24) Quran Study: Surah 55, 56:10-61
Study From Behrouz 1424, Sura 55 By Lori Al-fatiha, Sura 56 By Naghmeh
Speaker 1 (0:03) We seek refuge in God from Satan, in the name of God most gracious most merciful. (0:12) Tonight we're starting at surah 54, 55, excuse me, and our teacher tonight will be Laurie, right? (0:23) But before we start, I want to make some corrections in my khutbah today. (0:28) I make some boo-boos sometimes. (0:31) Sometimes I say things that appear to be not very tactful. (0:36) For example, we have here a great team of cake bringers, cake makers. (0:42) And when I asked, and Rahima's turn, Laurie's turn, I said the best. (0:49) So they're all great makers of cakes, bringers of cakes. (0:53) And this appears not to be tactful, but I have to explain to you that each believer is the best. (1:01) So when I say the best, I'm referring to every single one of them. (1:07) Because we're all, I hope I don't make it worse. (1:12) But honest, because you people are so special that every one of you is the best. (1:18) And when I say that, I just want to pay you the highest possible compliment without infringing on the others' properties. (1:30) Because they are the best, each one of them. (1:43) Did I describe your cake as the best when you brought it in? (1:49) Now how do I get out of this one? Speaker 6 (1:52) Help! Speaker 1 (1:54) I think I get out by saying, okay, take it over, Laurie. Speaker 3 (2:08) I think refuging God from Satan is rejected. (2:13) In the name of God, most gracious, most merciful. (2:17) God, most gracious, the one who teaches the Qur'an, the one who created the human being, the one who taught him how to distinguish right from wrong. (2:28) The sun and the moon created his timing devices. (2:32) The stars and the trees prostrate. (2:35) He raised the heaven and established the balance. (2:38) You shall not transgress when you weigh. (2:40) You shall be equitable when you weigh. (2:42) Do not cheat when you trade. (2:45) He made the earth for all the people. (2:47) With fruits and palms with cheese, with food grains and flowers. (2:53) Which of your Lord's marvels can you two deny? (2:56) He created the human from clay like the potter and created the jinn from lake and fire. (3:03) Which of your Lord's marvels can you two deny? (3:06) Lord of the two east and the two west, which of your Lord's marvels can you two deny? (3:12) He separates the fresh water from the salt water. (3:15) Between them is a barrier they cannot surmount. (3:19) Which of your Lord's marvels can you two deny? (3:22) From the two seas you extract pearls and coral. (3:27) Which of your Lord's marvels can you two deny? (3:30) He controls the ships that roam the sea like flags. (3:34) Which of your Lord's marvels can you two deny? (3:37) Everyone on earth will perish, but the presence of your Lord will continue. (3:42) He is the possessor of majesty and honor. (3:45) Which of your Lord's marvels can you two deny? (3:48) Everyone in the heavens and the earth implores him. (3:52) Every day he is in full control. (3:55) Which of your Lord's marvels can you two deny? (3:58) We will deal with both of you, with the two entities, humans and jinns. (4:02) Which of your Lord's marvels can you two deny? (4:05) O you jinns and humans, if you can't penetrate the outer limits of the heavens and the earth, then penetrate. (4:11) You can only penetrate when given authority. (4:15) Which of your Lord's marvels can you two deny? (4:18) You will be bombarded with masses of fire and molten metal, and you can never succeed. (4:24) Which of your Lord's marvels can you two deny? (4:45) This chapter is very special to me because I have this weakness that I'm very impatient with knowledge and if I don't know something I can't grasp it. (4:58) And it always caused me trouble in school because if I didn't understand it I couldn't do anything about it. (5:03) And I became Muslim and I read the Qur'an and I found out that I had to submit even though I didn't understand something. (5:10) It was really a test for me because I just wanted to know. (5:14) And I never understood the jinns. (5:16) It was just like, you know, I read it and I knew that they existed, thank you. (5:20) And I knew because it was in the Qur'an I had to believe it but I didn't know what they were and nobody could explain it to me. (5:28) And I got really wild explanations of what the jinns were. (5:33) And it always troubled me but I just forced myself to submit. (5:39) And in the second chapter of the Qur'an where it says that the believers are those who believe in the unseen and this was part of the unseen. (5:48) And I knew that inshallah at the time that God would explain it to me. (5:54) And one of the blessings of being in this mosque is having things explained to us. (5:59) And as Rashad said in the Quran today, it's a mercy from God that he sent a messenger from among us to explain to us. (6:08) The knowledge is here in the Qur'an and all of us have read the Qur'an. (6:12) You know, I read it once a month from front to back. (6:15) And every time there's something new. (6:18) And we get what we need at the time we need it. (6:23) And we in this mosque are just developing so far. (6:26) It's just amazing. (6:27) You know, Rashad and Lisa and Hassan went to Canada and there were the people who believed the way we do. (6:33) They're still way behind us in the knowledge because we're here every Friday night learning and studying. (6:39) We have the input of all these believers here. (6:42) And we have a messenger that is giving the knowledge that is passed on to us. (6:48) And we're responsible for the information in this Qur'an. (6:51) And, you know, the person in the Qur'an that was admonishing the the mu'mins for saying that they were believers when they weren't really. (6:59) They were just submitters and that's the first step. (7:02) But only the believers can attain paradise. (7:06) So if we don't have absolute certainty, we can't ever grow and develop to our fullest extent. (7:12) And that's where the increased knowledge is such a blessing. (7:17) And I read, you know, I've read this verse so many times. (7:19) And the first time I read it, you two, the kings and the jinns, you