Study From Azhar 4 Sura 37 By Rashad, Shakira Present Asteroid, Sura 3:118-129 By S
Speaker 3 (0:02) You guys are human beings, can't you think about your selection? Speaker 1 (0:07) Who's fault is this? (0:09) Who got this? (0:10) Well, that is one. (0:13) Whose fault is this? Speaker 3 (0:22) We cannot agree. Speaker 10 (0:29) You haven't seen this before? Speaker 1 (0:34) Documented proof. (0:36) I don't believe it, you're a liar. Speaker 3 (0:39) I know, can you believe it? (0:41) Maybe he can take a picture. (0:46) The scale of the lies. Speaker 1 (0:48) I can't believe it. (0:49) I know. (0:50) Did you read the details? Speaker 10 (0:51) Yeah. Speaker 1 (0:53) I have the English translation of that. (0:57) They say they came to, they went to Rasat Khalifa's mosque and investigated him. (1:01) And they found it established once and for all that he's a liar. (1:06) And here is proof. (1:09) I don't picture him in front of his mosque. (1:15) Audhu Billahi min al-shaytan al-rajim. (1:17) What's your name? (1:19) 448. (1:24) Oh, I love this, it's my favorite. (1:27) This goes to 447. (1:31) What the heck, it starts from the beginning of the Surah. (1:34) This is my favorite part, the people of heaven visit their relatives and friends. (1:41) It's true, every one of us has some relatives and friends who will be there. (1:45) We better go visit them. Speaker 3 (1:47) We won't feel sad? Speaker 1 (1:49) No. (1:50) Because, did you know the, oh you missed the ways people go to hell. (1:56) You want to survey? (1:58) Yes. (2:00) It's Mahmood's specialty. (2:02) He surveys the methods of going to hell. (2:05) Go ahead, number one? Speaker 8 (2:06) Number one, they duck under the fence. Speaker 1 (2:10) Under the fence, that's number one. Speaker 3 (2:12) I don't understand. Speaker 4 (2:13) Number one is the storm. Speaker 1 (2:15) The storm of the gates? (2:17) Okay. (2:17) They storm the gates of hell, you know. (2:21) A group of people carrying a big log and there's the gate of hell. (2:26) They're storming the gate to go in. (2:28) Is that disbelieving? (2:29) Yes. Speaker 13 (2:30) Because so many warnings they use. Speaker 1 (2:32) They're insisting on going in. (2:34) So this is number one. (2:35) Storming the gate. (2:36) Number two is tunneling their way under the fence. (2:39) Is it in the Surah? Speaker 10 (2:40) No, it's not. Speaker 1 (2:41) Almost. (2:42) Surah 115. (2:43) We'll get to that later, but listen to this first. (2:46) The method, this is what we realize on the Day of Judgment. Speaker 3 (2:48) This is why you will not be sad. (2:49) Okay, storming the gate and then running under it. Speaker 1 (2:52) Wait, wait. (2:52) This is to answer the question, are we going to feel sad for the people in hell? Speaker 3 (2:57) Yes. Speaker 1 (2:57) This is the question. (2:58) Here's the answer. (2:59) We're going to find out on the Day of Judgment, this is how they got to hell. (3:03) Some of them stormed the gates. (3:05) Number two, some of them tunneled their way under the fence. Speaker 4 (3:07) They tackled the 19 angels who guard hell and tried to beat them. Speaker 1 (3:11) Number three, listen. (3:13) In a pole vault? (3:16) Pole vaulters? Speaker 3 (3:17) Okay, what? Speaker 1 (3:18) Pole vaulters. Speaker 3 (3:19) Oh, pole vault. Speaker 1 (3:21) And you know, and they jump out of it. (3:23) Oh, I barely made it. Speaker 10 (3:24) I got it. Speaker 1 (3:28) And as soon as they fall down, there is the arm. Speaker 4 (3:33) Because Allah Subh'anaHu Wa Ta-A'la built solid walls around hell to keep people from getting in. (3:40) Yes. (3:40) And they get in by fighting their way in. (3:43) Exactly. (3:43) This is what they say. Speaker 1 (3:47) Yes. (3:48) 19 walls. (3:50) 19 fences. Speaker 3 (3:51) Sir, now tell me pole vaulting, tunneling and barding. Speaker 13 (3:54) Next one is one big, huge one. Speaker 1 (4:00) Seesaw. (4:01) Circus. Speaker 3 (4:02) Okay, seesawing it. Speaker 13 (4:04) Wait. Speaker 1 (4:04) No, no, we didn't. (4:05) No, it's coming up. (4:07) It's coming up. Speaker 3 (4:08) That's four. Speaker 1 (4:08) You know the circus where they jump on this? Speaker 10 (4:10) Yeah. Speaker 1 (4:10) They go up, way up. Speaker 10 (4:12) Somersault. Speaker 6 (4:13) Somersault their ways. (4:14) Hey, I made three somersaults. (4:16) The problem is, who will take the big one? (4:20) The next one, number five. (4:22) What's the number five? Speaker 4 (4:22) No, no, the big one you see that opens the gates a little bit. (4:28) Because there are seven gates. Speaker 1 (4:30) Yes. (4:30) Number five. (4:31) Number five. Speaker 8 (4:32) There are seven gates. (4:33) The cannon. Speaker 1 (4:34) The cannonball. (4:35) Human cannonball. (4:36) Human cannonball. Speaker 4 (4:37) And you're firing. Speaker 3 (4:38) Now, where did you get all this from? Speaker 10 (4:42) Sura 115. (4:44) Sura 115. Speaker 1 (4:49) If you're imagining, that's all. (4:56) Even he gets very scared. Speaker 3 (4:58) No, but in the Quran it says that the people will try to come towards heaven. (5:02) And then they can't. (5:03) They won't be able to stand it and they'll go back. (5:06) They'll keep going back. (5:06) They'll try to go and come back and try to go and come back. Speaker 1 (5:09) And here they are pole vaulting it. (5:11) Yes. (5:12) But now they're doing this. (5:14) See, now they're, like for example, how do you explain, the guy, we tell him, Sura 57 parts. (5:19) He says, no, the word, because there's a shadow on it, it's two parts. (5:26) It's not 57, it's 58. (5:28) There's no miracle there. (5:29) How do you explain this guy? (5:30) Now this guy is trying a cannon. (5:32) No, no, no. Speaker 4 (5:33) God doesn't want them to go to heaven. (5:35) God wants them all to go to paradise. Speaker 1 (5:38) In fact, Sura 39 says, God does not like it. Speaker 3 (5:40) They insist on going to heaven. Speaker 1 (5:42) There you go. (5:42) That's the answer. Speaker 3 (5:43) They insist. Speaker 1 (5:43) So we will not be sad, because we will realize that they tried all these methods to force themselves into hell. (5:52) I usually, I use the jump defense. (5:54) This is the only thing I use, because this is what I used to do. (5:58) When there was a soccer ball in my hometown. (6:00) And they're fighting for the final championship. (6:03) And they have at the club, the soccer balls, the two champion teams coming to my hometown. (6:09) And they have police on horses patrolling the fence out there. (6:13) I was an expert on jump defense. (6:15) That was a high fence, like seven feet, with the thing pointing at my back. (6:20) So I went and put two horses facing the other way, and then whoop. (6:25) And I'm in the club to watch the game. (6:27) Must have been seven years old. Speaker 3 (6:30) You know, in India, they have walls with a glass on top of it. Speaker 4 (6:34) Right, they have the same thing in India. (6:35) It doesn't stop them, though. Speaker 3 (6:37) It doesn't, yeah. (6:37) I used to climb over it and go and steal grapes. (6:42) And one day, the guy came behind me. (6:45) You know, my grandfather, he's the dean of Usmania University, my grandfather. (6:49) And I used to do these terrible things. (6:51) My sister and I, we jumped it, and we went into the grape garden, and we stole the grapes, and we jumped back. (6:57) The man came behind us with a stick. (7:01) He came behind a stick. (7:03) And my uncle, you know, the Nizam of Hyderabad. (7:07) He is the architect for the Nizam of Hyderabad. (7:10) And they were constructing this big thing for the Nizam, my uncle. (7:13) And he took us there. (7:14) And this is what we are doing. (7:16) And my uncle was so ashamed of us that he just said, these people don't belong to us. Speaker 1 (7:22) I don't know them. (7:23) I never saw them in my life. (7:25) Those grape thieves. Speaker 3 (7:27) We were little kids. (7:29) I don't know these people. (7:30) Who are these people? (7:31) I don't know them. Speaker 1 (7:33) So I used to jump the fence to get into the soccer game. (7:36) And these people in Hyderabad, we realized that they insisted. (7:40) They jumped so many fences to go to Hyderabad. Speaker 4 (7:44) You see, what you did, you waited till the guards weren't looking. (7:48) These guys are going to attack the guards. Speaker 1 (7:51) In fact, they said that if 19 other guards of Hyderabad, leave them to me, some big guard. Speaker 3 (7:58) So your imagination, he used his imagination to do these five things? Speaker 13 (8:02) No, he has more. Speaker 1 (8:04) We are thinking of ways that they are forcing themselves. Speaker 3 (8:10) Some of them can go in a tank. Speaker 1 (8:14) How about balloons? Speaker 3 (8:16) You don't have a tank? Speaker 4 (8:20) Hot air balloons. (8:21) Balloons are not very good. (8:23) Not very good because you see hot air rises. (8:25) It's about the kite. Speaker 1 (8:29) It will never go. (8:31) It can jump from it. (8:33) The kite. (8:38) Isn't it a kite also? Speaker 4 (8:40) This is an excellent subject for Mad Magazine. Speaker 1 (8:53) There is a profound word coming up here that also adds to jumping the fence. (8:58) Something has happened to Ismail. (9:01) It gives an example that a disbeliever is jumping the fence into hell. (9:05) Because the second verse here uses the word exaggerate, which I translated here as the blamers. (9:11) Some guy came to Ismail and said, what is exaggerate? (9:14) He leaves all the straightforward verses, but now he is asking, can you tell me? (9:18) If you are so clever, you are the shahada people. (9:20) And what is exaggerate is? (9:21) Ismail said, goats. (9:23) Will this satisfy you now? (9:25) Okay, now what? (9:26) What happened to me then? (9:29) It's a strange word. (9:31) See, exaggerate means to blame. (9:34) Exaggerate, the blamers. (9:36) But he picks out this strange word and says, okay, if you are so clever, tell me, what is the meaning of exaggerate? (9:42) Ismail said, goats. Speaker 4 (9:45) If you know the meaning of exaggerate, you will be a good believer. Speaker 1 (9:50) Now here is the meaning. Speaker 4 (9:51) Okay, now what? Speaker 1 (9:56) In the name of God, most gracious, most merciful. (9:59) By the arrangers and columns, the blamers of those to be blamed. (10:05) Now, we are talking about angels here. (10:07) Because we have in another verse, in another surah, the angels say, we are the arrangers. (10:13) Actually, it is in this surah, excuse me. (10:15) It is coming later. (10:17) We are the arrangers. (10:18) So apparently, the angels will play a role in the resurrection process and arranging all the people. Speaker 3 (10:24) That is going to take a long time. Speaker 1 (10:27) Who cares? (10:28) We have infinity. (10:31) She is thinking in appointments, you know. (10:34) How many patients today? Speaker 3 (10:35) If they make me comfortable, that