29) Quran Study 1985 Tucson, Mehri's questions, Admission Test & Final Test
Speaker 1 (0:02) I was going to say, you don't remove anything, you just stick the end on the top of the item. (1:14) So after this, the verse that comes after says, Now, it says, Now, you cannot claim on the Day of Judgment, You cannot say, Oh, I didn't hear about this. (1:24) A lot of people will ask you, What about a person who is living in Central Africa, What about a person who is living in Central Africa, or anybody. Speaker 3 (1:30) or anybody. Speaker 1 (1:31) Yeah, this is a favorite question of some people. (1:32) Yeah, this is a favorite question of some people. (1:33) They say, This person must go to heaven, you know. Speaker 4 (1:37) They say, This person must go to heaven, you know. Speaker 1 (1:38) And you say, No, he has no excuse, because he already witnessed God. (1:43) And Ibrahim is a good example. (1:45) Ibrahim was just a child, and he went out and looked at the stars, and he went out and looked at the stars, and he said, This is my God. (1:50) and he said, This is my God. (1:50) And then he reached God, because we have the instinct. (1:53) It was like being in the middle of the jungle. (1:55) It was like being in the middle of the jungle. (1:56) So every human being has that, has that instinct. (2:05) and then the next verse says, And then the next verse says, included the phrase, Also, you cannot use an execution. (2:15) Say, Oh, it's my father and my mother taught me that Muhammad, taught me that Muhammad or Jesus or Ali, or Mary are very important, and I followed them, and I believed them. (2:25) You cannot say that, You cannot say that, because you're individual, you're an independent person. (2:29) So, that is not an execution. (2:30) You cannot blame it on your parents. (2:32) I cannot blame it on my parents. (2:34) I cannot create ignorance, and I cannot blame it on my parents. (2:40) Because my parents taught me that Sayyidi Badawi will help you succeed in your examination. (2:45) Go pray. (2:46) Not my mother. (2:47) My father did. Speaker 3 (2:48) But why do they then say if you do something good, then your father will come and curse you. Speaker 1 (3:01) Translate. Speaker 2 (3:03) Like when you are a good person, they say God bless your father. (3:07) God bless your father. (3:08) And if you are a bad person, they say curse your father. Speaker 3 (3:12) Curse your father. Speaker 1 (3:14) Well, yeah, I hear you say you son of a bitch. (3:16) That's good, right? (3:18) But I mean, what is the mother's fault? (3:21) This is just a tradition. (3:24) Tradition. Speaker 3 (3:27) Nah, nah, nah. (3:28) When you do something bad, they say, that's what your father. (3:34) And when you do something good, they say, God bless your father. Speaker 1 (3:39) It's just a tradition. (3:41) Okay. (3:45) So, now, when Satan had this idea in his head that he can rule part of God's universe by himself, the angels didn't know what was in Satan's head. (3:58) Only God knew. (4:01) Now God had two choices. (4:03) He can take Satan and wipe him out. (4:06) But in that case, the angels would say, why did God do this? (4:10) You know, our friend Iblis didn't do anything. (4:14) So, as a mercy for the angels, God decided to expose Satan first. (4:22) Expose and show his real rebellion first. (4:26) So how would God do this? (4:28) He created Adam, the human being, from clay. (4:32) This lowly material. (4:35) From mud. (4:37) And then he told all the angels, fall prostrate before this creature. (4:43) So they all did, except Satan. (4:47) He refused. (4:49) And that's why I was rather sensitive to the story that ends up giving us the impression that he wanted to make sujood, but he couldn't. (4:58) He didn't want to make sujood. (5:00) But Quran said he refused. (5:02) So, these stories are very dangerous. (5:04) This is why I am completely averse to them. (5:07) So, Satan refused, and the angels, in the movie that I wrote, the script, all the angels falling prostrate before Adam. (5:15) And then, except Satan. (5:18) So they look and they, you know, Satan is still standing up. (5:23) So they all see he is exposed now. Speaker 4 (5:29) Someday, we have it ready. Speaker 1 (5:31) The title is King of Chaos. Speaker 2 (5:35) Isn't that a great title? (5:37) Isn't that a great name of a movie? Speaker 1 (5:39) It's true, this is chaos on this earth. Speaker 2 (5:41) But that's a great title, you have to admit. Speaker 1 (5:44) So now, Satan is exposed. (5:48) The angels know what he is. (5:50) Now, Satan is eloquent. (5:54) You know when Adam and, they called her Hawa? (5:58) Yeah. (5:59) When Adam and Hawa made a mistake in heaven, they repented. (6:05) They asked God forgiveness and they made tawbah. (6:08) And God accepted their repentance. (6:11) And said, okay, we'll send you to the planet earth and test you. (6:15) You and your descendants. (6:17) And if you make it, you come back here. (6:20) Those who don't make it will go with Satan. (6:25) But, how come Satan was not pardoned? (6:30) Why Adam and Eve were pardoned but Satan was not pardoned? (6:34) Because he continued to think and he still thinks that he can rule part of this universe with God. (6:42) So he spoke to the angels. (6:45) Yeah, he is still trying. (6:49) And of course he is stupid from the beginning. (6:52) And God is exaggerating his stupidity by giving him this tiny speck of land. (6:57) And God took care of even the provisions of the people and everything. (7:00) And he told them, just take care of them. (7:03) Anyway. (7:07) No, but he refused to make istighfar. (7:10) He refused to repent. (7:11) He said, no, I can do it. (7:13) He said, okay, make me a God and I'll do a good job. (7:15) Satan said, I will prove to you, he says to God, I will prove to you that your creatures will not worship you alone. (7:26) Yeah, will not appreciate your power. (7:29) They will always put someone with you. (7:33) They will not say God alone. (7:37) And that's why he is proud of all the human beings who say Jesus with God. (7:44) This is why we have this criterion in the Quran. (7:48) And then the next surah you remember says, When God alone is called upon, you refuse. (7:58) But when God and somebody else, anybody else, then you are happy. (8:03) You know, different people. (8:05) You know, the Jews are different, the Christians are different, the Sunnis are different, the Shias are different. (8:09) Every group of them, they want some name besides God, they are happy. (8:12) You say, la ilaha