know, I just didn't understand what it meant. (7:24) I didn't understand what the jinns were, what their role was, what they had to do with me or with us. (7:31) It was just a mystery. (7:32) And I just, you know, like I said, I had to force myself not to question it and not to be hung up about it. (7:38) And when we had that discussion about jinns in the Qur'anic studies, I just kept my mouth shut and, you know, we heard different things. (7:45) But now, just in this last year, we found out what this is. (7:49) And so this chapter has a totally different meaning. (7:53) I understand what it are, you know, they have the same requirements. (8:02) There's other verses in the Qur'an that they have the same requirements that we do. (8:06) Some of them believed in Jesus and they believed in other things and then they heard the Qur'an and they believed. (8:12) And, you know, they have the same requirements that we do. (8:17) And they also have the same rewards that we do. (8:20) You know, there are entities that we can't see, you know, we don't know. (8:23) They can see us, but we can't see them. (8:26) And yet the heaven that's described here in the other verses is for them too. (8:30) They have their own, but it's the same set up as ours. (8:33) It's exactly the same for them. (8:36) It's like, you know, these creatures that are so important in this scripture that we don't know anything about. (8:41) And now we know that the jinns were those that, before creation, sided with Satan and took a stand against God and believed that Satan could be a god besides God, that God could have partners, which is the ultimate blasphemy. (8:58) And so they were banished and they have a chance to redeem themselves as well. (9:03) And our job is to, you know, and I used to read about Satan and his troops and generations of jinns and humans, and I didn't know how do they come to be generations? (9:14) How do they multiply? (9:15) How do they, you know, what do they do to reproduce themselves? (9:19) And now we know that a jinn is assigned to each one of us, and so their reproduction is, it coincides with our reproduction, that each one of us is given a companion at the time of our entry into this world. (9:35) And we're in the same boat. (9:37) But we both sinned. (9:38) We both came to this earth with original sin. (9:41) We both took a stand against God, the jinns more forcefully than we did, but we took the same stand as not being for God, because there's only two ways. (9:51) Either you're for, you're against, and we don't wish you washing. (9:54) So basically we were against God. (9:56) We've both given the chance to redeem ourselves. (9:59) Thing is, the jinns took the definite stand, so they're going to try to convert us to Satan's way of thinking and to the original sin that we committed. (10:08) So we have to convert them. (10:11) So from the time of birth, we're in this constant struggle with our jinn companions to convert them to righteousness and to protect ourselves from falling into the path of the jinn. (10:22) And it's a struggle. (10:23) It's a struggle every day of our lives, and it just goes on and on. (10:28) And the blessing about knowing who your enemy is is knowing what they are, what their goal is, what their tactics are, so you can learn how to defend yourself. (10:38) And that's what the Qur'an is, and that's what these blessings come from. (10:42) So we know that. (10:44) And to me, the greatest blessing of all is knowing that we do have original sin. (10:48) We're bad. (10:49) We were born bad because we took the stand against God. (10:53) So now that we know that, we know what we have to do. (10:55) We have to, just every day of our lives, try to redeem ourselves from that sin. (11:04) And the Qur'an is very specific about giving us the way to do it. (11:08) And we know now. (11:09) We've heard it several times in Qur'an that we have to ask ourselves every day, Who is my God this week? (11:16) Because that's our only goal in life is to redeem ourselves. (11:20) Nothing else has any importance whatsoever. (11:23) And we have to do certain things. (11:24) We have to support ourselves. (11:25) We have to take care of ourselves. (11:27) But with the goal in mind that this is to do righteousness. (11:32) You know, we can't be a burden to society. (11:33) We can't steal. (11:35) So we have to work and support ourselves. (11:37) So it's all in tune with the same thing, which is purifying ourselves and growing and developing our souls. (11:44) So as soon as you take that stand, then the jinns are going to try to, your companion and others are going to try and make you stray away from that path. (11:53) And the greater the stand you take, the greater the enticements are going to be. (11:58) And you just have to be prepared. (12:01) And I've talked to several people who've said that they've encountered the same thing I did when I made the stand that I was going to really try and devote more of my thoughts to God because I wasn't doing enough. (12:12) And I knew it, that they just took over. (12:14) And they didn't want me to. (12:16) Even the little that I was doing was in danger of not being done at all. (12:20) It's just a constant struggle. (12:22) And so I know this now, and I know that I have to just be on the alert at all times for this. (12:28) And we know that most of it is sneaky whispering. (12:33) And there's even a story where it's devoted to this, that Satan whispers to us little things that don't seem so bad. (12:42) You know, we've talked about this before. (12:44) Oh, you can wait until the game is over before you pray. (12:46) Or, you know, I'll pray later and then something happens and you don't pray. (12:50) And that time can never be regained. (12:52) If you miss a prayer, you can't make it out. (12:54) That time is lost. (12:55) It says, The inhabitants of hell are the farthest from God on the day of judgment. (12:59) Knowing that heaven is close to God, they will leave hell and sneak into the area closer to God. (13:05) But because they are not sufficiently prepared to come close to God, they will suffer terribly in the presence of God and will flee back to hell and so on forever. (13:14) Well, here is this vicious circle