is okay. Speaker 1 (10:38) Right. Speaker 3 (10:38) Inshallah. Speaker 1 (10:39) And the blamers of those to be blamed, because the angels, remember, they are going to beat up the disbelievers. (10:43) They blame them. (10:44) We served you. (10:46) God gave you so many chances and you still disbelieve. (10:49) You are unappreciative. (10:52) Smack, smack. (10:53) What is hitting? (10:54) Smack is a kiss. (10:56) Smack is also a kiss. (11:00) Smack, smack, kick, kick. Speaker 3 (11:02) But these are blaming each other, right? (11:04) And the blamers are also. Speaker 1 (11:04) No, no. (11:05) They blame the disbelievers. Speaker 3 (11:07) Yes, they are blaming each other. Speaker 1 (11:09) The angels are blaming the disbelievers. Speaker 3 (11:12) Oh, okay. Speaker 1 (11:12) The arrangers and the blamers are angels. (11:15) Also, the reciters of the messages. Speaker 3 (11:17) Mashallah. Speaker 1 (11:17) Angels. Speaker 3 (11:18) That is why we have with you. Speaker 1 (11:19) These are all angels. Speaker 3 (11:20) We have you with us. Speaker 1 (11:21) These are all angels. (11:23) The arrangers, the blamers, the reciters. (11:26) So, God is stating these profound facts, three of them, and then God says, the result of the result, your God is only one. (11:35) The Lord of the heavens and the earth and everything between them and Lord of the East. (11:41) I am having a heck of a time as I am translating Al-Masharif. (11:44) Because what it really means is the sun rise, the Jupiter rise, the Saturn rise, the Mars rise. (11:50) Ah, I see, I see. (11:52) These are the East. (11:54) It's not East, it's the risings. (11:57) But how do you translate it to English so the people understand? (11:59) There is a technical term, I think. Speaker 4 (12:04) There is an astronomical term. Speaker 1 (12:08) I am making this known to everybody so they come up with a good word. (12:14) As soon as you wake up, Lydia, think about this. Speaker 10 (12:16) Oh my God. Speaker 1 (12:22) If you talk about the sun in the morning, you talk about the sun in the evening. Speaker 11 (12:29) Oh, you go to the airport? (12:33) You go now? Speaker 1 (12:34) OK. (12:35) Good luck to you. Speaker 10 (12:41) This is my sister. Speaker 1 (12:42) She is going now to take her medical exam. (12:46) ECFMG. Speaker 10 (12:49) ECFMG. Speaker 3 (12:50) I didn't see her yesterday. Speaker 1 (12:51) Yes, she was here. (12:52) She is very, she hides. (12:53) She is very shy. (12:54) Oh, OK. (12:56) I should have brought her to you. Speaker 3 (12:59) Well, I am sure she will do a good job. (13:02) Will you be giving her ECFMG? (13:03) Yes. (13:04) What is it now? (13:05) It's January? (13:06) Yes, they have it in January. Speaker 1 (13:07) Yes, February 20th. Speaker 3 (13:09) Yes, this is the day. Speaker 1 (13:12) No, 23rd. (13:13) 23rd, Tuesday. Speaker 10 (13:14) 23rd. Speaker 1 (13:20) Yes, you got only one. (13:23) So now, the Lord of the East, you know what it means now. (13:27) One time, I was in Washington, D.C., and the question of Ramadan came up. (13:39) So, I reached for the newspaper, the Washington Post, to show the person that the new moon, you can see the new moon in the paper, and it will tell you when the new month is. (13:50) You don't need to go out and look through the clouds for the moon, which is very thin slice, impossible to see binoculars and all this. (13:58) Especially if you are blind like the bears and try to decide when the moon is. (14:01) You know? (14:03) So, you know what I found in the Washington Post? (14:05) You can pick it up at any drugstore. (14:08) They have the moon in the solar system. Speaker 4 (14:10) Yes, in the paper, in Vancouver Sun. Speaker 1 (14:14) Yes. (14:14) It was really amazing. Speaker 11 (14:19) Yes? Speaker 1 (14:20) Yes, we have the sun and the moon here. (14:22) Yes. (14:24) But the Washington Post, and probably the New York Times, the major newspaper, I know the Washington Post does it every day. (14:31) I mean, if you want to see what time Saturn rises, and the new Saturn, it's just a detail. Speaker 4 (14:41) I don't even know what Saturn looks like. Speaker 1 (14:43) Which one has the rings? Speaker 4 (14:45) Saturn. (14:46) Saturn has the rings. (14:47) You can't see it with your naked eye. (14:49) You need a spoon. Speaker 8 (14:50) Mars is red, even. Speaker 4 (14:52) Yeah, but I'm colorblind. (14:54) To me, they're all alike. Speaker 8 (14:58) A lot of the time, they rise different. Speaker 1 (15:00) Yes, of course. (15:02) Those people are so behind, you know. (15:05) But this is all according to our sun. (15:08) Yes. (15:09) Yes, they are. (15:10) Because we're sitting in a place that's half light and half dark. (15:14) So we have the arises, and we're rotating, so we have the arises of all these planets. (15:21) As far as anything in the heaven is concerned, we reside on set, because of our rotation. Speaker 6 (15:29) Yes, because there's no way out. Speaker 1 (15:33) Why do I do rotation like this? (15:36) It doesn't matter, we may be upside down. (15:38) Let's say we're sitting upside down right now. Speaker 6 (15:42) But it works another time. Speaker 1 (15:44) And this makes it so it doesn't fall off. Speaker 9 (15:46) It never does. (15:47) I always wondered, I didn't understand it when I was little, you know, it's kind of like rotating around, and I was wondering how come nothing fell, and I didn't understand gravity, I was horrified, I was very little. Speaker 1 (15:57) No, the way to understand it is to imagine an ant walking on this globe. (16:01) Yeah. (16:01) The ant is walking around, cool, you know, it goes down, upside down. Speaker 9 (16:07) No, I was a little kid. Speaker 1 (16:07) You know, and it thinks it. (16:10) So this is the way we are. Speaker 9 (16:11) Yeah, but it's wonderful, because I was little and I was just fascinated by it. Speaker 6 (16:16) Sorry if I interrupted you. (16:18) So one time you talked about the two Easts and two Norths. (16:22) Right. (16:23) That's the sun and the moon. (16:24) The sun and the moon. (16:25) Yeah, the sun and the moon. (16:27) Two major things. (16:28) Two major things, the human and the jinn. Speaker 1 (16:31) Right. (16:32) You want to say it again? (16:33) I like that one better. (16:34) Well, the sunrise for the humans and the jinn. (16:36) So it's the same thing. (16:38) It's not the sun. (16:39) Yeah, but you see. (16:41) But the sun for the jinn, I mean, might be something different. (16:45) Well, the jinn on Earth, they will have that sunrise and sunset. (16:48) The same thing as ours. (16:49) No, but God wanted to make a point that there are two sets of creatures on Earth. (16:53) Surat al-Rahman, for example, is directed to the two. (16:57) Tafalayn, as it was called. (16:58) Tafalayn, the human and the jinn. (17:00) So God is talking to them separately because they have separate needs. (17:06) For example, a jinn will not care about a steak, but you would. (17:10) And you will not care about a box of matches for dinner. (17:14) But they like it, maybe to them. (17:17) I mean, I don't know what they like for dinner. (17:19) So if God describes heaven to them as fruits and rivers of milk and honey, and they don't care about these things, they say, oh, we don't want to go there. (17:28) So God, what was that? (17:30) Fatiha on Tuesday, don't forget that. Speaker 7 (17:33) Fatiha on Tuesday. (17:36) Oh, she's nervous about the test. (17:39) She will call us from the airport. Speaker 1 (17:41) Don't forget, Fatiha on Tuesday. Speaker 4 (17:46) But the Qur'an, I think, is directed to us, not to them. Speaker 1 (17:50) Are you saying that? (17:51) It's directed to us. (17:52) To us and the jinn. (17:55) But then, a group of jinn were listening to the Qur'an. (18:01) We send the jinns to you to listen to the Qur'an. (18:04) To them also. (18:13) So they went to the people, they are jinns also. (18:16) All the jinns in the world now know about this message and the miracle in my field. Speaker 3 (18:25) So what does it mean when it says, Lord of the two Easts and two Wests? Speaker 1 (18:31) Again, it's the sunrise and moonrise, sunset and moonset. (18:34) Or according to the rules of... (18:36) If you ever think of that term, that astronomical term, then you can call the astronomy department again and see what this means. (18:45) How can you express it in an English word? Speaker 4 (18:47) There is one word that says exactly that. Speaker 1 (18:49) Yes, we have the best astronomy department here. (18:52) One of the best in the world. Speaker 10 (18:54) Yes. Speaker 1 (18:56) OK, since you are familiar with them by now. (19:00) Keep calling them. (19:02) Ask them how can you express in one English word the rise of Saturn and Jupiter and Mars and Venus and the Moon. Speaker 3 (19:09) Can't you say rise of the planet? Speaker 1 (19:12) Yes, that will explain it. (19:13) The planet rises, so we say sunrise, moonrise, sunset, moonset. (19:17) Yes, the rise of the planet is a good expression. (19:20) We're getting there. (19:21) Except it's not just the planet. Speaker 4 (19:23) Actually, the best way to express it is the aspect of the rise of the planet. Speaker 1 (19:30) The rise of the stars in the planet. Speaker 4 (19:31) Because this is easy to understand. Speaker 1 (19:32) The rise of the heavenly bodies. (19:33) Yes, if you use the technical term, people will distract you. Speaker 3 (19:37) But they won't know. (19:38) Heavenly bodies will confuse them. Speaker 1 (19:41) Yes. (19:41) Well, let's see what they come up with. (19:44) They come up with a beautiful word to express it. (19:48) Yes, that's a good idea also. (19:50) But anyway, this is what east means in number five. (19:53) Number six, we have adorned the lowest heaven with beautiful stars. (19:58) Those billion, trillion stars are in the lowest, innermost, and smallest of the seven universes. (20:06) Number seven, and guarded it from every evil devil. (20:10) This is the prison cell for Satan and all his angels, the devils. (20:16) Satan and his angels. (20:18) It's a good expression. Speaker 3 (20:19) Why do you use Satan and his angels? Speaker 1 (20:22) Because Satan is a temporary God here. (20:24) And the devils are his angels. (20:26) They help him, they work for him. Speaker 3 (20:28) But we shouldn't call them angels. Speaker 1 (20:30) Well, Satan's angels. Speaker 3 (20:32) Yes, you can use this expression. Speaker 1 (20:33) For example, God calls the believers. (20:37) The believers say, kafarna bishrkifu. (20:39) We are cathers of their idolatry. (20:42) But the word cather is generally used for disbelievers. (20:45) So, you can use that. (20:48) Actually, it's a very expressive term. Speaker 3 (20:50) Yes, it is very expressive, but it is confusing if somebody doesn't already know a lot about the Quran. Speaker 1 (20:56) Well, but when you say Satan's