Messenger Audio 11 (12-Nov-1982)

Gabriel mediates the scriptures between God and the prophets. Muhammad received the Quran in the high horizon, but was slowly released over 23 years. We have angels that guard us 24/7.

(0:03) Latifa, you want to take the mic with you? (0:07) Yeah, there's only one Latifa here. (0:10) Don't look around. (0:24) Moses went to you with profound miracles, yet you idolized the calf in his absence, and you turned wicked. (0:27) want me to continue reading? Please. Okay. (0:33) We made a covenant with you, as we raised Mount Sinai above you, "You shall uphold the commandments we have given you, strongly, and listen." They said, "We heard, but we will not obey." (0:47) Their hearts were filled with adoration for the calf, as a consequence of their disbelief. (0:53) Say, "Miserable indeed is what your conviction dictates upon you, if you do have any conviction." (1:02) Say, "If the the Hereafter is reserved for you alone at God, to the exclusion of all others, then you should long for death, if you are truthful." (1:14) They never long death, because of what their hands have committed. God is fully aware of the wicked. (1:21) In fact, you will find them the most covetous of life; (1:26) even more so than the pagans. The one of them wishes to live a thousand years. (1:33) But this will not spare him any retribution, no matter how long he lives. GOD is seer of everything they do. (2:16) and yet they got so many followers of course all this is what (2:19) satan is tricking ... (2:27) Christians idolize Jesus Christ and other prophets and saints... (2:58) if they are really truthful we're supposed to tell them you're supposed to show us proof or something (3:04) to let us know that what you are saying is for real (3:50) Well, you know, even though we know that it's true, and this is the perfect religion, (3:54) but yet, they worry about their people. (3:58) And there's these people who need to be, you know, given... (4:08) That's beautiful. (4:10) You're touching a very important point of truth, you know. (4:13) When people come to you and say anything, make a statement, (4:17) Jesus is the Son of God, and you say, (4:19) why do you say that? (4:20) You have proof? (4:21) Are you sure? (4:23) If you prove it to me, I'd be glad to believe you. (4:27) But the difference is that we have proof. (4:31) That's a big difference. (4:34) And there are too, like that time you said, there were a lot of times, (4:37) like, without you and I, without you, (4:42) but then, when I talk to people, (4:45) I find that a lot of times they do, (4:47) shout it out, but then, you know, they say, (4:49) oh, I'm here, I'm here, thank you. (5:29) That's excellent. (5:29) You did your job. (5:44) And then God knows if they deserve to be guided or not. (5:47) Okay? (5:50) Okay, there you go. (5:51) That's great. (5:53) Back to Sarah. (5:58) Okay. (5:59) Anyone who opposes Gabriel should know and reveal the Scripture (6:03) and be a part of God's commission, (6:05) confirming previous Scriptures, (6:07) and providing guidance and good news to his believers. (6:10) Anyone who opposes God, his angels, his messengers, Gabriel and Michael, (6:15) should know that God opposes the disbelievers. (6:17) We have revealed to you profound revelations, (6:21) and only the wicked will disbelieve therein. (6:23) Is it not a fact that whenever they made a covenant, (6:26) some of them would violate it? (6:28) Indeed, most of them do not believe. (6:31) And when a messenger came to them from God, (6:33) confirming their own Scripture, (6:35) some of those who followed previous Scripture (6:37) disregarded this new Scripture, (6:38) as if they did not know. (6:39) Thank you. (6:50) That's an important piece of information. (7:04) Gabriel? (7:17) You know who Gabriel is? (7:20) He came to Mary. (7:22) Right. (7:23) and told her of a coming child (7:24) Right. (7:25) Right. (7:43) Okay, so this tells us that Gabriel's function (7:47) is to mediate the revelations between God and the messengers. (7:51) And this happened since Adam. (7:55) He's the one who carried the revelations to Adam, to Noah, (7:59) to Mary, to Jesus, to Moses, to Muhammad. (8:02) Well, God spoke directly with Moses. (8:06) But there were instances where Gabriel also mediated the revelations. (8:12) This is his job. (8:20) Right. (8:29) No, not necessarily. (8:40) But there were many archangels. (8:44) Also, Satan was kicked out before the revelations, (8:50) before the human beings were on earth. (8:54) Right. (8:56) Right? (8:57) So that was not one of his functions. (9:03) No, no, there were many. (9:10) Probably millions, billions. (9:12) Yeah. (9:24) Like an order from God, or what? (9:27) It's an order from God. (9:30) And he just transmits it because (9:33) it's one of the transmission methods, as you mentioned before. (9:38) Because Moses is the only one that God spoke to. (9:41) I mean, the only one who spoke to him in the Quran anyway. (9:45) But every instance are the words of God. (9:47) The Quran are the words of God. (9:50) And Gabriel is told to go and put them in Muhammad's heart. (9:52) Release them, actually, from Muhammad's heart. (9:54) Because Muhammad was summoned to the highest horizon, (9:58) and the Quran was in his heart. (10:00) Like you and I, everybody, each one of us, (10:04) has in his heart, or her heart, (10:06) the knowledge that God is the master. (10:08) The Lord is the universe. (10:09) We all met God, all of us, before we were born. (10:13) But because of this body, we don't remember. (10:16) And the same way Muhammad had the Quran in his heart, (10:19) exactly the same way. (10:20) But he needed Gabriel to come and release it from his mouth, from inside. (10:27) So if that knowledge that you have about meeting God (10:30) needs to come to the surface, you will need the help of an angel. (10:35) Or you need to die, get rid of the body. (10:41) So Gabriel was just transmitting the words of God, (10:44) orders from