46) Quran Study: 37:159-38:25, 39:11
Admission Test - I don't compromise
(0:00) Surah 72, verse 6, that... Speaker 13 (0:04) Is it fast, Abin? (0:05) Yeah, you want to pass this? (0:06) Yeah, pass it. Speaker 1 (0:07) ...problem. And I know some people who use the jinn, and the jinn became their God. (0:17) And on the Day of Judgment, the God will ask some of those jinn about that, and they will disown each other. (0:28) I know one person who calls the jinn jinn, and the jinn say, I'm Ali ibn Abi Talib. (0:36) And they will ask about this thing, you know, and the jinn will play around with them, and will give them information that they actually believe. (0:47) And that causes their destruction. Speaker 2 (0:50) Is that information correct or wrong? Speaker 1 (0:54) Of course it's wrong. Speaker 2 (0:56) So is it the jinn of Ali, for example? Speaker 1 (1:00) No, it's probably not the jinn of Ali, but the companion of Ali. (1:04) Because Ali died too long ago. (1:07) I haven't heard of a jinn that's 1,400 years old. (1:13) If the jinn want to play around, they can say anything they want. (1:16) If the person's crazy about Elvis Presley, they will come and say, I'm Elvis. (1:22) They even sing. Speaker 6 (1:26) Just to fool the humans. Speaker 1 (1:30) See, what can keep the kids quiet? (1:32) What can we do to keep them quiet? (1:43) I have a better idea of separating them. (1:46) Everybody call your kids next to you. (1:50) Let them sit next to you. (1:57) They can hear something useful sometimes. Speaker 6 (2:01) Oh, yeah. (2:03) I've got my kid here. Speaker 5 (2:22) Okay. Speaker 7 (2:24) MashaAllah, it's nice and quiet this way. Speaker 8 (2:29) Yes. Speaker 1 (2:31) 150 miles says, God be glorified far above their claim. (2:36) Only God's servants who are devoted to him alone will be saved. (2:40) Indeed, you and what you worship cannot impose anything on him. (2:46) Every one of you will burn in hell. (2:48) All those people who blaspheme against God, some are misled by the jinn, etc., etc. (2:56) Those who are not devoted to God alone have chosen, insisted on going to hell. (3:04) The angels, each one of us has a specific job. (3:12) So when you look at your kid and you say, MashaAllah, there's an angel specializing in protecting that kid. (3:19) MashaAllah invokes that protection. (3:23) There's a mechanism for everything. (3:30) When you get up in the morning and you say, Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, La ilaha illallah, this invokes an angel to say to you all day and see to it that you have a nice day. (3:44) 165, the angels say, we are the arrangers, organizers. (3:48) We have duly glorified our Lord. (3:53) They used to say, had we received the correct instructions from our parents, we would have been worshipers, devoted to God alone. (4:03) But they disbelieved, they would find out. (4:07) Victory for the messengers guaranteed. (4:09) Our decision is already decreed for our servants, the messengers. (4:13) They are surely the victors. (4:16) Our soldiers are the winners. (4:23) So disregard them for a while. (4:25) Watch them, they too will watch. (4:27) So they challenge our retribution. (4:30) When it hits, they will be sorry. (4:33) They have been warned. (4:34) Disregard them for a while. (4:36) Watch them, they too will watch. (4:39) Glory be to your Lord, the great Lord, far above their claim. (4:44) Peace be upon the messengers. (4:47) Praise be to God, Lord of the universe. (4:50) You notice the Quran is teaching us to make no distinction among the messengers. (4:55) So God says, peace be upon the messengers. (5:00) The next surah in the name of God, most gracious, most merciful, and the Quran that contains the mathematical code. (5:09) The message. (5:11) It was a miracle. (5:14) And the strength of who went through this today, who looked at the references, who this word is used, fixed, and it seems to point, among other things, to the mathematical code of the Quran. (5:29) Those who disbelieved have plunged into arrogance and defiance. (5:36) Many a generation before them were annihilated. (5:39) They called for help, but to no avail. (5:41) They wondered that a warner should come to them from among them. (5:45) The disbeliever said, he is a magician, a liar. (5:49) Did he make the God into one God? (5:51) Oh no. (5:54) How strange. (5:55) This is really strange. (5:58) Because every messenger came with a message. (6:00) There is no God except the one God. (6:01) You must forget about the saints, the prophets, the messengers, as idols. (6:10) Did he make the God into one God? (6:12) This is really strange. (6:14) The leaders announced, go and steadfastly persevere in worshipping your God. (6:18) This is all you need. (6:22) We never heard of this from the religion of our fathers. (6:25) This is a lie. (6:26) These are the things that we hear, exactly. (6:31) We never heard of this from the religion of our fathers. (6:37) This is their problem. (6:38) And they repeat to me, the Quran says, follow God's revelation. (6:41) You know, we follow what our parents taught us. (6:46) So one needs to have an open mind and a free, freedom. (6:51) You can't follow the parents blindly. (6:56) There is too much at stake. (6:58) And this means perfect happiness here in this world. (7:02) What terrible misery here in this world. (7:04) Heaven and hell begin right here. (7:06) And all we need to do is step into God's kingdom. (7:08) Then you are guaranteed perfect happiness. (7:13) You step into Satan's kingdom and you are guaranteed perfect misery. (7:16) Even if you make millions and live in mansions. (7:23) What did Christina Onassis do? (7:25) With all her billions. (7:27) She tried to commit suicide six times. (7:30) Finally she succeeded and went to heaven. (7:32) Because she was really in a circumstance. (7:39) She was abused, oppressed, misguided, mistreated, whatever. (7:46) God knows her circumstances. (7:48) She died at the age of 38. (7:51) But she was a very unhappy person. (7:59) How about her father, one of the richest men in the world? (8:03) And all God did was nullify the muscles in his eyelids. (8:08) I mean, these are the weakest muscles in our body. (8:11) He couldn't open his eyes. (8:15) He was willing to pay a hundred million dollars to fix that. (8:19) He couldn't. (8:21) He had the cut tape. (8:22) He had to keep it completely open all the time. (8:26) And this is suffering because it burns. (8:28) Imagine keeping your eyes open all the time. (8:30) Just try it for two minutes. (8:32) See what happens. (8:33) You cannot do it. (8:36) It's a simple design that we take for granted. (8:39) But God designed it to clean our eyes, wipe our eyes, and scratch our eyes. (8:47) Yes. (8:48) But it also moistens our eyes. (8:51) There's a continuous flow of liquid. Speaker 7 (9:01) Are we going with you? Speaker 14 (9:04) All right. (9:07) Yeah, go ahead. Speaker 5 (9:12) Come, it's your problem. Speaker 14 (9:17) Thank you, Adi. Speaker 1 (9:42) 173 says our soldiers are the winners, by the way. (9:45) Our soldiers are the winners. (9:47) The believers are guaranteed victory. (9:50) Guaranteed. (9:52) You know, every page of the Quran says that God is controlling everything. (9:56) It just takes a believer to take advantage of that and enjoy it. (10:09) There's a distinction going on between God's kingdom and Satan's kingdom. (10:14) God's kingdom is characterized by perfect happiness, perfect