illallah, you say, Muhammadur Rasulullah. (8:20) I don't want to say, I want to say la ilaha illallah, what is wrong with you? (8:23) I want to say la ilaha illallah. (8:24) You say, no, say Muhammadur Rasulullah. (8:27) You are going to tell me what to say? (8:30) So, it's just some other name with him. Speaker 2 (8:33) It just came to my mind, I don't want to forget it, about my children. (8:38) They are really lucky, right? (8:39) But you are luckier. Speaker 1 (8:43) Yes, you get more credit than they. (8:45) They are lucky. (8:47) You, right. (8:50) That's why you get double the reward. (8:53) Because then, you already brought them up, saying God alone. (8:58) They are very lucky. Speaker 2 (9:00) You know, Mano, in the Quran session we had in Masjid, she was so mad at Azar. (9:08) Because Azar was talking about the queen, and she knows very good now. (9:13) Because she was... Speaker 1 (9:17) Your children are very lucky, but you are even luckier. (9:21) It takes a lot more credit when you grow under the influence of putting idols with God, putting names with God, and then you break away from this. (9:31) You get more credit. (9:32) The Quran says that. (9:33) I will double the reward for you. (9:36) And I will substitute all the sins of the past into credit. (9:40) So, every time... (9:42) Yes, we all do. (9:43) So, every time you call them Hussain, or something, that will be changed into credit. (9:50) Because of your repentance. (9:52) So, Shaitaan did not repent. (9:56) And he continued to think that he can rule part of God's kingdom by himself. (10:00) And this is why he was not pardoned. (10:04) So, even worse than that, he stood up and spoke to the angels, and told them, God created me, and he gave me all these powers, and I believe that I can help God, and be his assistant, and rule part of the universe by myself. (10:23) This is what I thought, what is wrong with that? (10:24) How can I fall prostrate to this tiny creature made of mud? (10:28) And some angels agreed with him. Speaker 3 (10:33) Some angels? Speaker 1 (10:33) Yes. (10:34) So, we had a division. (10:38) So, the Shaitaan and his assistants, they became jinns. (10:42) And this is in surah 38. (10:45) Surah 38 says, The highest society, God and the angels, they divided. (11:01) Now, in the movie, after this happened, I had a ball of light came and took Shaitaan, and carried him to the planet earth, to his prison. (11:12) This whole universe. (11:14) And also, all the other angels who agreed with him, they became jinns. (11:20) That's right. (11:20) So, this is why he was not pardoned. (11:23) Adam and Hawa were pardoned, but not Shaitaan, because he continued to insist that he can rule part of the kingdom, God's kingdom by himself. Speaker 5 (11:43) Sure. (11:45) Sure. Speaker 1 (11:47) He said, but God wanted that, see? (11:51) God wanted to give him constituents. (11:54) To show, I mean, look at the disasters, the accidents. (11:57) Remember the girl that came here in wheelchairs? Speaker 4 (12:00) Yes. Speaker 1 (12:01) This is Jennifer. (12:04) This is a girl who came here briefly, she was studying religion. (12:07) But she was 17, 18 years old, a freshman at the university. (12:12) Beautiful girl. (12:13) And she was riding in a car with her father and her mother. (12:16) And there comes a drunk driver, smashing their car. (12:20) Her mother dies, and her father almost dies. (12:23) His aorta was cut, the operation, yeah. (12:27) And she is crippled for the rest of her life. Speaker 4 (12:29) Terribly too, just completely. Speaker 1 (12:31) Yeah, from the neck down. Speaker 5 (12:34) Has she ever become a mother? (12:36) No. (12:36) She looked at it. Speaker 1 (12:39) I'm telling you, this girl would have been here if she continued to be here. Speaker 4 (12:42) I think they expect her to become a Muslim? Speaker 1 (12:47) Just about. Speaker 4 (12:48) What? Speaker 1 (12:48) Yeah, almost. (12:49) Just about. (12:51) His sister and his mother became Muslim. (12:53) And now they are working on him. (12:54) Who is this? (12:55) Michael Jackson. Speaker 3 (12:56) Is he a prophet? (12:58) Insha'Allah, insha'Allah. (13:00) And how did the Malawians know about Adam and his children? (13:06) That they are going to... (13:07) God told them everything. Speaker 1 (13:09) See, God told them everything. Speaker 3 (13:12) He told them everything. Speaker 1 (13:13) And he said that these creatures, the human beings, they will not see me. (13:18) He said, I'm going to have a perfect test for Shaitan. (13:21) To prove that he is an incompetent God. (13:24) And for this, I have created the human race. (13:28) They are people who have absolute freedom of choice. (13:32) And those among them who side with Shaitan's opinion, that I alone am not enough, they will be his constituents. (13:40) We'll see if he can take care of them or not. (13:43) Okay? (13:44) So, from the description of these conditions, the angels said, but this means that many of them will choose Shaitan, and then they will be divided and they will have wars and bloodshed. (13:57) And God said, I know what you don't know. Speaker 3 (14:00) And what was that? Speaker 1 (14:02) That was before the exposure of Shaitan. (14:07) He knew what was in Shaitan's head. (14:09) You see, now we're going back. Speaker 3 (14:10) But that was before. Speaker 1 (14:11) Yeah, before Shaitan was exposed. (14:15) You see, because they said, you know what they said? (14:17) They said, Are you familiar with that verse? (14:27) The angels said, And when the angels said this, they were not accurate. (14:43) Because there was one of them who was not doing this. Speaker 3 (14:47) They didn't know. Speaker 1 (14:48) So God said, So God said, I know what you do not know. Speaker 4 (14:54) Which is something. Speaker 1 (15:03) Also, this is why He said, Didn't I tell you that I know what you declare and what you conceal? (15:13) You know what? (15:19) What you declare and what you conceal? (15:22) Didn't I tell you that I know what you declare and what you conceal? (15:28) And what you were hiding? (15:29) Because it became exposed now. Speaker 3 (15:32) The whole thing is in the Quran. (15:33) The key to the world? (15:36) To Adam? Speaker 1 (15:39) The key to Adam? Speaker 3 (15:40) Yes, the words. Speaker 1 (15:41) Oh, the names, yes. (15:43) God taught him all the names. (15:46) This is how we invented this machine. (15:48) Those videos and the cars and this lights. (15:52) In other words, God gave Adam knowledge. (15:57) Anyway. (15:59) So, where