angels, it's understandable. Speaker 3 (21:00) Yes. Speaker 1 (21:01) Once you say Satan's angels. (21:02) Actually, it paints a picture of a God with a small g and his assistant. (21:08) Like a K.O. gang. Speaker 3 (21:10) Yes, K.O. gang. Speaker 1 (21:12) What was like a gang? (21:15) Okay, number seven. (21:16) Guardians from every evil devil. (21:18) They cannot spy on the high society. (21:20) They get shot from every side. (21:23) They are doomed. (21:24) They have incurred an eternal distribution. (21:26) If any of them ventures to charge the outer limits, he gets struck with a fierce projectile. (21:32) Ask them, are they more difficult to create? (21:35) Or our other creations? (21:37) We created them from wet mud. (21:41) Of course, it is from the evolution point of view, wet mud is significant, which is water. Speaker 3 (21:46) You know, Reshma told me that. (21:48) Because God keeps repeating that he created us, life came from water, and then he said he made us from clay. (21:54) So, I said, my God, you know, and Reshma said, mummy, how simple it is. (21:58) He just took clay and he mixed it with water and he made you. Speaker 1 (22:01) Yes. Speaker 3 (22:01) He told me that. (22:02) Good technique. (22:05) Good technique. Speaker 1 (22:07) Evolution is a divinely guided process. (22:10) Number twelve. (22:12) While you are odd, they mock. (22:14) How true this is. (22:17) We are odd. (22:18) We are odd. (22:20) And they mock and ridicule. (22:21) They are worried for our necks. (22:23) When reminded, they take no heed. (22:27) When they see proof, they ridicule it. (22:30) They say, this is obviously magic. (22:33) After we die and become dust and bones, do we get resurrected? (22:37) Now, this is number sixteen. (22:38) I always emphasize, because if you take the total picture of the Quran, this is not what they utter audibly, it's something in their mind, inside their heart. Speaker 3 (22:47) Yes, they keep thinking. Speaker 1 (22:47) Even they are not aware of it. Speaker 3 (22:49) I used to think like this too. (22:52) Even though, you know, I'm a Muhammad, I used to be a Muhammad. (22:56) I used to think exactly, how am I going to be reborn? Speaker 1 (22:59) Right. (23:00) Well, it's a natural question for a growing person. (23:05) That's why God gives us forty years to think about it. (23:07) To ask these questions. (23:11) Seventeen. Speaker 7 (23:13) Yes? (23:14) Red mud. (23:16) The mud is, you know, when you talk about mud, you know it's red. (23:20) Mud that has a... (23:23) Skin and leather. (23:24) ...using the same mud. Speaker 1 (23:27) It means a lot of water. (23:30) Mud that has a lot of water in it. (23:32) Skin and leather. (23:37) Okay, let's take, you have clay, you're holding clay in your hand. (23:40) If you add water to it, what happens? (23:43) It becomes mud. (23:45) It becomes mud already. (23:47) It's mud already. (23:49) Wet. (23:49) If you're holding it in your hand, you add more water, what happens? Speaker 3 (23:52) Becomes wet mud. (23:53) He wants you to say that. Speaker 1 (23:54) No, becomes softer. (23:55) You can't even hold it in your hand. (23:56) You have to put more water. (23:58) That's all the description here. (24:00) Skin and leather, here, means you can't hold it in your hand. Speaker 9 (24:03) Oh. Speaker 1 (24:04) Because you have to put it in a glass. Speaker 9 (24:06) Oh. Speaker 1 (24:09) Very soft. Speaker 10 (24:13) Oh. Speaker 1 (24:14) Wet mud. (24:16) Well, seventeen. (24:17) Even our ancient ancestors say, yes, you will be forced. (24:22) It's not up to you. (24:24) Nineteen, all it takes is one nudge, whereupon they stand up looking. (24:28) They will say, woe to us, this is the day of judgment. (24:32) Oops, it's going to be a very popular word. (24:35) To be nice about it. Speaker 7 (24:41) Like that. Speaker 6 (24:54) Like this and like that. (24:58) Ouch. (25:01) Twenty-one. Speaker 1 (25:05) Twenty-one. (25:19) Don't worry about spouses. (25:20) It's very rare that two spouses make it. (25:24) It's very rare. (25:26) It's rare to make it. (25:27) To have two people in the same town make it. (25:30) Let alone. (25:33) Some of the transgressors and their spouses and the idols they worship beside God, guide them to the face of hell. (25:40) Stop them and ask them. (25:41) Twenty-five. (25:43) Why do you not help one another? (25:44) What happened to you? (25:46) They will be on that day totally submissive. (25:51) No more temporary godhood to anybody. (25:54) This is over. (25:57) Mutual blaming. (25:58) Twenty-seven. (25:59) They will blame one another. Speaker 3 (26:01) Can I ask something? (26:03) Sure. (26:03) A spy on the higher society means God and above the lowest universe. Speaker 1 (26:10) Right, beyond the first universe where there are major decisions being made. (26:14) For example, one angel is charged with sending an asteroid to hit Saudi Arabia. Speaker 10 (26:20) Right. Speaker 1 (26:21) And that angel is coming on the way and they are talking to each other. (26:24) The jinns, if they have access to that area, they will hear it. (26:31) And they will come and do something about it. Speaker 3 (26:33) You say like that, but then in the Quran it says the jinn are so dumb sometimes. (26:38) Because remember when Solomon died, they couldn't even make out that he was dead for a while. Speaker 1 (26:41) But when he fell down, they knew. (26:42) Then they knew. Speaker 3 (26:44) Right. Speaker 1 (26:45) Obviously, one angel is telling the other one that he is going at the speed of a million times the speed of light. (26:51) Where are you going? (26:52) You want to send an asteroid to Saudi Arabia? (26:55) Everybody will hear that. (26:57) Everybody in the vicinity. Speaker 4 (26:59) No, no, they may be communicating mentally. Speaker 1 (27:03) And these guys can... (27:04) Yeah, I'm just putting it on our terms. (27:07) They can intercept the communication. (27:09) They can intercept the communication. (27:11) Yes. Speaker 3 (27:11) You tell this to the people, they think you are crazy. Speaker 1 (27:14) Yes. (27:15) They don't. Speaker 4 (27:15) They just can't comprehend it. (27:18) They don't believe. (27:19) Look, let me tell you something. (27:21) Most people, most people don't really believe that they are going to die. (27:25) No, no, they know they are going to die. Speaker 3 (27:27) You are cutting the Quran. (27:29) They believe they are not going to die. Speaker 4 (27:31) In their heart. (27:31) Yes. (27:32) Those who cross their hearts, cross their minds that they are going to die. (27:35) Not me. Speaker 11 (27:37) He can't even see it very well. (27:40) Right. Speaker 4 (27:43) It happens all around them and they forget it very quickly enough. (27:49) It's all somebody else. (27:50) So when you tell them they are coming back, forget it. Speaker 1 (27:57) You know, it amazed me when we calculated the end of the world. (28:01) It amazed me how many people were really upset. (28:04) I never forget the Mufti of Syria. (28:06) He was announced in Nigeria in the conference. (28:09) And this guy was pounding. (28:10) I'm sure he broke a few bones in his hand. (28:12) He was pounding on the thing. (28:13) It comes to you too suddenly. Speaker 4 (28:17) It comes to you suddenly. (28:19) I told him that. Speaker 1 (28:20) I said, for you it will. (28:23) 13 times in the Quran, only for the disbelievers it will come suddenly. (28:27) Because he was quoting this expression in the Quran. (28:30) And consistent in the Quran, only the disbelievers, it will come to them suddenly. (28:34) And that guy went through fits, you know. (28:37) Because really they don't believe in it. (28:38) Some kind of active epilepsy. Speaker 3 (28:44) Why did he create us in the first place? (28:48) I mean, just even a thought, why? Speaker 1 (28:50) God? Speaker 3 (28:51) Yes. Speaker 1 (28:52) Are you related to Adeem? (28:54) No. Speaker 10 (28:56) Why? Speaker 1 (28:58) We will know why. Speaker 3 (29:00) Because he turned to the vast lifeless universe and said, be. (29:06) Why? Speaker 1 (29:07) Well, I have to quote God's quote in the Quran. (29:10) You don't ask him why. (29:12) I did already. Speaker 3 (29:13) Why you did that? Speaker 1 (29:16) For the sake of knowing. (29:18) The creation of the universe is for this test. (29:20) Yes, I know that. (29:21) No, she meant even initially. Speaker 4 (29:24) Initially? (29:24) Yes. Speaker 3 (29:25) This is already too far gone. Speaker 4 (29:27) Do you know the answer? (29:28) The answer I always give Shakira, on the day of judgment, ask. (29:32) I will. Speaker 3 (29:33) Inshallah. Speaker 1 (29:34) Of course, we will know anyway. Speaker 10 (29:36) You know. (29:36) Everything will be known. (29:37) I will know. Speaker 1 (29:38) Yes, the purpose. (29:42) But even as far as this universe is concerned, no, he does tell you why. Speaker 10 (29:47) Yes. Speaker 1 (29:47) He says, we will not create the heavens and the earth except for a specific purpose. Speaker 3 (29:51) And also not for us to play. (29:53) It is stated in Surah 67. (29:55) Not to play. (29:56) Not to play, but for hard work. (29:58) He didn't create it for playing. Speaker 4 (30:00) Right. Speaker 3 (30:00) It's for hard work. (30:01) We have to work hard. (30:02) The human being has to work hard. Speaker 4 (30:05) No, no. (30:07) Is that what it meant? (30:09) No, I think. Speaker 1 (30:10) For example, why are you awake now? (30:16) Ismail, why are you awake now? (30:17) Why are you awake now? Speaker 4 (30:19) Because I'm here. (30:20) Had I been elsewhere, I'd have been fast asleep. Speaker 1 (30:22) No, you still wake up for Fajr. Speaker 4 (30:26) I think what Shakira is saying, Arshad, is that Allah Subh'anaHu Wa Ta-A'la, I don't know where, the Prophet, he says that he did not create this universe. (30:38) Please. (30:38) He says the life on this earth is not for us to play. (30:40) not to be taken seriously. Speaker 9 (30:46) I don't understand what you're saying. Speaker 1 (30:50) You're not supposed to play. Speaker 10 (30:51) I'm sure we know. Speaker 1 (30:52) We understand it exactly alike. Speaker 10 (30:54) I'm positive. (30:56) I'm positive we understand the same thing. Speaker 1 (30:58) This is why you are up now. (31:00) We are working hard right now. Speaker 3 (31:03) We are working hard right now. Speaker 4 (31:05) We are having a good time, mashaAllah. Speaker 1 (31:10) But if you didn't come across this message, you'd be fast asleep at this moment, right now. Speaker 3 (31:16) Yeah, so according to God, this is work. (31:18) This is work. Speaker 1 (31:19) Here comes my favorite impersonation. (31:20) They're all... Speaker 3 (31:22) He says in the Quran that it is very hard for you to get up in the morning and pray. (31:27) I know that it is hard for you to get up and pray in the morning, but not so for the