health, perfect wealth, perfect peace of mind. (10:23) Satan's kingdom is characterized by misery no matter what. (10:27) It is proven over and over again that money, power, all the things that people work hard for do not guarantee happiness. (10:38) All these people who have attained everything, money, mansion, power, fame, good looks, they come, the front page is telling us they're unhappy. (10:50) So I think this principle is very well established. (10:53) That money, power, fame, good looks do not guarantee happiness at all. (11:06) There's a statement in the Quran says that all happiness is in God's hands. (11:09) All dignity, happiness is in God's hands. (11:12) All of it. (11:17) And the same expression, Does this mean anything in Farsi? (11:25) All Izzat belongs is in God's hands. (11:28) And God decreed, made the law that He will give it only to the believers. (11:42) God controls everything, withholds, gives. (11:46) The more you thank me, the more I give you, God says. (11:49) What does this mean? (11:49) The more we are appreciative, the more God will give us. (11:55) If we are unappreciative, we lose everything. (12:00) Just make a point of thanking God every chance you get for everything you have. (12:08) Then God will give you more. Speaker 3 (12:09) What God has given you in return? Speaker 1 (12:29) Sure, you should help me thank God for whatever He gave you. (12:32) Thank God for your health, for getting your children. Speaker 5 (12:43) How much would it pay to have poor God next to you? (12:48) A million dollars, right? (12:51) I know of times when you're willing to pay a million dollars for this. (12:55) Who'd have took it to their hands? (12:57) Ha, ha, ha. Speaker 3 (13:02) Huh? Speaker 5 (13:03) Yes. Speaker 7 (13:09) God never sent us down. Speaker 5 (13:16) How's your back, Mehdi? Speaker 6 (13:18) See? Speaker 1 (13:23) Behrooz has been carrying furnaces for the last week. (13:27) He did it in Stockton and again in Tucson. (13:30) So, at the end of this session, inshallah, we'll read Al-Fatihah for him. (13:33) And tomorrow he wakes up good as new. Speaker 2 (13:36) Inshallah. (13:40) Ha, ha, ha. Speaker 1 (13:42) Just take the back pen and throw it away from here. (13:46) Inshallah. (13:51) Oh, no worries, enough disbelievers. (13:54) Plenty of them, don't worry. (13:59) Number nine says, Do they own the treasures of your Lord's mercy? (14:03) He is the Almighty, the Grantor. (14:05) But number eight, we didn't read yet. (14:07) Because they question God's wisdom about choosing his messengers. (14:12) Number eight, why did the message come down to him instead of us? (14:16) Indeed, they are doubtful of my message. (14:19) Indeed, they have not yet tested my retribution. (14:22) Do they own the treasures of your Lord's mercy? (14:24) He is the Almighty, the Grantor. (14:29) Do they possess the kingship of the heavens and the earth? (14:33) And everything between them? (14:35) Let them promote themselves. (14:38) Instead, whatever forces they can muster, even if all their parties banded together, will be defeated. (14:46) Look what's happening to communism. (14:50) God gave them forty years of communism to clean out the trinity, and then he let them loose. (14:59) Perfect plan. (15:01) Open up. (15:07) Wake up, Barbara. (15:10) Okay, I believe you. (15:18) How many years has East Europe been in communism? (15:24) Since 1945? Speaker 5 (15:29) Yeah, 44. Speaker 2 (15:34) So they do have been in communism. (15:41) Yeah, but the ideology does not break up. (15:46) It's just that they are fed up with the old guys. (15:48) They want to do away with the old guys. (15:53) Yes. (15:55) Who is now the chief of state? (16:01) Is he a communist? Speaker 1 (16:05) Would you say communism succeeded? Speaker 2 (16:11) Okay. Speaker 1 (16:37) I see. (16:38) So we have to conclude that communism is a success. (16:43) It's a great success. (16:49) I'm agreeing with you. (16:52) Number 11. (16:55) Instead, whatever forces they can muster will be defeated. (16:58) Number 12. (16:58) Disbelieving before them were the people of Noah, Aad, and the mighty Pharaoh. (17:03) Also Samud, the people of Lot, as well as of the woods, or Midian. (17:08) Those were the parties. (17:09) Each of them disbelieved the messengers, thus my retribution was inevitable. (17:14) These people can expect a single blow, from which they will never recover. (17:21) They challenged... (17:22) These people I understand to be the Arabs. (17:25) And one blow I understand to be an asteroid from space. (17:29) Inshallah. (17:32) Number 16. (17:32) They challenged our Lord, why do you not trust the retribution for us before the Day of Reckoning? (17:39) They challenged God. (17:40) This is it. (17:45) These are the two pages. (17:47) We leave the floor open for questions and discussion. Speaker 2 (17:53) What is this? Speaker 1 (17:55) The owners of the woods. Speaker 2 (17:57) Midian. Speaker 1 (17:58) Midian. (17:59) This is another name for Midian. (18:02) Which is now Gaza. (18:04) Gaza Strip. (18:07) That's what Midian is. Speaker 5 (18:13) No? (18:14) People of the woods. Speaker 2 (18:16) Forest. (18:16) Woods. Speaker 5 (18:18) What is Khashab? (18:20) Do you have Khashab in Farsi? (18:23) Khashab? (18:24) Wood. (18:25) What is wood? (18:27) Choub. Speaker 14 (18:28) Khashab. (18:29) Choub. (18:30) Khashab. (18:31) He knows. (18:37) Okay, folks. Speaker 1 (18:38) There is a new word in the Farsi language. (18:41) The new generation knows. (18:43) Choub? Speaker 5 (18:44) Choub. (18:45) Choub. (18:46) So the people of the Choub. Speaker 2 (18:48) People of the Choub. Speaker 3 (18:49) The woods. Speaker 2 (18:50) The woods. (18:50) Do you have anything? (18:52) Jungle. (18:53) Jungle. (18:53) Forest. Speaker 7 (18:55) Not necessarily, no. Speaker 2 (18:58) What is wood? (19:02) Carpenters. Speaker 5 (19:02) Yes. Speaker 2 (19:03) Oh. Speaker 1 (19:05) He does a lot of carpenting. Speaker 2 (19:07) Najar. (19:07) Can I say carpenters? Speaker 1 (19:08) Najar. Speaker 2 (19:09) Okay. Speaker 1 (19:10) Don't call Najar. (19:11) Just say whatever the Arabic says. (19:14) Because the people of the woods. Speaker 5 (19:32) We don't have to put our own interpretation. (19:34) Go ahead. Speaker 2 (19:34) It's funny. (19:36) When we say they get hit by a big missile. (19:41) When I was in Tunisia, when I was younger, I envied the Saudis. (19:47) Because they are the people who are very close to God. (19:52) That's a part of it. (19:57) Because at that time, believe me, you don't have to do Ramadan. (20:02) You don't have to do Ramadan. (20:04) You are envious of the other people. (20:06) You have to find out one is the worst of the other. Speaker 5 (20:09) Yes. Speaker 1 (20:11) You see, having this message creates a great responsibility. (20:17) It's a great privilege and a great responsibility. (20:20) Of course, God says that the Jews, for example, are His chosen people. (20:26) This is in the Quran a few times. Speaker 5 (20:28) So why are they suffering so much? (20:30) Why did Hisa kill so many of them? Speaker 1 (20:33) Why were they scattered all over the world? (20:36) Persecuted and discriminated against. (20:39) Because of their responsibility. (20:40) They received their scriptures. (20:41) They didn't follow it. (20:43) Now, the Arabs received the Quran, which is a lot more powerful. (20:49) It is the complete message. (20:51) Every page says God alone. (20:53) And