10) Quran Study: Surah 71, 72 (5/19/89)
Study From Azhar 10, Sura 71 & Sura 72 By Afameh. Chastity, Jinns.
Speaker 1 (0:05) Audhu Billahi min al shaytan al rajim. (0:08) We seek refuge in God from Satan. (0:12) Yes, we did. (0:15) Bismillah ar-Rahman ar-Rahim. (0:17) In the name of God, most gracious, most merciful. (0:26) Tonight, Friday the 19th, 1409. (0:33) And we're starting at where? (0:37) Chapter 71, page 57. (0:39) Oh, surah 71. (0:44) From the beginning of surah 71. (0:47) And our teacher tonight is Abba May Bashar. (0:51) So we're going to put all the microphones by her to make her nervous. (0:57) And wish her luck. (0:58) Okay. Speaker 2 (2:58) They said, Do not abandon your God. (3:07) Therefore, let the wicked plunge deeper into logs. (3:12) Because of their sins they were drowned. (3:20) My Lord, do not leave a single and a true example of the past. (4:09) An entire chapter dedicated to Noah came after. (4:32) He was chosen by God to clearly give the message. (4:42) Teach them and preach to them what's really important. (5:09) Especially when it's through the curtain, my Lord. (5:25) So here, these creations are placed like Abraham did. (5:57) And they basically just refused any invitation from Noah. (6:02) And any teaching that he was trying to give to them. (6:07) He was telling them, Hey, God, however much he insisted, publicly mentioned the message. (6:36) They wouldn't accept. (6:39) And this reminds me of the message that is present there. (7:14) Then you just observe the person going in that direction. (7:18) The closer they're getting, it's just because you care about that person. (7:21) The closer they're getting, you shout louder and louder. (7:26) And then you just want to run to them and hold them. (7:36) There's this man trying to shake these people. (7:39) First he gives them the message. (7:40) And he basically tries to do his best to carry on the message. (7:47) People are just deaf and blind. (7:53) He tells them that God has created you in stages. (8:00) This is the most beautiful part. (8:02) Aria 17, it says, And God germinated you from the earth like plants. (8:07) And this is what I find about the Word of God. (8:10) It's a book of laws. (8:12) It teaches us about so many things. (8:15) About the past, the future, the present. (8:17) And it also has poetry in it. (8:19) And this is what really touched me. (8:22) Also, Aria 16, which is, He designed the moon there to be a light And God germinated you from the earth. (8:37) And here's a plant that you see every day. (8:39) You have a planet. (8:58) And God has created this. (9:27) Obey me and follow me. (9:30) Obey God and follow this. (9:39) God will shower you generously with rain. (9:41) What is rain? (9:47) All the plants grow and become food. (9:50) And the money that's provided and the children that we'll have, inshallah, and orchards and streams. (9:58) All of these are beautiful. (10:06) So, why shouldn't you, as Aria 13 says, Why shouldn't you strive to reverence God? (10:13) Why shouldn't you? (10:14) These are all ones left with money and children. (10:46) There are many examples of when you have children and they become the center of your life. (11:01) And you strive so hard for them. (11:06) Because you're still working night and day for your children and to money. (11:11) And it says, God, if these were people who keep on being corrupted with money and children, and they will have, it says, do not applaud them. (12:02) People were just trying to mislead each other and preach to each other and tell each other that, hey, don't let go of these idols. (12:14) These are the ones that are enforced today in their sin. (12:44) God's wrath is great. (12:47) His bounties are present. (12:59) And being a disbeliever, an idol worshiper, and he will deserve. (13:06) And so, Noah turns to God and says, My Lord, do not really do his best to try to preach to these people. (13:18) And what will happen? (13:21) They will only mislead your servants. (13:26) And we are told at the mosque here how the children are assigned to be responsible to teach to their children. (13:43) But in a family, that's their business. (14:01) And so what's going to happen is, idol worshippers will mislead the servants of God possibly. (14:11) And give birth to nothing but wicked disbelievers. (14:15) And the chain will just go on. (14:31) And the believing men and women. (14:38) But do not give the disbelievers annihilation that will be awaiting them. (14:49) The flood came, and the sun worked. (15:17) And so he told his son, come on with us. (15:21) And he stayed on top of them. Speaker 1 (16:16) Any questions on Surah 71? (16:21) Okay, I have a couple of comments. (16:58) Are you concerned about the Surah? Speaker 4 (17:17) Yes, it's Surah 5. (17:18) It says, those who enter the life of Allah. Speaker 1 (17:28) If it was 550, it's 550. (17:32) And they mean? (17:35) They're pretty old. (17:37) They're over 40. (17:45) Okay, well, I think every one of you is a knower. (17:49) You've all gone through this experience. (17:51) And what we learn from this Surah is that the human being is a human being is a human being. (17:57) From the very first day, from the time of Adam. (18:01) Human beings have been the same. (18:03) Each one of you have gone through the same experiences that Noah went through. (18:10) You can be as young as Nariman. (18:12) And you can go through a lot of the same things that Noah went through. (18:16) Nariman is not a thousand years. (18:17) Or even 700 years. (18:20) But she went through it. (18:20) She was telling me about this mosque. (18:25) He's only one of many that she talked to. (18:28) And then she talked about a message from God that's magnetically coded. (18:33) Superhuman. (18:34) Definitely from God. (18:36) Tells us exactly how to be saved. (18:38) And then he says, oh, this is good for you. (18:40) But for me, I would like to do something different. (18:44) So, his response was the same response that Noah got. (18:50) And you notice in verse 