letter of the Quran has to be followed, otherwise you make mistakes. Speaker 3 (18:15) Yes, exactly. (18:16) It takes a while. Speaker 1 (18:20) Where is Martha? (18:24) Martha? (18:26) No jumping, honey. (18:27) Sit down. (18:29) Don't jump. Speaker 3 (18:32) Shut the door. (18:36) Oh, are you there? (18:38) Are you okay? (18:39) Okay. Speaker 1 (18:40) I just want to keep the kids under control, because they're jumping now. Speaker 3 (19:00) Mrs. Amira Ali is not supposed to have a headache, or cold, or flu, or anything like that. Speaker 1 (19:16) I think also we have to realize the limitations of our bodies, I guess. (19:21) No, I don't want to compromise with that. Speaker 2 (19:25) Well, my problem is... Speaker 1 (19:26) I just remembered... Speaker 2 (19:29) My back problem is urgent. (19:31) I knew that I'm not supposed to take up meditation. (19:35) But surprisingly, in four days, I didn't have any pain. Speaker 1 (19:41) This is part of the test. (19:42) You took mehdis. Speaker 2 (19:44) Yes. Speaker 1 (19:45) You love him so much that you said, I'm going to take you back. Speaker 2 (19:49) I don't know if he's going to allow me this time. Speaker 3 (19:51) It's his anniversary. Speaker 2 (19:54) God will love you and will remove. Speaker 1 (19:57) God loves you and will remove it, inshallah. (20:03) The reason I said I stopped in the middle of the sentence, we have to realize the limitations of our bodies. Speaker 3 (20:08) I'm going to say alhamdulillah, mashallah, subhanallah, and all these, because you can brag when you say that. Speaker 1 (20:13) You give God the credit, you can brag about it. (20:16) Brother Abdul Hayy was here, and he came and looked at my computer, my chair. (20:22) And he said, you're supposed to have a terrible backache. (20:24) Because I'm sitting at the computer, on average, ten hours a day. (20:29) He said, this computer is too high or too low, the chairs, this and that. (20:32) He said, do you have back problems? (20:33) I said, no. (20:35) He said, you're supposed to. (20:37) So this is what I mean by even the body limitations, God will heal you somehow. (20:46) You're in your admission test, so don't complain. (20:50) You're not complaining, alhamdulillah. Speaker 7 (20:54) Okay, sorry. (20:58) He paid the sentences that you say, and he turned his head and eyes, and told us to get admitted. (21:05) Does he use the sentences that you say in your mind? (21:09) Like sometimes he sings? Speaker 1 (21:11) No, he doesn't know what's in your mind. Speaker 7 (21:13) Does he only say what you say orally? Speaker 1 (21:15) Right. (21:17) Satan and even the angels do not know what's in your mind. (21:22) But, there's a big but. (21:24) God knows what's in your mind. (21:26) You see, this is at the end of surah 2. (21:28) God is the only one who knows what's in your innermost thoughts. Speaker 3 (21:33) Not only he knows what's in your mind, he knows what's in your mind ten years from now. (21:37) That's in surah 20. (21:39) God knows, he knows what is more secret than the secret. (21:43) So what's more secret than the secret? (21:45) The future secret. Speaker 1 (21:46) So, Satan doesn't know what's in your mind, but God does. (21:54) And God says, do not have anything wrong inside your mind. (22:00) Go ahead. Speaker 4 (22:04) Even thoughts that come into your mind, Satan doesn't put them there. Speaker 1 (22:09) Your companion does. (22:12) Your companion is in there. (22:13) And your companion will put those thoughts, and it is your job to sift through them. (22:19) In fact, remember the verse that says, The believers, when a whisper from the devil comes to them, they sift with using God. (22:29) Your companion is your devil. (22:34) And it's your job to counter those bad thoughts. (22:39) He will ask you to do all kinds of bad things. (22:42) To lie, cheat, lose your temper. Speaker 3 (22:49) Does this mean that Batool loses her temper? (22:50) No. (22:51) No way. (22:53) Don't look at her like that. (23:01) Are you telling me that Princess Batool loses her temper? (23:05) No. (23:06) With two kids like that? Speaker 2 (23:14) No. Speaker 1 (23:17) He is Satan. (23:18) He represents Satan. (23:20) He already has his built-in natural instinct to tell you not to pray, not to worship God alone, not