they abandoned it. (20:54) And this is documented in the Quran, Surah 25. (20:58) They deserted the Quran. (21:00) You can imagine that their retribution would be a lot worse. (21:04) And it's inevitable. Speaker 12 (21:15) God says in the Quran, you never destroy a land. (21:25) It's a bad sign. Speaker 7 (21:30) Yes. (21:31) You can say that. (21:32) It's the same. (21:33) In Surah 17, God says, I will not send a retribution before I send a messenger. Speaker 1 (21:39) God made it a condition. (21:42) So all these miracles that are showing up, and the message, and the messengers, mean that there is a severe retribution coming. (21:50) So they just deliver it. Speaker 12 (21:56) No, there's no land. Speaker 1 (22:01) No, it's just that God left it blank. Speaker 7 (22:10) Let's look at Surah 17. (22:19) I don't know. Speaker 1 (22:38) I'm trying to find it. (22:42) I'm getting close. (23:07) 15? (23:18) Yeah, the end of 15. (23:26) It says, we never punish without first sending a messenger. (23:34) Because the messenger finds out, gives the choice to the people, and then they have to make a decision. (23:39) They have to make a decision. (23:41) They are held responsible for it. Speaker 7 (23:54) Yes, just like that. (23:57) Talk about this word. (24:05) What's the verse number? (24:14) I want to read it to you. (24:17) Go ahead. (24:19) So everybody can hear you. Speaker 2 (24:34) Verse 21. Speaker 1 (24:43) This is an incident where David was in a sanctuary, and these two people went in. (24:53) But the 99 chiefs, they were fighting over one chief. (25:03) Actually, there's a great lesson here, but I wonder why did you pick this out? (25:07) I've seen it before, actually. (25:09) Once before. (25:10) You don't know what it is? Speaker 6 (25:11) No. Speaker 1 (25:12) It's just two brothers. (25:16) One had 99 chiefs, and the other had one chief. (25:19) God wants to teach us a lesson about being very careful when you judge between the people. (25:28) They went to David to judge between them. (25:32) The fellow with the one chief said, I have one chief, and he has 99 chiefs, and he wants to take mine. (25:38) And he insists on it. (25:41) So obviously, the one with the 99 chiefs, David said, no, keep your chiefs. (25:46) Don't give it to the fellow. (25:47) He has 99 of them. (25:48) You have only one. (25:50) So if you give him your chiefs, he'll have none, and he will have a hundred. (25:53) Keep yours. (25:55) So even though this judgment is very clearly fair, David still thought maybe he did the unjust judgment, and he repented, and he was asking God for forgiveness and everything. (26:08) You can imagine how careful. (26:09) This was made David's David. (26:12) David is very special in the Quran. (26:15) One of the preferred by God prophets. (26:24) Right? (26:25) This is David's judgment. (26:27) He told the fellow with the one chief, keep your chiefs. (26:31) Don't give it to him. (26:33) Even though this is a very clear and extreme example of a good judgment, he said, maybe I did the wrong judgment. (26:43) And he was repenting and asking forgiveness. (26:48) Our presidents back home, they kill people. (26:51) They'll just say, keep your one chief, and he'll keep his 99. (26:54) They kill people, commit murder, and they steal billions of dollars. Speaker 8 (26:59) Maybe we'll just take another picture from the other one. Speaker 1 (27:03) Yes. Speaker 2 (27:07) No, he wanted it. Speaker 1 (27:25) Maybe he wanted to buy it. Speaker 6 (27:33) That's okay. Speaker 1 (27:34) They wanted to mix, but he doesn't want to. (27:38) The fellow with the one chief didn't want to do it. (27:43) That's not the point. Speaker 5 (27:50) Yes. Speaker 3 (27:53) You got it. (27:58) Yes, he waited. Speaker 1 (28:02) Yes. (28:04) He waited. (28:05) He waited, and he studied, and he did everything, and then he... (28:13) He was thinking of God. (28:16) Did he do the right judgment? Speaker 7 (28:24) Of course. (28:28) What would you do? Speaker 3 (28:32) I'm not in that situation. Speaker 1 (28:34) Well, you are now. (28:35) Somebody came to you and said, I have one chief, and my brother has 99 chiefs. (28:40) And he wants to take my one chief. (28:42) What would you do? (28:44) Would you tell him to give his chief to the other guy? Speaker 6 (29:02) Okay, but the... Speaker 1 (29:04) So this fellow without a chief, he would just sit there and do nothing. (29:08) At least he has one chief to care about. (29:09) He would take it in the morning to eat, and bring it in the afternoon. (29:14) It's his job. (29:53) Some affairs have to do with the end of the world. (29:59) Do not be jealous of what others... (30:11) To accept the Quran partially. Speaker 3 (30:19) I didn't say it was Muhammad. (30:23) They accepted Quran only partially. (30:26) There was no Quran. Speaker 1 (30:30) But you're making an assumption that it's not there. (30:33) I didn't say it was at the time of Muhammad. (30:36) I didn't say it was at the time of Muhammad. (30:40) I didn't say that. (30:42) Where did you get that? (30:47) Does it say in the translation that this is the time of Muhammad? (30:53) So you're making a wrong assumption, and then you're carrying on based on that. (31:05) Which happens quite often. (31:07) Sometimes we make a wrong assumption, and then we build on it. (31:10) And we keep going on and on. (31:12) So I'm stopping you before you go on and on. Speaker 7 (31:18) What is the footnote? Speaker 1 (31:47) It's applicable also at the time of Muhammad. (31:50) I'm leaving it as it is in the Quran. (31:54) I see what you mean. (31:55) In other words, at the time of the Prophet Muhammad, the Quran was not complete. (31:58) It was not in this form. (32:00) It has to be now. (32:03) I swear to you. (32:04) Sorry. Speaker 5 (32:11) Your chicken kitchen exists. (32:13) Sometimes it confuses us. Speaker 1 (32:41) He will not make it until after the judgment. (32:45) When all the people are called back, and then the bad ones will go to hell. (32:52) God doesn't want to do it now. (32:54) He wants to do it afterwards. (32:56) God created heaven. (32:58) The heavens and the earth are different from heaven, which is paradise. (33:02) God created the heavens and the earth in six days. (33:07) But heaven, or paradise, is different from heaven. (33:09) You see, the English language confuses us a little bit. (33:13) So there is the heavens and the earth, which were created in seven days, and there is paradise, which some people also call heaven. (33:20) And this is already in existence. (33:24) But hell will not be created until after the Day of Judgment. (33:29) On the Day of Judgment. (33:30) Good question. (33:34) See, the children, they pick up things. (33:36) You think they are sitting there oblivious? (33:39) You think this guy is oblivious, but he is observing everything. (33:42) Right, Hanan? Speaker 2 (33:51) I'm curious to sing again. (33:53) In any case, because you said, sing in the praise of your Lord. (33:57) Is that singing like an English song? Speaker 1 (33:59) No, no. (34:00) It's an English expression, meaning praise God all the time. (34:06) If you want to do it, do it outside of here. (34:16) But money can put up with that. Speaker 6 (34:20) Does he sing a lot? (34:21) Not even in the shower? Speaker 3 (34:37) Magic. Speaker 7 (34:41) Witchcraft. Speaker 3 (34:50) No. Speaker 1 (34:53) God says it only brings harm, no good. (35:03) It should not be