7, he's saying, You never invited them to be forgiven for you. (18:56) For heaven's sakes, you're inviting the people to be forgiven. (18:59) You're inviting them to be perfectly happy in this life and forever. (19:04) You're not asking them for money. (19:08) But they are, oh, I got this here for you. (19:12) I cleaned this two days ago. (19:14) This is the live picture outside the mosque. (19:18) And there are here now about 76 bugs. (19:23) Some of them are pretty big. (19:25) You don't know how they got in there. (19:26) They worked so hard to get in there and burn in hell. (19:29) This is what the people are doing. (19:33) They work so hard to avoid heaven and to go to hell. (19:36) They pay whatever price it takes to go to hell. (19:40) And they work very hard for it. (19:42) So, this is, God gave us this as an example. (19:46) It's very difficult. (19:47) On your way out, just look at it and see how they got in there. (19:51) They had to work very hard to burn and go to hell. (19:55) And this is what the people are doing. (19:57) Since the time of Noah. (19:58) Now, Noah was the, most probably the first, but he was the first prophet, and probably the first messenger after Adam. (20:08) All the people on earth were living around what the Dead Sea is now. (20:14) The Dead Sea is the remnant of Noah's blood. (20:17) So, this gives you an idea of how primitive, how earthly and mystical this was. (20:23) And the human being was exactly the same. (20:29) Another thing, the message, another lesson we learned is that the message has been almost one and the same. (20:39) See it here in verse 3. (20:42) Worship God alone. (20:45) Reverence Him and obey Him. (20:48) So, this is the message that every single messenger said. (20:51) Worship God alone. (20:52) Worship God alone. (20:53) From day one to the end of the world. (20:55) This is the only message that God is sending to us in order to be redeemed. (21:00) In order to make up for our crimes that we committed billions of years ago. (21:05) So, this is the other lesson. (21:06) That the message is one and the same from that time. (21:10) And then there is a scientific miracle that Apamey didn't emphasize enough. (21:16) In verse 16, God says He designed the moon as a light and the sun as a lamp. (21:26) There is a difference. (21:28) A lamp is a source of light. (21:32) But if I have a mirror here and the mirror reflects this light, the mirror will give light. (21:38) I can send light to that dark room over there, but the mirror will not be a source of light. (21:43) So, it's very clear in verse 16 that God is telling us, and this is consistent throughout the Quran, that the sun is a source and the moon is reflected. (21:56) The material of the moon is very special. (21:59) This grayish material is very reflective. (22:01) And this is what Neil Armstrong and Bob Dusseldorf said when they landed on the moon. (22:07) They kept it in their hands, in their gloves, excuse me, and said it's white reflective. (22:14) It's a strange material, but God made it that way. (22:16) God designed it so Apamey can see it through her curtain. (22:21) And it's amazing how much light comes. (22:24) It's reflected by the moon. (22:38) There's another significant message in 25. (22:42) We learned a very good lesson from it. (22:43) 25 says, because of their sins they were drowned and assigned to the head father. (22:49) They found no help for this. (22:54) Now, the Arabic, I wish I could have translated it better. (23:00) I like this translation. (23:03) It's better than the first one. (23:07) But I wish I translated this better, because the verse implies that they knew, which is true, people know at the time of death that they're going to heaven or hell. (23:18) They know, and then after that it is either a nightmare, a continuous nightmare, from which there is no awakening. (23:25) In fact, the awakening is worse, because they wake up in the real hell. (23:30) Or it's a beautiful dream, depending on how they redeemed themselves or not. (23:36) So verse 25 teaches us that people know at the time of death. (23:41) And this is throughout the Quran, we learned that. (23:45) The entrance of death takes the person to heaven, and she is heading for heaven or hell at the time of death. (23:53) So they know. (23:56) Are there any questions on this one? (24:07) Most probably Aramaic. (24:11) Aramaic is the oldest scriptural language. (24:14) And it is a different language even now. (24:18) I have a satan that teaches Aramaic, and it's very close to the Arabic. (24:22) It's the same alphabet, the same order as Arabic. (24:27) And the words that we use here in this mosque, a lot of them are Aramaic. (24:34) For example, the name of God, Allah. (24:36) That was the name in Aramaic. (24:38) This is the name that all the prophets and messengers... (24:40) This is a very good question, so pay attention. (24:44) All the prophets used the same name for God, Allah. (24:50) Noah, Job, Abraham, Moses, Jesus. (24:53) The name I have specifically is about the language of Jesus. (24:58) I have a book that goes with it. (25:01) And God's name was Allah. (25:02) This is what all the prophets and messengers used for the name of God. (25:06) From Adam until the end of the world. (25:08) The prayer was Salah. (25:11) Noah's language, Adam's language, Abraham's language, Jesus' language, our language. (25:18) And many things have come. (25:20) I have a book here, if you want to see the paper, here's the paper. (25:26) So most probably the language is Aramaic. (25:37) No, not necessarily. (25:39) In fact, this is another good question. (25:42) Because you do not see the order to observe Salah before Abraham. (25:47) Notice here, Noah did not say, I want you to observe the Salah prayer and the zakat charity. (25:54) Like Abraham, you see it only for Abraham and Adam. (25:58) You don't see it before Abraham at all. (26:03) Notice here, verse 2. (26:08) He said, O my people, I am a manifest warner to you, to alert you that you shall worship