were we? (16:02) I haven't started yet. (16:09) Where were we? Speaker 3 (16:11) No, the Malaik didn't know. Speaker 1 (16:15) Yes, so now those Shaitaan became confined to this universe. (16:22) This lowest universe. (16:23) Until the period of test is over. (16:25) And we already see the results. (16:27) It is total chaos. (16:29) And I give the example of this girl. (16:32) It's a tragedy. (16:34) A young girl crippled for life. (16:36) A drunk driver. (16:37) The woman dies. (16:38) The man is injured. (16:38) And this is the kind of thing. (16:41) In the movie, I have her story in this movie. (16:44) And I have the drunk driver going there. (16:48) And one of Shaitaan's assistants comes in the car and takes over the drunk driver. (16:54) And actually, and tries to... (16:57) I'm showing that Shaitaan is trying to have a perfect world, but he can't. (17:01) So, this Shaitaan is trying to steal the car away from the other car where this girl was sitting. (17:09) But it's too late. (17:10) He can't. (17:11) But because he took over this drunk driver, he protected him. (17:15) So, which happens a lot. (17:17) So, the car is completely smashed. (17:20) And this guy opens the door and walks out without a scratch. (17:23) This drunk driver. (17:25) Even though the car is completely smashed. (17:27) And it happens. (17:28) You see it a lot happen. (17:29) In accidents. Speaker 3 (17:31) When the film will come out? Speaker 1 (17:34) I don't know. (17:36) Probably five years, ten years. (17:38) I don't know. (17:38) God will. (17:39) But we have it ready. Speaker 2 (17:41) Would you please answer this question? (17:44) I want to have that in the tape. (17:46) When people idol worship and ask the other humans, the saints and everybody, Please give us this or heal us. (17:55) Who is doing that? (17:57) Answer. Speaker 1 (18:00) You see, they are immediately out of God's kingdom. (18:02) You see, the minute they ask anybody other than God. (18:05) They are out of God's kingdom. (18:06) They belong in Shaitaan's kingdom. (18:09) And they actually take themselves out of God's mercy. (18:13) One of the... (18:14) It's very simple thing to take the people out of God's kingdom. (18:19) There is the most prominent mullah in the Arab world today. (18:24) His name is Sheikh Metwali Shaarawi. (18:28) And I have a mutual friend. (18:31) One that is his friend and is my friend. (18:34) And he is trying to arrange a meeting between Sheikh Shaarawi and myself for three years now and just never happens. (18:41) Something happens. (18:43) Like I was supposed to meet him. Speaker 4 (18:45) It cracks me up. Speaker 1 (18:47) I was supposed to meet him in Washington for example. (18:50) One time his daughter got sick. (18:53) So he went to see her somewhere. (18:55) So I couldn't meet him. (18:56) And then he came to Washington last January. (19:02) Last February. (19:03) This last month. (19:04) And then my father got sick. (19:05) So I went to Egypt. (19:07) And I couldn't meet him. (19:08) But anyway, Sheikh Metwali Shaarawi is almost revealed by millions of Muslims in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and those places. (19:18) Like the holy imam. (19:21) This is Sheikh Shaarawi. (19:23) And this is how he begins his speeches. (19:25) And if I ever meet him, I am going to just stay with his opening statement of his speeches. (19:32) He says, Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alameen. (19:34) Wa salatu wa salamu ala ashrafil mursaleen, wa khatamin nabiyyin, sayyidina muhammadin, wa ala alihi wa sahbihi ajma'een. (19:44) Now the minute he makes that statement, he is out of God's mercy. (19:49) And he is not guided in his speeches. (19:52) He has to be on his own. (19:54) Because he is immediately in shaitan's kingdom. (19:56) And he doesn't even know it. (19:57) Because he says, Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alameen. (20:00) This is perfect. (20:02) And then he mentions somebody else's name. (20:05) The prophet Muhammad. (20:05) But not only does he put somebody with him. (20:08) He calls him ashrafil mursaleen. (20:11) Yes, the most honorable messenger. (20:14) Immediately he broke the commandment that says, laanu farriqu bayna ahadin min rusalihi, wa qaloo sama'ana wa ata'ana. (20:22) Immediately he broke the commandment that came out of Muhammad's mouth. (20:31) In other words, he called him ashrafil mursaleen, the most honorable messenger. (20:34) So immediately he broke the commandment that tells us, do not make any distinction among the messengers of God. (20:42) And this is repeated in other places in Quran. (20:45) But in verse 285 of surah 2, it is followed immediately by the statement, wa qaloo sama'ana wa ata'ana. (20:51) That the believers say, we hear and we obey. (20:55) Finished. (20:55) We will not make any distinction among the messengers. (20:58) But here is shaykh sahrawi saying, ashrafil mursaleen, wa khatimin nabiyeen. (21:02) This is okay, he is khatimin nabiyeen. (21:04) Sayyidina our master. (21:06) Sayyidina Muhammad. (21:08) Wa ala alihi wa sahbihi ajmain. (21:10) So I was going to just hold on to that opening and tell him, shaykh sahrawi, you are out of God's mercy. (21:17) Immediately when you broke that commandment that came out of... Speaker 5 (21:23) That's what he does. Speaker 1 (21:29) Isn't this what the Quran is? (21:31) I mean, isn't it logical? (21:32) Okay. (21:35) Where are you going? Speaker 3 (21:36) I should go there because I don't want it to happen again. Speaker 4 (21:45) Dukhan is coming. (21:47) Oh no. (21:48) Come to Dukhan. (21:50) We have two Dukhans now. Speaker 1 (21:53) I don't mind it, but this is nice of you. (21:55) God bless you. Speaker 4 (21:56) Thank you. Speaker 1 (21:58) Okay, so we were saying, people, your question was, people who call on Jesus and Mary and Hussain and Muhammad and Ali and all this, the minute they call on them for any reason, they are out of God's mercy, they are immediately in shaytan's constituents. (22:20) It's just as simple as that. Speaker 2 (22:22) So all these people when they are in... Speaker 1 (22:24) And I was doing it for years and years. Speaker 2 (22:27) I know I was doing it. Speaker 1 (22:28) So thank God that I saw the light and came out. Speaker 2 (22:31) So all these people in the churches, it shows on TV, they shake the head of the woman and say, Hallelujah, Jesus healed this person and start walking. (22:42) That's shaytan healing that woman, not Jesus. Speaker 1 (22:44) Not even