that they're in. Speaker 7 (14:18) That's what these people are saying. (14:22) If we're real good, we get this reward. Speaker 1 (14:31) They're whispering. Speaker 7 (14:32) They're whispering. (14:33) Thank you. (14:35) This is what I thought about. Speaker 1 (14:36) Quran says they will whisper. Speaker 7 (14:37) Yeah, this is the hell they used to deny. (14:40) Yes. (14:40) They deny hell. Speaker 1 (14:44) That's what I have here. (14:57) Verse 4, it says, Nobody will need to ask anybody about any of the souls that this believer has buried. (15:23) But in this room, the difference in our sizes is within a few inches. (15:34) But in the hereafter, the difference will be like a mouse. (15:42) So when you see somebody the size of the city of Tut, the soul, especially somebody the size of a mouse, you don't need to ask, you know, what did you do wrong? (16:02) Nobody will need to ask anybody about their sins. (16:05) It is so obvious. (16:09) Also, in Surah 17, we are told, everybody will be in the judgment. (16:17) In that dimension, we will see, before you enter the gate, you will be recognized by the nooks. (16:32) They will be undeveloped. (16:33) They will be shrunken, like being born without arms and legs. (16:38) Before. (16:40) They will be born into the world. (16:45) Aborted. Speaker 5 (16:47) But they will be alive. (16:48) Very well. Speaker 1 (16:58) So God lets us understand, as Laurie explained about the Holy Quran, try to sneak into heaven, and they find it worse than hell. (17:09) They will sneak into the lower heaven, worse than hell, because they cannot stand God. (17:20) See, God left it completely after. (17:23) That's why God does not inflict an atom's weight of injustice. (17:27) It's absolutely up to you. (17:28) You can be as close to God as you want, in the high heaven, or you can be as far from God as you want. (17:35) The confusion is that God does not put a single person in hell. (17:51) The whole thing will be automatic, the collapse. (18:07) Because those are the means. (18:12) Imagine if you don't feed them. (18:13) Your body does not dry, and you don't feed the body. (18:15) It's too much. (18:17) What will your body look like? (18:20) There's no death, but hereafter. (18:25) Just imagine not eating for too much. (18:28) And the people out there in the street, they don't feed their soul for years and years and years. (18:35) And imagine what they look like. (18:36) And imagine, break it to our dimension here, and think of bodies that didn't eat for years. (18:45) Those skeletal pictures, the starving people, strapped, what they look like. (19:00) And this happens to the soul, if the soul is not fed, for five meals every day. (19:08) The guilty will be recognized by their looks. (19:16) And then who is starving in Africa, and who is not. (19:22) And hereafter, we will be able to know who is starving, and who is not. (19:32) So now I'll go back to Gloria, number 46, the higher heaven. Speaker 6 (19:35) Yes. Speaker 3 (19:39) For those who reverence the glory of their Lord, there will be two paradises. (19:43) Which of your Lord's marvels can you two deny? (19:46) With abundant vegetation, which of your Lord's marvels can you two deny? (19:51) Two springs run freely therein, which of your Lord's marvels can you two deny? (19:55) They will have two kinds of every fruit. (19:59) Which of your Lord's marvels can you two deny? (20:01) They will relax on furnishings lined with silk, while the fruits of the two gardens are brought near. (20:07) Which of your Lord's marvels can you two deny? (20:09) They will have magnificent spouses therein, never before touched by any human or jinn. (20:15) Which of your Lord's marvels can you two deny? (20:18) They will look like gems and coral. (20:20) Which of your Lord's marvels can you two deny? (20:22) Is the reward of righteousness anything but the best blessing? (20:27) Which of your Lord's marvels can you two deny? (20:29) Which is so beautiful. (20:34) The higher heaven, and we know that the verses describing heaven and hell are allegorical because there's no way that we can conceive or understand what it really will be like so God gives us things that brings it into our own dimension. (20:48) But we know that there are stratifications, and for those, very clear here, for those who have reverenced the glory of their Lord, who have done everything that they have been able to do, who have developed their souls, who have kept the commandments, who have not set up another god besides God, then God rewards those with the best blessing, and he doesn't have to do it. (21:13) But there's a verse in the Quran that says that God is appreciative, and that's so incredible to me because he doesn't need us at all. (21:20) Why should he be appreciative of anything that we do? (21:24) It's just that he is most gracious, most merciful, and we can't comprehend that kind of mercy. (21:31) We're bound by our own selfishness and our own desire to succeed and our own concern with our own well-being. (21:41) We can't imagine that something could be so gracious and so merciful that it could just provide all these things for us, just the ultimate of just leisure, not having to do anything, everything that you want, every kind of food that you want to eat, and you don't have to do anything. (22:00) It's just, you know, the springs are running freely and you don't have to worry about finding a spouse and going through all these changes, and, you know, they're just there, and you don't have to do anything at all. (22:12) It's just an incredible mercy. (22:17) And, you know, what did we have to do in this life to get there? (22:20) I mean, it's like the most incredible, you know, if somebody offered you a deal and said, you know, buy a socket, you know, 50 cents a share, and in 10 years it'll sell for a million dollars a share, and you think, you know, that's impossible. (22:34) How could anything like that exist? (22:35) But this is even greater. (22:37) All we had to do was say our five prayers every day, not to have any other gods besides God, which is for our own benefit anyway. (22:44) God doesn't need us. (22:46) You know, to do the religious duties that are so simple to fast for one month, which