to be honest, etc., etc. (23:28) Already, that's his nature. (23:36) That's his seed. (23:38) That's his seed. (23:39) And it's inside your brain. (23:41) So this is the only access he has to your brain. (23:46) But it's your job and my job to convert this seed of Satan into a God-worshipping jinn. Speaker 3 (23:58) See, he is reading the Quran now, as you are reading. (24:00) She is reading the Quran now, excuse me. (24:03) As you read the Quran, she too is reading the Quran. Speaker 10 (24:06) And she is thinking about it. (24:07) You convinced her and him. Speaker 3 (24:10) Yes. Speaker 1 (24:10) Now you are against her. (24:13) She tried her best to keep you from doing this. (24:16) But you won and you brought her. (24:22) In surah 72, verse 6, that human beings sometimes use the jinns and they end up in trouble. (24:30) And I know some people who use the jinns and the jinns became their God. (24:39) And on the Day of Judgment, God will ask some of those jinns about that and they will disown each other. (24:51) I know one person who calls the jinns in and the jinns say, I am Ali ibn Abi Talib. (24:58) And they will ask about these things, you know. (25:02) And the jinn will play around with them, will give them information that they actually believe. (25:09) And that causes their destruction. (25:16) What is wrong? (25:24) Probably not the jinn of Ali, not the companion of Ali. (25:27) Because Ali is too long ago. (25:30) I haven't heard of a jinn that is 1400 years old. (25:36) If the jinns want to play around, they can say anything they want. (25:39) If the person is crazy about Elvis Presley, they will come and say, I am Elvis. (25:45) They will even sing. (25:50) Just to fool the humans. (25:54) Ali, what can keep the kids quiet? (25:55) What can you do to keep them quiet? (26:06) I have a better idea of separating them. (26:10) Everybody call your kids next to you. (26:14) Let them sit next to you. Speaker 2 (26:15) There you go. Speaker 1 (26:21) They can hear something useful sometimes. Speaker 8 (26:25) Oh yeah. (26:27) I've got my kid here. Speaker 1 (26:47) Okay. (26:48) MashaAllah, it's nice and quiet this way. (26:56) 159 says, God be glorified far above their claim. (27:01) Only God's servants who are devoted to Him alone will be saved. (27:05) Indeed, you and what you worship cannot impose anything on Him. (27:11) Every one of you will burn in Hell. (27:13) All those people who blaspheme against God, who are misled by the jinns, etc. (27:22) Those who are not devoted to God alone have chosen, insisted on going to Hell. (27:29) The angels, each one of us has a specific job. (27:37) So when you look at your kid and you say, MashaAllah, there is an angel specializing in protecting that kid. (27:43) When MashaAllah invokes that protection. (27:49) There is a mechanism for everything. (27:55) When you get up in the morning and you say, Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, La ilaha illallah. (28:00) This invokes an angel to say, meet with you all day and see to it that you have a nice day. (28:10) 165, the angels say, we are the arrangers, organizers. (28:15) We have duly glorified our Lord. (28:19) They used to say, had we received the correct instructions from our parents, we would have been worshipers devoted to God alone. (28:29) But they disbelieved, they will find out. (28:34) Victory for the messengers guaranteed. (28:36) Our decision is already decreed for our servants, the messengers. (28:40) They are surely the victors. (28:43) Our soldiers are the winners. (28:50) So disregard them for a while. (28:52) Watch them, they too will watch. (28:55) Do they challenge our retribution? (28:57) When it hits, they will be sorry. (29:00) They have been warned. (29:02) Disregard them for a while. (29:04) Watch them, they too will watch. (29:06) Glory be to your Lord. (29:08) The grace falls far above their claims. (29:11) Peace be upon the messengers. (29:14) Praise be to God, Lord of the Universe. (29:18) You notice the Qur'an is teaching us to make no distinction among the messengers. (29:23) So God says, peace be upon the messengers. (29:28) The next surah in the name of God, most gracious, most merciful, Saad and the Qur'an that contains the mathematical code. (29:38) The message. (29:39) Or the