God, reverence Him and obey me. (26:14) He will then forgive you and so on. (26:16) So throughout the Quran, Noah is always saying, just believe in God. (26:20) Because the people were so primitive. (26:22) That believing in God would have assured them to not grow. (26:27) But then the Jews in Islam came to Abraham. Speaker 5 (26:59) Adam was a boy. Speaker 1 (27:17) He had a new message. (27:18) He had new information that the people didn't have before. Speaker 4 (27:44) Only in the words? (27:45) Yes. Speaker 1 (27:53) Maybe it was at Pentecost. (27:55) I don't know. (27:56) But all that we know could have been at Pentecost. (27:59) Because the Ibrahim of Pentecost is very close to what was in the Pentecost. (28:03) And there were 7 million who were taught that Adam was living in the world. (28:13) And I'm sure he passed on this word to his children. (28:19) That's it. (28:20) That's it. (28:24) There's somebody. (28:26) They had no bacterial viruses, those people. (28:43) No more questions. (28:45) Professor Bashar would go on from 7 to 2. Speaker 2 (28:57) Say, I was inspired. (29:05) God is to righteousness. (29:31) Human beings used to seek power, but they only afflicted. (29:38) They thought, just like you thought, that God would not. (29:45) We touched the heaven and found it filled with formidable guards and projectiles. (30:07) Some are righteous and some are less righteous. (30:09) There's a new full veil that we can never run away from. (30:47) We will surely test for him with this regard. (30:51) The message of God mentioned in the Bible. (31:11) This is also mentioned. (31:44) Talking about how they heard this one. (31:57) And they're basically talking about everything that, how God doesn't have. (32:07) And how foolish some people are to utter such nonsense about God. (32:19) Righteousness. (32:20) Here, this chapter, this surah is very important. (32:29) Rashada. (32:41) It's in Ayat 2, which is righteousness. (32:50) Also, Ayat 14, which at the end is his right path. (32:58) And Ayat 21, which we'll cover later, at the end, God's truth. (33:04) And Ayat 20. (33:19) So, the word Rashada is mentioned here. (33:30) These are these jinn talking about God. (33:34) Ignorant human beings, they give power to jinn. (33:38) And try to go to them and get some strength. (34:14) How to make it so clear. (34:22) In Iran, Jesus is so big and the son of God. (34:57) And you ask them, you know, you're referring to Jesus as the son of God. (35:01) And then they go on talking about Christianity. (35:03) And all of a sudden, you're saying, oh, that's different. (35:27) For example, hey, you can't be two people. (35:30) So, that was really outrageous to me. (35:32) And to this day, I still have discussions with them. (35:40) And I say, God has no name. (35:44) Nothing, you know. (35:46) It just goes back and forth and we never get anywhere. (35:50) Here's the jinn. (35:51) You know, the jinn are saying, the Most High is our Lord, our only Lord. (35:57) And it makes me feel so good when I read about these jinn. (36:00) Because, you know, these jinn are Muslims, you know. (36:03) And I think, and so many times I've done. (36:07) Inshallah. (36:22) And again, how these foolish people utter nonsense about God. (36:26) And how they go to the jinn and get strength from them. (36:31) And to seek power from the jinn. (36:34) It's the same thing of devil worship. (36:41) Witch power, you know. (36:52) It makes you aware of what's really going on. (37:05) Here they are showing on TV now, you know. (37:13) So, they're trying to get power from the jinn. (37:17) Getting strength from Satan. (37:20) But it's all nonsense. (37:22) Everyone appreciates this talented actor. (37:42) I mean, or singer or something. (37:43) It's all they got. (37:43) And they thought that they were going to be. (38:07) So, these jinn are trying to go to a tavern. (38:11) And peek in and see what their projectiles are. (38:17) And they try to look. (38:19) And boom, there's a projectile coming. (38:24) They basically cannot get in. (38:26) And it's just impossible. (38:45) Had they enjoyed this one among us who were the ones who were here. (38:56) They're saying, we used to sit there in order to spy. (39:00) They're still not allowed. (39:01) Even though they accepted it. Speaker 1 (39:03) The bad ones tell us what their power is. (39:06) What powers they have. (39:07) Their characteristics. (39:16) They can travel billions of light years. (39:20) To spy means to get some information. (39:23) For example, we went through a period of a year. (39:27) I'm not saying many years. (39:32) It was 74 seconds. (39:36) In Japan, they hit something. (39:41) 74 seconds. (39:42) Including the satellites. (39:49) And this is the jinn we've seen there. (39:51) See what happened there. (39:52) Something obviously came close to the earth. (39:55) During that time. (39:56) And prevented any of our rockets from penetrating. (40:01) The jinns could see that. (40:02) This is what spying means. (40:04) They get some advance information. (40:05) See something happening. (40:11) I'll come back to this. Speaker 4 (40:14) There's so much information. Speaker 1 (40:16) There's a lot of information here. (40:17) When you finish this section, we'll go back to the beginning. (40:22) This is a lot of fun. (40:23) We're going to have a lot of fun with this. Speaker 2 (40:25) It teaches us so much. (40:27) My teacher taught me a lot today. (40:36) Okay, I attend. (40:37) We have no idea if something bad is intended. (40:49) They are mentioning us here. (40:53) And what God's plan is. (40:56) And later on, we learn that all they do is righteous. (42:02) And they are so aware. (42:04) They know that they can never, cannot get away. (42:18) God is always with them. (42:20) And the angels that are assigned to them. (42:24) And these jinns are very well aware. (42:43) Again and again, you know. (43:01) They're so happy about what's happening. (43:05) And they are so happy about it. (43:35) It's driving me