we know is good for us. (22:53) It lowers our blood pressure. (22:55) It, you know, gives our kidneys a break. (22:57) We know that praying is good for us. (22:58) You know, we know about lubricating the joints and combating arthritis. (23:04) All of these things that are done for our benefit anyway, and just in exchange for doing that, we get this unbelievable, you know, this paradise that, you know, is beyond our wildest dreams, and we know that it's even greater than this, because this is just something that God gives us, which is to our limited ability to perceive anything. (23:27) What God has in store for us is so much greater. (23:30) In fact, we're told in the Qur'an that we can't even imagine what is in store for us. (23:34) As a reward for doing what we're supposed to do in the first place. (23:39) It's just incredible mercy. (23:43) And, you know, we've talked about this before sometimes. (23:46) Well, you know, the lower heaven isn't that bad either. (23:49) When we read the next verses, you'll see, but the picture here, when there's not that great a difference, is that we know that the higher heaven just means that we'll be closer to God, and that's the only understanding that we really need to have, is that we'll be closer to God. (24:03) And the further away from Him we are, the more miserable we'll be. (24:07) So even though we'll be in paradise in the lower heaven, it won't be the same. (24:14) And in the next verses, the lower heaven, starting with 62. Speaker 1 (24:21) The next two verses are now the two verses to the higher heaven and the two verses to the lower heaven, very specific. (24:27) And our teacher will be in Alba, Friday, in Surah 56 in Alba. (24:33) I cannot do it. Speaker 9 (24:39) Before this, Yula. Speaker 1 (24:55) Nothing better than to turn to Allah, may Allah accept our Fatiha for Yula and her baby. (25:00) And may Allah accept our Fatiha. (25:01) Also, ask God to heal Lori, her voice. (25:06) And Perry Bass' daughter, Lamia, is having an operation on her teeth next week, on Friday. (25:12) God loves us when we pray to Him and ask Him to heal our friend, heal us. (25:21) Also, we're going to pray to God to bless the birthday folks, Suad, Hamid. (25:30) Hamid's birthday is tomorrow, and Suad's birthday is on the 7th. (25:35) And the Arish's are having an anniversary, the 19th anniversary. (25:42) So ask God to give them all a very festive year, and every year we ask for that to be even better. (25:48) God bless us. Speaker 5 (25:50) Al-Fatiha. (25:51) Just a minute there. (25:52) We know... Speaker 2 (26:34) Really, should I repeat this? (26:36) Yes. (26:36) Okay. (26:40) Okay, God says, and those who are far ahead will be far ahead, and they will be closest to God. (26:46) And far ahead is, of course, the highest heaven. (26:49) And we know that far ahead doesn't mean how much money you have or what looks you have or how much education you've got, but it means the kind of intelligence that you have within where you see God and the truth and righteousness. (27:09) And we know that that's what puts us far ahead, not because, like I was saying earlier, that there are a lot of people who have all those things, and they feel like they have a lot of power, and they're in control, but they are very miserable, and they go through drugs and alcohol. (27:31) Most of the people who are out there that are into drugs and alcohol are doctors, people that we go to help us, people who make all that money and who are in the high parts of society, and people who think they are in control. (27:47) Not that every doctor is bad or anything like that, but that power has a lot of times led to trouble because people are not righteous enough, and they don't see, and they don't open their hearts, and they don't let go of that ego enough to understand that if you use your power with God's will, then maybe you'll get somewhere. (28:07) But other than that, you don't get anywhere. (28:11) Maybe here for a while, like God says, I'll let them enjoy this life for a while, but just for a while. (28:18) And we know that there are people who don't have those things, yet their lives are very calm and very fulfilled. (28:28) And also, as I was saying earlier, is that the Quran has taught us that God is in full control of our money, of what we look like, of how our lives are the thread that we walk into our lives. (28:43) And it seems pretty unfair that God would choose some people to have money and looks and put them in heaven because of that. (28:51) But what makes more sense is that God has given every one of us, no matter what standards we have, He has given us that freedom of choice, which makes us equal and makes us the wise ones if we seek to choose the right path. (29:10) And that's where we'll be. (29:12) If we do the commandments in the Quran, if the people of Jesus or Moses' time did everything that they brought down through the Bible or the Torah, and if they did those things, then they will be in the far heaven. (29:30) And of course we know that this is the most complete, the prayers and the fasting and the charity and the belief in God alone and the hereafter and working righteousness. (29:43) And God willing, that will put us far ahead and make us sovereigns on earth no matter how much money or anything we have. (29:53) And a lot of times I think that's really hard to understand. (29:57) And a lot of times we get bogged down. (29:59) I know I do. (30:00) Like when I see someone who has cute clothes on or is really pretty or something like that. (30:06) And you just have to step back and think and say that's not important. (30:11) You have what God thought was good for you. (30:17) God says that you'll be in the gardens of bliss. (30:23) Multitudes from the early generations. (30:26) Gardens of bliss is of course heaven. (30:30) Multitudes from the early generations. (30:32) We have a footnote that says, The early generations of Muslims were characterized by following the Quran, the whole Quran, and nothing but the Quran. (30:41) 250 years after the Prophet, Hadith and Sunnah appeared, followed by the various schools of jurisprudence. (30:49) This marked the progressive deterioration of the Muslim nation. (30:54) Okay, this