believers. (31:31) He says you will get up if you're a believer. (31:33) It will not be hard for you. (31:35) So that's why you say like that, because you're a good believer and it's not hard for you to get up. (31:39) It's not hard for you to get up. (31:40) It used to be. (31:42) But it is not, mashaAllah. Speaker 1 (31:43) I have to beat him up. Speaker 10 (31:46) MashaAllah. Speaker 1 (31:49) And he specifically says about the morning prayer. (31:52) Especially Ismail, because he's a night owl. (31:55) He goes to bed like two or three in the morning, and in Vancouver, the night is half an hour. Speaker 3 (32:00) But you know, I'm so afraid to miss one namaz. Speaker 1 (32:07) I'm so afraid. Speaker 3 (32:09) I just can't. (32:10) I panic. (32:11) I have to be up. (32:13) Otherwise I panic. Speaker 1 (32:14) It gets easier and easier. (32:15) At first it's difficult. (32:17) Then it becomes easier. (32:18) But for Ismail, you missed what I said. (32:20) The night in Vancouver is half an hour. (32:24) You pray Isha and then you shouldn't sleep. (32:27) Stick around for 20 more minutes and then pray. Speaker 4 (32:30) That's what I do. (32:34) The night shawl. Speaker 1 (32:36) In the summer. Speaker 3 (32:37) You know, Vancouver, when I was in Vancouver, I used to get up and pray. (33:14) We went up to the Arctic Pole. (33:18) We went up to thesty. (33:20) We went up to Denali National Park. Speaker 1 (33:22) She's been aflame since then. Speaker 3 (33:27) Anchorage is so beautiful. Speaker 1 (33:29) In Ramadan, we have just very little time to drink. Speaker 4 (33:37) It's just as bad as the life you have to lead. (33:38) Anyway, it's impossible to eat two meals. Speaker 1 (33:41) Yes, I know. (33:42) Are you hungry? Speaker 3 (33:45) That is going to be my diet, because I eat so little, that if I don't eat two times a day, it's hard for Me. Speaker 1 (33:52) You've got to make it easy. Speaker 4 (33:53) It will be an additional price. (33:55) Just like getting up. Speaker 1 (33:57) Yes. (33:58) It's the same thing. (33:59) The first three days are going to be difficult for that, sir. (34:02) I totally accept it. (34:03) Shri Mataji was saying that she was listening to the talk show radio. Speaker 7 (34:06) And the doctors were talking about the diet. (34:11) Like you start eating several things, then they come to the conclusion that after 15 or 16 hours, if your body does not get any food, it's found that the body provides like an antibiotic that cleans the whole body. (34:29) Yes, that's right. Speaker 1 (34:31) So what does it do? Speaker 7 (34:32) It cures everything. Speaker 1 (34:32) What does it do? (34:34) It cleans the body. (34:35) The body. Speaker 3 (34:36) What did they find out? Speaker 1 (34:37) Like a hormone. (34:38) This doctor was speaking. Speaker 6 (34:40) Go ahead. (34:42) They found out after 14 hours, if you do not eat anything, the body provides for you. Speaker 1 (34:48) Like an antibody or hormones. (34:50) That cleans the whole body. (34:54) It's like a rotarotor on cholesterol. (34:58) If you use it, it's all good for you. (35:02) The body produces a rotarotor to clean the veins. (35:06) I believe it. (35:10) Ramadan will be, it's getting shorter and shorter every day. (35:14) It's going to be March. (35:15) This year is March 27th. Speaker 4 (35:17) No, Ramadan in Beirut around Christmas time is fantastic. Speaker 1 (35:22) Yes. Speaker 4 (35:29) You know, all I used to do was, I don't usually eat a big lunch anyway, but all I did was miss my coffee in the morning and my coffee in the afternoon. (35:39) That was the extent of... Speaker 1 (35:42) These guys laugh at me all the time when I go to Vancouver, because I'm all confused about the time. (35:47) That's why you asked me that. (35:48) You didn't have four hours yet. Speaker 12 (35:52) When I go up there in the summer, I normally go to bed early. (35:57) I tend to go to bed and then wake up and play the night, because I've already gone to bed before the night. (36:03) Then I have to wake up and play the night and then go back to bed. Speaker 4 (36:07) Yeah, I do this a lot in summer. (36:09) I go to bed and then wake up for Isha, and then stay up for Fajr and then go to bed. Speaker 1 (36:20) It's a lot of fun, isn't it? (36:21) Maybe a minute's BC every day. Speaker 3 (36:25) Definitely Ramadan is starting on 27th? (36:27) Inshallah, yes. (36:28) Inshallah. (36:28) But why do they make such a big deal about the moon and this and that? (36:32) I mean, every year there's a big hassle. (36:34) There's a big hassle, I mean, they can never... Speaker 4 (36:39) They screw up every year. Speaker 1 (36:40) Every year. Speaker 3 (36:41) Every year. Speaker 1 (36:41) They never pass it. Speaker 3 (36:42) Always, you know, we have... (36:44) India has one Eid and Pakistan has another Eid. (36:47) All the time. (36:49) Every time. Speaker 4 (36:50) In Egypt now, they use astronomical rules. Speaker 1 (36:55) No, they don't. (36:55) They write it down. (36:57) Astronomically, Ramadan will begin on March 27th. (37:00) But the stupid Mufti has to tell them it's the 28th or the 26th. (37:04) It's never the right day. (37:07) I mean, he seems to go out of his way to oppose the astronomical. Speaker 3 (37:11) And Eid will be on 25th? (37:14) 26th. (37:15) 26th. Speaker 1 (37:15) Last day is 25th, April 25th. Speaker 4 (37:17) And, you know, they come up with the dumbest obfuscation that it is impossible to determine when the moon will appear. (37:24) What are you talking about? (37:26) North Americans put a guy at a certain spot within two feet of the spot on the moon where it's supposed to be. (37:33) And you guys can't even see it. (37:34) Jesus Christ. Speaker 3 (37:38) Is it OK to say Jesus Christ? (37:40) No. Speaker 1 (37:41) But I say it all the time. Speaker 3 (37:45) Jesus, I say Jesus all the time. Speaker 1 (37:48) Jesus, yes, maybe. (37:50) I say cheese, so. Speaker 3 (37:52) It's mine. (37:54) I can't say Jesus Christ? Speaker 1 (37:55) No. Speaker 3 (37:56) You have to avoid it. (37:58) Why? (37:59) Because you grew up with it. Speaker 1 (38:01) I know, but I mean, I'm asking why you say Jesus Christ. (38:04) It's a commemoration. Speaker 4 (38:07) But usually you say it in negative terms. Speaker 1 (38:11) But Satan doesn't know that. (38:12) Satan finds a new thing. (38:13) He's commemorating Jesus Christ. Speaker 4 (38:14) He doesn't believe Jesus is dead. (38:16) Really? Speaker 1 (38:17) Jesus will take the appearances. (38:21) I like Jesus. Speaker 4 (38:22) Can you stop this now? Speaker 1 (38:24) Yes, definitely. Speaker 4 (38:26) That was very good. (38:27) The last time, you see. Speaker 1 (38:28) Yeah. (38:29) You see, Satan hates you. (38:30) You know that. (38:31) And he will play dumb. (38:33) Say, it's my barakah. (38:34) It's commemorating Jesus Christ. (38:36) God will tell Satan, you know what he means, and I know what he means. (38:39) I don't care, Satan. (38:40) Try David. (38:41) He's the biggest try David. Speaker 10 (38:42) He is. Speaker 1 (38:43) The biggest try David. (38:44) Yes. (38:45) And invariably, God will grant him, because we give him the excuse. (38:50) So God grants him his excuse. (38:54) It's OK. (38:55) Go fix my... Speaker 3 (38:57) I'll say something, but then everybody has to... (39:00) God has to forgive me. (39:01) Sometimes I think you are getting bored. (39:04) Who? (39:04) God. Speaker 1 (39:05) No, no, no. (39:07) The people in heaven, this way, she said. (39:11) Because even in heaven, the creatures will never be bored. (39:14) This is two things that will never happen in heaven. (39:16) Being bored and being tired. Speaker 3 (39:19) He didn't say bored. (39:20) He said, I will take away your worry, I will take away your jealousy, I will take away your tiredness. (39:24) He didn't say, I'll take away your bored. Speaker 1 (39:26) Yes, yes. (39:26) Bored, yes. (39:27) Bored? (39:27) He took away being bored. (39:29) You'll never be bored. Speaker 3 (39:30) It says that in the Quran. Speaker 1 (39:31) Yes. (39:32) Surah 14 or 15, I forget. Speaker 3 (39:33) OK, don't worry about it. Speaker 1 (39:34) Yes, take my word for it. Speaker 4 (39:39) But you're awfully boring, you know, because you've got a couple of trillion years. Speaker 3 (39:44) I know. (39:45) I keep teaching, I do pelvics there. Speaker 1 (39:49) Yep, anything you want. Speaker 13 (39:54) Every day will be different. (39:57) There are no days. Speaker 4 (39:58) There's one day. (39:59) I know. (40:00) There's one last day. (40:02) There can't be any days because the days are... Speaker 3 (40:05) It will be everlasting. (40:06) We don't know whether it will be day or night or what. Speaker 1 (40:09) One last day. Speaker 3 (40:11) Will we sleep? (40:12) I don't know. Speaker 1 (40:14) It will be fun. (40:16) Mutual blaming, 27. (40:18) They will blame one another. (40:20) They will say to their leaders, you used to come to us from the right side, meaning pretending to be righteous. Speaker 10 (40:26) Yes. Speaker 1 (40:27) From the right side. (40:28) And 29, they will respond, it is you who were not believers. (40:33) We never had any power over you. (40:34) It is you who were transgressors. (40:37) We incurred our Lord's wrath and now we have to suffer. (40:40) We misled you only because we ourselves were misled. (40:44) Thus, they will all suffer the retribution on that day together. (40:48) This is how we required the gift. (40:50) Now why are they in this bad position? (40:51) Because of the following verses. (40:53) When they were told, La ilaha illallah, there is no other god beside God, they turned arrogant. (41:00) This is invariably the case. (41:02) Tell them La ilaha illallah, they beat you up. (41:05) In fact, I have it on video. (41:08) If you watch this video of Bilal Phillips, I have this video of Bilal Phillips. (41:14) Now Rashad Khalifa exposed himself. (41:17) He says La ilaha illallah and that's it. (41:19) Can you imagine that? (41:20) He is telling the truth. (41:21) All he says is La ilaha illallah. (41:23) Doesn't this guy think? Speaker 4 (41:24) You know what to say is that the hadith that he accepts says if you say La ilaha illallah, you are guaranteed paradise. Speaker 1 (41:29) Yes. (41:30) Even the Qur'an, even the Jews and the Christians who say La ilaha illallah, they make it to heaven. (41:36) You know the theme of this Qur'an at the very beginning? Speaker 4 (41:38) Yes. Speaker 1 (41:39) If you believe in God. Speaker 4 (41:41) Surah 262. Speaker 1 (41:42) Exactly. (41:43) So even the Jews and the Christians obviously don't recognize Muhammad at all. (41:46) Even the Jews who say La ilaha illallah, they go to heaven. (41:49) And this guy, I have it here on the video. Speaker 13 (41:51) Anybody can see it. Speaker 1 (41:52) And he is saying Rashad Khalifa has gone completely bananas now. (41:56) All