abused. (35:06) I don't know. (35:07) I have to think about it. (35:09) But it's a statement. (35:12) Abusing the jinn. (35:27) You see, if it's something good, it should be temporary. (35:31) Like the psychic who tries to stop the saints, remember? (35:35) It works for him for a while, but then, at the crucial time, the jinn says, bye. (35:50) Usually it's in the bad way. (35:53) We have to stay away from the jinn. Speaker 3 (36:02) Right. Speaker 1 (36:05) It could never have anything to do with jinn. (36:11) Yes, invariably, yes. (36:15) Invariably, it takes them away from God. (36:21) God is the one who put them in his service. (36:25) God says, I committed the jinn to serve Solomon. (36:29) Not only the jinn. (36:30) The jinn, the birds. (36:34) Who? (36:35) Karim? (36:37) Karim. Speaker 15 (36:42) You are. Speaker 1 (36:49) You've become a good one. (36:51) You're confessing him right now by reading the Quran. (36:57) When you read the Quran and think about it, our jinn is also reading the Quran at the same time and thinking about it. (37:06) And your jinn will tell you, don't pray, don't believe death. (37:14) Why go through all the trouble? (37:16) This is his job. (37:19) And you tell him, no, I'm going to pray five times a day, because I want to be happy all my life. (37:24) I'm going to follow this, because this guarantees me victory and happiness. (37:29) And he tells you, oh, forget it. (37:30) This is all nonsense. (37:32) So you continue to debate like this until you convert him, inshallah. (37:39) Then you become friends. (37:41) Become identical. (37:59) The jinn will whisper to you. (38:10) The jinn is telling you to sleep. (38:16) This is all of us. (38:17) Our jinn is always telling us not to worship God alone. (38:28) There will be a time when, like Karim said, there will be a time when he's completely converted. (38:33) As a matter of fact, he can be ahead of you. (38:36) Tomorrow, he's going to be here for the khutbah, Friday prayer. (38:40) Yes, inshallah. (38:42) So you're going to hear an example of a jinn that is cooperating with you. (38:59) Sometimes the jinn will be ahead of you. (39:02) And the Quran, we were reading yesterday, or the day before yesterday, how God matches your companion, matches the companion of the jinn, and the human companions are matched. (39:13) So if you're destined to believe, God matches a believing jinn with you, who is also destined to believe. (39:21) A person who is destined to disbelieve, God will match a disbelieving companion. (39:26) Which makes sense. (39:33) No, this is simply observation. (39:36) They noticed that if the sun is in the zodiac, and another is in that, something happens on earth. (39:43) They noticed that the people who are born under a certain sign have certain characteristics, so they made notes. (39:49) And they compiled them and computerized them. (39:52) Then if you tell me that you're a Libra, I can tell you what your characteristics are. (39:57) You're most susceptible to colds and things like that. (40:04) It's just observation. (40:06) It's a compilation, but it has a long way to go. (40:29) We cannot see the jinn, but I guess some manifestations of the jinn, people will think they're ghosts. (40:59) God gives the jinn a longer life, and more ability to fly in the universe, and study God's signs. (41:09) But the humans are given 7.172. 7.172 again. (41:24) No, because they already made up their minds very strongly that Satan is right. (41:35) Here God gathered the children of Adam, not the children of Satan. (41:39) Not the jinn. Speaker 6 (41:54) Not really, no. Speaker 1 (41:55) It's just that there's a different allegorical heaven for them. (42:08) Let's compare you with a tree. (42:12) You and a tree. (42:13) You think of yourself as two creatures. (42:16) And I'm saying when I put you and the tree, I'm going to put you both in heaven, I'm going to give you steak, I'm going to give you potatoes, and rice, and fruit. (42:27) Do you think the tree will go for that? (42:35) Do you understand what I said? (42:40) No, you are a creature, and the tree is a creature. (42:44) And I'm telling you, I'm going to put you both in heaven, where you can eat steak every day. (42:51) Know what? (42:55) Right. (42:58) So the humans and the jinns are two different creatures. (43:03) And God is telling us, I'm going to put you in gardens with grapes, and pomegranates, and fruits. (43:09) The jinns don't care about that. (43:13) So God is telling them that you're going to have your own heaven, which is a different thing. (43:20) Right. (43:20) Actually, it's going to be the same heaven. Speaker 7 (43:33) This is fifty-five, six. Speaker 5 (43:41) You like it first. Speaker 1 (44:07) Well, it's my sleeping time, brothers and sisters, so I'm going to retire, and see you in the morning. (44:14) I got up at what time? (44:22) It was one o'clock. Speaker 3 (44:26) Are you working? (44:28) Yes. Speaker 1 (44:29) Well, I left home at one, so I got here about twenty after one. (44:34) That's why people laugh at me when I say it's my sleeping time. (44:39) It's chicken sleeping time. (44:56) Fifty. (44:57) If something good happens to you, they hurt. (45:00) And if an affliction befalls you, they say, we told you so. (45:04) As they turn away, resorting. (45:07) These are all descriptions of the hypocrites. (45:09) Saying, nothing happens to us, whether we're submitters or objectors. (45:14) So God is telling us in fifty-one, say nothing happens to us except what God has decreed for us. (45:21) And we have to accept it or object to it. (45:27) The submitter accepts whatever happens, cheerfully. (45:31) Underline, cheerfully. (45:32) Nineteen lines. (45:34) Under cheerfully. (45:41) In God, a believer shall trust. (45:43) In other words, if you're a believer, you must trust that God will take care of you. (45:47) God guarantees it for you. (45:50) And if something appears to be bad, you must know there's some good reason for it. (45:58) Fifty-two. (45:59) Say, you can only expect for us one of two good things in war, victory or martyrdom. (46:08) What do we expect for you? (46:10) Condemnation from God and retribution from Him at our hands or at our hands. (46:15) Therefore wait, and we will wait along with you. (46:19) Say, spend willingly or unwillingly. (46:22) Nothing will be accepted from you, for you are evil people. (46:27) Rejectors of God's Messenger observe the Salat prayers. (46:32) What prevented the acceptance of their spending is that they disbelieved in God and His Messenger and when they observed the contact prayers, Salat, they observed them lazily. (46:45) And when they gave to charity, they did so grudgingly. (46:49) This is an important verse you should remember. (46:51) It's 954. (46:52) Remember it. (46:53) When the people tell you they think that life began with Muhammad. (46:58) They think there was no Salat before the Prophet Muhammad. (47:02) You should remember this verse. (47:04) These are people who rejected the Prophet they disbelieved in God but they were doing the five contact prayers. (47:09) The word Salat is very specific because Salat existed before the Prophet. (47:15) Just at the time they had been corrupted by idol worship. (47:25) Same thing today. (47:27) 954. (47:29) This is another proof that the contact prayers did not exist before the Prophet Muhammad. (47:52) Yes. (47:53) This is a good point because this this verse was revealed probably