wild. (43:48) And I was so preoccupied with it. (43:50) And I was delayed. (44:03) My life is ruined. (44:12) It's injustice. (44:13) The lady drops out of my committee just like that. (44:16) And that was an injustice to me, you know. (44:19) And I was fearing that. (44:22) I fell into it for a while. (44:39) Here, I'm saying that I will not fear it. (44:59) So, again, I can put my trust in God. (45:23) This is, again, a fact. (45:28) You submit and you're on the right path. (45:32) Compromise will not get us there. (45:42) I mean, it just informs you. (46:02) And it basically tells you, here's a jinn. (46:30) The water is against you. (46:35) We will be tested throughout the chapters, you know. (46:51) And if we disregard, as for him, we disregard the message. (46:55) We direct him to everything. (47:05) And who wants that retribution? (47:07) I mean, if we have a bad day here, a headache, this and that, and just to imagine that it's magnified so much for eternity, the retribution. (47:24) I don't know. (47:25) Or a nightmare. (47:26) You get up in the morning and you felt in your night a jinn. (47:38) That's just incredible to me. (47:50) Or they can't think that far. (47:51) Like, they can't think that far as to heaven and hell. (48:02) Oh, we don't believe in heaven and hell. (48:07) But you tell them, this is the Quran. (48:09) And they were raised with the Quran. (48:17) And they tried to hold on to what they've got. (48:20) When you see a doctor, a patient there, who was a doctor, they're ill, and what happens to all that big money? (48:32) What happens to all that money? (48:34) Sometimes you see a family member there. (48:39) A friend there. (48:40) Is that enough? (48:41) They can't eat. (48:57) Some of my patients, every day, it's like, God will. (49:02) So, you know, you submit and you're guided to three weeks. (49:35) And you don't have to take any Palestinian advice with it. (49:40) And finally, ayat. (49:44) The places of worship belong to God. (49:46) You should not mention the name of God. (49:48) Any other name. (49:49) This is very clear. (49:53) We mentioned the Muhammadans, you know. (49:56) I've never been to the mosque. (50:10) They should look at this ayat. (50:17) Worship with Muhammad. (50:18) You can just refer them to this ayat. Speaker 1 (50:31) I'm going to come back and explain a little more about this. (50:35) It's really very clear. (50:39) The location of this surah is here. (50:40) This mosque. (50:41) I'm going to talk to you about that. (50:42) But before this, I see Amir is falling asleep. (50:45) So I'm going to join him in the sleeping corner there. (50:48) I'm going to give him a quiz. (50:50) Because the subject I'm going to talk about is 10 more minutes. (50:53) Last time I didn't talk about it enough. (50:55) Amir asked me a question. (50:56) I knew it was coming. (50:58) He said, what does it mean to keep your chastity? (51:00) I knew it was coming. (51:02) So I answered him. (51:03) I wonder if he remembers. (51:05) I have the quiz for you, Amir. (51:06) What does keep your chastity mean? (51:18) Your dad doesn't know. (51:20) I don't care. (51:21) Your dad is old enough. (51:23) I don't care if he knows or not. (51:24) I wonder if you know. (51:30) Sometimes older people don't know, Amir. (51:34) Amir reminds me of a joke. (51:38) It shows the generation gaps. (51:40) How much more educated the new generations are. (51:44) This father, his son reads, is coming close to the age of maturity. (51:50) So he puts his shoulder up. (51:52) He puts his shoulder up to his son and says, Son, I think it is time now to talk about the facts of life. (51:58) And the boy said, OK, Dad, what do you want to know? (52:02) So Amir is saying the same thing. (52:05) OK, Amir. (52:06) What does keep your chastity mean? (52:09) I thought so. (52:12) Try to remember. (52:16) Give me an idea. (52:17) Do you have an idea about it? (52:19) This is why I want to talk about it for ten more minutes. (52:22) I'm going to repeat it and I'm going to ask you again next week, OK? (52:25) So you better remember. (52:28) Keep your chastity means you keep yourself to your wife. (52:32) You're going to grow up someday and have a wife and children, right? (52:36) And you want that person to be very special. (52:40) So you want to keep yourself to your wife. (52:42) You're not going to have any relationship with any other girl. (52:46) Until you meet the girl that you're going to marry, that is your wife. (52:50) That's what keep your chastity means. (52:53) Because in this country, we live in a strange environment here. (52:58) As soon as the children hit five, they start talking about boyfriends and girlfriends. (53:04) Now, they can do this, but they will pay a lot. (53:07) It's too expensive for them. (53:09) Because when they do this, they're breaking God's law. (53:12) And they have to pay for it when they grow up. (53:14) They have a miserable life with their spouses. (53:18) So this means the boy keeps himself until he doesn't go for all this dating business and boyfriend business and girlfriend business. (53:26) You have to resist that temptation. (53:27) You're going to be under a lot of temptation. (53:30) In the next years or so, even maybe now. (53:34) Do you have girls who like you at school? (53:36) No? (53:41) Do you like any girls at school? (53:45) See, this is what I mean. (53:48) See, this is what I mean. (53:49) You have to resist the temptation to reach for those girls and touch them. (53:53) Because you want to keep yourself with the one that will share your life forever. (53:59) And if you do this, which is very difficult. (54:01) It's not easy. (54:03) You do this, God will guarantee you a perfect life. (54:08) Now, our girls also have to keep themselves until they have the man that will be their husband. (54:18) I know Pupak is listening. (54:21) Don't be embarrassed. (54:22) We all grow up and we get married. (54:25) But because we want you to be happy, we have to forget about the traditions of this