he says is La ilaha illallah. (41:59) What is that? Speaker 4 (42:01) When he says La ilaha illallah, La ilaha illallah Muhammadur Rasulallah. Speaker 1 (42:04) Yes. Speaker 3 (42:06) You know I have such a habit for it that sometimes I automatically say and then I just It took you a few months to get rid of it. (42:14) Yes, that's true. (42:15) Shahada, what does Shahada mean? (42:17) Witness? (42:18) Shahada is witness. (42:19) The word Shahada means witness. Speaker 1 (42:20) Did Paris share with you her discovery? Speaker 3 (42:23) No, what? Speaker 1 (42:24) That was a very significant discovery when she was here the last time. Speaker 3 (42:28) Why? Speaker 1 (42:29) She said in the Qur'an we witnessed God. Speaker 3 (42:32) Oh yes. Speaker 1 (42:33) Did she tell you? (42:34) Yes. (42:35) But we never witnessed any of the messengers. Speaker 3 (42:38) Yeah, of course we witnessed God. (42:40) Because it says very clearly. Speaker 1 (42:41) Yes. (42:42) And that's why God states the Shahada in the Qur'an in 318 as La ilaha illallah. (42:47) And here it is again, 35. (42:49) Why are they in this dilemma? (42:50) When they were told La ilaha illallah, they turned arrogant. Speaker 3 (42:53) No, but in the Qur'an. Speaker 1 (42:54) They said, shall we leave our gods for the sake of a crazy poet? (43:00) Wow. (43:02) Look what this guy said. Speaker 3 (43:03) But in that verse God says, remember he brought us all in front of him. Speaker 1 (43:09) Yes. Speaker 3 (43:10) And then, so it's very clear there. Speaker 1 (43:11) Yes. Speaker 3 (43:12) That we saw him and he told us that. Speaker 1 (43:14) Yes, and the word Shahada is used, do you bear witness I am your Lord? Speaker 3 (43:17) Yes. Speaker 1 (43:17) And we said, we bear witness. Speaker 10 (43:19) Yes. Speaker 1 (43:20) How do you Shahadna? (43:20) I mean, they use, God uses the same word. (43:23) Oh, you didn't hear this before. (43:25) That's a very good point that you just brought up. (43:28) No. Speaker 4 (43:29) The word Shahada only applies to God. Speaker 1 (43:32) No, but it's a fact. (43:34) God says, So this is in the Qur'an that every human being on earth So good. (43:46) bear witness that God is our Lord. (43:49) Yes, but that's very careful. (43:51) If you never witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of God, or Isa is the Messenger of God, or anybody is the Messenger of God. Speaker 10 (43:55) Yes. Speaker 1 (43:57) So to say, So this is why God says, when the hypocrites say, God says, God knows you are his Messenger and God knows they are liars. (44:08) Because they are stating a lie. (44:10) Even though the body is witness, but the person, the soul is never witness that. (44:16) That's a very good point. (44:18) No. (44:18) 36. (44:45) They will be honoured there in the gardens of bliss, on fencing close to one another, enjoying cups of pure drinks, clear and delicious for the drinkers, never polluted, never exhausted. (44:58) With them will be beautiful or handsome companions, protected like fragile eggs. Speaker 10 (45:05) Not too handsome. Speaker 1 (45:07) The people of heaven visit the people of hell. (45:10) They will confer with one another. (45:11) One will say, I used to have a friend who used to mock. (45:15) Do you believe all this? (45:17) After we die and turn into dust and bones, we get resurrected, it will be proclaimed, just take a look. (45:23) When he looks, he will see his friend in the heart of hell. (45:26) He will go to him and say. (45:29) Now, number 57. (45:30) Wow. (45:34) Surah 57 is where we see the disbelievers begging for some energy, some light from the believers in hell. (45:42) Do you know those light bugs, Ismail? (45:45) Those light bugs? (45:46) When the believers go to visit their friends, because the main feature of hell is darkness. (45:52) There will be like the light fireflies, the light bugs. (45:57) And the 57, the disbelievers are begging, say, let's have some of your light. (46:02) You'll be starving for energy. (46:05) And we see it here again in 57. (46:08) 56, he will go to him and say, by God, you almost ruled me. (46:13) If it were not for my Lord's grace, I would have been with you now. (46:18) 58, do we, do you still believe that we die only the first death, then we never are requited? (46:33) 60, such is the greatest triumph. (46:36) This is what every worker should work for. (46:39) Is this a better destiny or the sea of bitterness? (46:41) We have rendered it a test for the transgressors. (46:46) It is a tree that grows in the heart of hell. (46:50) Its flowers are like the devil's heads. (46:52) They will eat from it until their bellies are full, then pop it with a heavy string, a couple of bloody marys. (47:04) Then they return to hell. (47:06) They follow their parents blindly. (47:08) So I'm going to stop right here, and we have no questions. (47:12) Page 214. Speaker 6 (47:21) Page 214. Speaker 1 (47:38) Some of them look at you, but can you guide the blind, even though they do not see? (47:46) God never wrongs the people, it is the people who wrong their own souls. (47:50) On the day when he summons all of them, they will feel as if they lasted in this world only one hour, during which they met losers indeed, and those who disbelieved in meeting God. (48:05) They are not blind. (48:07) Whether we show you some of the retribution we promised them, or terminate your life before that, to us is the ultimate return. (48:16) God is witnessing everything they do. (48:21) 46 is a repeated verse in the Quran, and it really means that the people who advocate God alone will be ridiculed always by somebody. (48:38) The last day of their lives is what it means. (48:43) So whether we show you some of the retribution we promised them, or terminate your life before that, to us is the ultimate return. (48:50) God is witnessing everything they do. (48:53) To each community a messenger is sent. (48:57) Once their messenger comes, they are judged equitably, without the least injustice. (49:05) I may have to go back a bit and make it clearer. (49:14) Community... (49:14) People think community like Eastern Hill subdivision or something like that. (49:19) I think community in the Quran means like the Christians, Jesus, the Jews, Moses, the Muslims, Muhammad. (49:32) This is what community means. (49:37) So it is not a community or a generation. (49:42) It's a congregation. (49:43) It could be the congregation. (49:45) To each congregation a messenger. (49:48) People have the Baptist, the Presbyterian. (49:52) There are different congregations. (49:59) Yeah, something like that. (50:06) What's ummah in Persian? (50:08) What's the expression you get? Speaker 6 (50:11) Group of people. (50:14) This is Arabic. (50:16) You just use it. Speaker 1 (50:17) But you don't have the word ummah. (50:19) So when you hear it in Persian, how big a group is it? (50:26) How do you apply it in Persian? Speaker 6 (50:28) It's just a big group. Speaker 1 (50:32) In the Quran this is what it means. (50:34) You don't have to express that. (50:37) I'm going to go to... Speaker 6 (50:38) This word in Persian is not used except in the translation of the Quran. (50:44) No, it's not in the daily language. (50:47) No. Speaker 1 (50:48) Like the ummah must listen to this. (50:52) You know like the normal people, they use that. (50:56) Because of the way that they are. (50:58) Yes, the ummah is in trouble. (51:00) Which means the whole Muslim ummah. (51:02) Right. (51:04) It means all the Muslims in the world. (51:08) They challenge, when will this asteroid come to hit us if you are telling the truth? (51:14) The Messenger possesses no power. (51:16) Say, I possess no power to even harm myself or benefit myself. (51:20) It is God who will decide that. (51:21) Only what God wills takes place. (51:24) Each community has a predetermined lifespan. (51:27) Once their interim comes to an end, they cannot delay it by one hour, nor advance it. (51:36) Say, now here, each community has a predetermined lifespan. (51:43) Community here is like the Roman Empire, for example. (51:47) There's a time for it, the Byzantine Empire. Speaker 10 (51:52) The American Empire. Speaker 1 (51:57) It's like a whole nation, a country. (52:06) Say, whether his retribution comes to you by night or by day, why are they guilty in such a hurry? (52:13) If it does happen, will you believe them? (52:17) Why should you believe them when you already have challenged it to come? (52:21) They may be like Pharaoh, when they see the asteroid coming. Speaker 8 (52:27) Really? (52:29) Oh, really? (52:31) Oh, wow. (52:33) Hm? Speaker 6 (52:38) You're kidding! (52:39) And you're sitting there in the corner, quiet. Speaker 1 (52:42) I haven't seen the pharaoh. (52:44) Is it? Speaker 6 (52:45) How did you know? (52:47) Oh, I read it. Speaker 10 (52:51) Where have you gone? Speaker 6 (52:59) One piece. (53:04) He's just sitting there. (53:06) Here it is. (53:08) One hour of broiling. (53:11) Wow. Speaker 1 (53:15) One hour broiling. (53:18) H. (53:18) J. (53:19) Milos believes a meteor may have hit the planet. (53:24) Yes, a firestorm that destroyed most life on Earth. (53:30) This is a guy who published an article. (53:32) He even has pictures and illustrations. Speaker 8 (53:34) Look what is ahead, the Arabs. (53:36) Look at the map. Speaker 1 (53:37) No, that's Europe. (53:41) Thank you. (53:43) A comet or asteroid slams into Earth. (53:47) Oh, I wish I could put this in there. (53:49) Should Islam. (53:51) Yes. (53:54) Vaporized rock and debris caused by the impact shoot into space. (54:02) Vaporized smoke. (54:03) Vaporized rock. (54:06) As the debris re-enters the atmosphere, each of the trillions of grains of sand will generate 1,800 to 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit incoming debris with surface uplift incoming debris. (54:29) Thermal radiation cloud source is seen above. (54:33) Who is he? (54:35) Imagine the entire sky erupting with fire. (54:42) Smoke from the sky. (54:48) Now feel the heat from such a horror. (54:52) Ten times hotter than high noon on a July day in the Arizona desert. (54:59) Hot enough to ignite much of the world's forests. (55:02) Like, like so much timber. (55:06) Hot enough to burn sticks, dinosaur sticks. (55:12) So this is U.A. planetary scientist H.J. Mellor and his colleagues. (55:17) Say in an article published this week in Nature. (55:19) OK, this is all I'm stressing about. (55:21) Last week in Nature. (55:24) Mm-hmm. (55:27) I'll get the Nature magazine. (55:28) Yes, finally. (55:30) Yeah, I have to rewrite the article now. (55:42) Thanks a lot for working with us. (55:45) Thanks for your job. (55:46) Great job. (55:47) Stand there, no customers. (55:48) What to do? (55:50) Let me listen to what you are saying in Somali. (55:53) See that bird is still alive? Speaker 6 (55:57) Still kicking. Speaker 