less than a year before the Prophet's death. (48:01) And this is my chance to give a public apology to Zohra because I misunderstood her question yesterday. (48:09) She was saying that the verses at the end of Surah 15 about people who accept the Quran partially could not possibly be applicable to the time of the Prophet because the Quran itself was being revealed. (48:24) It was not in existence really. (48:26) Even when the Prophet died he left the Quran in the chronological sequence with instructions on the side. (48:33) It was it was not organized before into a Quran. (48:38) Now we have the Quran. (48:39) This is the Quran the format that God wants. (48:42) And it did not exist until 20 years after the Prophet's death. (48:47) He tried to put it together. Speaker 3 (48:50) I thought it is very it is only one verse but it is very very strong. (48:55) The verses proclaim to whom proclaim the messenger he both proclaim that I am messenger and after that he was very strong. (49:07) Just one one verse is enough to know that after Muhammad is the messenger coming. Speaker 1 (49:17) 196 at the top the 55 says do not be impressed by their money or their children. (49:30) God turns these into means of retribution for them in this life. (49:35) And their souls depart while they are disbelievers. (49:39) This is a common thing that you may come across. (49:42) Look at those people they are not believers but they are happy and rich and this and that. (49:46) But they are not happy you have to take that word out. (49:49) God says he would cause the money and the children to be the source of misery for them. (49:59) Then after all this misery they leave the world as disbelievers. (50:06) 56 they swear by God that they belong with you while they do not belong with you. (50:13) They are divisive people they will create division they will create confusion because the serpents will come out of their mouths and get disbelief. (50:25) If they could find any refuge or caves or a hiding place they would go to Russia. (50:30) Some of them criticize your distribution of your charities. (50:35) If they are given therefrom they become satisfied. (50:40) But if they are not given therefrom they become objectified. (50:45) They should be satisfied with what God and his messenger have given them. (50:49) They should have said God suffices us God will provide for us from his bounties through his messages. (50:56) We are seeking only God. (50:59) And here is the distribution system for charities other than the cat. (51:04) It also applies to the cat. (51:08) Charities shall go to the poor. (51:11) So in the cat it is your parents first. (51:14) You have to be poor. (51:16) If they are not poor then you go to the next line which is relatives cousins aunts nephews nieces until sixty You have to be aware as we grow just because we are all here in the same room doesn't mean you have to be careful to what you listen. (54:20) This is a test for all of us. (54:24) Exactly. (54:27) It could be very very loving friendly people and you know they are with us and then they stab you. (54:41) Yes. (54:42) In fact we have many examples of this. (54:44) There are people who are with us and very strong who become very close and very friendly but now we know they are not believing. (54:52) Because things are happening progressively and there is a drop out point for some people. (54:58) So even though they believe when the messengership point came for example they couldn't take it. (55:05) But they continue to come with us and come to the meeting. (55:10) You know a few of those, OK. (55:13) We'll have five minutes of discussion. Speaker 12 (55:18) Charity. Speaker 1 (55:26) Charity is something that's almost fun. (55:29) The escort comes and destroys San Francisco and the people in the street are hungry and you don't even know the names. (55:36) You help them. (55:40) Right. (55:42) Of course it's limited by your means and by not being too extravagant. (55:46) Go ahead. (56:13) Yes. (56:13) Give the guest to the relative. (56:16) Unless he's fighting you. (56:18) He's just disbelieving. (56:19) He hasn't made a decision. (56:20) He doesn't know but he's not fighting you actively. (56:24) Then you have to give the guest to the relative. (56:28) Because your cousin who is not fighting you maybe next week you read the Quran and discover God and become better than you and me. (56:38) Right. (56:39) And maybe when you help him this will cause him to believe. (56:43) Say, wow, this is a good system. (56:45) Those believers are charitable. (56:48) So God tells us to consider them potential believers. Speaker 2 (56:54) Charity begins with the people who like, I think everybody is supposed to get the message. (57:12) Where is our duty according to, like, that we know the person gets the message and we give it to him. (57:28) It's still our duty to go out to those. Speaker 1 (57:35) We get the message from another source? (57:41) Oh, I see. (57:44) What if the circumstances come up or we're supposed to give the message? (57:50) God will create the circumstances for us to deliver the message. (57:56) But we must strive. (57:58) We need to strive. (57:59) We need to do something. (58:05) As it is, the majority of people believe in God alone, worship the Quran alone, worship God alone. (58:12) That's it. (58:13) They're believers. (58:14) They're good. (58:16) They're going to heaven. (58:17) But they are not the same as people who strive for just a flame. (58:24) Hey, look who's here. (58:26) The turners are here. (58:28) Come on in. (58:29) Come on in. (58:32) Masha'Allah. Speaker 8 (58:33) It's not very comfortable in here. Speaker 1 (58:46) You left your Umayyah home? (58:54) She's asleep here too, Oh, okay. (58:57) I don't have to. (59:12) No. Speaker 3 (59:13) Okay, she's a believer and I don't care. Speaker 1 (59:21) If in your mind you don't care if she keeps the money and you never get it back, then it's okay. (59:32) But if you want it to be repaid, God tells us to write it down so you don't forget how much you gave her and she doesn't forget how much you gave her. (59:41) But if you don't care, if she ever pays it, then it's okay. (59:48) You write it down and you expect it to be paid back because I'm telling you, you'll forget. (59:55) You may give her $500 and then after a month you will be absolutely positive that you gave her a thousand. (1:00:02) Sometimes Satan will cheat you. (1:00:12) The person who's giving it is in control. (1:00:15) The person who's taking the loan is the one who dictates the terms. (1:00:22) Write down. (1:00:24) Write down the receipt. (1:00:28) I received $500 from Roxana and I promised to pay $50 a month starting in February and finish the payment on Saturday. (1:00:40) God gives us the details of what to write because it will be written in the hand of the borrower. (1:00:48) And then you have two witnesses. (1:00:51) This way there will be no confusion at all. (1:00:53) I mean this came down at an edge where there were no accountants. Speaker 2 (1:00:58) The person who's giving the loan is The person who's the loan is control. Speaker 1 (1:01:28) person who's loan is in The person who's giving money. (1:01:33) is a the community of believers. (1:01:40) We are living the Quran. (1:01:52) So what is your first question? (1:02:03) We are talking about believers who believe in God, but that is extent of it. (1:02:13) They're good people, they're going to