miracle. (29:45) Strange, but we went through this today. (29:46) We looked at the references of who this word is used, victor. (29:53) And it seems to point, among other things, to the mathematical code of the Qur'an. (29:58) Those who disbelieve have plunged into arrogance and defiance. (30:04) Many a generation before them were annihilated. (30:07) They called for help, but to no avail. (30:10) They wondered that a warner should come to them from among them. (30:13) A disbeliever said he is a magician, a liar. (30:18) Did he make the gods into one God? (30:20) Oh no. (30:23) How strange. (30:24) This is really strange. (30:27) Because every messenger came with a message. (30:29) There is no God except the one God. (30:30) You must forget about the saints, the prophets, the messengers, as idols. (30:40) Did he make the gods into one God? (30:42) This is really strange. (30:43) The leaders announced, go and steadfastly persevere in worshipping your gods. (30:48) This is all you need. (30:52) We never heard of this from the religion of our fathers. (30:55) This is a lie. (30:56) These are the things that we hear, exactly. (31:01) We never heard of this from the religion of our fathers. (31:07) This is their problem. (31:08) And repeatedly the Qur'an says, follow God's revelation. (31:11) Say no, we follow what our parents taught us. (31:16) So one needs to have an open mind and a free freedom. (31:22) You can't follow the parents blindly. (31:26) There is too much at stake. (31:29) And this means perfect happiness here in this world. (31:33) But terrible misery here in this world. (31:34) Heaven and hell begin right here. (31:37) And all we need to do is step into God's kingdom. (31:39) Then you are guaranteed perfect happiness. (31:43) You step into a certain kingdom and you are guaranteed perfect misery. (31:47) Even if you make millions and live in mansions. (31:54) What did Christina Onassis do? (31:56) Her role had billions. (31:59) She tried to commit suicide six times. (32:02) Finally she succeeded and went to heaven because she was really in a circumstance. (32:10) She was also abused, oppressed, misguided, mistreated, etc. (32:18) God knows her circumstances. (32:20) She died at the age of 38. (32:23) But she was a very unhappy person. (32:31) How about her father? (32:32) He was one of the richest men in the world. (32:35) And all God did was nullify the muscles in his eyelids. (32:40) I mean, these are the weakest muscles in our body. (32:43) He couldn't open his eyes. (32:47) He was willing to pay a hundred million dollars to fix them. (32:51) He couldn't. (32:53) He had the scotch tape. (32:55) He had to keep it completely open all the time. (32:58) And this is suffering because it burns. (33:01) Imagine keeping your eyes open all the time. (33:03) Just try it for two minutes. (33:04) You cannot do it. (33:08) It's a simple design that we take for granted. (33:11) But God designed it to clean our eyes, wipe our eyes, and scratch our eyes. (33:20) Yes. (33:21) But it also moistens our eyes. (33:25) There's a continuous flow of liquid in there. (33:35) Are we going with you? Speaker 8 (33:40) Yeah, go ahead. Speaker 1 (33:46) Come, it's your problem. Speaker 8 (33:51) Thank you, Adib. Speaker 1 (34:17) 173 says our soldiers are the winners, by the way. (34:20) Our soldiers are the winners. (34:22) The believers are guaranteed victory. (34:24) Guaranteed. (34:27) You know, every page of the Quran tells us that God is controlling everything. (34:31) It just takes a believer to take advantage of that. (34:36) And enjoy it. (34:44) There's a distinction going on between God's kingdom and Satan's kingdom. (34:49) God's kingdom is characterized by perfect happiness, perfect health, perfect wealth, perfect... (34:55) peace of mind. (34:58) Satan's kingdom is characterized by misery no matter what. (35:02) It is proven over and over again that money, power, all the things that people work hard for, do not guarantee happiness. (35:14) All these people who have attained everything, money, mansion, power, fame, good luck, they come, the front page is telling us they are unhappy. (35:26) So I think this principle is very well established. (35:29) That money, power, fame, good luck, do not guarantee happiness at all. (35:42) There's a