shaytan healing them. (22:46) This is all fake. Speaker 2 (22:48) So there is no reality? Speaker 1 (22:49) No, they had many TV programs, 60 Minutes, and some other TV programs, they showed that all this is fake. Speaker 2 (22:57) Alhamdulillah. (22:58) I'm happy. (23:00) Okay. (23:02) Anybody has any questions? Speaker 1 (23:04) No, there is something I want to say. (23:08) There is something that I want to say, but I forgot. (23:11) I'm going to remember it. Speaker 2 (23:13) Did you finish, you said I have it in the movie, send shaytan with the ball, God sent shaytan with the ball on the earth. (23:25) Did you finish that? Speaker 1 (23:26) Yes, shaytan and all his, whoever agreed with him, were sent to this earth. (23:32) And surah 38 talks about ِ َ ال َمل ى ْع َ ْعل ْلأ ْ ا ذِ نَ موُ صِ تَ إ خْ یَ So, when this huge happened, we have two points of view. (23:41) One point of view says, Allah alone. (23:44) And this is God's point of view. (23:46) And the other point of view says, Allah and someone else. (23:51) And now, we look at the Quran, and we find that the vast, vast majority of human beings will side with shaytan. (24:02) Surah number 12, verse 103, says, رُ ماَ وَ َ َ ْكث َ الن ْو َّا ِس أ َ ب َو َما ُر ِ َح َر ْص َت ُمْؤ ِمِنی َن َول َ ْكث َ الن ْو َّا ِس أ َح َر ْص َت َول ِ ُمْؤ ِمِنی َن ب Do you understand this? (24:15) ماَ وَ means never, means not. (24:19) رُ ماَ وَ َ َ ْكث َّا ِس أ means الن the majority of people. َ َو َما ُر (24:22) َ ْكث َ الن ْو َّا ِس أ ِ ُمْؤ ِمِنی َن ,try you hard how matter no ,careful how matter No َح َر ْص َت َول ب they will not believe. (24:31) Most people, no matter what you do, will not believe. (24:35) This will not even believe in God. Speaker 2 (24:38) He talks very kindly, they don't believe. (24:39) He talks very roughly, they don't believe either. Speaker 1 (24:42) No matter what you do. (24:46) رُ ماَ وَ َ َ ْكث َ الن ْو َّا ِس أ َ ب َو َما ُر ِ َح َر ْص َت ُمْؤ ِمِنی َن َول َ ْكث َ الن ْو َّا ِس أ ِ َح َر ْص َت ُمْؤ ِمِنی َن َول ب The majority of human beings will not believe. (24:54) In God, period. (24:55) They just don't believe in God. (24:57) Now the minority of people believe in God. (25:01) Now we take this minority, look at this minority in verse 106 of the same surah. َ َو َما ُیْؤ ِم ُن ُر ُھ ْم says it And) 25:08( ا َّ أ ِ َ ْكث ِ َّلا ب ِ ُك إ َو ُھ ْم و َن ِ َ ُر ُھ ْم ُم َو َما ُیْؤ ِم ُن ْشر ا َّ أ ِ َ ْكث ِ ب And the majority of those who believe in God insist on putting other names with God. (25:21) So the majority of believers in God are Mushriks. (25:26) Therefore, the people who believe in God are really the minority of a minority. (25:31) And this is a statement of fact. (25:34) It is not a law or a commandment or an order. (25:37) It is a statement of fact. (25:39) And we see it around us. (25:43) How many mosques in the world did you see where only the name of Allah is honoured and worshipped? (25:51) How many? (25:52) None. (25:53) A church, a synagogue, a mosque, a place of worship, a temple, any place. (25:58) You don't find any. (25:59) You find one in Tucson and one in San Francisco and one scattered around the world. (26:05) But these are very rare. (26:08) So it is true that رُ ماَ وَ َ َ ْكث َّا ِس أ َ ب َو َما ُیْؤ ِم ُن ُر ُھ ْم ِ َح َر ْص َت ُمْؤ ِمِنی َن َوَلا الن َ ْكث أ ِ ا َّ ِ َّلا ب ِ ُك إ َو ُھ ْم و َن ِ شرْ مُ Except with other names of Allah. (26:21) They do not believe in Allah alone in other words. (26:23) They do not believe in Allah without some other names with Him. (26:28) Mary or Jesus or Muhammad and so forth. Speaker 2 (26:31) I have a question which they ask me all the time. (26:35) I want you to explain to them. (26:40) Okay, they said God wanted to show the angels. (26:46) Shaytan is arrogant and rebellious. (26:50) That's why he created Adam and his descendants and the earth. (26:56) Why God did that to us and we have shaytan in our hands and we have God and it's hard to choose. (27:06) So why we call God is justice. Speaker 1 (27:11) That's a very good question. (27:12) And it is perfectly the rule is that God does not inflict an atom's weight of injustice. (27:24) This is the law. (27:30) So why did God do this to us is an invalid question. (27:37) It's not valid because we are the ones who did this to us. (27:41) Every single one of us was asked, would you like to have the freedom of choice or do you like to submit outright? (27:48) And you and I and everybody said no, we want the freedom of choice. (27:52) Every single individual. (27:55) Yes, every single person was asked. Speaker 2 (27:59) No, no, no. Speaker 1 (28:01) This is verse, the end of surah 33. Speaker 2 (28:03) The end of surah 33. (28:04) Okay. Speaker 1 (28:05) Okay. (28:06) Okay. Speaker 2 (28:09) Okay. Speaker 1 (28:10) Okay. Speaker 2 (28:11) Yes. Speaker 1 (28:16) Every human being, you and I and Faribash and Sulebar and Sussan, every human being on earth was asked personally, do you want the freedom of choice or do you want the outright submission? (28:31) And every one of us said we'll take the freedom of choice. (28:34) You see, in that time, we thought it's very easy. (28:37) Oh, it's very easy, we're going to choose you. (28:39) We know you're the master, you're our lord. (28:42) It's very easy. (28:43) We underestimated the power of shaytan. Speaker 2 (28:47) We still do. Speaker 1 (28:49) Of course. (28:50) I mean, even then, in that dimension, we underestimated the power of shaytan. (28:55) Who's going to be stupid enough to choose this shaytan? (28:57) This creature of yours? (28:58) Who's going to choose you? (28:59) It's very easy. (29:00) Of course, we'll take the freedom of choice. (29:01) And that's why it says, Innahu kanal zaluman jahoola. (29:05) That the human being was stupid to do that. (29:08) Because we underestimated the power of shaytan. (29:11) The power of shaytan is so tricky. (29:14) And he dupes us, you know. (29:17) And you've met hundreds of people and you see the amount of resistance when you tell them, God alone. (29:23) You say, Allah alone. (29:25) And the resistance is just too much. (29:28) And a lot of them, a lot of them are people with common sense and logic and everything. (29:33) You tell them, God alone. (29:35) And the resistance is just fantastic. (29:37) And the majority don't make it. (29:40) 99.9%. They cannot break away from all the traditions and customs that they inherited. (29:50) It took me three years when I woke up in the morning to say, La ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharika lah. (29:58) Three years to get rid of Muhammad and Rasulullah. (30:02) Just one day it dawned on me, I said, I'm gonna wake up on the day of resurrection saying, La ilaha illallah Muhammad Rasulullah. (30:08) And Muhammad is a human being who is worried with me, you know. (30:11) On day of hashq, you call it hashq? (30:14) The day of hashq. Speaker 4 (30:16) Mahshid. (30:17) Mahshid, yeah. Speaker 1 (30:18) On the Mahshid. (30:19) See the Prophet Muhammad Surah al-Anbiya, surah number 2 and 1. (30:22) It says, the Prophet, Muhammad and Moses and Ibrahim and all of them will be in Mahshid. (30:26) They will all be worried. (30:28) What will happen to us? (30:29) What I'm saying is, when they come to me for example and say, you disrespect the Prophet Muhammad by not mentioning his name in your namaz. (30:43) If they come to me and say, you disrespect the Prophet by not mentioning his name in the namaz. (30:52) So the answer to this is, disrespecting the Prophet or Ali or Hussain or any other Prophet is a forgivable offence. (31:04) But shirk is not a forgivable offence. (31:08) It's the only unforgivable offence. (31:10) Putting other names besides Allah is an unforgivable offence. (31:14) Because the verse that is repeated in surah number 4 twice that says, God does not forgive shirk. ِ َك ُد َوَی َما و َن ْغِف ُر (31:25) ِ َم ْن َی َشا ُء َل ل ذ And he forgives anything else. (31:32) Murder, disrespecting the Prophet is forgivable. (31:35) Anything is forgivable. (31:37) But the only thing that is not forgivable is shirk. (31:41) Putting something next to God. (31:43) So I am taking a chance on disrespecting the Prophet. (31:46) If you want to accuse me of disrespecting the Prophet, you cannot accuse me of being murshid. (31:51) Of putting something besides Allah. (31:53) Because I say all my namaz with only the name of Allah from beginning to end. (31:58) Only God. (31:59) Therefore you cannot accuse me of shirk, which is the only unforgivable offence. (32:03) So if you accuse me of disrespecting the Prophet, I welcome that. (32:07) This is a forgivable offence. (32:10) But I tell them, for your information, I do not disrespect the Prophet. (32:14) This is what the Prophet wants. (32:17) And this is what every Prophet wants. (32:19) La ilaha illallah God alone. (32:22) And this is what we find in surah 21, verse 31 I think. (32:27) Where it says every messenger I send with only one message La ilaha illallah. (32:33) Now notice there is something that we take for granted by the way. (32:38) That La ilaha illallah, which is the motto of Islam. (32:41) Or the principle of Islam. (32:42) La ilaha illallah begins with La. (32:46) La ilaha illallah. (32:48) No other thing with Allah. (32:52) And you notice that in the Quran every messenger goes to the people and says Allah ta'budu illallah My message is Allah ta'budu illallah. (33:04) That you shall not, a negative, you shall not worship except Allah. (33:09) It doesn't say an abudullah. (33:12) Worship God. (33:13) Because people worship God and go to hell. (33:15) They worship God and they also put some other names beside them. (33:19) And this is why the consistent message in Quran is Allah ta'budu illallah. (33:26) It's a negative commandment. (33:28) That you shall not worship except Allah. (33:33) So this is the accuracy of Quran. Speaker 2 (33:35) Now you know why you always keep telling me Mary don't say that, don't bring them. (33:41) I said I can't help it. (33:43) There is only God. (33:45) You have to talk only about God. (33:46) Because I knew it. (33:47) It's a responsibility. (33:49) I failed for you guys. (33:53) Now you know how I failed. Speaker 1 (33:55) This is why the reward is so fantastic. (33:59) You say La ilaha illallah and you do it. (34:03) Only Allah is in your mind and your life and all your thoughts and no other names with Him. (34:08) You are a king or queen on earth. (34:11) You enter God's kingdom where there is no disease, no headache, no problem, no traffic tickets. (34:21) Really, perfect life. (34:23) I find this the most difficult thing for the people to believe. (34:27) And that's why I wish you were here for the last khutba on Friday. (34:30) I was bragging about everybody in this mosque. (34:33) The people here, you just, because we have beautiful babies, alhamdulillah, mashallah. (34:38) You have to say alhamdulillah, mashallah. (34:40) And I was saying it with every statement. (34:42) And we have people who left the masjid and they had deformed babies. (34:47) I mean, things that we see with our own eyes. (34:50) And it's because when you come, especially places like your masjid, this masjid, when you come to the masjid of God alone and you reject it, wow. (35:00) You see, when you come to the masjid of God alone, shaytan hates you. (35:05) But he cannot touch you because you are protected. (35:07) You have guards around you, other angels. (35:09) You have angels around you, guarding you. (35:15) When you say God alone, no other names with him. (35:19) But then shaytan is very angry with you and mad at you because you took, you rejected his point of view. (35:26) But the minute you step out of God's kingdom, he's waiting for you and he beats you up. (35:32) And it's really disastrous. (35:33) In the movie that I wrote, I had, there's a rabbi in Boston. (35:40) Rabbi Kushner is his name. (35:42) He wrote a book that says, Why Bad Things Happen to Good People. (35:45) This is the title of the book. (35:48) And of course, bad things don't happen to good people. (35:51) Never. (35:52) This is God's promise in the Quran. (35:55) And this is a new age. (35:56) We are now in a new age where things are straightforward. (36:00) You stay with God and everything is perfect. (36:02) Not in the old times where you had to go and prove yourself by giving your life and being killed as a shaheed for God. (36:10) Because now it's all mental. (36:13) We are educated people. (36:14) There's a lot of science and the whole thing is by logic and by thinking. (36:18) Once you make a decision logically to be with God, then you are proven and you are immediately in God's kingdom and you are immediately protected. (36:30) I'm forgetting what I want to say. Speaker 4 (36:31) It's very important. Speaker 1 (36:33) Rabbi Kushner wrote that book, Why Bad Things Happen to Good People. (36:39) He had a child that had the disease called progeria. (36:45) Rapid aging disease. (36:48) The child became aged very fast. (36:50) In 14 years, the child died. (36:52) So the rabbi and his