heaven, but they're not at the same rank as far as God is concerned, like the people who strive. (1:02:27) Yeah, right, you have to see your own circumstances and how it is working. (1:02:32) But God says, ... (1:02:42) God raises the strivers. (1:02:49) I don't push, it comes from the people themselves. (1:02:53) ... Speaker 10 (1:02:58) Yeah, you want to see to it that the message is delivered in the best possible and the most effective manner. Speaker 1 (1:03:12) It all depends on the circumstances. (1:03:15) Again, ... (1:03:18) Invite to the path of God with wisdom and great diplomacy. (1:03:23) You want to do it, so you don't chase them away, and you don't, keep the door open. (1:03:28) If they are not going to believe now, you keep the door open for them. (1:03:33) So you're right, yeah. (1:03:39) Was it good? (1:03:40) Good. (1:03:40) ... Speaker 2 (1:03:44) ... (1:03:50) ... (1:03:50) ... (1:03:54) ... (1:03:57) ... (1:04:00) ... (1:04:03) ... (1:04:09) ... Speaker 1 (1:04:28) But there is a point where God asks us to give up on them. (1:04:35) There's a question in surah 15, it says, is it not time for the believers to give up on the disbelievers and realize that God guides whomever he wills? (1:04:46) Usually they catch it like that, Rajul, don't they? (1:04:50) If somebody is going to believe, they catch it, they see it. (1:04:54) You can tell if they are blind and deaf, if there is a concrete wall around them, or if they are wide open to the message. (1:05:05) I don't know, it's been rare to see somebody who is completely blocked and then all of a sudden you could see him. (1:05:13) What do you say, Susan, go to work. (1:05:17) I think very much finished cooking, so you can have some breakfast. (1:05:24) Do you want to go with them? (1:05:28) Susan wants a cup of breakfast with some rice. (1:05:33) Do you want to bring the kids now? (1:05:37) ... (1:05:38) ... (1:05:40) ... (1:05:40) ... (1:05:41) ... (1:05:42) ... (1:05:45) ... (1:05:49) ... Speaker 8 (1:05:52) ... Speaker 1 (1:05:56) ... (1:05:56) ... Speaker 6 (1:05:57) ... Speaker 1 (1:06:04) ... Speaker 6 (1:06:05) A'udhu Billahi Minash Shaitanir Rajeem. Speaker 1 (1:06:12) Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem. Speaker 6 (1:06:13) God alone. Speaker 1 (1:06:16) Verse 11 says, Say, I have been commanded to worship God, devoting the religion absolutely to Him alone. (1:06:24) And I was commanded to be the utmost submitter. (1:06:29) Say, I fear, if I disobeyed my Lord, the retribution of a great day. (1:06:38) Say, God is the only One I worship, devoting my religion absolutely to Him alone. (1:06:45) These are all commandments from God to you. (1:06:52) I'm going to read them again, starting at 11. (1:06:55) God is telling you to say, I have been commanded to worship God, devoting the religion absolutely to Him alone. (1:07:02) There is no room for Jesus or Moses or Muhammad or the saints. Speaker 6 (1:07:09) And I was commanded to be the utmost submitter. Speaker 1 (1:07:15) The utmost submitter never complains. (1:07:20) That's a sign of submitter or not. (1:07:23) The utmost submitter is content with whatever God gives us and understands. (1:07:30) 13, Say, I fear, if I disobeyed my Lord, the retribution of a great day. (1:07:37) Submitters also realize that everything has a price. (1:07:43) And this is now after passing all the tests. (1:07:46) You've passed your final test, you're in good shape, then you cannot deviate outside the path that God drew for you. (1:07:55) Because if you deviate, it's very expensive. (1:07:59) It seems out of proportion, but really it is not. (1:08:05) When I got pinched in the past, I'd say, wow, this is too much. (1:08:08) I didn't do that bad. (1:08:10) And then I would come back, yes, this is it. (1:08:13) He didn't do too bad, but this is the price for it. (1:08:18) The pinch is always way out of proportion, it seems. (1:08:24) I guess because somehow we grew up with the notion that God is forgiving, merciful, which is true. (1:08:30) But we tend to abuse this. (1:08:39) God wants to make you perfect. (1:08:43) And the system that I have noticed personally, and maybe you too, is that God will take one of your defects at a time. (1:08:53) And he will keep after you until you get rid of that defect. (1:08:57) Then he will start another one, until you're cleansed out of that one. (1:09:02) The end result is a perfect human being, if there is such a thing. (1:09:07) You'll be following God's commandments perfectly, and you'll be a perfect human being. (1:09:18) So the utmost submitter understands all these things. (1:09:25) Remember that the utmost submitter has a perfect life. (1:09:30) The only reason you have a headache is because of something you have done. (1:09:36) I don't think there are any exceptions to that. (1:09:38) There are no exceptions. (1:09:40) You don't get a scratch or a headache without something you have done. (1:09:45) So it behooves you to find out what it is that you have done. (1:09:49) Don't defend yourself either. (1:09:53) I used to laugh when I said to some people, what did you do wrong? (1:09:56) I said, I didn't do anything wrong, you know, you've become on the defensive. (1:09:59) I said, hey, wait a minute, you're supposed to join me in attacking your quote-unquote self and find out what you did wrong. (1:10:07) They become very defensive. (1:10:10) But we're supposed to do this ourselves. (1:10:12) We have to find out what did I do wrong. (1:10:16) But if I'm too egotistic to pinpoint what I did wrong, then I just go on. (1:10:21) Because the punishment will continue until you know what it is. (1:10:25) When you know what it is and you repent, it never happens again. (1:10:29) The problem is solved. (1:10:33) So an utmost submissive means no problems of any kind. (1:10:45) It's almost unbelievable. (1:10:48) But you see, God taught us repeatedly. (1:10:50) God used me as a happy guinea pig. (1:10:58) I mean, I put myself in situations where a problem should have happened. (1:11:04) But it wasn't the cause of God, so a problem didn't happen. (1:11:07) And the reason I'm saying this is because Ihsan is sitting here and she expected a big problem. (1:11:15) I was busy with this translation and I slept here three nights in a row. (1:11:20) I didn't go home for three days. (1:11:24) And then the answering machine, the telephone rang, the answering machine came on, my wife was on the phone. (1:11:29) This is definitely, so Ihsan started to run away. (1:11:32) She said, this is it, she's going to divorce you, you're finished. (1:11:35) This is it, a big fight. (1:11:39) So as she was approaching this door here to run away, she heard her say, I made a batch of Italian cookies, they were so delicious, I'm sorry we finished all of them, so I'm going to make you another batch. (1:11:51) She couldn't believe it. (1:11:52) Until now she can't believe it. (1:11:56) But this is, God manipulates the minds and the hearts of the people. (1:12:01) In fact, this happened again three or four weeks ago. (1:12:05) A few days ago, this visit. (1:12:08) I slept here two nights in a row. (1:12:13) And she called, what did she say this time? Speaker 8 (1:12:18) What did she want? (1:12:21) No, say it again, what did she want? Speaker 1 (1:12:24) I want to chat. (1:12:25) I forget what she wanted, but it was peaceful. Speaker 8 (1:12:27) She was also running away. Speaker 1 (1:12:31) Oh yes, yes, yes. (1:12:32) She