statement in Quran says that all happiness is in God's hand. (35:46) All dignity, happiness is in God's hand. (35:48) All of it. (35:53) And the same expression, al-izzatu lillahi jamee'a. (35:57) Does this mean anything in Farsi? (35:59) Al-izzatu lillahi jamee'a. (36:02) All izzat belongs in God's hand. (36:06) And God decreed, made a law that He will give it only to the believers. (36:19) God controls everything with all He gives. (36:23) The more you thank Me, the more I give you, God says. (36:26) What does this mean? (36:27) The more we are appreciative, the more God will give us. (36:32) If we are not appreciative, we lose everything. (36:38) Just make a point of thanking God, that is the chance you get, for everything you have. (36:45) Then God will give you more. Speaker 5 (36:53) I'm interested in what God has given us, and He praised us. Speaker 2 (36:59) But in the meanwhile, you say that thank you Lord Jesus for me. (37:03) Do you thank God for me? Speaker 1 (37:07) Sure, you should thank God for whatever He gave you. (37:11) Thank God for your health, for getting your children. (37:21) How much would it pay to have God next to you? (37:26) A million dollars, right? (37:30) I knew a time when you were willing to pay a million dollars for this. (37:34) Who would have took this Surah al-Hamd? (37:48) God never turned us down. (37:55) How is your back Mehdi? Speaker 2 (37:58) See? Speaker 1 (38:02) Behrooz has been carrying furnaces for the last week. (38:07) He did it in Stockton and again in Tucson. (38:10) So at the end of this session inshallah we read al-Fatihah for him, and tomorrow he wakes up as good as new. (38:22) Just take the back pain and throw it away from here. Speaker 2 (38:28) Well the back pain and back pain are out of business. Speaker 1 (38:31) Oh no, not disbelievers. (38:35) Plenty of them, don't worry. (38:39) Number 9 says, do they own the treasures of your Lord's mercy? (38:44) He is the Almighty, the Granted. (38:46) But number 8 we didn't read yet. (38:47) Because they question God's wisdom about choosing His messengers. (38:53) Number 8, why did the message come down to Him instead of us? (38:57) Indeed they are doubtful of my message. (39:00) Indeed they have not yet tested my retribution. (39:03) Do they own the treasures of your Lord's mercy? (39:05) He is the Almighty, the Granted. (39:10) Do they possess the kingship of the heavens and the earth? (39:15) And everything between them? (39:17) Let them promote themselves. (39:19) Instead, whatever forces they can muster, even if all their parties banded together, will be defeated. (39:28) Look what's happening to communism. (39:32) God gave them 40 years of communism to clean out their trinity, and then He let them do it. (39:42) Perfect plan. (39:44) Open up. (39:48) Wake up, brother. (39:51) I believe you. (39:58) How many years has East Europe been communist? (40:06) Since 1945? Speaker 2 (40:11) 1944. Speaker 1 (40:21) It's beginning now in the Soviet Union to break up. (40:24) Did you hear? Speaker 2 (40:25) Yeah, but the ideology does not break up. (40:29) It's just that they are set up with the old guys. (40:32) They want to do away with the old guys. Speaker 1 (40:34) And communism. (40:35) Did you see the Romanian flag? Speaker 2 (40:37) Yes. Speaker 1 (40:38) What does it look like now? Speaker 2 (40:39) Who is now the chief of state? Speaker 1 (40:42) He was an opponent of Ceausescu. Speaker 9 (40:45) Is it communism? Speaker 1 (40:46) Well, not for long. (40:48) But communism is out. (40:50) Did you say communism succeeded? Speaker 9 (40:53) They are still in power. Speaker 1 (40:55) OK. Speaker 2 (40:57) With human standards. (40:59) For all political purposes, they are still in power. (41:03) They still control the army. (41:07) They still control the media. (41:09) And they control... (41:11) Because the people in the streets are socialists. (41:18) They want socialism to work. (41:20) They are disbelievers. (41:22) And they want socialism to work. Speaker 1 (41:24) You have to conclude that communism is a success. Speaker 2 (41:27) It's a great success. (41:28) The people are still supporting social reform. (41:31) The people are still turning their backs to God. Speaker 1 (41:34) I'm agreeing with you. (41:36) Number 