1 (56:03) Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. (56:05) 51. (56:06) If it does happen, will you believe then? (56:10) Why should you believe then when you already have challenged it to come? (56:15) It will be said to the transgressors, taste the eternal retribution. (56:19) Are you not requited precisely for what you earned? (56:23) They challenge you to prophesy. (56:25) Is this really what is happening? (56:27) Say, yes, indeed, by my Lord. (56:29) This is the truth, and you can never escape. (56:32) I think this is applicable to both the perspective, because this is a crucial perspective. (56:40) What price do you pay? (56:42) 54. (56:43) If any wicked soul possessed everything on earth, it would readily offer it as ransom. (56:49) They would be ridden with remorse when they see the retribution. (56:55) They would be judged equitably without the least injustice. (56:58) The thing about these asteroids is that they can come in any sizes, you know. (57:08) I mean, this is what he says killed the dinosaurs. (57:14) So it doesn't have to be this size. (57:17) They can come in any size. (57:19) Everything would be measured. (57:21) And the description, so to put it forward, is that, obviously, it could not end life on earth. Speaker 8 (57:25) And also, it hit different places on earth. (57:28) The dinosaurs hit so many areas, and all earth became united. (57:36) It's only one area. Speaker 1 (57:38) This will be just another area. Speaker 8 (57:39) I don't know. Speaker 1 (57:48) You don't say what this building is, huh? Speaker 8 (57:52) Is that the globe? Speaker 1 (57:53) I don't know. (57:55) I don't know if it's a globe or not. (57:58) I think it's a globe. (57:59) I don't know. Speaker 9 (58:00) No, no. Speaker 1 (58:04) It looks like a rock. Speaker 9 (58:06) Yeah. (58:07) Yeah. (58:10) 95% iron and 5% metal. Speaker 1 (58:13) When you do one just as big as this mosque, inside that area, that's good. Speaker 6 (58:19) Four miles can be. (58:23) This is what we don't know. (58:26) I'm sure it depends on the velocity of the object and the size and how much area is in it. Speaker 8 (58:34) 40,000 miles an hour. Speaker 1 (58:40) Should be the same. Speaker 8 (58:44) 40,000. Speaker 6 (58:47) And it's coming from the two planets hitting each other. (58:54) No, no, they don't have to. (58:56) They don't have to? (58:58) So what is it? Speaker 1 (58:59) When they hit each other, there will be a number of them. (59:02) When they break into pieces, all the pieces will fall. Speaker 6 (59:07) So this is where they're coming from? (59:09) The two planets hit each other? Speaker 1 (59:12) They're pieces of meteorites floating in space. (59:16) Billions of them. (59:19) There's one now that intersects the orbit of the Earth. (59:23) You know what this means? (59:24) Did you hear it yesterday? (59:25) The Earth's orbit around the sun is like this. (59:28) So the Earth is here, the asteroid goes in the orbit like that. (59:34) And then comes back and hits the orbit. (59:37) So one of those times the Earth will be that far. (59:41) It doesn't have to be that far. (59:47) The five daily prayers are so important that women... (59:54) Definitely. (59:56) Because this is a daily. Speaker 3 (1:00:10) You can't really divide it like this. Speaker 1 (1:00:16) A righteous person will do all of it. Speaker 3 (1:00:18) But I have a feeling you have a computer and you just have a feeling that comes out easily. Speaker 1 (1:00:22) Yes, yes, that too. (1:00:24) Every time you say subhanAllah the computer clicks. (1:00:28) And this is exactly what one should feel. (1:00:33) That whatever righteous work they do does not go... Speaker 2 (1:00:42) Who believe. (1:00:43) Do not befriend outsiders who never cease to wish you harm and wish to see you suffer. (1:00:50) Hatred shows through their mouths and what their chest hides is even worse. (1:00:55) We have clarified the revelations for you that you may understand. (1:01:01) 119 Here you are loving them while they do not love you and you believe in all this scripture. (1:01:08) When they meet with you they say we believe. (1:01:13) Then as soon as they leave they bite their fingers out of rage towards you. (1:01:18) Say, die in your rage. (1:01:21) God is fully aware of the innermost thoughts. (1:01:25) 120 When something good touches you they hurt. (1:01:30) And when something bad happens to you they rejoice. (1:01:33) If you steadfastly persevere and maintain righteousness their schemes will never hurt you. (1:01:39) God controls everything they do. (1:01:41) I stop here because I think these three are related to each other under the title Do Not Befriend Hypocrites. (1:01:53) This is another lesson which we can relate it to that best community ever raised among the people that God is telling us that be aware of the outsiders who never cease to wish you harm and wish to see you suffer. (1:02:18) The only person who or people who can be like that to wish harm and want to see other people suffer, they should be devilish. (1:02:34) There is no humanity involved because that is the time that you have completely given up your soul to the Satan. (1:02:48) Because these are the things which are Satanic, wishing other people harm and suffering. (1:02:55) A righteous person a person who believes in God and is living a righteous life he or she never wants suffering or harm for anybody else. (1:03:11) God is saying that hatred shows through their mouths and what their chest height is even worse. (1:03:16) That's very interesting. (1:03:18) People who are like this people who enjoy seeing other people suffer they harm themselves, they hurt themselves they suffer more than the others because you live your life, you believe in God, you are living a life that you think, you believe is the righteous life. (1:03:39) But those people who have nothing else to just watch you and suffer because they suffer with the way that you walk, the way you talk the way you eat they just, whatever they do, you do they are the ones who are looking for something. (1:04:00) They just all the time are because they are full of so much hatred which God says hatred shows through their mouths and what their chest is hiding is worse. (1:04:12) I have seen it through my own life that no matter what you do, sometimes you are even unaware of the fact that some people are watching you and are suffering because of what you do. (1:04:27) You just do it naturally because of your beliefs, but others who are watching you, they get hurt. (1:04:34) They just, either it's unacceptable to them or for no reason. (1:04:39) For example if I go and tell a friend that I go to Friday prayers first of all they look at me and say hey what is wrong with you? (1:04:50) What are you up to? (1:04:51) Why you go to? (1:04:52) Because it is the tradition in the Muslim world that either you are stupid and follow God's revelation especially among the educated or you are after something other than that there is no reason for you to go to a Friday prayer or go and spend your time reading the Quran. (1:05:13) This is the fact so as soon as they hear that their receivers in their radars start collecting all the signals and you wouldn't believe how many channels they have to receive. (1:05:26) You only have you are emitting on one channel there but they have million channels receiving. (1:05:31) So they are the ones who worry about it. (1:05:34) You don't worry you just (1:05:35) living what you doing what (1:05:37) you believe is right (1:05:39) and hopefully it is (1:05:41) and you know but they are (1:05:43) the ones who are (1:05:45) worrying you know what is going on (1:05:47) because they although (1:05:49) they say that (1:05:52) they don't want (1:05:53) follow you they don't want to do the same thing (1:05:55) that you do but (1:05:57) somehow for some reason (1:05:59) they are so much interested (1:06:01) they want to see (1:06:03) why and when you tell them (1:06:05) then it is like talking to (1:06:07) a stone wall (1:06:11) for you that you may understand (1:06:15) here (1:06:15) you are loving them while they do (1:06:17) not love you and you believe (1:06:19) in all the scripture (1:06:21) this is why you love everyone else (1:06:23) as God says (1:06:24) in the verses that they (1:06:27) refer to a righteous (1:06:29) person a believer (1:06:30) doesn't see any distinction (1:06:33) among anybody else (1:06:34) and sees everyone the same (1:06:37) that is what (1:06:39) we have a lot of discussion (1:06:40) with my own kids for sleeping both of them (1:06:43) more or less (1:06:45) about racial issues (1:06:47) how (1:06:49) we can blame other people for being (1:06:51) racist how we can blame other people (1:06:53) looking at us differently (1:06:55) rather than looking (1:06:57) you know similar to (1:06:59) everybody else but the fact (1:07:01) is I have to go first back to (1:07:03) my own system and (1:07:05) see whether I see anybody (1:07:07) else differently whether (1:07:08) I see a white (1:07:11) person from a black person (1:07:13) an oriental from (1:07:14) an Iranian and so on and so (1:07:17) forth if I can do (1:07:18) if I can claim myself (1:07:20) if I can purify my own (1:07:22) soul to see everyone else (1:07:24) the same then I won't have any (1:07:26) problem with other people because (1:07:28) if they look at me and (1:07:30) they think that I am a different (1:07:32) race or they are racist (1:07:34) I look at them and I see that they are suffering (1:07:36) as God is saying exactly (1:07:38) they are the ones who are (1:07:40) suffering because they (1:07:42) think that they want you to suffer (1:07:44) enjoy it but if you (1:07:47) purify your own (1:07:48) self and (1:07:50) get to the point that (1:07:52) you are a righteous person (1:07:55) you don't see any difference (1:07:56) between any other people and then you (1:07:58) don't care about what other people see (1:08:00) and that is (1:08:03) what is expected (1:08:04) from you (1:08:06) when they meet you (1:08:08) they say we believe (1:08:10) I think most of us have that (1:08:12) experience then as soon as they (1:08:14) leave they bite their fingers out (1:08:16) of rage towards you (1:08:18) say die in your rage (1:08:20) God is fully aware of innermost (1:08:22) thoughts (1:08:24) so this is (1:08:27) I am not going to (1:08:29) talk more (1:08:30) about it it is very clear (1:08:32) and 120 (1:08:33) when something good touches you they hurt (1:08:36) and when something bad happens (1:08:38) to you they rejoice (1:08:39) if you step back and persevere and maintain righteousness (1:08:43) the schemes will never hurt you (1:08:44) God controls everything they do (1:08:46) God has given assurance to us (1:08:49) that if we put (1:08:51) all of our faith (1:08:52) in Him and follow (1:08:54) what He tells us to (1:08:56) follow then (1:08:58) we have