wife were suffering and the child was suffering, was miserable. (36:57) And he mentions it in the book for 14 years. (37:01) And in the book, his explanation of why bad things happen to good people is that God is unable to control the world. (37:10) That God is crying with you. (37:13) And God really wants you to be healthy, but He just can't help it. (37:16) There are too many people, you know. (37:18) Yeah. (37:20) Yeah. (37:21) And he goes to ridiculous lengths. (37:23) He says, Are you willing to forgive God? (37:26) You know, and realize His inability. (37:30) Just like you forgive your parents. (37:32) Etc, etc. (37:33) I mean, it's just blasphemous. (37:35) And you can see exactly why his son came like this. (37:38) Now, here is a rabbi who preaches the worship of God. (37:42) Alright? (37:43) He preaches the worship of God. (37:46) And Satan is angry at him. (37:47) So in the movie, I have somebody like him preaching the worship of God. (37:51) And then this woman and her husband are crying, coming out of the church. (37:56) And asking him that their son was hit with a car and died or something. (38:00) And they were crying. (38:02) And they're asking the priest or the minister, Why did this happen? (38:05) And so forth. (38:06) And he says, Believe me, God is crying with you, and it's just out of control. (38:11) In other words, I'm taking it from the book of the rabbi. (38:13) And then next, I show the rabbi sitting in his home, watching the TV with his wife, and his wife is pregnant. (38:21) And then Satan comes in through the wall, and he goes into her body and plays with the baby. (38:29) You know, in the script. (38:31) And then the baby is born in the form. (38:34) So, these are things that we actually see happening. (38:38) So that's why bad things happen, because he blasphemes against God. (38:42) Do you think this rabbi is in God's kingdom? (38:45) Will he be protected? (38:46) So, the idea here is that Satan is the cause of all these disasters. (38:51) First, his incompetence, his inability. (38:53) Second, his deliberate bad actions against the people who do not side with his opinion. (39:00) Once they step out of God's protection. (39:05) So, and this is why the retribution is doubled for people who see the message. (39:12) Once you see the message, and you see that God alone, there is a double responsibility here. (39:18) You accept it, or you reject it. (39:19) If you accept it, you continue to be protected from Satan. (39:23) But if you reject it, then you give up God's protection, and Satan will play havoc with you. Speaker 2 (39:31) Thank you. (39:32) I have a question. (39:34) It's different with the subject you're talking about. (39:38) It's about the Salat. (39:40) Before the Salat, ablution is really important. (39:43) That's for sure. (39:45) But, if we just get out of the shower, do we have to do it again? Speaker 1 (39:51) No. (39:52) You do the ablution in the shower. (39:53) You go through the motions in the same order. (39:59) See the idea? (40:00) Remember the order? (40:02) The face, the arms, the hair, and the feet. Speaker 2 (40:04) I always do it. (40:05) But, I heard some people say, in Hadith, it says only Muslim Janabat is the only thing. (40:13) No. Speaker 1 (40:14) Even in Muslim Janabat, you have to do the Wudu. Speaker 2 (40:17) You have to do the ablution. (40:20) Another thing I have is about the Salat. (40:25) In the midnight, when you wake up, and you want to do the Salat, do you have to do in any direction, or you can do anything you want? (40:41) No, no, no. (40:43) That's not what I mean. (40:44) I mean, for example, you can do two rakats, four rakats, whatever you want. (40:50) Anything. (40:51) Another thing is, can you do it like kind of meditation, just sit straight towards the Qibla, and just meditate with God? (41:00) Right. (41:01) Which one is better within the Quran? Speaker 1 (41:04) Whatever you feel like. (41:05) It's up to you. (41:06) Whatever your heart tells you. Speaker 2 (41:08) But you have to get out of the bed and get up and do it. Speaker 1 (41:12) No, you don't have to do anything. (41:15) It's not required. Speaker 2 (41:16) Can you do it in the bed? Speaker 1 (41:18) Sure. (41:19) I mean, that's not required in the middle of the night. (41:23) It's not required. (41:24) That's extra. (41:25) It's beautiful, yeah. (41:28) That's not required. Speaker 2 (41:34) When you pray for people, for example, for the war, for the wars, for the people you know, okay, the praying, how is it supposed to be, to pray? (41:51) I know it's only asked of God. (41:53) But how? (41:54) Just mention the name, or what? (41:57) I don't know. Speaker 1 (41:59) Okay, the prayers are given in the Quran, the prayer for others, what God teaches us how to do it. (42:08) It says for example, So it's always, you cannot ask forgiveness for a mushrik, for an idol worshipper. (42:23) Because the example of Ibrahim, he asked forgiveness for his father. (42:29) And this was wrong. (42:30) Why is it wrong? (42:31) Because God said, I do not forgive the idol worshipper. (42:34) And you turn around and you say, please God, forgive this idol worshipper. (42:38) This means you are not accepting God's decision, not to forgive, never to forgive the idol worshipper who dies, by the way. (42:46) A person who is an idol worshipper at the time of death. (42:51) For example, I was an idol worshipper for a long time, but I repented. (42:55) I discovered what the truth is. (42:57) But if the idol worshipper is maintained until the time of death, then this is where it is unforgivable. (43:05) It's finished. (43:07) Even the Prophet Muhammad, and this upset a lot of people, he was an idol worshipper. (43:13) And this is in the Quran. (43:15) And this shocks them, you know, they refuse to see it, they don't want to see it. (43:19) Of course. (43:20) In fact, this makes a better teacher. (43:23) I understand the mentality of the mushriks. (43:26) I understand how the people go before the saint and pray to the saint, because I did it. (43:30) And for me, it was very valuable education. (43:35) So this makes a better messenger out of Muhammad, that he was just like the rest of his society. (43:40) Yes, in surah 40, verse 66. Speaker 3 (43:44) No? Speaker 1 (43:47) It says, I was stopped from worshipping what you worshipped when the clear revelations came to me. (43:53) Yeah, it's 66 of surah 40. Speaker 4 (43:57) Okay. Speaker 1 (43:58) They refuse to believe God, you know, they know better than God. (44:01) They