country. (54:31) They pay a high price for this. (54:34) They call for the temptation. (54:36) The boyfriend and the girlfriend and all this business. (54:38) And they think they're having fun. (54:40) But then they pay dearly for it. (54:42) When they grow up, you have to pay for all breaking God's law. (54:46) Every time you break God's law, you have to pay for it. (54:49) So if you want to be happy, and we want you to be happy, you must resist the temptations of this country. (54:56) And you must have your own. (54:57) God's law rules your life. (55:01) See, verse 13 here says when... (55:03) No, not 13. (55:06) Yes, 13. (55:07) When we heard the guidance, we believed in it. (55:12) Anyone who believes in his Lord will never fear any injustice nor any affliction. (55:18) So if you want a life that doesn't have any fear, no affliction, no misery, you must be very strong. (55:25) You must resist all temptation. (55:27) You call for the things that happen around us here and in other places. (55:34) When we heard the guidance, we believed in it. (55:37) This is the guidance from God. (55:38) And he's telling us you must keep yourself with your spouse. (55:42) If you're a boy, you must keep yourself. (55:44) You don't touch another girl until the person would be your wife forever. (55:49) And if you're a girl, you keep yourself untouched until the person that would be your husband. (55:56) Then you have a very happy life. (55:57) You'll be proud of yourself. (56:00) If you call for the temptation, you're going to be ashamed of yourself for the rest of your life. (56:04) That you didn't keep yourself with the one that married you. (56:09) So this is what verse 13 means. (56:12) And God wants you to learn this. (56:13) Last time, remember the commandment, you must keep your chastity. (56:17) That's what it means. (56:18) It was verse 29 of the last surah. (56:21) And now in verse 13, God is telling us when we heard the guidance, we believed in it. (56:26) The guidance is you don't follow the traditions other than God's law. (56:33) You're going to be in school. (56:34) You're going to hear about boyfriends and girlfriends. (56:36) And they will come and invite you. (56:38) They will want to touch you and all these things. (56:41) But you must tell them, I follow God's law and I cannot go along with these traditions. (56:48) I have my own tradition. (56:50) And if you're strong, then you're guaranteed a perfectly happy life. (56:54) Pass it on to all your Muslim friends. (56:59) If you really care for them and you want them to be happy. (57:01) This is what you pass on to them. (57:04) Okay? (57:04) These are the ten minutes. (57:05) I'm going to ask Amir next week and maybe ask a few of you. (57:09) So you remember that. (57:11) No, no, no, no. (57:12) I don't want to scare you away. Speaker 4 (57:13) Don't worry. Speaker 1 (57:14) I know you'll never forget because you want to be happy. (57:18) Okay, surah 72 teaches us about the jinns. (57:23) And it has to do with our mask here because of the following reasons. (57:30) You see, verse 4 tells us that these jinns were companions. (57:33) I want to correct something that happened to me and I may have missed again. (57:36) Remember, jinns are free companions of humans. (57:42) Our companions are not called jinns yet. (57:45) They will be when we die. (57:47) When they are free, they become jinns. (57:49) So the jinns that heard this Quran were passing by on 6th street. (57:53) And they decided to walk into Masjid Busan. (57:55) And they heard the Quran. (57:57) And they are jinns who were companions of Christians. (58:02) Believing that God had a mother, Mary, and a son, Jesus, and so on. (58:07) Because verse 4 says, It is the foolish among us who use to utter such nonsense about God. (58:13) The nonsense is in verse 3. (58:14) The most high is our only Lord. (58:17) He never had a mate nor a son. (58:19) They are surprised. (58:20) They walked in here. (58:21) And they heard the Quran. (58:23) And they heard about the mathematical coding. (58:25) And they know it is the truth. (58:26) And they believed. (58:29) And they now realized that this nonsense that God has a mate and a son is really nonsense. (58:39) Only the foolish will believe that. (58:43) So this surah has to do with us. (58:49) And I was inspired that a group of jinns listened. (58:55) And said, we have heard the wonderful Quran. (58:59) You can say here, say, oh Rashad, if you want to be accurate. (59:04) I can't afford to be subtle about it anymore. (59:08) The Quran did not exist during the Prophet Muhammad's time. (59:12) Did you know that? (59:15) Therefore, this does not apply to that time. (59:18) The Prophet lived until he was 40 without any Quran. (59:22) Not one letter. (59:24) And when he was 55, he had only about one third of the Quran. (59:29) The Quran was still being revealed until a few months, maybe weeks, before he died. (59:37) The Quran was not in the format that God intended for the world. (59:40) It was written in the chronological sequence. (59:43) This surah has the root name Rashad four times more than any other surah. (59:49) And if you add the geometrical value of Rashad and Khalifa through the number of verses, number of surah and number of verses, you have a multiple of 19. (59:58) Rashad is 505, Khalifa is 725, the number of surah is 72, and the number of verses is 28. (1:00:04) So we have a lot of mathematical confirmation that this surah is about us. (1:00:09) But this mosque here, that the jinns wandered in here, and they are here with us now. (1:00:18) Muslims, they are very regular as far as the Quranic studies are concerned. (1:00:22) I don't want to spook out anybody, but they love it. (1:00:27) This is why you read that among us are the Muslims, and among us are the compromisers. (1:00:39) Muslims means total submitters to what God says. (1:00:44) There is no compromising. (1:00:59) No, it was applicable, it was information about jinns, it was a lot of knowledge. (1:01:04) But it will not apply to