tells us the early generation, those are the people that had the big prophets. (31:02) Those are the ones who had the messengers. (31:05) And, well, we have messengers too, but it just seems like then it seemed like it was more in people's lives. (31:13) Now it seems like technology has taken our lives so much that people don't think about God actually sending angels down or messengers down or miracles down. (31:24) So those people who did follow the exact correct way were in the early generations and there are some people now. (31:34) But right now it seems like we just need more and more and more proof to make us be disciplined enough to understand. (31:43) And it seems like as time has gone by people just want to interpret the way they think. (31:48) If they don't like something the way it sounds they have to change it to the way they want it. (31:52) And that just makes a lot of conflict. (31:54) And thank God that's why we have the Qur'an which is so easy to understand. (31:59) And God says it's easy to memorize and understand. (32:04) And it says in the footnote that 250 years after the prophet these two books appeared. (32:11) And we know that these two books are the books that have all the traditions, the things that are totally contradictory to the Qur'an. (32:17) And these people are so blind that they don't even sit down to compare, to understand and see that it is contradictory to what their prophet that they idolize brought down. (32:30) Number 14. (32:31) But only a few from the later generation. (32:35) And this again tells us that the later it gets the harder it is for people to understand and to follow. (32:43) They're so bogged down by the material things of this life that it's too hard for them to be religious and to do five daily prayers or fast for a month. (32:54) They couldn't see that at all. (32:57) And so it seems like it is harder. (33:00) And I guess now we have all the prayer and we have all the five commandments and it is, it's more, I don't know what you want to call it, technical or something to get, there's more work maybe to get to the highest heaven and it's harder for those people who want to work that hard and want to put in the time to do their prayers and their fasting and wake up before dawn. (33:29) And it is harder and it just seems like those people have to go through more tests. (33:37) And God says they will be on sturdy furnishings, they will relax in rows facing each other, serving them with the immortal servants, serving them will be immortal servants. (33:53) I know that a lot of these descriptions of the high heaven or the low heaven, maybe even the hell, they're all allegorical. (34:04) And God knows us so well that he explains all these things to us in a way that we could understand. (34:13) And so everybody loves to relax and they love to have stable things around them. (34:19) It seems like one day you're down and the next day you're up, but God willing in heaven, everything will just be the same. (34:27) And it says serving them will be immortal servants. (34:32) We'll have people serving us, whereas later on we'll find out that in the lower heaven they have to work for their water, they have to pour their own water, whereas we have servants, not we, but people who are in high heaven, be in the high heavens and they will serve us with cups, pitchers, and pure drinks. (35:03) So it just shows that we're just going to have to do less work. (35:06) The more work we do now, the less work we'll do then. (35:10) If this, then that. (35:14) They are never diverted therefrom, nor deprived, which is great because we know being here is humans and being weak like humans. (35:26) We have a tendency to be diverted, but thank God we're pinched here and there and we do get diverted, but there God says you won't be diverted and we won't be deprived. (35:44) I won't have to look at anyone's nose. (35:46) It's so cute. Speaker 4 (35:51) With fruits of their choice, so whatever we want, and meat of birds that they desire, anything we choose, anything we desire, and magnificent spouses, we won't have spouses like we could have on earth, but I guess maybe it could mean that since people supposedly love their spouses, then they can love up there, just the same. Speaker 2 (36:58) It says that God describes them as precious pearls. (37:08) This is the recompense of their works, which shows us that the more righteousness you are and the more work towards goodness that you do, the better you will be treated in heaven and the more you can have. (37:25) They will hear no vain talk therein nor sin, only utterances of peace. (37:36) I know that in the Quran it says believers should not commit gross sins or they should stay away from sin, and yet God says that they get diverted sometimes. (37:54) And it says that we shouldn't sit around tables where people are talking rumors and that if we sit with them, we are just as guilty and that we should get up and leave, and if we don't, we stay by mistakes and get up and leave when you remember, and that we shouldn't like that. (38:20) But I think that a lot of times, especially when you're in groups of people, things like that, you do fall into all that. (38:27) You do fall into rumors, and it just seems like when people get into a group, they disagree on so many things. (38:35) It's like they say, don't talk about religion, don't talk about government, don't talk about, I don't know what else, but don't talk about rumors, because it's the one thing that seems like a group of people just really understand together. (38:49) They really have fun with it, and they don't have fun if they disagree on religion. (38:54) People want to kill each other if they talk about government or religion or discrimination or racism or anything like that. (39:01) But rumors, it seems like it's an easy topic, and it'll get people to be friendly with one another, and it'll pass time. (39:07) But up there, we won't have to stoop that low, and again, Satan won't be there to take us that way and make us forget. (39:18) There, there won't be no sin, there will be no sin, and there will be no vain talk, but there will be just peace and happiness, and God willing, we'll be there. (39:29) Any