say, no, Muhammad was pure and beautiful. (44:04) He never did anything like that. Speaker 2 (44:05) It's very strange in the Quran. Speaker 1 (44:09) Some crazy guy. (44:10) Drunk. (44:11) Drunk, transient. (44:14) It says, Like you say, zalal. (44:21) So he was zalal. (44:23) And God guided him. (44:26) But they refuse that. (44:27) My father wouldn't accept it. (44:29) I say, was he zalal or not? (44:31) He said, no, he wasn't. (44:32) God says he was. (44:34) Do you know better than God? Speaker 2 (44:35) It's amazing because he knows how to read Arabic. Speaker 1 (44:38) Yeah. Speaker 2 (44:39) And I always tell him to go learn Arabic more and more. Speaker 1 (44:42) Makes no difference. (44:43) What did I tell you? (44:44) My father, there is nobody who knows Arabic better than my father. (44:48) He studied the grammar, everything that has to do with Arabic. (44:53) He memorized the Quran since he was 8 years old. (44:55) He never lost it. Speaker 2 (44:56) What he says about that verse? Speaker 1 (44:58) Wajadaka dalam fahadak? (44:59) He said he wasn't. Speaker 2 (45:02) But that says... Speaker 1 (45:03) He refuses. (45:04) I know. (45:05) I say, you're telling God, I know better than you. (45:08) I know Muhammad better than you. Speaker 2 (45:10) Yeah, absolutely. (45:12) Listen to this question. (45:16) You had this question some time ago. (45:19) When somebody died... Speaker 1 (45:20) Oh, no, no, I didn't finish that point. (45:23) I was saying that God says that I do not forgive idol worship. (45:28) And then you turn around and you say, please God, forgive this idol worshiper. (45:32) This is why Ibrahim was reprimanded when he said, please God, forgive my father. (45:37) So the proper way for this situation is to say, please God, guide my father to the right path. (45:45) To the right way. (45:47) You can pray for guidance, but not for forgiveness if the person is an idol worshiper. (45:52) Like in the case of my father, I cannot ask for his forgiveness. (45:55) Because God already said, I do not forgive idol worship. (45:58) So I can't go against God. (46:00) I can only say, please God, guide my father to the right path. (46:06) So this is an example of the prayer. (46:09) And this is why when you read the Quran, the prayer of Quran for the others, God teaches us by saying, Allahumma gfur lana wal ikhwanina allatheena sabakuna bil iman. (46:20) So they had iman, the mu'mins. (46:22) wala taj'al fee quloobina ghillan lillatheena amanu. (46:25) It's always consistently. (46:27) So you can ask for forgiveness to the believers. (46:32) The little things that we do. Speaker 2 (46:34) The believers who are dead? (46:35) No. Speaker 1 (46:36) Yes, it could be for the believers who died. (46:40) Could be, as long as you specify the believers. Speaker 2 (46:45) But didn't he say last time? Speaker 1 (46:46) But you cannot name a person. (46:49) Because you do not know if this person is a believer or a mushrik. (46:52) So this is why when the Quran teaches us, it makes it general. (46:56) It says, Allahumma gfur lana wal ikhwanina allatheena sabakuna bil iman. (47:02) Those who were before us, the mu'mins before us. Speaker 2 (47:08) When one of our relatives dies, or friend or whoever we know, is it help if we just said yes, it helps to pray. (47:22) But we cannot pray in the name of like, for my father, for my mother. (47:27) No, no, wait. Speaker 1 (47:29) I didn't say it helps. (47:30) I didn't say it helps anybody. Speaker 2 (47:32) Ok, then I was confused. (47:34) Because you told me it doesn't help before. Speaker 1 (47:37) Yeah. (47:37) It doesn't help anybody. Speaker 2 (47:40) But when somebody dies, it's finished. Speaker 1 (47:42) Right. Speaker 2 (47:43) It's whatever he did. Speaker 1 (47:45) It's whatever he did. (47:48) It's very important, dua is very important. (47:50) I'll tell you why. (47:51) You're saying, please God, forgive us and forgive the believers before us. Speaker 2 (47:56) You want me to turn on the extra light? (47:59) Sure. Speaker 5 (48:01) Yes, this is very important. Speaker 1 (48:08) Yeah, the dua is very important, I'll tell you why. (48:11) I read, they have a question and answer in a famous newspaper. (48:15) You can do the other one, leave it the other one so we can see the outside. (48:19) Keep the outside light on. Speaker 2 (48:22) On? Speaker 1 (48:22) Yeah. (48:23) Yeah, this way we see if anybody is coming or what. (48:28) And I will leave that. (48:31) I will leave this on and turn this off. (48:34) This is the best effect. (48:38) Because we have a queen turning the lights off for us. (48:41) No, the other one. (48:42) Yeah. (48:48) Nice. (48:52) You can say, please God, forgive the believers before us, because they were believers. (48:56) And the believers are all brothers and sisters. (49:00) God said, innamal mu'minoona ikhwan. (49:03) So, your real brothers and sisters are the believers. (49:07) Because, even though you're not my sister, from my father and my mother, when you worship God alone and I worship God alone, we're going to be together forever. (49:16) And my brothers and sisters were in the same house with me for 10-15 years. (49:24) But a believing brother and sister will be for millions of years. (49:30) And for eternity. (49:31) So, this is the real brotherhood. (49:33) Innamal mu'minoona ikhwan. (49:35) So, when you say, please God, forgive the believers, you're really praying for your brothers and sisters. (49:41) Who will be with you in the same place forever. (49:44) For a long time. (49:46) The question was in the newspaper, why does God want us to pray to him? (49:52) Because God says, waqala rabbukum idooni astajib lakum. (49:56) God says in the Quran, pray to me, and I will respond to you. (50:00) waqala rabbukum idooni astajib lakum. (50:02) So, the question was, why does God want us, everything is written down already. (50:07) Your videotape, my videotape, from birth to death, are written down, recorded. (50:12) So, why pray? (50:14) That was the question. (50:15) It turns out, the importance of prayer is, it is a fantastic form of worship. (50:22) Because, first of all, it indicates that you do believe in God. (50:27) In other words, if you don't believe in God, who are you talking to? (50:30) Please God, forgive the believers. (50:32) Who are you talking to? (50:33) It indicates, it declares to shaytan, God points at you and says, see this, this person believes in me. (50:39) Because nobody will pray to a non-existent, imaginary entity. (50:47) Nobody