11. (41:40) Instead, whatever forces they can muster will be defeated. (41:43) Number 12. (41:43) Disbelieving before them were the people of Noah, Ab, and the mighty Pharaoh. (41:48) Also Thamud, the people of Lot, the dwellers of the woods, or Midian. (41:53) Those were the parties. (41:54) Each of them disbelieved the messengers, that my restitution was inevitable. (42:00) These people can expect a single blow, from which they will never recover. (42:06) They challenged... (42:07) These people I understand to be the Arabs. (42:11) And one blow I understand to be an asteroid from space. (42:15) Inshallah. (42:17) Number 16. (42:18) They challenged our Lord, why do you not trust the restitution for us, before the day of reckoning? (42:25) They challenged God. (42:31) This is it. (42:31) These are the two pages. (42:33) We leave the floor open for questions and discussion. Speaker 2 (42:39) What is this? (42:41) The owner of the woods? Speaker 1 (42:44) Midian. (42:46) This is another name for Midian. (42:49) Which is now Baghdad. (42:50) Baghdad city. (42:53) That's what Midian is. Speaker 2 (42:55) Are you going to translate it into English? (42:59) Baghdad? Speaker 1 (43:00) No. Speaker 2 (43:03) Baghdad wood. Speaker 1 (43:05) What is Kasab? (43:07) Do you have Kasab in Farsi? Speaker 2 (43:09) Kasab? Speaker 1 (43:11) Wood. (43:12) What is wood? Speaker 2 (43:13) Huh? Speaker 8 (43:15) Kasab! (43:17) Kasab! (43:18) She knows. (43:22) Okay, folks. Speaker 1 (43:26) There's a new word in the Farsi language. (43:29) The new generation knows. (43:30) Choo? Speaker 2 (43:34) Choo. Speaker 1 (43:34) So it would be the people of the choo. Speaker 2 (43:36) People of the choo. (43:37) Is the wood here in the jungle? (43:41) Jungle. Speaker 1 (43:43) Not necessarily, no. Speaker 2 (43:45) Yes. (43:45) What do they do with the wood? (43:48) They throw it down. (43:50) Carpenters? Speaker 1 (43:50) Yes. (43:53) They do lots of carpentry. Speaker 2 (43:55) Nadjar. Speaker 1 (43:58) Don't call Nadjar. (43:59) Whatever the Arabic says. (44:03) They throw it. (44:03) Ashab al-aykat. (44:07) Yes. (44:21) We don't have support. (44:22) I don't want to interpret this. (44:23) Go ahead. Speaker 2 (44:30) When I was in Tunisia, when I was young, I was envious of the Saudis. (44:36) So they, they are the people who are very close to God. Speaker 1 (44:41) They are the followers of God. (44:58) You see, having this message creates a great responsibility. (45:06) It's a great privilege and a great responsibility because God says that the Jews, for example, are His chosen people. (45:16) It's written in the Quran a few times. (45:18) So why are they suffering so much? (45:21) Why did Hisham kill so many of them? (45:23) Why were they scattered all over the world? (45:26) Persecuted and discriminated against. (45:29) Because of the responsibility. (45:31) They received the Scripture. (45:32) They didn't follow it. (45:34) Now, the Arabs received the Quran, which is a lot more powerful because the complete message every person says God alone and they abandoned it. (45:45) And this is documented in the Quran, in Surah 25. (45:49) That they deserted the Quran. (45:51) You can imagine that their persecution would be a lot worse. (45:55) And it's inevitable. Speaker 2 (46:16) It's a bad sign. Speaker 1 (46:21) Yes. (46:23) You can say that. (46:24) It's put in. (46:25) In Surah 17, God says, I will not send the retribution before I send the messenger. (46:31) That made it a condition. (46:34) So all these miracles that are showing up and the message and the messengers mean that there is a good retribution coming to the disbelievers. Speaker 2 (46:46) What? (46:47) The people will hear about the message? Speaker 1 (46:48) No, there is no land. (46:50) They are a nation. (46:52) Nation. (46:53) No, just God left it blank. (46:56) He says, we do not we do not Now, let's look at Surah 17. Speaker 6 (47:08) You can see the expression Try to find it. Speaker 1 (47:35) I'm getting close. (48:01) 15? (48:12) Yeah, the end of 15. (48:19) It says, we never punish without first sending a messenger. (48:29) When the messenger points out, gives the stories to the people and then they have to make a decision, after making a decision, their head is responsible for it. (48:50) Yes, this