God, letter by letter. (10:52) Because the body obscures that knowledge. (10:58) Do you remember your meeting with God? (11:04) That initial one. (11:06) Before the creation of the heavens and the earth. (11:08) Where God said, do you bear witness I am the Lord of the universe? (11:11) And you said, we bear witness that you are the Lord of the universe. (11:15) And God said, now you cannot claim on the Day of Judgment that you never heard of me. (11:21) That's in surah 7. (11:24) But we don't remember that because of this body. (11:29) And the Quran was in Muhammad's heart in the same way. (11:33) But Gabriel's function was to release the Quran. (11:36) So what we just read is that, there is a piece of information telling us (11:40) that Gabriel mediated the release of the Quran. (11:45) But you know, what is it that you take notice of when you talk to other people? (11:52) That can be angels, yes. (11:55) Also angels. (11:56) The two of you, one mind or? (11:58) Not necessarily, there are lots of angels. (12:03) We have a whole bunch of angels with us, each one of us. (12:06) They're our guards. (12:08) But that's what I'm saying, these minds, (12:11) they do like, you know, (12:13) they're out of control. (12:15) Oh, they do all kinds of things. (12:18) They wake you up for fajr prayer, don't they? (12:24) They will do all kinds of things when they really get familiar with you. (12:32) They pinch you, (12:33) to wake you up. (12:34) I mean pinch (12:36) They push you off the bed sometimes. (12:42) They speak to you. (12:44) They knock on your door. (12:48) She's shaking her head. (12:50) They knock the front door. (12:53) When she gets out of bed and opens the door, there's nobody there. (12:56) But it's time for fajr prayer. (13:01) They speak to you. (13:03) They did it to me once. (13:08) I was sleeping in bed and I always sleep on the radio next to me. (13:11) I always like to hear the radio. (13:14) And then, (13:16) the fajr came (13:19) and I got up very sleepy and very tired. (13:22) Really, especially tired that night. (13:24) So after I stood up next to bed, I said, (13:26) oh, I'm going to sleep again for maybe a half hour. (13:29) But just as I was going to sit down, (13:31) in an Egyptian accent, (13:34) that's purely Egyptian, (13:36) the word was Iwa, it means don't you. (13:38) Where is Baroni? (13:39) Because he knows that. (13:41) Iwa. (13:43) It said, don't you. (13:45) You know, I really wanted. (13:46) So I looked around, you know. (13:48) Then I thought maybe the radio was on. (13:50) It was saying one word. (13:51) But it was off. (13:53) It was very clear. (13:54) loud and clear. (13:55) Don't you go back to sleep. (13:58) You can imagine what happened after that. (14:03) And then whenever they do it, you'll never afraid. (14:05) You'll never be scared. (14:07) It was very nice. (14:09) Doesn't matter what they do. (14:10) You'll never be scared. (14:13) It was never a frightening experience. (14:15) If anything, it's an exalting experience. (14:29) I'm sure quite a few of you (14:32) somehow opened up your eyes just before sunrise. (14:35) And they're giving the impression this is the time to pray morning. (14:42) And that's, angels do that. (14:46) You go to surah 13, (14:48) this will talk about this subject. (14:51) 13. (14:57) I gave you the verse number, right? (15:29) I know it's here. (15:39) Oh the angels? (15:42) Yeah, the angels back there. (15:54) Right, there we go. (15:56) Yeah, verse 11. (15:59) Each of you, that's you and me, (16:01) each of you has a succession of angels (16:04) in front of you and behind you (16:06) who guard you in accordance with God's decision. (16:12) That's a... (16:14) So you have angels around you (16:15) who make sure that nothing happens to you (16:17) except exactly what is to happen to you. (16:28) I mean, it's just amazing. (16:30) What is supposed to happen to you (16:32) has to happen. (16:33) There's nothing... (16:35) It all depends on your decision, on what you do. (16:41) And... (16:43) I have to tell you this story. (16:47) It shows you exactly how it happened. (16:50) I had a friend who was talking about marijuana. (16:55) Marijuana. (16:57) And... (16:58) I don't know what brought the subject. (17:01) I was walking down the alley there (17:03) and I saw a high school kid (17:06) at the corner there. (17:07) He was smoking. (17:09) And the marijuana (17:11) was smoking and I smelled it. (17:13) It's not cigarettes. (17:15) So I came... (17:17) Not that way. (17:22) I didn't sniff that hard. (17:26) So I mentioned... (17:27) I mentioned to my friend that (17:30) that it smells nice. (17:33) And the friend said, (17:35) Yeah, that stuff is good. (17:39) Or something like... (17:40) Or something that affect. (17:42) So I said, well, expect a pinch. (17:45) I said, God doesn't like it. (17:46) He said, it's toxic and haram. (17:49) It's prohibited. (17:50) And God doesn't like it. (17:52) We're not supposed to like it. (17:53) We're not supposed to even praise it (17:54) or say anything nice about it. (17:56) So you have to expect a pinch. (17:58) And I wasn't... (17:59) I felt like preaching (18:02) a straight lesson about this subject (18:04) that I held back. (18:08) So that was my... (18:10) It was a mistake on my part. (18:12) I felt that I was not doing justice to the subject (18:15) when I really should have. (18:18) Now, in that same day, (18:21) the two of us, (18:23) same two people, (18:24) were starting a heater (18:26) in one of the apartments. (18:29) And I was lighting the pilot. (18:34) The pilot was not lighting. (18:36) But all of a sudden, (18:37) I heard the hissing of the gas. (18:42) The hissing of the gas came in. (18:46) I'm not boasting, (18:47) but I'm not really bad, you know. (18:48) I know that if I strike a man through the gas, (18:51) there's going to be an explosion. (18:53) But it was as if I was completely hypnotized. (18:58) Yeah. (18:59) And I... (19:00) I flicked my wick anyway.