said, I'm the happiest person in the world. (1:12:33) I said, what? (1:12:36) I was insulted. Speaker 6 (1:12:40) Hey, wait a minute. Speaker 1 (1:12:42) Honest, this is what she said, yes, I remember now. (1:12:44) She said, I'm the happiest person in the world. (1:12:46) I said, what happened? (1:12:47) She said, I found the car I've been looking for, for a long time. (1:12:51) I'm like a baby, I'm like a child who found a toy. (1:12:54) This is exactly what she said. (1:12:55) She's been looking for a car. Speaker 8 (1:12:57) She's been looking for a car. Speaker 1 (1:13:03) I mean, this is a situation that warrants a problem, right? (1:13:06) With most people. (1:13:08) Where have you been? (1:13:11) You're a half hour late. (1:13:15) If you left your office at 2.30, you should have been here at 3 o'clock. (1:13:19) It's 4 o'clock now. (1:13:23) So, what I'm saying is that God's mercy and grace allowed us to learn from experience. (1:13:29) We really have a track record. (1:13:34) It is a dipstick not comfortable with my statement. (1:13:37) Because he has to go through what I went through. (1:13:40) When I make a blanket statement, a believer has a perfect life. (1:13:44) No problems, no headaches, no traffic tickets. (1:13:47) He always says, what if we grow and we have a lot of people and problems happen? (1:13:52) They don't happen, God can handle them. (1:13:57) God's law is absolute. (1:14:00) Let me just read it with you again. (1:14:02) Because I wanted to pass this on to the people. (1:14:06) Let's look at 1062 or 1162. (1:14:09) What is it? (1:14:15) Page 216. (1:14:20) I think people appreciate that because the Arabic is so powerful and he knows it. (1:14:23) He knows the Arabic. (1:14:25) The top of page 216 says, Absolutely, God's allies have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve. (1:14:35) In Arabic, Very strong Arabic. (1:14:40) Absolutely, I tried to bring it to the English as close as possible. (1:14:44) God's allies have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve. (1:14:47) The next verse identifies who are they. (1:14:51) They are those who believe and lead a righteous life. (1:14:53) That's it. (1:14:55) If you believe and lead a righteous life, you have nothing to fear, nor will you grieve. (1:15:05) Why are you peeking through the crack? (1:15:11) Come on in. (1:15:12) Is it okay? (1:15:12) Okay, what? (1:15:16) Sure. (1:15:21) That's fantastic. (1:15:27) Number 64 says, For them, joy in this world. (1:15:31) We don't have to die first before we enjoy heaven. (1:15:35) It happens here. (1:15:37) For them, joy in this world and the hereafter. (1:15:39) This is God's unchangeable decree. (1:15:42) Such is the greatest triumph. (1:15:48) So this is it. (1:15:51) God's law. (1:15:53) You have to realize that there is an admission test. (1:15:59) And the admission test is very exacting. (1:16:03) Very exacting. (1:16:06) It's usually in the first five years after you claim that you've come to worship God alone. (1:16:13) Doesn't mean it will last five years. (1:16:14) Don't be scared. (1:16:15) It comes within that. (1:16:17) If you're proven to be a total submissive completely in the first month, then it is over. (1:16:24) But you must realize it happens, and all the while you're in God's hand. (1:16:29) The test is very tough. (1:16:31) Where is Mahmoud? (1:16:36) Did he leave? (1:16:38) He took his carburetor. (1:16:40) Mahmoud is undergoing a test like this. (1:16:42) He temporarily lost his wife, his kids, his cars, his computer. (1:16:46) And he's very cheerful, as you see. (1:16:48) It's all temporary. (1:16:52) Everything will be restored twice as much. (1:16:56) He knows that. (1:16:58) He's a good believer. (1:17:00) And we know that. (1:17:02) But what I want to say is that when you have a problem, you must understand the root of the problem. (1:17:07) What is it? (1:17:08) Why am I having this problem? (1:17:10) If you're not in the admission test, then you did something wrong. (1:17:15) Admission test, simply, you say that you're going to worship God alone, and Satan says otherwise. (1:17:22) No, Behrouz doesn't mean it. (1:17:23) He's just saying that. (1:17:25) And God tells him, OK, you can go and beat him up, but within the limit. (1:17:30) You cannot do this and this to him. (1:17:32) So Satan starts from Behrouz, beats him up, gives him back a few other problems. (1:17:39) But it doesn't faze Behrouz. (1:17:40) He continues to worship God alone. (1:17:42) Then he's proven to be worshiping God alone. (1:17:45) Then all the blessings open up. (1:17:48) Just watch. Speaker 4 (1:17:52) You have cold and fever now? Speaker 1 (1:17:58) Oh, well, this is part of the fun of traveling. (1:18:00) You know? (1:18:12) The only thing wrong I can think of that you did may be feeling sympathy for the people who, out of ignorance, were idolizing Muhammad and Ibrahim and so on. Speaker 4 (1:18:23) Which is... (1:18:24) I still feel that they're not idolizing the same people I feel that they worship God alone. Speaker 1 (1:18:30) Yes. (1:18:36) Well, the judgment is in God's hand. (1:18:38) But I don't think... (1:18:41) I think your cold and fever will go away as soon as you're convinced that that was wrong to do that. (1:18:53) Just a little reminder from God to us to make everything right. (1:18:59) But this is a common... (1:19:00) By the way, this is a common thing that I went through and everybody goes through. (1:19:04) That we feel for our grandparents and so on. (1:19:07) They were all nice people. (1:19:09) We loved them very much. (1:19:10) And our wishful thinking tells us maybe they didn't know or their intentions were good. Speaker 4 (1:19:19) Yeah, but see, they had the Quran. Speaker 1 (1:19:24) They had the message there. Speaker 4 (1:19:25) Okay, Lisa, you better get going. (1:19:26) We don't believe in one God. Speaker 1 (1:19:33) Yeah, but you see, if they deserved better, God would have seen to it that they received the correction. Speaker 4 (1:19:41) Because exactly it's like my father would say, like, and God will give him heaven in this world. (1:19:50) And not only a happy person, I will be a very, very lucky one. Speaker 1 (1:19:58) Yes, but this is fine, but you cannot generalize it to the population. (1:20:04) If you know a person personally and you see very well that he is worthy of heaven, he probably did go to heaven. (1:20:11) Probably God understood his situation. (1:20:13) I'm sure, not probably, I'm sure God understood his situation. (1:20:15) But we cannot generalize this and we cannot sympathize with that for our own good. (1:20:20) Because if I say maybe these people have good intentions and we defend them, Satan will capitalize on that. (1:20:28) You see, he or she is depending on the eyes of the Lord. Speaker 11 (1:20:34) But you said yesterday that you had a question in the Quran about the test of the first covenant. Speaker 1 (1:20:42) Yes, the test of the first covenant. (1:20:42) I'm glad you knew that. (1:20:45) This is a good example, actually. (1:20:49) My saline point nine percent, this is exactly the connection. (1:20:57) And it's wonderful to know that. (1:20:58) Because you probably never again question the wisdom of the Prophet. Speaker 4 (1:21:02) I didn't mean to, but the way I sounded, I probably... Speaker 1 (1:21:05) Yes, exactly. (1:21:06) It is the way it sounds. (1:21:08) See, Mrs. Amirali was perfectly innocent when she was talking