questions? Speaker 1 (39:31) What is God's instructions? (40:01) As time went by, Satan, sneakily and gradually, by the time Muhammad came, lots of idols left, Al-Lat, Al-Manat, Al-Uzza, and all that, they were in the Kaaba that Abraham built, and you read how many verses in the Quran that say Abraham was never an idol worshiper, yet there is the Kaaba that he built that was full of idols. (40:35) And then, God renewed the message, sent the Quran to Muhammad, and sent Muhammad to tell the people the idols are bad, worship God alone, worship God alone, so what happened? (40:45) And Muhammad and his company were persecuted severely, thorns, then they banished them, when they grew, they were about 10 or 15 to about maybe 25 or 30 people. (41:07) They have to have a special place in heaven. (41:23) They went against the current, (41:25) they were worshiping God alone (41:26) in an ocean of idolatry, (41:33) in the highest place in the high heaven, (41:36) because even within the high heaven (41:38) and below it, 20 years ago, (41:47) you see how it says here, (41:48) 1400 years after Muhammad, (41:55) there is not a single mosque (41:57) in the Muslim world (42:01) that is upholding the commandment, (42:04) the mosque belongs to God, (42:05) you should worship, you should not, (42:10) and then God renewed the message, (42:13) right now. (42:16) And the message went loud and clear, ringing loud, the whole world worshiped, devote yourselves to God alone, uphold the commandment of the Quran, purify your worship, your prayer is wrong, your fasting is wrong, your zakat is wrong, to our generation. (42:41) And again, we are subject to the same persecution. (43:06) God says, even if you get in trouble, you better tell them, you are very, very special people, you've gone through, and she told them, I'm devoting myself to God alone, is that all you have God? (44:01) Come out. (44:28) Now, Noah, if you remember, we probably never had that exam in calculus, right? (45:08) Most of God alone, Abraham was the first generation, and those people, they threw him in the fire, right? (46:24) In those days, there was no America for Abraham to run to, they threw him in the fire, so what did God do? (46:32) He turned the fire into earth, because God, in this joke, Mahmoud, he went to a grocery store, you know, nothing, and a Turk, why do you have to take all this abuse? Speaker 8 (48:20) And he doesn't know how many stores there are. (48:38) God is telling you, Speaker 1 (48:39) I'm with you, (49:27) God is the one who created you, (49:40) God is the only one, (49:44) Muhammad is dead, because you're going through, (50:01) this is the first generation, we are, (50:22) God preserves especially, (51:03) right at this location, far ahead, (51:40) and you start, you have a pinch here, (52:01) and off the path, (52:27) God says in Surah 35 that the angels have (52:29) wings, two, three or four, (52:35) because the angels closest to God (52:38) will be the most powerful, (52:40) the highest in rank, (52:41) they'll have more wings, (53:06) worship God alone, this is God telling you, (53:38) from the doubts in your mind, (54:03) get your guts, because this is going to be (54:08) for a long time, I was talking to my nephew, (55:08) he says, I'm the only one in Egypt, (55:11) he really is, I believe, (55:12) there must be millions in Egypt to worship, (55:53) so that's why I'm speaking so strongly, (56:05) this is the verse of Muhammad's time, (56:30) and he's restoring it, (56:44) when you go back, he's restoring it, (57:24) so you're the only one in Tehran, (57:36) this circle here, (57:37) you start on this side, (57:40) you put down the first, (57:41) start with the first verse of Quran, (57:44) and write the number of every verse of Quran, (57:46) one, two, three, four, five, six, (57:49) and put seven, the number of verses in the Surah, (57:52) and then do the same with every Surah, (57:53) all the way to the front, only in the upper half, (57:55) Surah seven, (58:09) and then you link with (58:11) a number, (58:22) twenty-five thousand (58:24) four hundred, (58:27) is one mile long, (58:31) visible by nineteen, and it has two systems, (58:36) one system where you, this, (58:52) eventually, (59:06) so we make, it is growing now, (59:21) and fifty years from now, (59:22) it's going to be, they jump in the wagon, (59:41) they will look at it, and they will say, (59:46) this is God's message, (59:48) so, the left-hand generation (59:49) for Islam was wiped out, (1:00:27) now with our generation, (1:00:40) we have a special situation here, (1:00:42) also, we have the verse in Quran, (1:00:44) we will show them our signs (1:00:48) in the horizons, (1:01:12) some of you even (1:01:49) wanted you to know who you are, (1:02:19) but you can call this hell, (1:02:41) but the whole place is hell, (1:02:42) and God says, those who fairly miss hell, (1:02:45) and make it into the lowest layer (1:02:47) of the purgatory, (1:02:48) God calls this a fantastic triumph, (1:02:51) because if you miss this, (1:02:53) this thing called hell, (1:02:55) within which there are (1:03:20) natural borders, (1:03:35) how it's mighty, (1:03:36) out of that, those who worship God alone, right? Speaker 2 (1:04:00) And he was like, he was like, Dr. Khalifa says that it's okay for you to repent, Muslims don't have the right to repent, and I'm like, excuse me? (1:04:10) That's exactly what he said, (1:04:12) he says, God teach you how it is, Speaker 6 (1:04:31) and I said, I'll teach him how it is, Speaker 2 (1:04:41) I'll teach him, Speaker 1 (1:04:54) Hello, conversation (1:05:09) ended by me challenging him to say (1:05:11) la ilaha illallah, I told him, (1:05:19) you are forbidden by God from saying la ilaha illallah, (1:05:36) I said, go ahead, say it, (1:05:42) say la ilaha illallah, (1:05:43) Muhammad Rasulallah, (1:05:45) he said, see, you just proved to me (1:05:48) that you cannot say la ilaha illallah, (1:05:50) can you, because you are forbidden by God, (1:05:51) I mean, here I'm challenging this guy, (1:05:55) I have it all recorded on the tape, Speaker 6 (1:06:30) but that's how, Speaker 1 (1:06:32) that's how stupid, how angry he became, (1:06:35) would you threaten (1:06:36) somebody