life, yes. (48:52) Talk about this world. Speaker 6 (49:01) What's the verse number? (49:10) Why don't you read it? (49:13) It's 171. (49:14) Go ahead. (49:14) Go ahead. (49:15) Go ahead, everybody can hear you. Speaker 1 (49:40) This is an incident where David was in a sanctuary and these two people went in, smacked him. (49:50) But the 99 chiefs, yeah, they were fighting over one chief. (50:00) What, actually it's a great lesson here, but I wonder why, why did you pick this out? (50:07) You don't know what it is? Speaker 8 (50:09) No. Speaker 1 (50:09) It's just two brothers, one had 99 chiefs and the other had one chief. (50:17) God wants to teach us a lesson about being very careful when resolving between the people. (50:24) And this, the fellow, they went to David to resolve between them. (50:30) The fellow with the one chief said, I have one chief and he has 99 chiefs and he wants to take mine. (50:36) And he insists on it. (50:39) So obviously, the one with the 99 chiefs, David said, no, keep your chiefs, don't give it to the fellow with 99 of them. (50:46) You have only one. (50:48) So if you give him your chiefs, he will have none and he will have a hundred. (50:52) Keep yours. (50:53) So even though this judgment is very clearly fair, David still thought maybe he did the unjust judgment and he repented and he was asking God for forgiveness and everything. (51:07) You can imagine how careful. (51:08) This is what made David, David. (51:11) David is very special in the Quran. (51:14) One of the preferred by God prophets. (51:23) Right. (51:25) This is David's judgment. (51:27) He told the fellow with the one chief, keep your chiefs. (51:30) Don't give it to him. (51:32) Even though this is a very clear and extreme example of a good judgment, he said, maybe I did the wrong judgment. (51:43) And he was repenting and asking forgiveness. (51:48) Our presidents back home, they kill people. (51:51) They don't just say, keep your one chief and keep his 99. (51:55) They kill people, commit murder and steal billions of dollars. Speaker 2 (51:59) Maybe he would have taken a picture from the other one. Speaker 1 (52:03) Yes. Speaker 2 (52:08) No, he wanted it, he wanted it. Speaker 1 (52:25) Maybe he wanted to buy it. Speaker 2 (52:30) No, he wouldn't. Speaker 1 (52:34) That's okay, they wanted to mix, but he doesn't want to. (52:39) The fellow with the one chief didn't want to do it. (52:44) That's not the point. Speaker 9 (52:52) Yes. Speaker 2 (52:55) You got it. (53:03) Yes, he worked it, yes. Speaker 1 (53:08) He worked it and he studied and he did everything and then he, Emily got it. (53:15) He was thinking of God, did he do the right judgment. (53:27) Of course. (53:31) What would you do? Speaker 5 (53:35) What? Speaker 1 (53:36) What you are now. (53:38) Somebody came to you and he says, I have one chief and my brother has 99 chiefs. (53:42) And he wants to take my one chief. (53:45) What would you do? (53:46) Would you tell him to give his chief to the other guy? (54:01) Okay, but the, so this fellow without a chief, he would just sit there and do nothing. (54:10) At least he has one chief to care about. (54:12) He would take it in the morning to eat and bring it in the afternoon. Speaker 8 (54:17) It's his job. Speaker 2 (54:47) The time of Mahomet, but I want to know that the time of Mahomet and the Prophet and you, because my understanding is it could be. Speaker 1 (54:57) Something has to do with the end of the world. Speaker 2 (54:59) Okay, no, but after that he says. Speaker 1 (55:02) Do not be jealous of what I have done. Speaker 2 (55:05) And after, and proclaim, I am the Manifest One. Speaker 1 (55:10) Yes. Speaker 2 (55:11) For we will also be, we said, divided. (55:15) Divided? Speaker 1 (55:16) Yes, to accept the Quran partially. (55:17) Okay. Speaker 2 (55:19) It's the time of Mahomet. (55:22) And proclaim, I am the Manifest One. Speaker 1 (55:24) I didn't say it was the time of Mahomet. Speaker 2 (55:26) Yes, because they accepted Quran only partially. (55:31) It's the time of Mahomet. (55:33) There was no Quran. Speaker 1 (55:34) But you are making an assumption that it is not there. (55:38) I didn't say it was the time of Mahomet. (55:41) I didn't say it was the time of Mahomet. Speaker 2 (55:44) It wasn't, it