nothing to worry (1:09:00) that is the best expression (1:09:03) nothing to fear (1:09:04) nothing to grieve (1:09:07) and (1:09:08) the people who are hurt (1:09:10) who grieve (1:09:11) who are jealous (1:09:15) they are suffering (1:09:16) let be it I have nothing to do with it (1:09:18) that's the life that they (1:09:20) chose (1:09:22) that's the way that they are going and this is the way (1:09:24) that I am going (1:09:25) so God is assuring us (1:09:28) that He is aware (1:09:29) and He is controlling (1:09:32) everything they do (1:09:34) and so I don't (1:09:36) have to worry about it (1:09:38) and think too much about it (1:09:39) it's a very very good (1:09:42) lesson that (1:09:45) I don't mean (1:09:46) don't get me wrong (1:09:48) that you don't have to do (1:09:50) you don't have to do your responsibilities (1:09:52) because God is exactly (1:09:54) telling us that if you are part of that (1:09:56) community you always (1:09:57) have to be aware (1:09:58) you have to be advocating righteousness and (1:10:01) forbidding evil which is part of the community (1:10:04) part of your social (1:10:06) responsibilities but (1:10:08) if you put too much emphasis on what (1:10:10) other people say about you or think (1:10:12) about you then that's the (1:10:14) time that you are in trouble (1:10:16) I stop here before (1:10:17) starting 121 for questions (1:10:20) and discussions again Speaker 5 (1:10:26) verse 119 (1:10:28) where God says (1:10:29) that as soon as they leave they bite their fingers (1:10:32) out of rage (1:10:33) in surah 25 verse 27 (1:10:37) page (1:10:38) 362 (1:10:40) God says (1:10:41) the day will come when the transgressor (1:10:43) will bite his hands in anguish (1:10:45) but what I think is interesting (1:10:48) here, very beautiful and interesting (1:10:50) is that God says that he knows (1:10:51) what is in the chest (1:10:52) and he says in surah 3 (1:10:56) verse 119 (1:10:58) he's fully aware of the innermost thoughts (1:11:00) that's a tendency (1:11:02) to bite one's hands (1:11:03) in an abnormal way (1:11:05) biting his fingers (1:11:07) is very common (1:11:08) anger and rage (1:11:10) they may appear (1:11:13) to be otherwise but this is (1:11:15) something they can actually recognize (1:11:17) one kind of indication (1:11:19) that a person has is anxiety (1:11:21) and God knows it (1:11:23) and I see these two verses (1:11:25) where we're talking about anger and rage (1:11:28) and God knows what is in the heart (1:11:30) and he knows (1:11:31) what human beings do, certain habits (1:11:34) as they develop as a function (1:11:36) of whether or not they're in a state of peace (1:11:38) or they are in a state of (1:11:40) anguish or rage (1:11:42) so in that sense God is (1:11:44) he is aware (1:11:45) he knows the relationship between (1:11:48) behavior (1:11:50) certain habits (1:11:51) the things we do and what's happening inside of us (1:11:54) and we see the major thing here (1:11:56) of the anguish, the rage, the suffering Speaker 1 (1:12:06) I want to talk about (1:12:07) surah 18 (1:12:08) actually a few of them (1:12:10) we are people who decided (1:12:12) that God knows best (1:12:13) better than anyone else (1:12:15) what is good for us, what is bad for us (1:12:19) and we are (1:12:19) servants and preachers and we decided (1:12:21) we will obey what he tells us (1:12:24) and God has a very (1:12:26) good reason for any of these commandments (1:12:28) now here he's telling us (1:12:29) all you who believe, do not befriend (1:12:33) outsiders (1:12:33) etc. (1:12:34) etc. (1:12:34) do not befriend them why is God telling us this? (1:12:40) from the (1:12:40) experience we've seen in the last (1:12:42) 12 years in this message (1:12:45) it's because (1:12:47) these people, the outsiders (1:12:49) these people (1:12:50) may take you away (1:12:52) and we know what this means (1:12:56) actually (1:12:57) we do everything possible (1:12:59) to stop you (1:13:00) from being here (1:13:03) from continuing to (1:13:04) worship God and follow his commandments (1:13:07) and this is the biggest disaster (1:13:09) that can ever happen to anybody (1:13:11) and we've seen it happen (1:13:12) and we've seen it happen (1:13:15) we've seen the consequences for those people (1:13:17) and then God is giving (1:13:18) criteria and descriptions of these people (1:13:22) so (1:13:23) a good subtitle (1:13:25) here would be run for your life (1:13:28) when you (1:13:29) meet these people and sense (1:13:31) that they are not totally (1:13:34) in agreement (1:13:35) with following God's commandments (1:13:37) for example if they mock the private (1:13:39) prayer (1:13:40) I'm telling you I've seen people who were dismissed (1:13:43) from God's grace because of not doing (1:13:45) the private prayer (1:13:47) they didn't have excuses (1:13:50) you have (1:13:51) a very good excuse (1:13:53) but God knows (1:13:54) when you are in God you cannot possibly make (1:13:57) the private prayer (1:13:58) that's fine but these are people (1:13:59) who in their mind it is not (1:14:01) important to do the private prayer (1:14:03) when God says when the private prayer comes (1:14:05) go to the private prayer and drop all (1:14:07) business, God is saying this (1:14:10) so even believers who follow (1:14:11) God and obey him or will not (1:14:13) there is no in between (1:14:16) God is saying all you who believe (1:14:18) do not defend outsiders who (1:14:19) etc. (1:14:20) etc. (1:14:20) all the descriptions what is God's interest in this? (1:14:24) our welfare because if we mix with them they will implement us and there is that chance or that possibility that may take us away from the path of God and this is the biggest disaster especially when you come this close when you are sitting here at noon witnessing miracles, right? (1:14:46) witnessing miracles greater than Moses (1:14:48) miracles when he threw down the statue (1:14:51) so after seeing (1:14:52) all this when you see (1:14:54) God's commandment (1:14:58) God says to not (1:14:59) defend them, maybe if I (1:15:02) talk to them, but defend (1:15:03) is a very dangerous disobedience (1:15:05) of God Speaker 7 (1:15:07) first of all all believers (1:15:09) have to be (1:15:11) the most hopeful (1:15:13) and they do not (1:15:15) share all these descriptions with people on the street (1:15:17) but those people here (1:15:19) they don't have (1:15:21) any gaze or any description (1:15:23) those people are (1:15:25) they are not sincere people (1:15:28) they are praying in both sides (1:15:30) and for this reason (1:15:31) those people who defend these people (1:15:34) will not give you anything (1:15:36) you will not gain anything from them (1:15:38) they will not gain anything from you (1:15:39) because really they are not sincere (1:15:42) only they will give you Speaker 1 (1:15:44) bad things (1:15:46) of course you can try (1:15:48) to help them, guide them (1:15:50) but once you (1:15:51) you deliver the message (1:15:54) you try to help them and then you find (1:15:55) that they are not responding (1:15:57) and they continue the defiance (1:15:59) of God and mocking you and so on (1:16:01) that's for your life (1:16:05) it's a very important commandment (1:16:07) you will not take God's orders lightly (1:16:09) all you who believe do not (1:16:11) defend outsiders who never (1:16:13) cease to wish you harm etc (1:16:14) so you take this seriously (1:16:25) back to Dr. Subahi (1:16:27) Dr. Subahi (1:16:29) the believers Speaker 5 (1:16:34) are recognized (1:16:36) the righteous people are recognized (1:16:38) by the (1:16:39) by the people who don't believe in the (1:16:41) hereafter (1:16:43) and the reason they want (1:16:46) although they say they don't believe (1:16:48) in what you are doing (1:16:51) deep inside they think (1:16:54) you might be right (1:16:56) and (1:16:56) you are scared (1:16:59) they want you to (1:17:01) they want you to be in the same (1:17:02) pot with them (1:17:07) and the only way (1:17:09) they can see is (1:17:11) that you are wrong (1:17:12) and something bad will happen to you (1:17:15) and they look forward (1:17:16) that something will happen (1:17:18) bad happens to you but it never happens (1:17:20) or if it happens they rejoice (1:17:22) if it doesn't happen (1:17:24) they are (1:17:26) you know (1:17:28) outraged (1:17:29) inside (1:17:31) it's just because (1:17:35) deep in their (1:17:36) in their heart (1:17:40) they think (1:17:41) you might be right and they'll be (1:17:43) in real trouble (1:17:45) and they want to tell you (1:17:47) the same Speaker 1 (1:17:52) Abdullah is quoting 489 (1:17:54) let's look at it (1:17:56) it's exactly (1:17:58) what God is telling us (1:18:02) very good psychological analysis (1:18:06) page 92 (1:18:07) they wish that you disbelieve (1:18:09) as they have disbelieved (1:18:10) then you become equal (1:18:12) you'll be in the same boat (1:18:17) you just may feel that (1:18:23) I don't know I have a feeling (1:18:24) that they sense your soul (1:18:26) the size of your soul (1:18:27) kind of bothers them (1:18:30) they have a sockets (1:18:31) they go there and take over (1:18:35) they want you to be in the same boat as they are (1:18:42) page 121 (1:18:43) the battle of Badr Speaker 2 (1:18:46) 121 (1:18:47) the battle of Badr (1:18:49) recall that you Muhammad (1:18:51) set out to assign to your people (1:18:53) their positions for battle (1:18:54) and God is here (1:18:57) omniscient (1:18:59) 122 (1:19:00) two groups (1:19:03) of you almost failed (1:19:05) and God was their Lord (1:19:06) in God the believers shall trust (1:19:09) thus God gave you victory (1:19:11) at Badr even though you were weak (1:19:13) you shall observe God (1:19:15) to show your appreciation (1:19:17) you told the believers (1:19:19) is it not enough that your Lord (1:19:21) supports you with 3,000 angels (1:19:23) descending (1:19:25) yes if you steadfastly (1:19:27) persevere and maintain righteousness (1:19:28) then they will (1:19:31) attack you suddenly (1:19:32) your Lord will supply you with 5,000 angels (1:19:35) well trained (1:19:38) 126 (1:19:39) God gives you (1:19:40) this good news to reassure your hearts (1:19:43) victory comes (1:19:45) only from God the almighty most wise (1:19:48) 127 (1:19:49) he thus (1:19:50) annihilates some disbelievers (1:19:52) or neutralizes them (1:19:54) so they end up in failure (1:19:57) 128 (1:19:58) it is not up to you (1:19:59) he may redeem them or punish them for their sins (1:20:03) 129 (1:20:04) to God belongs everything (1:20:06) in the heavens and everything on the earth (1:20:08) he forgives (1:20:09) whomever he wills and punishes (1:20:12) whomever he wills (1:20:13) God's forgiver merciful (1:20:15) I stop here (1:20:20) 121 (1:20:20) to 129 (1:20:22) the next one is (1:20:23) as the subtitle says (1:20:25) it's about the