and record it on a machine? (1:06:46) But this is the kind of abuse, (1:07:01) if Muhammad and Abu Hamid did not have the courage, (1:07:03) the willingness to brother, (1:07:21) God takes the believers out of darkness, (1:07:24) you cannot say la ilaha illallah, (1:07:50) within the high heaven there are ranks, (1:07:52) within the lower heaven there are ranks, (1:08:31) no, God never, (1:08:47) the last issue, (1:08:48) I showed that 15 times as many, (1:09:13) the vast majority, (1:09:14) all discovered, Speaker 2 (1:10:49) seeing these miracles, (1:10:51) but also there's another mercy, (1:10:52) I think from the old generation, (1:10:56) there might not have been as many people (1:10:57) as we're going to have, (1:10:58) but the life span then was what, (1:11:02) 35 or 40 years, (1:11:05) there was the, (1:11:09) they were all young people, (1:11:12) and so, you know, it seems like, (1:11:18) yeah, in the right way, (1:11:25) the lower heaven, (1:11:27) 27, as for the inhabitants (1:11:30) of the right side, (1:11:31) they will be on the right side, (1:11:34) they will enjoy lush orchards, (1:11:37) and fresh fruits, (1:11:38) and abundant shade, (1:11:41) and water to be poured, (1:11:43) and many fruits, (1:11:44) always in season, (1:11:45) and exalted furnishings, (1:11:47) we raise spouses for them, (1:11:49) never previously touched, (1:11:51) magnificent companions, (1:11:53) exclusively reserved for inhabitants (1:11:54) of the right side, (1:11:56) multitudes from the early generation, (1:11:58) and multitudes from the later generation, (1:12:02) okay, number 27, (1:12:05) yes, we see the difference (1:12:06) between this is from the far ahead (1:12:08) to the right side, Speaker 10 (1:12:10) and, Speaker 2 (1:12:12) you know, we've said it over and over again, (1:12:15) well, (1:12:16) we know that the people who died before (1:12:18) the age of 40 go in the lower heaven, (1:12:22) and we know that the basic rules (1:12:25) in the Quran to make the lower heaven (1:12:27) is to believe in God alone, (1:12:29) to work right, (1:12:32) and those people will make it, (1:12:34) and the right side (1:12:36) just sounds so right, (1:12:38) sounds so right, (1:12:40) because, first of all, (1:12:41) like we know from, you know, (1:12:43) the joke that we always play is that (1:12:44) God knows everything, God knows the one (1:12:46) who is really, really, really mean and bad, (1:12:48) and He will keep them until they're old, (1:12:51) but, (1:12:52) but the ones who died before they are 40, (1:12:55) obviously God knew that there was (1:12:57) something right about them, (1:12:59) and just because, you know, (1:13:01) their life was shorter than ours doesn't mean (1:13:03) that it was any kind of bad, (1:13:05) you know, thing from (1:13:07) God's position, (1:13:09) but that maybe they were going to prove (1:13:11) a test for their family or (1:13:13) whatever, but that the thing is (1:13:15) is that God knew they were on the right side, (1:13:18) and God tells us (1:13:19) that at the age of 40, you know, (1:13:33) but they are still (1:13:44) tried hard, (1:13:46) but you'll be there, (1:13:47) and also I think a lot of times, (1:13:49) you know, there are a lot of people who believe (1:13:51) in God alone, but it's just way (1:13:55) too difficult (1:13:57) to ask them to do anything else, (1:13:59) they might give charity, but, you know, (1:14:02) on their own, but they probably (1:14:05) don't even give money or anything, (1:14:12) so it's some kind of (1:14:17) prayer, it's too hard, (1:14:19) they say, I can see myself doing one, (1:14:21) but five, you know, (1:14:23) and I'm like, (1:14:25) you're not doing any, you know, (1:14:27) God doesn't need you to be doing this, (1:14:29) it's for us, you know, and you're not doing any (1:14:31) favors for God for doing your prayer, (1:14:33) but then it's a favor for us, (1:14:35) and over all that, to think (1:14:37) 25 minutes maybe out of your whole (1:14:39) day, 24 hours, (1:14:41) is really nothing, (1:14:57) so, but, I guess they're just Speaker 1 (1:15:00) trying to, Speaker 2 (1:15:17) again, (1:15:17) we're going to hear some allegorical things, (1:15:20) there's going to be some difference (1:15:21) from the highest heaven, (1:15:24) there's going to be (1:15:25) shade, and there's going to be fresh fruits, (1:15:27) but it doesn't say (1:15:29) what they choose, it doesn't say what they (1:15:31) desire, but there will be fresh fruit, (1:15:35) and (1:15:36) it says in water to (1:15:37) be poured, which means poured, (1:15:42) so that means a little bit more work (1:15:44) for those people, (1:15:45) but they will be taken care of, basically. (1:15:50) I don't understand why it says here they will, we will raise spouses for them, but in the other one it says that they will automatically have for the right people. (1:16:13) I mean, And here we have multitudes from the early generations and multitudes from the later generations, which goes along with what you were just saying, that in the later generations that come after the people who went through all the trouble and the hassle, the people laughing at them and mocking them, there will be a lot of people who will be, God willing, following the Scripture. (1:16:53) The footnote says, because all the humans who die as children will be assigned to the lower heaven, the proportion from each generation is about the same. (1:17:00) That also makes sense, of course. (1:17:04) So, we just know that multitudes from the early generations, that could be the people who, you know, the younger, yeah, the ones who died before the age of 40, because in the earlier generation they died at a young age, and then the multitudes from the later generations could be the ones, all the people who follow us. Speaker 1 (1:17:25) Because the same thing happens all the time, no matter what is happening, Abraham's generation, Muhammad's generation, all the generations, but still children die. (1:17:33) Yeah. (1:17:42) About the lower heaven? Speaker 2 (1:18:04) How? (1:18:07) 41. (1:18:09) Hell goes right after 41! Speaker 6 (1:18:11) Wait, what? (1:18:15) It's 41! (1:18:17) My God! Speaker 5 (1:18:19) This has a meaning. (1:18:25) You don't