couldn't be. Speaker 1 (55:46) I didn't say that. (55:47) Where did you get that? Speaker 2 (55:48) No, I said my understanding before. Speaker 1 (55:52) No, I mean, does it say in the translation that this is the time of Mahomet? Speaker 2 (55:57) No. Speaker 1 (55:59) So you are making the wrong assumption and then you are carrying on based on that. Speaker 2 (56:04) Yes, it's not the time of Mahomet. Speaker 1 (56:11) It happens quite often. (56:13) Sometimes we make a wrong assumption and then we build on it. (56:15) And we keep going on and on. (56:18) So I am stopping you before you go on and on. (56:25) What is the footnote? (56:54) It's applicable also to the time of Mahomet. (56:57) I am leaving it as it is in the Quran. (57:01) I see what you mean. (57:02) In other words, at the time of the Prophet Mahomet, the Quran was not complete. (57:06) It was not in this form. (57:08) It has to be now. (57:10) I see what you mean. (57:12) Sorry. Speaker 6 (57:19) You chicken-kitchen angel. Speaker 8 (57:21) Sometimes confusing. Speaker 5 (57:35) Why did God leave heaven and earth? (57:45) And why didn't He tell you? Speaker 1 (57:49) Because He will not make it until after the judgment. (57:54) When all the people are called back, and then the bad ones will go to hell. (58:00) So God doesn't want to do it now. (58:03) He wants to do it afterwards. (58:05) God created heaven. (58:07) The heavens and the earth are different from heaven, which is paradise. (58:11) God created the heavens and the earth in six days. (58:16) But heaven, or paradise, is different from heaven. (58:18) You see, the English language confuses a little bit. (58:22) So there is the heavens and the earth, which were created in seven days, and there is paradise, which some people also call heaven. (58:30) And this is already in existence. (58:34) But hell will not be created until after the Day of Judgment. (58:39) On the Day of Judgment. (58:40) Good question. (58:42) MashaAllah. (58:45) See, the children, they pick up things. (58:46) You think they are sitting there oblivious? (58:49) You think this guy is oblivious because he is observing everything. (58:52) Right, Hanan? Speaker 6 (58:58) MashaAllah. Speaker 2 (58:59) Um, on 2-15 again, in many ways it says, You shall sing the praise of your Lord. (59:08) Is that singing like the English way? Speaker 1 (59:10) No, no, it's the English expression, meaning, Praise God all the time. Speaker 8 (59:15) It's not English. Speaker 1 (59:17) If you want to do it, do it outside of here. (59:28) Money can put up with that. Speaker 10 (59:31) Do you sing a lot? (59:33) Not even in the shower? Speaker 2 (59:51) Magic. Speaker 6 (59:53) Witchcraft. Speaker 2 (59:59) No. Speaker 1 (1:00:05) God says it only brings harm, no good. (1:00:14) There should not be abuse. (1:00:18) I don't know, I have to think about it. (1:00:21) But it's a statement. (1:00:23) It's the jinn there. (1:00:24) Yeah, it's using the jinn. (1:00:40) You see, if it's something good, it should be temporary. (1:00:44) Like the sashegu tries to stop the saints, remember? (1:00:48) It worked for him for a while, but then, at the course of time, the jinn says, Bye. (1:01:04) Usually it's in a bad way. (1:01:06) We have to stay away from the jinn. Speaker 2 (1:01:16) Right. (1:01:18) It never had anything to do with jinn. Speaker 1 (1:01:26) Yes, invariably, yes. (1:01:29) Invariably, it's taken away from God. (1:01:36) God is the one who put them in his service. (1:01:40) God says, I committed the jinn to serve Solomon. (1:01:44) Not only the jinn, the jinn, the birds. (1:01:49) Who? (1:01:50) Kareem? (1:01:51) Kareem. Speaker 5 (1:01:57) You are. Speaker 1 (1:02:04) You've become a good one. (1:02:07) You're conversing him right now by reading the Quran. (1:02:12) When you read the Quran and think about it, our jinn is also reading the Quran at the same time and thinking about it. (1:02:22) And your jinn will tell you, Don't pray, don't believe this. (1:02:30) Why go through all the trouble? (1:02:32) This is his job. (1:02:35) And you tell him, No, I'm going to pray five times a day because I want to be happy all my life. (1:02:40) I'm going to follow this because this guarantees me victory and happiness. (1:02:45) And he tells you, Oh, forget it, this is