about those past generations, but Satan will take that innocent statement and will make a big mountain out of it. (1:21:17) He will actually say, she is defending the idol worshippers. (1:21:22) And there is a law in the Quran that says you do not defend idol worshippers, even if they were your parents, and so on. (1:21:30) Remember, he is a liar. (1:21:31) Satan is a liar. (1:21:33) And if we don't word our statements carefully, especially when we are touching on the issue of idol worship, he will take that and will capitalize. (1:21:42) If I say the slightest thing in defense, away from God, this is why I don't compromise. (1:21:47) When they ask me about white lies and little insurance and things, I don't compromise. (1:21:53) Because if I say anything that is a little, just slightly away from God's law, Satan will capitalize on it. (1:22:00) If I say, see, he doesn't follow your law, then I will get smashed on the head. (1:22:06) Because God invariably calls Satan's excuses. (1:22:11) And he says, okay, go test him. (1:22:15) Because God puts limits on him. (1:22:17) When he sends him to test you, he puts limits on you. (1:22:20) You see, you can give her a cold and fever, but that's about it. (1:22:22) You cannot give her a headache, for example. (1:22:31) We need to understand this mechanism. (1:22:34) We believe in God, God told us there is Satan, and we need to understand what does Satan do. (1:22:39) We read the other day, some of you were here, some were not, that Satan will come from your right, your left, from your right, left, front and back. (1:22:48) He will come to you from every direction. (1:22:50) And he will exactly catch those sentences that may be misunderstood to mean that you are defending the idol worshippers or deviating from God's law. (1:23:02) And he will say, this person, he will lie. (1:23:08) But he will use your words. (1:23:10) So we don't want to give him a chance to do that. (1:23:13) Like Roxana said, she didn't mean to question God's wisdom, she was just discussing the thing intellectually. (1:23:18) But it sounded like, if I didn't know her, I would think she was questioning God's wisdom. (1:23:22) Why didn't God prohibit first cousins? (1:23:26) Why are the Christians wiser than God, for example, in prohibiting first cousins marriages? (1:23:31) Satan will do that. (1:23:32) Satan will say, Roxana means that you are not as wise as the Christians. Speaker 3 (1:23:40) I think it takes a while before she realizes that every letter of the Quran has to be followed, otherwise she makes mistakes. Speaker 1 (1:23:48) Yes, exactly. (1:23:49) It takes a while. (1:23:49) It takes a while. (1:23:53) Where is Martha? (1:23:56) Martha? (1:23:58) No jumping, honey. (1:23:59) Sit down, sit down. (1:24:01) Don't jump. (1:24:04) Shut the door. (1:24:08) Oh, are you there? (1:24:10) Are you afraid? (1:24:11) Okay. (1:24:12) I just want to keep the kids under control, because they are jumping now. (1:24:32) Mrs. Amir Ali is not supposed to have a headache, or cold, or flu, or anything like that. (1:24:46) I think also we have to realize the limitations of our bodies, I guess. (1:24:52) No, I don't want to compromise with that. Speaker 6 (1:24:53) No, no. Speaker 2 (1:24:56) My problem is... Speaker 1 (1:24:57) I just remembered... Speaker 2 (1:24:59) My back problem is my test. (1:25:02) I knew that I'm not supposed to pick up the kids. (1:25:05) Yes. (1:25:05) But the problem is in four days I didn't have any kids. (1:25:09) And I was... Speaker 1 (1:25:11) That's part of the test. (1:25:12) You took many kids. Speaker 2 (1:25:14) Yes. Speaker 1 (1:25:15) You loved them so much that you said, I'm going to take you back. Speaker 2 (1:25:18) I don't know if he's going to love me this much. Speaker 1 (1:25:20) Because it's his anniversary. (1:25:24) God will love you and will remove. (1:25:26) God loves you and will remove it, inshallah. (1:25:32) The reason I said I stopped in the middle of the sentence, we have to realize the limitations of our bodies. (1:25:37) I'm going to say alhamdulillah, mashallah, subhanallah, and all these, because you can brag when you say that. (1:25:43) If you give God the credit, you can brag about it. (1:25:46) Brother Abdul Hayy was here, and he came and looked at my computer, my chair. (1:25:51) And he said, you're supposed to have a terrible backache. (1:25:53) Because I'm sitting at the computer an average ten hours a day. (1:25:57) He said, this computer is too high or too low. (1:26:00) The chair is this and that. (1:26:01) He said, do you have back problems? (1:26:02) I said, no. (1:26:04) He said, you're supposed to. (1:26:06) So this is what I mean by even the body limitations, God will heal you somehow. (1:26:14) You're in your admission test, so don't complain. (1:26:18) You're not complaining, alhamdulillah. Speaker 9 (1:26:19) He says the sentences that you say, Mashallah. (1:26:33) No. Speaker 1 (1:26:38) He doesn't know what's in your mind. (1:26:42) Right. (1:26:43) Shaytan and even the angels do not know what's in your mind. (1:26:47) But, but, there's a big but. (1:26:50) God knows what's in your mind. (1:26:53) You see, this is at the end of surah 2. (1:26:55) God is the only one who knows what's in your innermost thoughts. (1:26:58) Not only he knows what's in your mind, he knows what's in your mind ten years from now. (1:27:03) That's in surah 20. (1:27:05) God knows, he knows what is more secret than the secret. (1:27:09) So what's more secret than the secret? (1:27:11) The future secret. (1:27:15) So shaytan doesn't know what's in your mind, but God does. (1:27:19) And God says, do not have anything wrong inside your mind. (1:27:25) Go ahead. Speaker 13 (1:27:30) Even thoughts that come into your mind, shaytan doesn't put them there. Speaker 1 (1:27:34) Your companion does. (1:27:37) Your companion is in there. (1:27:39) And your companion puts those thoughts. (1:27:41) And it is your job to sift through them. (1:27:44) And if it's, in fact, remember the verse that says, The believers, when a whisper from the devil comes to them, they sift it using God. (1:27:54) Your companion is your devil. (1:27:58) And it's your job to counter those bad thoughts. (1:28:04) He will ask you to do all kinds of bad things. (1:28:07) To lie, cheat, lose your temper. (1:28:13) Does this mean that Batool loses her temper? (1:28:14) No. (1:28:15) No way. (1:28:17) Don't look at her like that. (1:28:25) Are you telling me that Princess Batool loses her temper? (1:28:28) No. (1:28:30) With two kids like that? Speaker 8 (1:28:40) He is shaytan. Speaker 1 (1:28:41) He represents shaytan. (1:28:43) He already has his built-in natural instinct to tell you not to pray, not to worship God alone, not to be honest, etc., etc. (1:28:51) It's already, that's his nature. (1:28:59) That's his seed. (1:29:00) That's his seed. (1:29:02) And it's inside your brain. (1:29:04) So this is the only access he has to your brain. (1:29:08) But it's your job and my job to convert this seed of shaytan into a God-worshipping jinn. (1:29:20) See, he is reading the Quran now, as you are reading. (1:29:22) She is reading the Quran now, excuse me. (1:29:25) As you read the Quran, she too is reading the Quran. (1:29:28) And she is thinking about it. (1:29:29) You convinced her. (1:29:31) Yes. (1:29:32) Now you are together. (1:29:35) She tried her best to keep you from doing this. (1:29:37) But you won and you brought her.