a place in Egypt, for example, or in Iran, or in Pakistan. (1:01:09) Because the jinns who are walking around there will not believe that God has made a son, generally. (1:01:19) The Quran is valid for all times, but there are certain things, for example, Rabbi Judah the pious is mentioned in the 46th thing. (1:01:29) Rabbi Judah was in the 11th century. (1:01:33) The Quran came down in the 7th century. (1:01:35) There were 4 centuries before Rabbi Judah. (1:01:38) There is a surah about the smoke, which hasn't happened yet. (1:01:43) But it is still valid, and it is consistent with the punishments that came to the previous generations. (1:01:50) Gag and Magag has not reappeared yet. (1:01:57) The splitting of the moon happened only in 1969. (1:02:02) So, all these things are still valid, and there is a lot of information in all of them. (1:02:06) But this surah now, this surah, is about Nassir 2's son. (1:02:37) These are the jinns who wandered in here, they know the truth. (1:02:40) The jinns who are lost, and ignorant, and just as Christian as any Christian, or Jewish as any Jew, or Atheist as any Atheist. (1:02:50) This is a group of jinns who came in here and they believed. (1:02:56) No, they were converted afterwards. (1:03:00) So the jinns do change afterwards. (1:03:03) I was wondering about this for a while. (1:03:05) Because the jinns are so strong with Satan initially, God gave them a longer period of time and more chance of seeing the universe. (1:03:19) This whole creation is for the humans and the jinns to redeem themselves. (1:03:25) We were kind of marginal, but the jinns were still firmly with Satan. (1:03:32) So, their opinion is stronger on the side of Satan, and God is giving them more of a chance. (1:03:40) Because on the Day of Judgment, the humans and the jinns who go through Hell will not have any excuse. (1:03:48) The jinns will not say, if you gave us enough time, we would have abandoned our strong alliance with Satan. (1:03:53) They cannot say that. (1:04:09) No, this is a result of them reading the Quran. (1:04:14) They knew, in other words, they reached the conclusion, that is, yes. (1:04:24) They knew as a result of reading the Quran. (1:04:27) Because the first verse says, a group of jinns listened and said, we have heard a wonderful Quran. (1:04:34) Now when they heard the wonderful Quran, they learned a lot. (1:04:38) Those were ignorant jinns walking around believing in Christianity, the Trinity. (1:04:44) They were companions of Christians. (1:04:48) And when they were freed, they had that belief in them. (1:04:52) Then they found Masjid Tulsan, they walked there, and they discovered the Quran. (1:04:56) They discovered there is a miracle in the world. (1:05:00) They have more capabilities to understand the Quran easier than us. (1:05:08) So, these are converted jinns. (1:05:11) I mean, it's really very clear. (1:05:12) It was inspired that a group of jinns listened and said, we have heard a wonderful Quran. (1:05:18) We are a generation that when we were born, the Quran was in existence. (1:05:25) During the Prophet Muhammad's time, people were born and there was no Quran. (1:05:30) It guides to righteousness and we have believed in it. (1:05:34) So they changed. (1:05:38) We will never set up any idols besides our Lord. (1:05:40) Now notice the things that we say here in this mosque, and they repeat. (1:05:44) Like in verse 13, this is something we always say in this mosque, and they believe it now. (1:05:50) They are simply repeating what we say here. (1:05:52) Anyone who believes in his Lord will never fear any injustice or any affliction. (1:05:58) They actually go back to the people and they say this. (1:06:03) And they heard it here. (1:06:10) Some of these verses also are to teach us some characteristics of the jinns. (1:06:15) Some of us are righteous and some are less than righteous. (1:06:18) Because they go and talk to their Christian jinns and they tell them, no, this is nonsense. (1:06:23) The Lord Jesus will save us. (1:06:24) He died for our sins. (1:06:26) Same things that you go through. (1:06:30) And they do talk some of them into coming with them back here and say, come and listen. (1:06:36) Some are guided and some are not. (1:06:41) We used to listen to the sky, it tells us what kind of power they have also. (1:06:53) It's a very confusing subject, so don't be... (1:06:59) No, no, no, they are talking about their kind. (1:07:13) You think they are bad humans? (1:07:17) Are they bad human beings? (1:07:20) No? (1:07:21) No? (1:07:22) Do you think they are bad human beings? (1:07:24) Okay, so if you talk about the human race, if you talk about the human race, you can say some of us are righteous and some are less than righteous. (1:07:32) They talk about the jinn race. (1:07:34) Talk about the jinn beings, not talk about themselves. (1:07:38) Okay, is that clear now? (1:07:40) Well, we knew full well that we can never run away from God. (1:07:44) As a result of studying the Quran, they know now that they will be gathered on the Day of Judgment. (1:07:51) Yes, the ones... (1:07:56) Yes. (1:08:01) Right. (1:08:04) You can imagine yourself talking about the human race. (1:08:08) After reading the Quran. (1:08:10) It's exactly the same. (1:08:13) And you will find the same thing is applicable. (1:08:15) What God is teaching us here is that the jinns are like us. (1:08:18) Some of them are Muslims, some are atheists, some are Jewish, and so on. (1:08:22) They are dead. (1:08:27) Those are future jinns. (1:08:29) Those are future jinns. (1:08:31) They are trapped in our body until we die. (1:08:36) They are companions. (1:08:39) They are companions. (1:08:42) They are not part of your soul. (1:08:43) Your soul is an independent person called Best Khalifa. (1:08:47) And the companion is an independent person called Best Khalifa. (1:08:52) His creed also, when you die, the other Best Khalifa becomes a jinn. (1:08:58) And stays around here about 600 or 700 more years. (1:09:03) In your case, 