all nonsense. (1:02:48) So you continue to debate like this until you converse him inshallah. (1:02:55) Then you become friends. (1:02:57) Become identical. (1:02:58) Identical. Speaker 2 (1:03:12) Yes, the jinn will whisper to you. (1:03:19) Yes. Speaker 1 (1:03:27) The jinn is telling you to sleep. (1:03:33) Yeah, this is all of us. (1:03:35) Our jinn is always telling us to like to not worship God alone. (1:03:44) No. (1:03:45) There will be a time when, like Kareem said, there will be a time when he is completely completely complete. (1:03:51) As a matter of fact, he can be ahead of you. (1:03:54) Tomorrow, you're going to be here for the khutbah, Friday prayer. (1:03:58) Yes, inshallah. (1:04:00) So you're going to hear an example of a jinn that is cooperating with you. Speaker 2 (1:04:16) Yes. Speaker 1 (1:04:18) Sometimes the jinn will be ahead of you. (1:04:21) In the Quran, we were reading yesterday, or the day before yesterday, how God matches your companion. (1:04:28) Matches the companion. (1:04:29) The jinn and the human companions are matched. (1:04:32) So if you're destined to believe, God matches a believing jinn with you, who is also destined to believe. (1:04:40) A person who is destined to disbelieve, God will match a disbelieving companion. (1:04:45) Which makes sense. (1:04:51) No, this is simply observation. (1:04:56) They noticed that the sun is in the zodiac, and another zodiac is in that, so something happens on earth. (1:05:03) They noticed that the people who are born under a certain sign have certain characteristics, so they made notes. (1:05:09) And they compiled them and computerized them. (1:05:12) And then if you tell me that you're a Libra, I can tell you what your characteristics are. (1:05:17) You're more susceptible to colds and things like that. (1:05:25) Just observations. (1:05:26) It's a compilation, but it has a long way to go. (1:05:50) We cannot see the jinn, but I guess some manifestations of the jinn, people will think they're ghosts. (1:06:21) God gives the jinn a longer life and more ability to fly in the universe and study God's signs. (1:06:31) But the humans are given 7172. (1:06:38) 7172 again. Speaker 2 (1:06:42) But sir, they have that much ability to go through all the universe, so they have to be more superior than the humans. Speaker 1 (1:06:51) No, because they already made up their minds very strongly that Satan is right. (1:06:57) See, here God is the children of Adam, not the children of Satan. (1:07:02) Not the jinn. Speaker 2 (1:07:11) And the difference between the 7172 and the 7172? Speaker 1 (1:07:18) Not really, no. (1:07:19) It's just that it's a different allegorical heaven for them. (1:07:26) Because... (1:07:32) Let's compare you with a tree. (1:07:35) You and a tree. (1:07:37) Think of it as two creatures. (1:07:40) And I'm going to put you and the tree, I'm going to put you both in heaven. (1:07:43) I'm going to give you steak, I'm going to give you potatoes and rice and fruit. (1:07:52) Do you think the tree will go for that? (1:08:00) Do you understand what I said? (1:08:05) No, you are a creature and the tree is a creature. (1:08:09) And I'm telling you, I'm going to put you both in heaven, where you can eat steak every day. (1:08:15) Know what? Speaker 2 (1:08:20) Right. Speaker 1 (1:08:23) So the humans and the jinns are two different creatures. (1:08:28) And God is telling us, I'm going to put you in gardens with grapes and pomegranates and fruit. (1:08:34) The jinns don't care about that. (1:08:39) So God is telling them that you're going to have your own heaven, which is a different thing. Speaker 2 (1:08:44) It's actually going to be the same heaven. Speaker 5 (1:08:56) Are you a plant? (1:08:57) So it's the same as us? Speaker 1 (1:09:00) Yes, 55% MashaAllah. Speaker 5 (1:09:08) God and the tree are the same. Speaker 1 (1:09:29) Yes. (1:09:30) No, it's different. (1:09:34) They're creatures. (1:09:35) Well, it's my sleeping time, brothers and sisters. (1:09:38) So I'm going to retire and see you in the morning. (1:09:41) I got up at what time? (1:09:50) It's one o'clock. Speaker 8 (1:09:55) Yes. Speaker 1 (1:09:57) Well, I left home at one, so I'll get here about 20 after one. (1:10:02) This is why I keep on laughing when I say it's my sleeping time.