make that decision. Speaker 6 (1:18:26) Oh, wait a minute. Speaker 1 (1:18:29) You don't make that decision by that way. (1:18:45) Remember the circle? (1:18:47) This circle here means every person of God is numbered according to a system. (1:18:54) God's system. Speaker 2 (1:19:01) As for the inhabitants of the left, they will be on the left. (1:19:08) If you don't work righteousness, you don't believe in God alone, you don't do the commandments, you don't listen to your inner intuition to believe in God and work righteousness, then you will be exactly where you deserve to be, which is hell. (1:19:24) Oh, I'm sorry! Speaker 6 (1:19:37) Oh, my God! Speaker 2 (1:19:38) Oh, my God! (1:20:09) We're like the people on Noah's Ark. (1:20:12) We're people walking through the sea, you know, with Moses. (1:20:15) God, we're just like those people. (1:20:21) In ill winds and retribution, in shade that actually burns, never cool, never tolerable. (1:20:30) They used to be spoiled. (1:20:31) They insisted on the great blasphemy. (1:20:34) They used to say, after we die and become dust and bones, do we get resurrected? (1:20:40) Even our early ancestors, say, the early generations and the late generations, will be gathered together on a predetermined day. (1:20:49) Then you, O strayers and disbelievers, will eat from the trees of bitterness. (1:20:55) You will fill your bellies therefrom. (1:20:57) Then you will top it with lava. (1:21:00) You will ingest drinks of humiliation. (1:21:05) Such is their position on the day of judgment. (1:21:07) We created you, if you could only believe. (1:21:11) Do you see the semen you produce? (1:21:14) Is it you who created? (1:21:16) Or are we the creators? (1:21:18) We have designed death for you, and nothing can prevent us from substituting others in your place and establishing what you do not know. (1:21:31) Stop there. (1:21:33) Again, if you don't work righteousness and believe in God alone and everything, then you will be in hell, where you deserve to be. (1:21:43) Again, allegorically, I believe it very graphically explains to us what it's going to be like in hell. (1:21:53) I don't have to be there to already feel it. (1:21:57) It says that ill winds and retribution will come. (1:22:14) It seems sad if God knows in every scripture it's described what hell is going to be like. (1:22:34) People just don't understand. (1:22:35) They don't believe in it. (1:22:37) They used to be spoiled. (1:22:40) They insisted on the great blasphemy. (1:22:43) They used to say, after we die and become dust and bones, do we get resurrected? (1:22:50) They used to be spoiled. (1:22:51) That seems like such a good word again. Speaker 10 (1:22:54) Spoiled. Speaker 2 (1:22:55) It seems like the people who just want to be in control and the people who just think that material things make them happy and if they're down, well, it's okay honey, let's go shopping or whatever. (1:23:12) Actually... Speaker 9 (1:23:15) Wait, wait, wait. Speaker 1 (1:23:18) Many of us can do that too. (1:23:22) That's just it. Speaker 2 (1:23:30) Take that back. (1:23:34) I said, thank you God. (1:23:36) I have to say thank you. (1:23:43) Well, anyways, those spoiled people who think that they are just in charge and that they can make things better or worse on their own and they don't know what to do and they don't need anyone else or anything else and as long as they have everything that they like in this life, then it's fine and they don't have to question the Hereafter. (1:24:06) They don't feel that there's anything holding them back for them to be seeking God. (1:24:10) It's like a lot of people, when they go through a bad time, it's when they go towards God. (1:24:16) And it says it in the Quran. (1:24:18) Whenever hard times come to them, they remember me. (1:24:21) And when things get better, they forget about me. (1:24:30) And they just insist on the great blasphemy no matter how many times maybe hardship falls upon them, how many times they get stuck in the Black Sea or whatever, they still might go back. (1:24:55) Well, the people who are in hell, they do, but some people learn. (1:25:01) And the question, after we die and become dust and bones, do we get resurrected? (1:25:07) So many people have troubles with that. (1:25:10) They'll believe in maybe reincarnation. (1:25:13) I went to this comedy club the other day. (1:25:15) I have never gone to one before. (1:25:17) And so many times they talked about Shirley MacLaine saying that she's going to be, she was in reincarnation. Speaker 6 (1:25:25) She'll be back. Speaker 2 (1:25:26) She was an elephant or something? Speaker 6 (1:25:30) In the hereafter. Speaker 2 (1:25:31) But she will not believe that her soul could be raised. (1:25:34) But she'll believe in reincarnation. (1:25:35) And so many of these people brought up the same thing up on the stage. (1:25:43) So they question that too. (1:25:46) And God says if you don't believe in the hereafter, one of the pillars of the lower heaven, then that's it. (1:25:55) Even our early ancestors, there's no difference. (1:25:59) We know that God has sent us prophets and messengers throughout the community. (1:26:11) Say the early say the early generations and the late generations will be gathered together on a predetermined day. (1:26:21) We know that we know that their resurrection, that their judgment will come in about 300 years. (1:26:29) And that everybody will be judged by their souls and their videotapes. (1:26:37) And we're all going to be together. (1:26:39) We're all going to see what the other person is and there's nothing you can hide. (1:26:44) And like it says in the Quran, it says even the ones who are friends will be hating each other. (1:26:54) They didn't work right. (1:26:56) So we'll all be together. (1:27:39) Again, you know, this is another reminder again for us to take a look at gosh, you know, how were we created? (1:27:47) How did all this come about? (1:27:53) It's just incredible how the whole system of, I guess, getting pregnant or whatever, works. (1:28:01) And if somebody doesn't question where that came from they think that it came from generations of monkeys, then I think there's something wrong. Speaker 1 (1:28:11) ...