300 years. (1:09:10) You mean after we die? (1:09:12) Yes, they are just floating around. (1:09:15) No, they are not part of us anymore. (1:09:20) Now they are part of us. (1:09:21) They go wherever you go. Speaker 4 (1:09:23) Yes. Speaker 1 (1:09:25) This is very important. (1:09:27) The companion is the major witness for or against something that they have done. (1:09:35) Because this is a companion that is with you from birth to death. (1:09:39) Always. (1:09:40) Wherever you go. (1:09:42) And she knows everything about you. (1:09:44) So she makes a perfect witness. (1:09:46) She is an eyewitness. (1:09:48) From inside out. (1:09:50) I mean what a more perfect witness than that. (1:09:54) And the surah 50 explains that. (1:10:06) Your gods will not allow them to do that. (1:10:08) Now your companion is inside of you. (1:10:11) You can feel that. (1:10:13) Like the example they use is you are watching TV and the noon prayer comes. (1:10:18) And it is your companion that is telling you not to wait until the news is over. (1:10:23) Then you will miss the prayer. (1:10:33) Of the evil. (1:10:35) Satan. Speaker 4 (1:10:36) Yes. Speaker 1 (1:10:37) Yes. (1:10:38) Yes. (1:10:40) Exactly. (1:10:41) Exactly. (1:10:42) You are right. (1:10:43) Yes. (1:10:47) No, no, no. (1:10:48) Okay. (1:10:50) You are right. (1:10:51) You are right. (1:10:52) You are continuously changing them. (1:10:54) All you are doing is submitting to them. (1:10:57) Your jinn is Satan's representative in your body. (1:11:00) Satan's representative. (1:11:02) So she is continuously telling you not to worship God alone. (1:11:07) Worship Sharif and Magni and Bajaj and so on. (1:11:11) So this is what she is doing. (1:11:13) To stop you from the five prayers. (1:11:15) To discourage you from fasting month of Ramadan. (1:11:19) To tell you to follow the social system. (1:11:22) Have a boyfriend or girlfriend. (1:11:26) She is always telling you to do the bad things. (1:11:28) Now you are supposed to represent God's point of view. (1:11:33) Worship God alone. (1:11:34) Develop the soul. (1:11:35) Grow. (1:11:36) Do the five prayers. (1:11:37) Fast the month of Ramadan. (1:11:38) Follow the moral system that God has given us. (1:11:42) And she said, I'm sorry. (1:11:44) There is continuous debate in your head between you and your satan representative. (1:11:50) And when this body dies then both souls are free. (1:11:54) And we go to the world of souls and the jinn stays around. (1:12:01) So this, the word jinn implies they are free companions. (1:12:08) Right? (1:12:35) Yes, the number of humans and number of jinns are equal. (1:12:37) But not in the end. (1:12:40) Not at this time. (1:12:42) There are jinns from the past generations. (1:12:52) Roughly, yes. (1:12:53) Roughly equal. (1:13:11) No, no. (1:13:11) Not necessarily. (1:13:24) Yes, higher than some angels. (1:13:26) The angels will be distributed in the heavens at all levels. (1:13:31) Just like... (1:13:32) See, when we go back, we need to go back and rejoin God's kingdom in the way we were before. (1:13:35) Before we... (1:13:37) Before the feud happened. (1:13:39) Before the great feud. (1:13:42) But we can't exceed what we... (1:13:44) where we were. (1:13:46) Depending on how much we develop our soul. (1:13:49) See, we were in heaven. (1:13:52) And we were in a different rank. (1:13:55) I mean, in a particular, specific rank. (1:13:57) And then we committed that crime. (1:13:59) So we fell here. (1:14:00) Now our job is to redeem ourselves. (1:14:02) And we can redeem ourselves to the same rank, or to higher, or lower. (1:14:07) Depending on how hard we work. (1:14:09) And how much we develop our soul. (1:14:13) So when we go back, we're going to fit back into God's kingdom among the angels. (1:14:18) We just go back to the same situation as before the feud. (1:14:23) Only with a new rank. (1:14:25) Depending on what we did. (1:14:26) Did I clarify this? (1:14:27) So some of the answers would be lower than us, if we develop ourselves sufficiently. (1:14:39) If we develop ourselves to the max, we can be at the highest level. (1:14:44) With the highest angels. (1:14:45) Archangels. (1:15:02) Yes, it's possible to be in a different stage. (1:15:06) But this will detect the weakness of the human. (1:15:28) The saying is still a message to me. (1:15:31) I was inspired by the group of things I listened to. (1:15:35) Actually I find that I said this before I made the connection between this surah. (1:15:42) I said this in the past. (1:15:47) As long as ten years ago, when we read this surah. (1:15:50) I said that the jinns come in here and they listen to us and they make this. (1:16:29) I cannot say that he has either. (1:16:32) Most probably he was not, because there was no Quran. (1:17:10) It's very possible. (1:17:13) No. (1:17:14) I didn't hear the whole question. (1:17:16) I didn't hear the whole question. (1:17:19) They don't know the future. (1:17:33) They'll be at the same stage as the people around the Prophet. (1:17:37) Same stage as the Prophet and the people around him. (1:17:44) Yes. (1:18:05) This is demon possession. (1:18:09) Some of them are mischievous. (1:18:19) This is a rare thing. (1:18:20) Does anybody here see a demon possessed person? (1:18:24) It's rare. (1:18:26) Only if you went to see the movie Exodus, which is a great exaggeration. (1:18:31) Based on a true story. (1:18:35) Okay. (1:18:35) Back to Upper Main. (1:18:37) Only ten minutes. Speaker 4 (1:18:44) Yeah? Speaker 1 (1:19:20) No. (1:19:21) This is the places of worship and the act of worship. (1:19:24) When you do the prayer, or the fasting, or the Hajj. (1:19:29) You must be devoted to God alone. (1:19:32) In the Khutbah and in the Quranic study, in the Quran and so on. (1:19:35) The Quran itself says, mentions, in connection with the scripture. (1:19:38) Abraham, Mary, Pharaoh. (1:19:41) The Quran itself says that. (1:19:43) So, I would say that this is the places of worship. (1:20:16) So if you read Surah 19, it tells you what's