battle of Badr (1:20:27) which (1:20:29) I think (1:20:30) it is the first battle that (1:20:34) Mohammed and his followers (1:20:36) had to fight against (1:20:37) disbelievers (1:20:42) God is (1:20:44) reminding (1:20:45) Mohammed (1:20:47) that when you (1:20:48) were assigning people in the position (1:20:50) for battle they knew (1:20:52) that they are going to attack them in their town (1:20:54) that community that they had (1:20:57) and there were this bunch of (1:20:58) this group of believers (1:21:00) with a prophet (1:21:01) and they were ready to defend (1:21:04) and of course (1:21:07) it seems (1:21:08) that not all of (1:21:10) those people were at the same level (1:21:12) of belief (1:21:13) there were some who were better believers (1:21:16) there were stronger believers (1:21:17) and maybe there were people who had (1:21:19) some (1:21:23) some doubts (1:21:24) in how far or how much (1:21:26) God can help them (1:21:27) so God is (1:21:30) reminding Mohammed (1:21:31) that when you (1:21:33) were assigning your people for the positions (1:21:36) for the battle (1:21:38) two groups of you (1:21:39) almost failed (1:21:42) and God was their lord (1:21:45) although two groups of you (1:21:48) failed (1:21:48) since I don't know the exact (1:21:50) history of the battle of Badr (1:21:53) I don't know if this failure (1:21:55) is in the real battle (1:21:58) that they went out and fought (1:21:59) and failed or (1:22:01) they failed the test because this was a test (1:22:04) of how much (1:22:05) you believe (1:22:07) imagine that (1:22:09) something happens outside (1:22:11) now we have to go and put our lives (1:22:13) say ok this is for God (1:22:16) and God wants us (1:22:17) to go and fight these people who are attacking (1:22:19) this mosque (1:22:20) and then that's the real test (1:22:22) this is one of the most precious things that you like (1:22:25) it's your life (1:22:26) you have to go and risk your life (1:22:29) in the cause of God (1:22:31) you know it is for God (1:22:32) so it seems that if people have different (1:22:36) levels of belief (1:22:37) some people may doubt it (1:22:39) say is this real (1:22:42) battle? (1:22:42) is this really Muhammad? (1:22:43) this is for God? (1:22:45) and then you question (1:22:47) and (1:22:49) God is saying that two groups of you (1:22:51) almost failed in that (1:22:53) because those people didn't trust (1:22:55) or didn't believe that God can (1:22:58) help them with his angels (1:22:59) and then God is saying in (1:23:02) 1.23 that God (1:23:04) gave you victory at Badr even though (1:23:06) you were weak (1:23:08) outnumbered, weaker (1:23:09) maybe the other (1:23:10) side had better arsenal (1:23:13) and (1:23:14) God is reminding them that you (1:23:16) shall observe God (1:23:17) to show your appreciation (1:23:20) he helped you, he made you victorious (1:23:22) over the disbelievers (1:23:24) and you should remember (1:23:26) you have to always remember God (1:23:28) you told the believers (1:23:30) is it not enough that your Lord supports you with (1:23:32) 3,000 angels (1:23:35) yes if you step past the persevere (1:23:37) and maintain righteousness (1:23:39) then they attack you, suddenly your Lord will (1:23:41) supply you with 5,000 angels (1:23:43) well trained (1:23:43) this clearly shows that (1:23:46) how a believer (1:23:49) as Rashad just (1:23:51) beautifully put it (1:23:53) if you are a believer (1:23:54) you have so much strength (1:23:56) you have something about you (1:24:00) that (1:24:01) even at the everyday life (1:24:03) causes (1:24:04) that strength (1:24:06) it shows in your system (1:24:08) you walk (1:24:09) you talk with more strength (1:24:11) with self confidence because (1:24:13) as was mentioned (1:24:16) in today's khutba (1:24:18) since you believe in God (1:24:20) you believe in someone (1:24:22) who is the superior (1:24:24) force, who is the creator (1:24:26) of the whole universe (1:24:28) so you see everybody else the same (1:24:30) you don't worry about your boss (1:24:32) you don't worry about anything (1:24:34) you, your soul (1:24:36) has grown so big (1:24:38) hopefully (1:24:40) that if you go in a room (1:24:42) with some disbelievers then there is not (1:24:43) enough room, they just get pushed (1:24:46) they get squished (1:24:47) so (1:24:49) that's the time that God comes to your help (1:24:52) you go in a community (1:24:53) and you see that, this reminds me (1:24:56) of (1:24:57) a story that (1:24:59) I was told (1:25:00) I don't know whether I told you this or not (1:25:03) Tariq is here, I was talking to his parents (1:25:05) because they are Muslims (1:25:07) and they were saying that (1:25:09) the first time they were exposed (1:25:11) to Islam through Elijah Muhammad (1:25:14) in (1:25:15) Brooklyn, New York (1:25:17) before that they were just (1:25:19) normal people, they were always (1:25:20) thought that (1:25:23) they are (1:25:25) inferior to other people (1:25:27) and so on and so forth (1:25:28) but when they went through and they were introduced (1:25:31) into what was (1:25:32) told to them that this is (1:25:35) Islam, whatever it was (1:25:36) that there is a God, Allah (1:25:38) you have to follow Him, you believe in Him (1:25:40) and if you follow that, you do your prayers (1:25:43) then you are strong (1:25:44) and they were saying that after they (1:25:46) even they got that (1:25:48) close to the (1:25:51) real thing which is (1:25:52) believing in God, which then (1:25:54) as we know the history of (1:25:56) the Black Muslim (1:25:58) movement in this country (1:26:02) which (1:26:02) I'm sure Douglas (1:26:04) is a better (1:26:07) position to (1:26:08) tell us about it, but the (1:26:10) thing that was interesting to me was (1:26:12) the strength that they said they felt (1:26:14) with this, they said that (1:26:16) all of a sudden they felt that God is (1:26:18) giving them so much strength (1:26:20) that they would go to places that (1:26:22) they never imagined that they could go (1:26:24) they would go to places (1:26:26) which were drug dealers with shotguns (1:26:28) you know, and they were saying (1:26:30) that they would go to these places (1:26:32) and all of these nastiest people in the (1:26:34) world that live in that area were afraid (1:26:36) of them, even they had shotguns (1:26:38) even they had knives (1:26:39) and (1:26:43) that shows (1:26:44) this is an example but (1:26:46) God is telling us exactly that (1:26:49) if you believe in (1:26:50) Him, He's going to support you (1:26:52) the angels, the numbers (1:26:54) that are given here which in the footnote (1:26:56) you can see that (1:26:58) the numbers that occur in the Quran (1:27:00) are multiple of 19 (1:27:03) God is (1:27:04) giving these numbers and telling us that (1:27:07) in everyday life (1:27:08) and also in the real battles that (1:27:10) has happened in the past (1:27:12) and may happen (1:27:14) in other forms, it doesn't have to (1:27:16) be battles that you fight with (1:27:18) bombs and (1:27:20) guns and so on (1:27:21) everyday battle with believers (1:27:24) which nowadays is mostly (1:27:26) through (1:27:28) through communications (1:27:30) then God is going to help you (1:27:32) to be winners (1:27:36) 126, God gives you this good news (1:27:38) to reassure your hearts (1:27:39) victory comes only from God (1:27:42) the almighty most wise, this is the reassurance (1:27:44) that God has given us (1:27:46) the good news (1:27:47) it does annihilate some (1:27:49) disbelievers or neutralizes them (1:27:51) so they end up in failure (1:27:54) it is not (1:27:55) up to you 126 (1:27:57) He may redeem them or punish (1:27:59) them for their sins (1:28:01) after you have done your work (1:28:02) you have done your job (1:28:05) it is not up to you (1:28:07) I don't know why always when I teach (1:28:09) one of these verses come up (1:28:11) that it's not up to you (1:28:13) He may redeem them or punish them (1:28:15) for their sins (1:28:16) so you have to do your homework (1:28:18) the rest of it is up to God (1:28:21) to decide what He wants to do (1:28:23) with the disbeliever (1:28:25) to God belongs everything (1:28:27) in the heavens and everything on the earth (1:28:29) He forgives (1:28:30) whomever He wills and punishes (1:28:32) whomever He wills, God is forgiver (1:28:35) merciful (1:28:35) I stop for discussion and questions (1:28:39) here Speaker 1 (1:28:41) I have lots to say here (1:28:43) Any questions? (1:28:46) First of all I urge you (1:28:47) or encourage you (1:28:49) to go to any public (1:28:51) library and look up (1:28:52) the Encyclopedia Britannica (1:28:55) under that B-A-D-R (1:28:57) and in the (1:28:59) Encyclopedia Britannica they give you (1:29:01) the numbers of equipment (1:29:03) on both sides, disbelievers and the believers (1:29:06) and you can (1:29:07) see according to those numbers (1:29:09) from history that (1:29:10) the disbelievers vastly outnumber (1:29:13) the believers (1:29:14) at least 10 times much in every category (1:29:17) I mean 70 cannons (1:29:18) against 7 things (1:29:20) actually more than that, look it up (1:29:22) in the Encyclopedia Britannica (1:29:25) and then you look at the (1:29:26) outcome of this battle and they say that (1:29:28) militarily (1:29:30) it doesn't make sense, the outcome (1:29:32) doesn't make sense, of course they (1:29:34) couldn't count the invisible (1:29:37) forces (1:29:37) of the 3,000 (1:29:39) if you don't see the 3,000 angels (1:29:41) on the side of the believers (1:29:44) and so this will (1:29:45) be quite Speaker 11 (1:29:47) this is Muhammad's side Speaker 1 (1:29:54) and the pagan side (1:29:57) it's quite fair (1:30:04) so let's go and look for it (1:30:06) in any public library (1:30:07) and you'll see this Speaker 11 (1:30:17) Britannica Speaker 1 (1:30:26) Britannica (1:30:27) public library (1:30:37) the other thing I want to say is (1:30:39) you notice this is specifically (1:30:41) I maintained that the time of (1:30:46) Jihad was then (1:30:47) but now the battle is completely mental (1:30:52) however (1:30:52) I want to share with you a few (1:30:55) instances where (1:30:57) there may be this simulation (1:30:58) of Jihad or something (1:31:00) for example my first visit to (1:31:03) Canada, I don't know if you still have (1:31:04) the scar there (1:31:05) but there were so many threats (1:31:10) against my life before I went (1:31:12) and Satan participated heavily (1:31:15) in that to the point that (1:31:16) I left Canada knowing that (1:31:18) I would die there (1:31:19) this is the impression (1:31:21) there were very strange things happening (1:31:25) for example the day (1:31:26) before I left, I'm sitting peacefully (1:31:28) watching the TV at home and all of a sudden (1:31:30) my wife says, do you have insurance in your life? Speaker 10 (1:31:34) laughter