will pray to God if they didn't believe. (50:50) When you say, please God, give me a million dollars. (50:52) Even though it's a materialistic prayer, but it does indicate that you believe in God. (50:58) It's the best form of declaring that the person believes in God. (51:02) Please God, give me a million dollars. (51:05) Who are you talking to? (51:06) To God. (51:06) So, this is the importance of dua. (51:09) Please God, heal my sickness. (51:11) Please God, remove the headache I have. (51:14) So, you're praying, it proves that you believe in God. (51:17) This is why God says, Because, every action that we do, God is pointing at us and says, see, he believes in me. (51:27) He worships me. (51:29) Or, shaytan will say, see, he cannot worship you alone. (51:33) They have to mention Jesus next to you. (51:35) So, to every person, this life is all for a test. (51:43) Everything else is just a waste of time. (51:46) Everything else we do. (51:47) We are here for the test. (51:52) And God created death because initially there was no death. (51:58) But God created death and life to test you. (52:03) What is the test? Speaker 2 (52:05) There are some people asking questions about, like you know we are going through the test now. (52:13) And Alhamdulillah, it doesn't bother us at all. (52:17) We're really strong now. (52:18) But they are very worried about the test. (52:23) Two of them, they really didn't worry because they have a good life without any problems. (52:30) And then they were asking what's happening? (52:33) Aren't we good people? (52:35) We don't go through the test? (52:36) I said, yes you are. (52:38) But, I don't know how better I can explain it. (52:42) Can you explain it again? Speaker 1 (52:43) Yes, don't ever ask for a test. (52:47) I mean, believe me, you're being tested enough thoroughly. (52:51) Before you finish this life, you're going to be proven exactly if you believe in God alone, or if you believe in God and some others besides Him, or you don't believe in God at all. (53:00) You're going to be completely... (53:02) This is surah 29, verse 2. (53:04) It says, Do the people think they'll be left to say we believe, without being put to the test? Speaker 2 (53:11) Surah 29. Speaker 1 (53:13) Surah 29, verse 2. (53:18) Surah 29, ayah number 2. Speaker 2 (53:22) So, when... (53:24) Of course. Speaker 1 (53:25) Arabic Arabic Arabic Everybody must be tested. (53:32) But, the test never hurts permanently. (53:38) The test is characterized, there are tests and there is punishment. (53:42) And the difference is, the punishment can leave permanent damage. (53:46) But the test does not leave a permanent damage. (53:49) You don't lose a finger. (53:51) For example. Speaker 2 (53:53) You lose your money Yeah, you lose a thousand dollars. Speaker 1 (53:57) When God sends you ten thousand, after the test is over and you pass it, then God sends ten thousand, to make up for that one thousand. (54:04) So, because the material goes in car. (54:07) You just throw your car, you know, or something. (54:10) And God sends you enough money to make it up after you pass the test. (54:14) So, you can tell these people that if you are with God, you're going to be put to the test to prove the following. (54:20) That you believe in God under all circumstances. (54:23) Rich and poor. (54:25) Health and sick. (54:27) Under all circumstances. (54:29) Once this is established, there's a final test. (54:32) Then you are appointed king or queen on earth. Speaker 2 (54:37) And, okay, then, for example, if we ask for tests, that's damaging. Speaker 1 (54:43) No, don't ask for tests. Speaker 2 (54:45) No? (54:47) No, I'm asking this for the people who are in... Speaker 1 (54:51) Don't ever ask for tests. Speaker 3 (54:55) Don't you put us under the test? (54:57) Yeah, there's a prayer. Speaker 4 (55:00) Yeah. Speaker 2 (55:00) Okay, then, you ask God for the material and the hereafter. Speaker 1 (55:09) It's okay. (55:10) Perfectly all right. (55:11) Remember I said, because it is a form of worship and because it indicates that you believe in God, even though you're asking for a million dollars or something materialistic. Speaker 2 (55:21) And one more question. (55:23) Really? (55:25) Mahmood. (55:27) No way. (55:29) Mahmood asked me about the different surahs. (55:35) I asked you already last night but I want to refresh it again. (55:39) And the verses, when you read the verses, some of them they're repeated so often, and some of them they are in place. (55:49) It's just changing the subject by the sudden. (55:52) Why? Speaker 1 (55:54) Okay. (55:54) Practically every page of Quran says worship God alone. (55:58) Worship God alone. (56:00) Worship God alone, every page. (56:01) Is it doing any good? Speaker 2 (56:05) Right. Speaker 1 (56:05) Is it? Speaker 2 (56:06) No, it's not. Speaker 1 (56:08) It's not. (56:09) Still the vast, vast majority of people have to mention names of Allah. (56:14) So this is why subjects are repeated over and over. (56:19) So that when you open the Quran at random, see I opened it at random, right? (56:24) And I read, it says they said, O our Father, pray for forgiveness of our sins. (56:30) We have been really wrong. (56:32) He said, I will ask my Lord to forgive you. (56:34) He is the forgiver, the merciful. (56:36) This is surah Yusuf, the story of Joseph. (56:40) And it says, oh my God. (56:42) It says here, the majority of people, no matter what you do, will not believe. (56:48) Even though you do not ask them for any wage. (56:52) For this is a message to all the people. (56:55) And even though the heavens and the earth are full of signs, they pass by them totally heedless. (57:03) And the majority of those who believe, fall into idle worship. (57:07) So every page in the Quran, so you get the message from here that you must worship God alone. (57:14) That it is very difficult. (57:16) The majority of people flunk the test. (57:18) They flunk the first test, the majority of believing in God. (57:22) And then once they pass this test and they believe in God, then Satan works on adding other names of God. (57:28) And when they pass this test, he divides them. (57:34) Malki and Hanafi and Shafi'i and Sunni and Shia and so forth. (57:38) So this is why there are certain subjects repeated in the Quran. (57:43) It's to increase the chance of people seeing them. (57:47) Like you saw now. (57:48) You open the Quran at random and this subject of idle worship is repeated. (57:53) Almost every page. (57:56) You're welcome.