mentioned in the book. (1:20:22) Or any connection with it. (1:20:23) It mentions Mary, or Jesus, or Pharaoh, and so on. (1:20:28) And Abraham. (1:20:28) Those names. (1:20:30) So when you study the Quran, or you're learning from history, you have to mention these names. (1:20:37) Only because God said so. (1:20:41) But when it comes to the act of worship, you must devote it to God completely. (1:20:49) Yes? Speaker 3 (1:20:49) There are differences. (1:21:00) When you praise God, you praise God. (1:21:03) If you mention somebody else, you mention him in worship. (1:21:08) Allah avoid us. (1:21:18) Praise God, and you call to God. (1:21:21) And you add somebody. (1:21:27) You are calling for prayer. (1:21:30) Prayer is... Speaker 1 (1:21:45) Devoted to God alone. (1:21:47) In the act of worship. (1:21:48) But we were studying. (1:21:50) Now, for example, we're studying the Quran. (1:21:52) The Quran tells you to mention these names to learn from the history. (1:22:01) In this context. (1:22:05) I see your point. (1:22:10) I want to make it as difficult as possible. (1:22:13) Because no matter what understanding or interpretation we reach, we'll be taking a chance to mention anybody else's name in the act of worship. (1:22:27) Like we do the prayer in the desert sometimes. (1:22:30) A lot. (1:22:30) Driving in the desert. (1:22:33) We go to the picnic area. (1:22:34) What does this mean in the picnic area? (1:22:36) We should not mention Sharif or Meccan. (1:23:00) But the key words here are place of worship. (1:23:05) Or position of worship. (1:23:06) So, in the specific practices of worship. (1:23:11) Like Salat, and fasting, and zakat, and Hajj, and sacrificing animals, whatever. (1:23:17) This must be devoted to God alone. (1:23:21) When you mention the name of God to an animal, it must be the name of God alone. (1:23:24) Or other names. (1:23:29) I want to go back. (1:23:30) When you do the prayer in the picnic area, when you stand up for the prayer, you mention only the name of God. (1:23:35) In the prayer. (1:23:36) As soon as you say Salam Alaikum, say congratulations, Douglas. (1:23:39) You mention Douglas. (1:23:41) But it is not part of the worship. (1:23:45) So I want to make this very strict. (1:23:47) But it goes without saying that when you are outside of the acts of worship, you can... (1:23:55) The Quran itself says, mention those names to learn from them. (1:24:38) Ok, but you see, Rami, you have a very good point here. (1:24:42) But remember that the teacher of Quran is God. (1:24:46) And for the sincere believers, God will see to it that they will reach the right conclusion. (1:24:51) Just like we are reaching it right now. (1:24:54) I am not... (1:24:57) They don't need me. (1:24:58) I am not the one who is teaching the Quran. (1:25:00) God is teaching all of us right now. (1:25:14) But listen, if God guides them to mention no other name than the mosque, under any circumstances, we may be able to build a mosque right here in this area where there is a prayer hall where no other name is mentioned here. (1:25:27) And our Quranic study will be in a place where we have chairs, and a movie screen, or a big TV, or something. (1:25:34) That will be for the Quranic study. (1:25:35) And when we go to the prayer hall, no other name will be mentioned in that hall. (1:25:39) If they do that, more power to them. (1:25:41) That will be wonderful. (1:25:42) We may be able to do this someday. (1:25:44) Do it someday. (1:25:46) But this is where the word compromisers comes into picture. (1:25:49) See, it's only four verses before that. (1:25:56) If the message reaches... (1:25:58) Now, remember that God is the teacher of the Quran. (1:26:01) For every generation. (1:26:02) For the sincere believers, God sees to it that they reach the correct conclusions. (1:26:08) The insincere will always be sent astray, no matter how clear you can be. (1:26:15) So, this is a law, in verse 18, that we can never compromise it. (1:26:28) Now, remember there is a law in the Quran that says if you are forced by circumstance, without being malicious or deliberate, you are committing no error. (1:26:35) So, right now, our circumstances dictate to us that we use this same law for prayer, and for Quranic study, and for matlaqs, and so on. (1:26:44) But the day will come, if we reach enough, inshallah, we will have conflicts. (1:26:50) On this block, where there is a prayer hall, nothing goes on in it except prayer, and only the name of God. (1:27:02) God. (1:27:04) Yes. (1:27:08) Yes. (1:27:10) Yes, but the khutba follows the instructions of the Quran, what was in Kitab-e Maryam, what was in Kitab-e Ibrahim, and use their history as lessons, this is surah 28. (1:27:19) We will be following the Quran. (1:27:22) The khutba, the people are sitting listening, this is not part of the contact prayer. (1:28:09) Yes. (1:28:10) But that word has many meanings depending on the context. (1:28:18) When you say the name of Muhammad, you are worshipping Muhammad. (1:28:24) You can use the mention of worship. (1:28:29) When you mention Muhammad, Ali Muhammad, Ibrahim, Ali Ibrahim, in the contact prayer, you are worshipping them. (1:28:37) So, there is no difference. (1:28:51) Do you have the Farsi translation there? (1:29:02) I want to go to the extreme and make it as difficult as possible to mention any other name in the circumstances of the mosque. (1:29:10) If they find it necessary, then this will fall under the Quranic law, that if you are forced by circumstance, without being deliberate or malicious, you will not be making a mistake. Speaker 3 (1:29:21) Yes, there is not so many differences. (1:29:28) For example, Allah says to say to them, that invite, Allah commands you, worship your children. Speaker 1 (1:31:19) No, no, I want a separate book of the Quranic study and a separate book of the prayer. (1:31:39) What are you suggesting, Rami? Speaker 4 (1:31:51) Right. Speaker 1 (1:31:59) Okay, I want to put you in the same... (1:32:02) Go ahead and translate it.
